I tried to talk to the manager who hid from my calls for 30 minutes and when I finally did get in touch he said it was my fault since "I parked too far forward to allow somebody to park behind me." The artwork that I remember from the BCAM is now here, along with other pieces from the vast Broad collection. You can book free tickets online ahead of time, though there is an additional charge for special exhibits, like the current Yoko Ono one. There are free Thursdays which give you entry to the special exhibits gratis, but you must book those tickets ahead of time. The staff are very friendly and handle the lines professionally. The architecture of the building is very interesting, with a dramatic escalator entry to the second floor to see the collection. You can see artwork from Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Ed Ruscha, Kara Walker and so much more. We rode the Metro here and were able to avoid the expensive parking. Bonus!

Of course the main focal point, the water fountain and little park. There's plenty of parking in the massive covered parking structure. It's a pretty decent size shopping area which is all outdoor. The main department store which is Nordstrom and then you'll have all the other smaller chains stores. Plenty of dining options, more on the dine in style. If you're looking for something quick and easy, there's the farmers market a couple minutes walk. Of course there's the movie theatre which is great. The whole grove concept is similar to the Americana which is larger. Dining options, shops and of course the fountain. It's a staple in LA that's worth checking out.

Customers who come to support the businesses at The Grove should not be penalized with outrageous parking charges over a few minutes. Situations like this discourage people from shopping and dining there. There should be a grace period or a reduced fee for customers who slightly exceed the validation time, especially when they are actively spending money on the property. With multi floored buildings creating rows of foot traffic on the ground this space is perfect for events, pop ups, and get togethers. It's one of the reasons why Smorgasburg is held here on Sundays. It's why on any given weekend there may be an event being held, whether it be to celebrate AAPI month or the different creatives in the area. This space is filled with homegrown businesses and unique shops to visit. One of my favorite places is Hightide which is a Japanese stationary and supplies shop. The vibes are immaculate and walking in really feels like being in a store in Japan. Another popular space is Scent Bar for those who love perfume and are aromaphiles. With plenty of small curated artists being featured in this apothecary of aromas, Scent Bar is a nice stop whilst visiting the Row. If you're looking for interesting and discussion worthy furniture A+R is a must, located at one of the ends of the Row. For good coffee with artistic vibes you got to check out GGET (Go Get Em Tiger). Next to that if you're looking for stronger waters is Flask & Field with smaller batch and independent distilleries and crafters. All of this and the parking is free for the first 2 hours. In LA, that's unheard of! And it's a large parking structure with modern infrastructure. Blessed.
