They identified an issue - missing battery covers or something that should have been on the car after a previous total battery replacement ( under warranty) that had been done 2 months earlier. HORRIBLE! Avoid this service center at all cost. First of all, they don't give loaner cars unless the service is more than a day. As a result, be prepare to wait the for a day. My windshield cracked from the edge of the windshield to center, and it's usually covered by the warranty. Not with this Tesla service center. What a rip off. read more

I simply needed the tires filled for my dad's Tesla and was dreading to ask but it was easy and Amani was really fast. One Star - Tesla, This Is Embarrassing I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating and needs to be shared. I've been trying to order parts from this Tesla service center for WEEKS. On my first visit, I placed the order and was told the parts would arrive by Tuesday. I asked if I could pick them up over the weekend -- they said yes and clearly told me they're open Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM. So I show up that weekend... and they say they have NO record of my order. Even after I showed them the confirmation messages on my phone, they still said there was nothing. So I had to reorder the same parts and wait ANOTHER two weeks. Fast forward -- I get notified the parts are ready Friday. I work during the week, so I go in on Sunday at 3 PM. And what happens? A lady at the desk tells me they're closed on Sundays. Meanwhile, there's still a sign on the door saying they're open Sat-Sun 9-4. Seriously? I've driven about 50 miles total for NOTHING. Now I have to waste more time and gas to go back again next weekend because they can't get their act together. Tesla cars are not cheap. For the money we pay, this level of service is just flat-out unacceptable. I'm not here to threaten anyone, just sharing a very real and very disappointing experience. Tucker and Brad are a total waste of time to deal with. I have had my M3LR in several times while under warranty--including a battery replacement, Left camera fender replacement, LTE modem replacement, and a HV Battery Pack replaced. I have had several Loanders cars and just about each time THEY ARE NOT CLEANED-- DIRTY inside trash left over from prior customer. 2x times They have charged me $200 cleaning charge as they claim the car was smoked in. Recently they pulled that same very crap on me but this time I took photos of how dirty the car was, I files a small claims against this service center because they clearly gave me a dirty car and the photo they said shows ashes clearly is dirt not ashes, however the photos I took shows dog hair/cat hair on the back seats, stains on the seats car was given to me like that within 20 minutes of me picking the car up I took pictures as I knew this SOB will try to charge me again. Brad says oh the car only had 5K miles on it and it was in like new condition when you picked it up, when I showed him the photos showing date time and GPS data within 10 minutes of picking up the car all of sudden my emails went unanswered. He did reply when I said I was filing a small claims to recover the $200 he said he would place me on a no loanders list. Mean while they had my car 5 days and that car sat in the same very spot for those 5 days and only moved it to place it on the charge for 10 minutes because the battery was low and they moved it back. Tucket claim they was collecting data and needed more time but yet that car remained locked untouched and of course they couldn't find the BMS error issue what so ever ...WORST SERVICE CENTER EVER AND LIARS about performing work. I also had it in for service on another visit to have the LTE modem Removed and when I got the car back ... my Tesla app would open the door or unlock the vehicle luckly I had my swipe card with me and had to use that, turn signals didn't work, reverse audtio didn't work half my speakers didn't work. Returned the next morning to report this since I had return the loander after hours and picked up my car they Advisor said they have to make another appointment that was 35 days out even though the loaner still parked in the lot where I left it but he didn't care that non of the stuff was working including the front driver seat randomly folding back on its own while driving. I ended up figuring the issue out as it was a major safety issue and found that several cables on the Computer system was not connected took photos and emailed those to tucker to only have him say he will look into the issue with the techinician that worked on the car needless to say never got a response back as to what happen to double checking everything before handing it back to the customer, THEY RUSH everything. I brought my 3.5-year-old Model Y to the Sunnyvale Tesla Service Center for routine maintenance (air filters, wipers, tire rotation, brake caliper cleaning, camera check) and was genuinely impressed by how smooth the process was. I scheduled everything through the Tesla app--no phone calls--added the service items, and approved the estimate there. When I arrived, I queued up, was told I could leave the car in the lot, and then walked two blocks to pick up a 2025 Model Y loaner from Tesla sales. The loaner had Full Self-Driving enabled, so it literally drove me home and back the next day, with no intervention except parking at home. The app kept me updated on the service progress, showed me exactly where my car was parked for pickup, and I paid the invoice in the app as well. In theory, I didn't need to speak to anyone--the messaging, scheduling, and payment all worked through the app. The labor rate was $295/hour (Nov 2025), which is higher than I've ever paid for car maintenance. But given the convenience, the loaner, and the fully app-based experience, I still felt it was worth doing--though for simple routine work like tire repair, rotation, or wiper replacement, I might use a less expensive shop. read more

Another great experience here. I came in to 1) fix squeak and 2) rotate tires. Vin went on a test drive with me and identified the squeak coming from the window seals and recommended I buy a seal conditioner for that. Then Vin checked my tires and said they need replacement not rotation. They didn't charge me anything for this service. Honest people! read more

I had to have my model S towed to this service center to get its HV battery replaced. I went to pick up my car and it was covered with so much dust and leaves. I seriously felt like I was driving my car out of a junk yard. It's the closest service for me but I will think twice before taking my car to this location next time. read more

I would absolutely avoid the Sunnyvale service center. My experience there was absolutely terrible and even after requesting to speak to the manager got absolutely nowhere. I did have better experience in Santa Clara but I would tell you that avoid Sunnyvale at all costs. I came in to have my P85 plus inspected because there was no plus on the dash or shown on the main computer even though it had a plus on the rear badge. Apparently this is a fairly common issue for this particular model and it's super easy to verify that you have the suspension by just turning the wheel and looking for a one in the last digit of the sticker. I was able to verify this in about 30 seconds. Sunnyvale took over 3 hours and told me no that I did not have a plus that I only had plus seats which is an absolute lie. It even list plus in my stats under the vehicle. Sunnyvale service took several hours told me that it was not a plus, the manager told me he would look into it and never got back to me. I literally spent 3 hours in Sunnyvale and was told that my car was not a plus so not only was I lied to but I had to wait several hours. The person checking me in for service took well over 30 minutes just to get me checked into my appointment. I found the staff there both rude and incompetent. Santa Clara was able to verify that it was in fact a plus and was able to get the computer updated without too much issue. Thanks Tucker!! Sunnyvale not only lied to me by telling me that my car was not a plus but also wasted a bunch of my time and then told me that they would get back to me and never did. If this was my only service center nearby I would absolutely be selling this car immediately. read more

I've had a very disappointing experience with the Tesla Sunnyvale Service Center. I originally had a service appointment on 1/2/2026, but when I arrived, I was told there were no loaner vehicles available. The front desk rescheduled me to a later date and assured me that a loaner would be ready. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, I received another message saying that no loaner was available after all. This is the second time the center failed to follow through on a clear commitment. I reached out by email to the service team and regional managers and even left a message for the service manager, Brad, but no one responded. What makes this more frustrating is that the Tesla Santa Clara Service Center has never had issues providing a loaner for the same type of service. The inconsistency between locations is surprising, and the lack of communication from Sunnyvale is unacceptable. I hope Tesla improves the reliability and responsiveness of this service center, because this experience has been far below expectations. read more

Wow have things changed here in the last few years... It wasn't long ago that driving up to the Tesla service aisle meant Being ignored by people walking around with clipboards, scowls on their faces and an indifferent attitude. i'm not exaggerating... The worst customer experience you can imagine. Today, immediately greeted with smiles and "how was your day sir" and other such niceties. getting tires replaced and an alignment, it took longer than expected owing to unanticipated problems. Expecting to get the enterprise Rent-A-Car people, instead I got a gleaming new model three to drive. Made an appointment at this Tesla service center vs. my normal one because Sunnyvale had availability. I had brought my Tesla in because one of the front control arms was squeaking. Easy check-in with Phillip. Cruz the tech came over and quickly confirmed that the control arms were the issue and replaced them within a couple of hours for a reasonable cost. My wife's Model 3 keeps on defaulting to my profile instead of hers even though she is the primary driver. We called Tesla Sunnyvale Service and Dania was very nice about it. She told us to just drive by Tesla Sunnyvale and she can fix it for us o the spot. No appointments needed. When we got there. Dania was with another customer, and another service supervisor named Eddie immediately stepped up and helped us with the problem. Eddie was very patient with us, explained everything he was doing and asked us if we needed anything else before he went back to his desk. This was the second time for me to visit Tesla Sunnyvale Service center, the first time was about my Model X and both times, Dania, Eddie and Tucker were all very nice to me and very patient with my concerns. The service representative keeps providing inconsistent updates and estimates. They initially started with a sensor replacement for the AC but then added $255 "general diagnostic" hour right before my appointment. They likely end up still just replace the sensor only but now charging part, laborer plus "diagnostic" which literally push the cost up by 7x. read more
