Took them my entire Saturday to diagnose this, only to never find the leak. They then topped-off my coolant without telling me and charged me $550 without letting me know of any pricetags beforehand for labor and the coolant that I didn't ask for, and tried to check me out without using my coupon discounts (I had to mention it again during checkout). After all this the guy said I should come in every time the AC is not cold again and they can continue to look for the leak but they'll charge every time I come in. Apparently some people have had this issue before and ended up spending hundreds for several visits over a several month period just to fix an AC leak.

They got my car serviced in less time than I was quoted and got a discount as well. Back to the present...I had my tail lights & brake light staying on, even when the car was not on this past weekend. On advise from a friend, I disconnected the battery to conserve it (since the lights on would drain the battery). I drove to Service Street at my appointed time and told the guy behind the counter (Kai) what my issue was. He said that it would take a few minutes and asked me to wait at their well-kept waiting area. Half an hour later, I was informed that my vehicle was ready. It was a simple part that had worn out over time. I settled my bill with a piece of mind that now I can drive my car without being pulled over (it's illegal to drive your car with your tail lights on). What I find amazing is that I reached out to my nearest Hyundai dealer, they wanted to run a diagnostic on my vehicle and these guys found the issue without having to do so. And, in closing, I tip my hat to Kai, the general manager Rodrick and the staff at Service Street (Hempstead) for taking good care of me once more.

Oh man, I thought I'd live in Buc-ee's when I bought my home in Cypress many years ago. I just…read moredidn't realize this location wouldn't give me even 25% of the feels of the large stores. I mean...even the brisket sammiches taste different here. This is one of their smaller locations, so it feels a bit different from the bigger stores most people are used to. Basically, this is a gas station with a lil something something extra. The brisket sandwich wasn't as good as the big stores. It just didn't have the same flavor or quality I've come to expect. They've changed the ordering process over the years. Idk exactly when since Ive been mostly living in FL for work but before you'd order at a kiosk and get a ticket, but now there's at least a register at the counter, which makes things a bit more straightforward. Outside of the food, it still functions mostly like a typical gas station stop. Gas prices are generally better here, and the fountain drinks and ICEEs are still cheap. On my last visit a couple weeks ago, they didn't have the cinnamon rolls with nuts and staff mentioned they weren't sure when certain bakery items would be back. That was a bit disappointing since those are usually part of the appeal. Overall, it's still a convenient stop, but just know this location doesn't hit the same as the larger Buc-ee's stores. Manage your expectations but it stays crowded and you can still get some of the most popular Buc-ee's items.

I intentionally waited to post this review because I wanted to give the dealership a second chance. After my most recent visit, however, I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. 1. I was specifically told this dealership was "mod and tuner friendly." Before purchasing my vehicle, I spoke with the finance manager and specifically discussed modifications. I was told, prior to signing, that the dealership was "mod and tuner friendly." That was important to me because I have always modified my vehicles, and hearing that eased a major concern I had about purchasing here. Based on my experience with the service department, I DO NOT consider this dealership friendly toward modified vehicles whatsoever. That became very clear during my latest visit. 2. My driver-side front window shattered within the first 1,000 miles. I was told they had never heard of this happening and that glass was not covered under warranty. From what I could see, the entire sheet of glass had fallen essentially straight down. I questioned whether there had actually been any outside impact, but instead I was presented with an approximately $1,500 bill and a phone number for Customer Relations to see if they would cover it. After spending two days jumping through hoops, Customer Relations ultimately covered it. Then, when I received my vehicle back, I was essentially told they had "tried" to remove all the broken glass, but there was probably still some left and I might hear it over bumps. There absolutely was glass left. I spent about an hour of my own time properly cleaning out the remaining glass, including glass that had simply been left on the floor of the vehicle. For a repair that was necessary on an almost-new vehicle, that level of cleanup and attention to detail was extremely disappointing. 3. Low-oil warning at approximately 3,000 miles. At around 3,000 miles, my low-oil warning came on. Considering I had purchased the vehicle for roughly $35,000 only about two months earlier, I was understandably concerned. I scheduled an appointment and specifically planned to wait at the dealership while a technician inspected it. Before the vehicle was even pulled into the shop, I was told the technician wanted one hour of diagnostic time because the vehicle was "modified and tuned." The vehicle has a COBB Accessport married/flashed to the ECU so that I can monitor parameters while driving. There was no performance tune loaded by me and nothing added that I believed would reasonably explain excessive oil consumption. Yet I was told the "tune" could potentially be causing the oil consumption. Rather than paying an hour of diagnostic labor based on that explanation, I requested an oil change and decided I would monitor the oil level myself. I also specifically asked if the drained oil could be captured and measured so we could determine how much oil was actually in the engine. That was not done. There was also no MPI video provided. The MPI listed my rear brakes at 7 mm on a vehicle with only approximately 3,000 miles, which raised additional questions for me about how thoroughly the inspection was actually performed. And after all of that, a scheduled oil change took approximately two hours. What disappoints me most is that I purchased this vehicle partly because I was reassured BEFORE THE SALE that this dealership was friendly toward enthusiasts with modified vehicles. My experience after the sale has felt completely different. If the dealership does not want to work on modified vehicles, that is their choice. But then customers should be told that clearly before they purchase the vehicle, rather than being reassured that the dealership is "mod and tuner friendly" only to have modifications immediately brought up when a warranty or mechanical concern arises. Between the broken-window experience, having to finish cleaning glass out of my own vehicle, the handling of my low-oil concern, the requested diagnostic time before the vehicle was even brought into the shop, and the overall lack of attention to detail, I've lost confidence in this service department. I gave the dealership a second chance before writing this review because I didn't want to judge them based on one bad experience. Unfortunately, the second experience only reinforced the first. I will not be returning, and I'll also be sharing my experience with the Houston VB community so other owners--especially those with modified vehicles--can make an informed decision about where they take their cars for service.
