We decided to stop here on our way from Vegas. The car suggested to stop here so we could make it home. It looked like a good spot with a gas station nearby and some food. It is a huge station with plenty of chargers available. Most of these are covered. When we plugged the charge, my brother decided to go to the gas station and get something to drink. There is like a hill to go up on the road and the gas station was right there. We passed the show on Netflix and I was waiting for him. When I noticed that he took a little bit longer than expected, I looked up. I saw him walking from the gas station down, but I did notice that he was walking at a brisk pace. I didn't think much about it. I thought he was just eager to come back to the show. Once he got to the car, he told me what happened. As he was coming out of the convenience of the gas station there was a "harmless homeless" who turned her attention to him the moment he walked out. He said he was walking normally, and he just heard the wheels of the cart behind him. He looked back as she started screaming as if she was possessed at him. When he noticed it was too late to turn around which happened to be what I saw him walking at a brisk pace. He thought that the homeless was gonna let go of the car going down the hill and hit him like a pin at a bowling alley. He was not too far from reality. Once he got in the car, she let go of her shopping cart. In the picture that is her collecting her stuff after the cart crashed, thankfully not at anybody. While in the car he noticed the guy that was behind him at the gas station decided to just climb down the hill instead of walking in front of the homeless. Great charging station just be careful with the homeless be aware of your surroundings. On the bright side, I got a show. read more

Big number of stalls here (100+) with kfc, taco bell, dutch bros on the other side of Main St. Also an ihop, circle k, and local restaurants on the same side as the charging. Walked to kfc to get early lunch and it was fairly clean inside with a good amount of seating. When exiting after charging, the navigation tells you to go up a one-way ramp (marked with a sign) so we ignored the navigation system and went around the back of the Circle K. read more

I was surprised by the quantity of charging stalls. I have honestly never seen so many. When my Tesla was routing me there and said 97 stalls were available, I thought that it was an error. About 10 stalls were out of order but it was a non issue with so many other available. There is a Circle K and fairly clean restrooms. There is also an IHOP and other fast food restaurants adjacent. There is also a really old theater showing some movies. The area isn't too great. There were some folks loitering about but didn't bother anyone in the area. I usually let my Tesla charge for an hour and walk around but there was not much to see or do around the area. Maybe a good place to charge at if you want to go grab some quick food. read more

I'm trying to road trip more in my Tesla and this location in Barstow is great. So many restaurants to walk to and there is a Circle K with a somewhat tolerable bathroom in close proximity. Over 100 chargers here. Well lit. Please come and create your own adventure. read more

If we're only talking about charging - this lot had plenty of fast charging stalls that are covered. 5/5. Restroom is nicer than a porta-potty. It has ventilation and running water, but I I can see it getting pretty dirty when it gets crowded during peak hours. Would definitely recommend the chargers at the Outlets at Barstow about 10 minutes south if restroom cleanliness is a concern. Food options easily walkable include a soul food restaurant, ihop, and a burger joint. Lot of fast food options in the surrounding area vicinit as well. read more

Route planning had me stop here to charge, because it is the best price for this time of day compared to nearby facilities. $.41/kWh (September 2025). There are additional amenities within walking distance, essentials for long road trips like restrooms at nearby businesses. Not really all that clean, as all the trash cans are full to overflowing. There are many chargers. But I need to warn everyone to be vigilant in Barstow. There are many suspicious characters. I was yelled and came at while I was walking to a gas station for restroom. The closest gas station restrooms were out of order. I felt scared for my safety. Just stay in your car while charging and drive to a place for bathroom break. DO NOT walk down the street. read more

One of the fastest charging spots from Las Vegas to CA! I always stop here and I'm happy there's always lots of spots to charge. Around the area there isn't much, the gas station is fine for something quick or a snack. If you're charging for a while across the street there's a few fast food restaurants. I feel one of the reasons to have a super charger in a prime location is to invite travelers but the circle K, twisters and Ramanda inn will only accept customers. They have every right and would rather stop at the Barstow stop near at the outlet. I was wondering why there were 110 stalls open. Yep, the chargers work fine but the idea of a rest stop. Nah. This is the new Tesla supercharging station in Barstow which opened a few months ago. It has 120 v4 superchargers that charges at 350kw and each supercharger has its own dedicated power so you don't have to worry about sharing power with other vehicles. There is also a charging area for vehicles with a trailer. Unfortunately, there are no restrooms on the premises but there is a Circle K and IHop within walking distance. There is also a Starbucks, Dutch Bros, Taco Bell, and a KFC across the street but there is no easy way to cross the street from the supercharging station. read more

Easy to find and fast charging! Lots of chargers and room to properly pull up for a non Tesla vehicle

Online said there's 120 stalls V4 250-350kw, we get here and it's nearly empty, which should mean faster charging. Plug in and it never gets to more than 110kw, but averaged 60-90, even though there's only 6-7 other cars. There's no 'rest stop' for all these chargers, businesses are not friendly to ppl that only need to use the bathroom with children (we just ate 30 minutes ago), and Ramada Inn won't let you use their bathroom either. Maybe they will get better but for now this place is just fronting. read more

On my most recent road trip back from Las Vegas, I stopped here to charge the car. Normally, I would stop in Yermo for a charge, but I wanted to check out this new location. It was just off of the 15 freeway at the Main St exit. There were 120 superchargers with up to 325 kW max. It was pretty empty at about 9 am on a Sunday. It was nice to see that they had trash and recycling receptacles placed at the ends of each row of chargers to lessen the amount of trash being thrown on the ground. After I plugged the car in for a charge, I walked over to the nearby Circle K to use their restroom. read more

The Barstow supercharger location at 1503 East Main Street looks like a small city with 120 charging stalls promising a maximum of 325 kW. Our charge was approximately 200 kW when we initially plugged in. Quite a boost for our thirsty Y. The down side of this supercharger subdivision is the lack of easy bathroom access. The adjacent businesses were not as welcoming as one might expect with the captive supercharging individuals in the area. Seems they could lure business into their establishments by offering bathroom access. Sort of shortsighted. There is also no dedicated Tesla building with bathrooms like we have experienced at one of the other larger supercharger locations in Kettleman City. Overall a 5 star rating for the fast charging but it would have been nice if the businesses in the area were a little more friendly. read more

We used this Tesla Suoercharger on Sunday, 1/11/26 at around 11:30am for a short charging session on our way home from Vegas. I needed to open my Tesla app as the Suoercharger did not "recognize" our 2022 model Y. Once I opened the app near the charger, I was able to plug in. After the short charge, we went to Circle K and used their restrooms. While there are numeric keypads on the restroom doors, the codes were printed on a label on the door. The restrooms were ok but it should be noted that California rest stops seem to be out of order, on this trip as well as our trip last month to the San Francisco area, so other available facilities are being heavily used. read more

Drove there last night to charge and found no label #on the charger. No way to charge non-tesla EV using the Tesla app. Too bad!
