I have a weird work schedule so I like to come here some weekday mornings, walk my dogs and charge. I did come one afternoon about 4p and there was a weird crowd. Not thugs or anything but just a bunch of random types, let's just say I kept my eye on them and my doors locked. I'm not sure if that was just that day but I never see them in the morning. There was also one afternoon I came when some woman was in a stall with what looked like all her worldly possessions scattered all over the place. It was a hot mess. Only in the afternoons I guess. There is a movie theater just steps away, it's in the large Victoria gardens parking lot, an outdoor mall with lots of shops and food, all within walking distance and there's a private security patrol that comes through every so often. Overall though these chargers are in a great spot just two minutes off the freeway! The rates are mostly good, especially off peak. It's almost always clean and well kept.

The short was severe enough to melt the plastic insulator on the charging bar. David rebuilt the entire service; new insulation, circuit breakers, cleaned the box, cut and reattached all wiring! My favorite is coming on a Saturday or Sunday morning before the crowds start and enjoying a coffee and walking around. However, one concern that has become more noticeable over the past year is the lack of enforcement on the main streets. There are frequently vehicles speeding through busy areas where families and children are walking, and many drivers seem more focused on showing off how loud their cars are than driving safely. It's not uncommon to hear multiple cars revving their engines within just a few minutes. This creates a very unsafe environment and takes away from what should be a welcoming community space. Increasing police presence, even for short periods of time, would make a noticeable difference and help deter this behavior. I truly believe Victoria Gardens is a great place, but addressing this issue would go a long way in keeping it safe and enjoyable for everyone.
