I placed my order in late January for the new Juniper Y Launch Edition and received an e mail that this location received vehicles to test drive. It was convenient to make an appointment for the following week which confirmed on my Tesla phone app within minutes. I also received a courtesy e mail and phone call days prior confirming my upcoming test drive. Located at the Newport Center Fashion Center you'll find the test-driving vehicles at the underground parking level across from the Restoration Hardware home furnishing store. I checked in at the Tesla sales office where I was introduced to Sergio who was friendly and knowledgeable about the entire Tesla product line. Compared to the predecessor Model Y the Launch Edition Juniper has been redesigned on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The front end now has a camera, light bar, pass thru vents, and the frunk can now be used as a ice chest with the addition of a drain plug. The rear section also has a light bar and has a totally redesigned modern look. After my test drive, I noticed the ride was a smoother, quieter and with the power boost which is included on the Launch model the car has respectable acceleration. The interior had the white interior which has sold out on the Launch edition, newly added ambient lighting, a return of the turn signal stalk, an upgraded sound system and now the rear seats can be lowered or raised electronically - via the trunk or from the control panel. The rear end also has a hidden light bar that reflects downward across the entire backside. In addition, the rear license plate had been moved to the lower section. Overall, I'm pleased with the look, test drive and improvements on the new Juniper Y Launch edition and I'm looking forward to picking up my new Juniper Y Launch edition which is arriving by the end of March. read more

Stopped in to this Tesla dealership in the Fashion Island mall. I use to have a Tesla and looking into getting a model x...they had some on display here and the new colors are beautiful! The sales person was very nice and he answered all my questions. If you want to do a test drive, it's a bit odd since the store itself is inside the mall, you would have to go to the parking lot where thy have that set up. I opted not to on this occasion since I didn't have much time to waste. I've never seen a dealership inside of a store in a mall. I'll have to go to an actual dealership where you can walk around a lot and see more models. Overall it was an interesting experience coming to this location. read more

I came here looking for a Tesla and was given wrong information and our advisor was not knowledgeable on the new Tesla updates, my dad was teaching her as he knew a lot more about Tesla. I was ready to buy a car and had a few questions however, never got a call back and it's been over five days. I learned to call Tesla in Costa Mesa and they answer promptly. Go there instead. Mind you this is an outdoor mall or shopping center....Why looks it's a Tesla dealership. My lovely daughter has to go in. (Mind you she will be sixteen in 6 days) One of her many aspirations, just let me sit in a Tesla. This location is a small showroom with about 3 cars I believe. Several sales people with Apple iPads to take your order and explain how everything works. Very modern showroom, reminds ex of being at the LA Auto show. I was impressed as was my daughter. Got there at 4:30 they said it will be another 20 minutes. Went and grabbed a bite to eat came back still not ready for another 20. No friendliness, no cares. Gave us the car- didn't do a tutorial. They were "too busy." We didn't even know how to open the trunk. Got the performance vehicle and they didn't even show us features or anything. It was like making a purchase online at Target. They just hand it to you. Very unprofessional! Definitely won't recommend buying a car thru this location! They were "too busy" selling cars to care about the people who have already handed them their money up front which means they don't care about their customers. I have never owned a Tesla, but I visited this store to find out more information about their pre-owned vehicles by speaking to someone in person. There was only one woman in the store named Kat, and she had little knowledge about their used vehicles and was even rather dismissive of them as if they are subpar compared to their 2024 counterparts. She was unable to answer even basic questions about used vehicles and really only showed us how to purchase them online, which I already knew, and how to submit our info so someone could contact us about used vehicles, which I didn't know. We love our Tesla but our salesperson Jonathan Bryant did not provide great customer service. The whole experience was disappointing, and not at all what I would have expected from a company as cutting edge as Tesla. There was very little assistance provided throughout the whole process. Once we ordered the car and placed a deposit in February 2021 for the Tesla to arrive around September 2021, we would have to take the initiative to see where it was in process. We also had issues trying to collect some bonus miles via a referral program, only after weeks of email follow up were we told it would not be possible to honor it. The program had ended by the time Jonathan got back to us (although the car had been ordered back in February). As another yelp reviewer mentioned about this same salesperson, we got the sense that once the $$$ale had been made, the customer was ignored. But other than the disappointing buying experience, we've been enjoying our Tesla (great sound system, beautiful glass sunroof you can stare at tree canopies and stars through & the acceleration (3.5s 0-60 mph) on the performance model are all my favorite features - not having to use gas to fill up is pretty cool too)! read more

Stay away from salesman JD. After he sells you a car he ghosts you and never calls back if you need to reach him. They sold us a lemon model x. Cracked glass, whistling noise from the compartment, lop sided steering wheel. We submitted a work order, took it to Tesla in Santa Ana to repair, they gave us no communication status update, kept our car fir three days, assured us the repairs were made, but car still has whistling noise, lop sided steering wheel, and crack. I probably spoke with him for 5 minutes tops about pricing, but he made it seem like I had been yanking his chain for hours, and overall frustrated the entire time. In addition, after scheduling the initial test drive that brought me in the shop, I couldn't get a hold of anyone to confirm it / ask questions, after trying for a few days. I'd be more willing to let this slide if I wasn't about to spend $80,000 on a vehicle with them... we're not exactly talking peanuts here. TL;DR Bryan Wang is great!!! He helped me decide on the car, the options, and placed the order. He took care of everything I needed even after delivery. So I went to the Tesla store in Fashion Island. It was Thanksgiving week and I was just poking around. I had been thinking about a Model 3 or Y but wasn't in a rush to buy a new car. Bryan walked me through the cars, we measured dimensions, tried to imagine different use cases (e.g. how to use the tow hitch, roof rack as an option...) and walked me through the colors inside and out. He helped me place an order for a Performance model in white/ white mid November and estimated that it would be ready by mid-December. The car was delivered 12/9!!! Super knowledgeable. Very personable. Very responsive by text and phone. Bryan is fantastic and clearly wasting his time here - he should be doing bigger and better things. Tesla is lucky to have him. I have to admit when I first saw the Tesla store I thought to myself that will never be me. I to use to be a gashole and believed the negative hype in the media about Tesla and electric vehicles. As techie, I have also looked at my Nokia and thought why would I ever need a smart phone. I went from Crackberry to Google phone and looking back I can't imagine my life if I did stick to a phone that just makes calls and plays snake. My point is people change. I spent years researching cars. I wanted something more efficient, safe, looks nice, and fun to drive. I realized I could either buy a fully loaded affordable car or a luxury base model car but thought of the dealership and the gas cost disgusted me. No matter what car I looked at there were features that I cared about missing. Until I meet Tesla. My fevers went away. Over 300 miles range? Tesla Supercharger network? Low cost of maintenance and fuel cost? Fast AF and not to mention sexy? Infotainment and navigation? What's auto pilot? Yes in all categories. It's the little things that spark joy. Sometimes I drive to work on a Monday morning and I have Joker grin when I step on the accelerator. When I get back from a long road trip I plug my car in to charge at home. It's like a cellphone. I just plug and wake up the next morning ready to drive some more. I never think about how far something is and the cost of gas. I just think I want to drive to Malibu and I feel a little tired I will just turn on autopilot and enjoy (still paying attention of course). I knew I was ready to buy a new car the day I visit Newport Beach Tesla location. I scheduled a test drive but I want to browse the store models first. There was no pressure to buy and I didn't get that look. You know the look. Just found out my rep never applied even though he claimed he did, my referral code for both mine and my boyfriend's model 3s. I was supposed to get 1k using my friend's referral code and my bf and I were both supposed to get 5k supercharger miles because he used my referral code during the period between 5/1-5/28/19. Our rep, Kevin, reassured on multiple occasions it would be applied to our accounts. Never did. Now Tesla is saying it wasn't applied. So sketch! TESLA DEFECTIVE SEAT MATERIAL~ Tesla refuses to acknowledge responsibility for its awful, falling apart "premium seats". Premium Seats are just a kind of faux leather. We were told when they were selling us on the new material used on the interior of the Model S (2018) that it was "more durable" than the leather seats that were in previous years of the Model S. I had another Model S for 3 years before I purchased the 2018. NOT!! The seats in the first model S were leather and were perfect for the entire 3 years! Within 6 months of receiving the 2018 Model S the seats began to bubble and wrinkle on the driver's side. It has done nothing but get worse. Additionally, the passenger side has started to bubble and discolor as well. I am not a person who ever normally likes to return things or complain if I don't have to. After 9 months my husband called to have Tesla look at the seats. By that point, they were much worse. They began tearing and turning darker under and around the affected areas. They were so clearly NOT more durable than the seats in my other Tesla, it seemed like a no brainer that they would pay for a new seat or somehow fix the seat. After the guy from Tesla came to take pictures of the damage it took weeks before Tesla finally got back to us. When they finally did, shockingly, they informed us that they will not pay or take any responsibility for the cheap, thin, fake leather that falls apart AND they had the nerve to claim the damage is something I did! What? It's not like I wear pants made of sand paper!! I am 55 years old and have had many cars. This has never happened to any car I have had. If Tesla takes the position that by using my seat I caused the damage, I wonder why using the other seats in all of the many cars I had before didn't cause any damage!! Sadly, I absolutely love the car otherwise, but am soo very disappointed in Tesla's bad customer service and failure to stand behind its word (better and more durable) and its product that it makes me not want to get another one!! This review is solely for RUSS who is an absolute angel on earth- I'm so sorry this took 6 months! I got into a car accident last September that left my car totaled and needed something to get back on the road. Of course the timing couldn't be worse because the market to buy cars, along with everything else, was absolutely horrible. I knew I wanted my next choice to be an EV and I went into this showroom not having any expectations whatsoever. I was paired up with RUSS and he was extremely informative without being pushy which put me at ease almost immediately. After hearing my options, I decided it would be best to be put on the staggering long waitlist. RUSS was amazing and not only checked on my status on a daily basis but would keep me updated with tidbits of extra information such as loans and etcetera which is something I didn't expect him to do. Even after the wait time was unbearable and I thought I would need to look for an alternative option, he managed to find a car for me from a different state that could be delivered within a week. I was shocked when it appeared in my driveway and the moments he checked in afterward. Horrific customer service!!! Do not work with ANDREA BERUMEN!!! We ordered our Model Y in early March after a test drive. We were very transparent that we could not accept delivery of our car before June 30th due to financing constraints (closing on our house). We were also going to be moving to Boston during this time and would take delivery of the car just after June 30th in Boston. We were very clear about this. Andrea suggested we ordered the car immediately and that she would take care of everything to ensure that everything ran smoothly and promised us as such. She continued reassuring us that everything was running smoothly up until recently when our car was given to another customer and were told that we could have to wait until September for delivery. After calling tesla customer service, we were informed that there is no way she could have made any such promises and even suggested that maybe she was a new employee and didn't know any better. After speaking to her recently she told me that she made no such representations regarding delivery and I was mistaken. She said "sorry," but refused to do anything to remedy the situation to our satisfaction (either finding us a car within the first week of July, providing us with a loaner car until we received delivery, or providing us with a discount to allow us to rent a car in the interim period). She even had the audacity to lie to me saying that in her welcome email informed us that Tesla operates on a quarterly delivery system. No such email exists. When I confronted her regarding her lying to us about being able to pick up the car she said "I would never do that," yet when I asked the question "then why would you ever suggest your proposed solution knowing it couldn't work?" She just said, "sorry," again. This was in spite of the fact she knew our personal circumstances from our very first encounter and that we would be heavily relying on picking up the car at the agreed upon time. When my wife called to ask to speak to a supervisor, she was told to "relax," by Russell and promised a call back from a supervisor. No such call back occurred. If you want to buy a luxury product and receive Wal-Mart level service, go to Tesla (actually, Wal-Mart is way better). I've never received such poor customer service - it's like dealing with a cable company. As I have been promised a call back from the location supervisor tomorrow, I will be sure to post an update, but for the time being things are looking pretty bleak. read more

Horrible experience! I came with whole idea of getting a nice new car. The 1st encounter they sold me the moon and the stars, I left delighted. After that it was all downhill. The guys that sold me the car, JD is really nice but once he collects your 1st $100 he'll wash his hands and never answer the phone again, steer clear of him. After that every time you call them they sound bothered by you, never mind that you're buying a $60k car from them, they couldn't be bothered to give you the most common decency. After finally getting over all the issues, I took delivery of my car... a complete and total lemon. The battery drains in 2 days, the auto pilot, which costs an extra 10k, makes drastic turns and brakes out of nowhere on the freeway. The sunroof had glue residue that I can't get fixed before waiting another 3 weeks, the passenger door has to be slammed shut, the glovebox does not open and the car vibrates. All in all I would recommend avoiding Tesla as a whole, but if you must get one, make sure you don't go to the Newport Beach location and definitely make sure JD is not your sales advisor. read more

Make an appointment online because the store is busy and there are tons of customers. Wow, they are not short on business at all. I came in at 1:45 for my appointment and had to wait for my sales person to come back from lunch. Then they might have overbooked the times, so they had to have someone else walk me to the car to test drive it. They told me I had 15-20min to take it out. I came back and waited for my turn. I didn't feel pressured since I knew I needed a new car. That is 1 of the reasons I picked Tesla because the price is the price! No negotiating which I love! Now I have to wait. :) Exciting. So you spent $150,000 on a model s plaid. Elon musk is on TV telling people they'll be delivering in February. They told me when I purchased it it'll be March. Now 5 months after I ordered the car they're telling me it's another 4-5 months. And no guarantees, it could be June, July, or maybe December. Came here one day after making an inquiry about the Model S60. Carrie Hughes, one of the Tesla reps then contacted me via email. We set up an appointment for a test drive. She explained to me that the 60 was no longer available and the 75 was going to soon be the base model. I got to test drive the P100D which was a rocket, but the software inside allowed me to switch from the P100D to the S75. Would give 0 star if I can. The worst experience I've ever had purchasing anything. They messed up the entire process in our home solar's loan, installation. They even gave us defective panels. The process dragged on for 6 months, and it's still dragging. We have to take multiple days off from work to compensate for their mistakes.
