    Okay so while in Newport Beach walking casually around fashion island, low and behold what god we come upon???? Mind you this is an outdoor mall or shopping center....Why looks it's a Tesla dealership. My lovely daughter has to go in. (Mind you she will be sixteen in 6 days) One of her many aspirations, just let me sit in a Tesla. This location is a small showroom with about 3 cars I believe. Several sales people with Apple iPads to take your order and explain how everything works. Very modern showroom, reminds ex of being at the LA Auto show. I was impressed as was my daughter. Sometimes it's just nice to see how the other half lives... so if you're local and looking for a Tesla, this is a showroom to check out.

    We love our Tesla but our salesperson Jonathan Bryant did not provide great customer service. The whole experience was disappointing, and not at all what I would have expected from a company as cutting edge as Tesla. There was very little assistance provided throughout the whole process. Once we ordered the car and placed a deposit in February 2021 for the Tesla to arrive around September 2021, we would have to take the initiative to see where it was in process. We also had issues trying to collect some bonus miles via a referral program, only after weeks of email follow up were we told it would not be possible to honor it. The program had ended by the time Jonathan got back to us (although the car had been ordered back in February). As another yelp reviewer mentioned about this same salesperson, we got the sense that once the $$$ale had been made, the customer was ignored. But other than the disappointing buying experience, we've been enjoying our Tesla (great sound system, beautiful glass sunroof you can stare at tree canopies and stars through & the acceleration (3.5s 0-60 mph) on the performance model are all my favorite features - not having to use gas to fill up is pretty cool too)!

    My wife really wanted the Model X because of the gimmicky Falcon Doors. To me I really don't think it's worth almost $100k and I really believe the Y is a much better car technology wise and of course price wise. So I decided to take my wife to the Tesla store to have her look at the white one white Tesla Y on the show room floor. Soko, the Tesla Advisor graciously approached us explaining very detail about the car and made the experience quite enjoyable. She was respectful, sweet and of course easy to talk to. I commend her on the customer service and the willingness to go above and beyond. We ended up putting a $100 deposit yay!

    TL;DR Bryan Wang is great!!! He helped me decide on the car, the options, and placed the order. He took care of everything I needed even after delivery. So I went to the Tesla store in Fashion Island. It was Thanksgiving week and I was just poking around. I had been thinking about a Model 3 or Y but wasn't in a rush to buy a new car. Bryan walked me through the cars, we measured dimensions, tried to imagine different use cases (e.g. how to use the tow hitch, roof rack as an option...) and walked me through the colors inside and out. He helped me place an order for a Performance model in white/ white mid November and estimated that it would be ready by mid-December. The car was delivered 12/9!!! Super knowledgeable. Very personable. Very responsive by text and phone. Bryan is fantastic and clearly wasting his time here - he should be doing bigger and better things. Tesla is lucky to have him. Oh BTW, the car is nice too. :) Here's a pic of the Aluminum Falcon.

I was nervous as I arrived alone and every past experience with dealerships has been abrupt & rude and had felt like I got had at some level. The day before, I had consulted with Carmax who offered $1,900 less than the online Kelley Blue Book offer. The week before that, a friend offered to help me sell my Jeep but he tried to get me to sign my title without a date saying that's what all sellers do in advance of selling cars. (Never sign the title until the money has been surrendered to you and the buyer is standing in front of you. I felt betrayed and disappointed by the so-called "friend". I had already contacted a shop owner & friends who only purchase Jeeps. They all wanted to buy my Jeep but times are tough lately & no one was liquid to purchase. I'm telling you all this to let you know how discouraged and roughed up I was feeling by the time I arranged my appoint my for Phillips Auto to see my Jeep. I am spreading the word now that your experience with Phillips will also feel great. You will be greeted in a friendly, professional casual manner. I finally met the affable Andreas (who had been communicating with me about my Jeep I was thinking of selling) and the impressive Bianca who feels like a friend from the start. She is in charge and you feel comfortable and charmed and informed. Both are kind and efficient while appraising my vehicle. Bianca's experienced eye and candor helps the checklist go fast. Their offer price was transparent and fair; very close to my Kelley Blue Book estimate. Bianca is prepared and lets you k is what she is thinking & openly helps you along with understanding the process. I chose to finalize selling my Jeep to Phillips because they gave me a fair offer and did not waste my time. Also, there was no pressure; they gave me the time I needed to call a couple friends' approval to hear their thumb's up. I got free water & a peaceful environment despite other customers & representatives doing business. The showroom is busy but not loud or bustly. Yes, I could have gone privately to sell my Jeep. But I had to get real with myself; I have never sold a vehicle privately before & my Jeep was older & would need time & investment of staging it well to sell it in my own. I did not have the knowledge to do all the trudge work necessary & not the time to meet & haggle with prospective buyers when Phillips has the staff & equipment to pass the Wrangler along to someone who would be just as happy with it as I have been driving it. The paperwork was quick. Phillips will do everything needed. All I did was sign & cancel my car insurance--and that process was not as nice as selling the car, wouldn't you know?! (I certainly felt taken advantage of by my car insurance later that day. That is a different and not as cheerful of a Yelp review & I have been with the same insurance company for 40 years.) Phillips treated me better on our first transaction than my long term insurance agent. Phillips Auto even provided me a complimentary Uber ride home. The wonderful element about Phillips is integrity & decency at this family-owned dealership. My car insurance franchise is also family-owned. Mind boggling with how wonderful I regard Phillips Auto. I'm going to keep referring all whom I care about to do business with Phillips Auto. Bianca is stellar. Please tell her you read this review. She is great people!!

I've leased multiple Land Rovers over the years -- from Mission Viejo, San Diego, and eventually Newport Beach when John Pham and Robb Bennett completely changed my mind back in 2019 on my white Velar. That experience was incredible. But then came the service nightmare in 2021 that had me swearing I'd never come back. I was done. I was actively shopping a Porsche Cayenne and was literally on my way to the Porsche dealership when Jason's email came through with a full lease breakdown -- drive-off options, term lengths, money factor, everything laid out transparently. I turned my car around. That is not an exaggeration. His pricing and total honesty stopped me mid-drive and put me back at square one deciding between two cars. That's the kind of impact a truly great salesperson has -- not by pushing, but by earning trust. Jason has been hands down the most responsive and helpful sales professional I've worked with across every Range Rover dealership in Southern California -- and I've talked to many. He follows up without being overbearing, respects your timeline, and never once made me feel pressured. When I told him I was headed to Mammoth for a ski weekend and needed time to think, he didn't push. He gave me space while still being available when I had questions. That balance is so rare. What I love most about Jason is his transparency. He proactively sent over the full deal structure with multiple options so I could compare and make an educated decision on what was best for me. No games, no hidden fees popping up later, no "let me go talk to my manager" back-and-forth. Just straight-up honesty. I told him directly -- in the five-plus leases I've done with Land Rover, I've never had anyone be this forthcoming with me. It made me feel valued and respected as a buyer, not just another deal to close. Jason genuinely cares about the customer experience, and it shows in every interaction -- every email, every call, every follow-up. He makes you feel like you're his only client. I went out of my way to tell him I wanted to speak with his manager and leave this review because people like Jason deserve to be recognized. This dealership clearly has something special when it comes to its people. John Pham made it easy to do business here in 2019, and now Jason is carrying that same torch with the same customer-first energy. If you're shopping a Range Rover, do yourself a favor and ask for Jason Villarreal. Our transmission is suffering from a commonly issue that everyone is talking about on forums and even AI suggest the same problem. When I asked Luis that I want my TCU transmission control module to be reprogrammed or relearned, his reply was we don't just use pocket size scanners but we use sophisticated tools and run different diagnosis to read error codes. I was kind of offended. I did tell him that I too have checked the car and he will not find no error codes. The way he acted was like he's talking to some stupid person who knows nothing about cars.the only reason I took the car to them was that the scanner I have would not do the relearning but it is not. Pocket size not a 50 dollars scanner. What I was asking him was what I wanted him to do to my car but instead he took our money and came to the same conclusion that there is no error codes and could not duplicate the problem. I'd like to post what needed to be done to my car but I don't know how to copy and paste the screen shots I took to teach this kid not to make fun of other people. I come from a very well known luxury exotic store that I closed and retired from and ran two new car stores myself and always depended on CSI. What occurred today was nothing but a kid with no experience nor wanting to actually listen to what I had to say but only cared to fish me in for couple of hours of labor rather than help fixing my issue and make us want to come back again. One star is too much for Luis!!!

Had an appointment with Laura V. but she was with another customer so David, the host, sent me to see Simon C. Simon was professional and efficient. He got the paperwork done quickly while I waited in his office. They also had the loaner (a 2026 model with only 4000 miles!) waiting for me on the lot. The waiting room was gorgeous, sparkling clean, and well-stocked with snacks and beverages. Laura followed up later after I left. She also sent a video of my car to my husband phone, then mine, once the technician started to check the car in. Laura stayed in touch and updated on the status of the car, which was done by noon the next day. Pickup was smooth, and Laura pleasantly assisted throughout the whole process. I also wanted to thank David for his assistance and his pleasant demeanor. This dealership is first class and top notch on their service. My car was also washed and spotless when I picked it up. Receptionist could have been a bit more welcoming though. Thank you everyone for the phenomenal experience.

Because of that, I came back for multiple oil changes. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was completely different. I was charged a high price for what should have been a simple oil change and cabin/air filter replacement, and I ended up waiting about two hours for the work to be completed. After talking it through with someone more familiar with car maintenance, it became clear that I was likely overcharged for a job that should have been quicker and more reasonably priced. What made the experience worse was the interaction before my appointment. When I asked for clarification about being told I may need "air," EU laughed at me for asking. I'm neurodivergent and sometimes take things more literally, so I was just trying to confirm whether I was being charged for something that is often free. Instead of explaining, I felt mocked for asking a simple question. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable or confident returning here. I'm sharing this as a caution for other customers--especially women and neurodivergent people--who may not be as familiar with car maintenance and rely on mechanics to be honest, respectful, and transparent.
