Shopped around a bit and ended up picking Teterboro. Christoper D. was a big help from the start. He showed me around the lot in the pouring rain. It took me a while to decide, and I was happy that I wasn't pestered by constant calls or emails asking if I was ready to buy. Other dealers did that and it was a turn off. I wasn't sold on the JK so we went with the JL. He was a big help with everything I wanted in my order. Going in I knew they were in demand a a bit of a wait (because shipping. No fault of dealer). Anyways, got what I wanted with a fair wait and a great experience. Chris explained everything along the way. Got a price that satisfied me and some freebies which are always welcome. Hope to deal with them again...but not too soon! If interested in buying, call ahead and try to schedule something with Chris. I brought my 2011 Grand Cherokee in for service due to a check engine light and rough idle after letting another mechanic work on it...cough, cough, PEP BOYS, cough, don't do it. I was advised by the service department that repairs could possibly run into $$$. Car was almost 8 years old and it just wasn't worth investing anymore money. Needless to say, I had to car shop...bummer. On my way to the showroom I ran into a guy that vastly improved my day. Enter salesman Dre Mikell. I can't say enough good things about him. No pressure upselling and he worked out a great deal for the trade in of my 2011. This young man turned what could have been one of the worst days I've had into a success. I can't complain about any aspect of my experience at Teterboro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. If you're in the market for a new or used car, go there and seek out Dre. POOR SERVICE/POOR ATTITUDES: How disappointing! I spent $34,000 on a used car from Teterboro Jeep. The car did have a small issue which we were assured would be repaired. Thank GOD we had this written into the sales contract otherwise I'm sure I'd be adding it to the laundry list of empty promises from the staff at Teterboro Jeep. This relatively minor issue became a "Groundhog's Day" style nightmare. The car was brought in no less than 5 TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE BEFORE IT WAS FINALLY REPAIRED CORRECTLY. I went to the General manager (Tim) on the day of the 5th repair attempt, to let him know that if the car wasn't fixed this time that I would be contacting the BBB as well as my attorney in an effort to have the car returned under Lemon Law. Tim could not care less and was quite dismissive of the entire situation. I would normally be shocked, however, after 4 previous failed attempts to get the car fixed, I figured it par for the course. The car was finally fixed after the 5th try (and threat of legal action). - Related Side story... At the same time as my 3rd Jeep repair attempt, my other car (Honda Fit) also encountered a problem. This car, however was taken to a REAL car dealer... Tenafly Honda. The service I received at Tenafly Honda was NIGHT AND DAY compared to Teterboro Jeep. The damaged part (entire electrical wiring harness was eaten by squirrels) was on hand at the shop and was replaced in 1 DAY! A courtesy shuttle was sent (happily) to pick me up since I had both cars already in the shop and had no other way to get the repaired Honda back. Every question was addressed courteously (Yes sir, no sir, etc) and the entire Tenafly Honda staff -from the desk receptionist to the young lady that handled my claim, to the mechanic himself - showed genuine concern toward my issues. Multiple text messages were sent to my cel phone to update me on the progress. And the staff was all around DELIGHTFUL!! Sharpen your pencils and take notes Teterboro Jeep. You guys could learn a LOT from them!... By the way, when the Jeep was dropped off for repair (attempt #3) at the time of my Honda being in the shop, I asked the Jeep salesman if he could spare a loaner car since I had no other way of getting around, and he agreed to deliver one to my house later that afternoon! Unfortunately, the loaner car never showed, and I didn't even receive a phone call as to why. CHOOSE YOUR CAR DEALER WISELY! Teterboro Jeep DID, however, have one saving grace... a courtesy fridge with my favorite brand juice boxes in it... hence the generous 2 star review. read more

Their client service attendant on their service department some are very rude. I leased or buy my car from them for years and never had an issue with their service department. For the last couple of years they keep raising the price for oil changes, or even check the engine light. They are charging a fortune just to get the car looked up!!! . Then, they told me my car needs rear new breaks, but I hardly drive my car and it's under warranty. However, the breaks would cost $500?..I will not do business with them any longer!!!! . OUTSTANDING experience with this dealership, specifically with their salesman, Rafael Arismendi. Please read in full below to understand just how above and beyond he went to fix a NIGHTMARE we experienced with a different dealership 2 days ago while looking to lease a new Jeep for my fiance. Long story short... We made a deal at that dealership, put a $2k deposit down, came back the next day (yesterday) to pick it up only to be told the deal we were promised couldn't be honored. No apology, not even a phone call in advance to give us a heads up of their "error", and the treatment received in person was horrific. They refused to honor the monthly payment we were given unless we gave them an additional $1000. Well, while we got our money back, 3+ hours of our time was wasted. I immediately called 2 other dealerships in the area and explained what we went through as well as the previous deal we were given. Rafael Arismendi at Teterboro worked everything out for me over the phone before wasting our time even setting foot back in another dealership. After all was said and done, today we walked out with a brand new 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X with a price that no other dealerships in the area could compete with. One further, their finance guy, Jamie, provided us with an impeccable no-stress, non-pushy experience while finalizing all the paperwork. Plus, he was hilarious too! I've personally owned/leased 6 new vehicles in the course of 12 years so I'm well versed in how this process all goes. This was my fiance's first new car so I helped guide the process a bit for him since we all know how car salesmen and dealerships can be. I can't stress enough how amazing Rafael and the entire staff at Teterboro were and would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I guess it is hit or miss with car dealerships, as my nephew recommended Teterboro Chrysler (when I finally made up my mind I wanted a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk) as he and his wife got their Wrangler and Grand Cherokee there. I actually made an appointment to meet with one of the four Raphael's at this location, and when we arrived, we were told he was out-to-lunch (literally). We waited, as we had spoken to him a week earlier, and I was ready to buy! He showed me a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, one with nearly 7,000 miles on it, that had very obviously been involved in a front-end collision! Raphael warned, "You better move fast on this one, it will be gone in no time." I did move fast, right out the door. Customer service in sales was my worst I experienced the salesman was gone for 45 mins with my keys when he came back he wanted to argue with me regarding my vehicle when I left my navigation wasn't working when I tried calling and explain what happened the same salesman was arguing with me again that I was accusing them on breaking my old vehicle he pushed me to a point where I wanted to speak with the manager and he just kept on talking. I told him that I'm done with him and demanded the manager. He kept on talking to a point where I said will you let me F talk he replied yea you can F talk and demanded again the manager that he claimed now that he is unavailable. I have an upcoming lease expiring. I worked several cars into the current deal and am over my mileage. So, called the dealer about the purchasing option at the lease end. I already received a buyout quote from Chrysler. The salesman at Teterboro tried to add sales tax onto the purchase price that was already in the buyout quote. This is $1,269 dollars before any financing options. When I stated that the buyout included sales tax. He informed me that is through Chrysler Capital and the dealer sets new rates for the car. This is my second lease through Teterboro and my brother has leased at least 3 or 4 times through Teterboro. You figure repeat customers would be treated a little better than that. read more

I came here a few times because they advertised a used truck that I liked. Upon seeing the truck in person, I wasn't too impressed. What pissed me off was the fact that they were so willing to make a deal with me, that what they wanted to give me for my truck was pitiful. Needless to say, the deal never happened. On a separate occasion, I came here with my uncle to get him a great deal on a lease, like they advertised. They claim the ad is for a base model SUV. I believe the truck they were offering was below a base model (if that even makes sense). The truck had no sunroof, no fog lights 4x2, no roof rack, and V6. My uncle ended up paying more than he should to get some of those options. A deal ended up being made, but in the end I wasn't happy for him. read more

Service is excellent in fixing cars right the first time. I'm not too impressed with Sales, but the important part of a dealership is really Service. There are variations between the service advisors, pick one and stick with them and that does help. I have found them to be very honest, and they try their best to help when possible, e.g. getting extended warranty coverage as needed. I've brought in cars where they could have said all sorts of bad things were wrong and played the "replace-a-part" game, but they did their diagnostics and said "It's just a sensor/minor leak/etc, we can fix that for $100."  The physical plant has seen better days, the waiting room is often crowded, and the general vibe is "hey, did you know it's still the 1980s?," but they fix the car right the first time, they are honest, and they care. For that, I can deal with the lack of loaner cars, the nasty waiting conditions, the lack of little luxuries that every other dealer seems to have, and the stereotypical sales floor. read more

Worst customer service ever. I have a new 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie with 1700 miles on it. I noticed a small plastic piece of the dashboard went missing so I took it to the closest dealer around as I just moved to NJ. I unfortunately chose teterboro. From the moment I walked into the service department they wanted nothing to do with me. I told them the issue and they said best they can do was 2 weeks from now to even look at my truck. I asked if they have the part and I would do it myself. Was told it doesn't work that way. After 10 minutes of trying to convince this miserable prick to just look at my truck so they can give me a replacement piece he still refused to budge. I laughed and walked out the door. NEVER AGIAN. The amount of time the service rep took to argue with me they could have fixed the problem and we could have all been on our merry way. I went to DeCozen dodge in Verona immediately after. I was greeted warmly and helped speedily. The service rep walked outside took a look at the piece missing and spoke with the parts dept. They didn't have the part in stock but they put the order in and said it would be there next day. WAS THAT SO HARD?!!? NO. Teterboro dodge has no business being in customer service. read more

After shopping around at many dealerships, we found the perfect certified pre-owned, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. We drove from the city to make it before they closed and had only about 10 minutes before closing. Most salesmen would have known there was no way they would make a sale that night and not taken the time with us. That was not the case with Chris. He showed us numerous vehicles; we even got caught in the rain looking at cars and he still told us to take our time. Needless to say we came back again and definitely made a purchase. With Chris, making our car decision was pressure free. We also had the opportunity of having Jamie take care of our financing. Outstanding experience at Teterboro CJDR. I got an initial call from Doreen after placing a request for pricing through TrueCar.com. She was extremely friendly and put me in touch with John in sales. I told John exactly what car I wanted, and that I was interested in a low mileage lease with $0 down. All I wanted from him was his best deal on monthly payments. Within maybe an hour at the most, John got back to me with a fair price. I gave a credit card over the phone for first month's payment and DMV fee. The next day my wife and I picked up the car. In and out within an hour. Hands down the easiest new car purchase experience I've ever had. I also want to say how appreciative I was that I got a fair price out the gate. SHADY!!!! SCHEISTERS!!!! Worst and I mean WORST experience purchasing a car through these people. Stay away from Carlos! 1. The day I went to sign for the car, like in the process of signing the loan papers, I was informed that the car had more miles on it than we were told when we initially looked at the vehicle. They claim there was no way that could have happened, I guess somehow my husband and I both read the tags on the car wrong. 2. To "make things right" Carlos spoke with a manager who approved for him to offer us floor mats and a trunk cover for the "inconvenience" and because her didn't want us to think he was "shady" his words not mine. I said that was a no and then the man in the loan department tried to act like he was stepping in to do something more. He managed to get a whole $250 off the price of the almost $30k car on top of the mats and trunk cover. I was so mad and frustrated at that point and was completely in love with the car and just wanted to get out of that place that I just said okay and signed the papers. 3. After I signed the papers Carlos then informed us that because we took the $250 discount, that he could NO longer give us the mats or trunk cover. GOODBYE! 4. 5 days later I was registering my car at my parking garage only to find out they never gave me my temporary registration. When I called, I was told that it was attached to the sales receipt. NO. I called again, only to be told they had the temporary registration at the dealership and that it was a "mistake" and I then had to go there to pick it up. 5. A few weeks later I notice that I'm still using temp plates. I call the dealership to inquire only to find out that they have been there. I did not receive a call or email telling me to pick them up. At this point I'm livid and I go to pick them up where I have the lovely pleasure of meeting their rep Colleen. Colleen places the blame having to do with the plates on ME. This extremely extremely rude woman told me I should have noticed earlier and claimed she called me. LIE. Colleen and I went back and forth raising our voices as I did not agree with what she was saying and she refused to take any responsibility or apologize for the inconvenience. Colleen then proceeds to stand from her desk and yell so loudly at me I could see the veins in her head protruding. That's not even me trying to be funny. A simple sorry for the inconvenience would have done. I have not one good thing to say about this dealership. They offer nothing but lies, deceit, and the most atrocious customer service I have ever experienced. I regret ever walking in there. Oh and they don't inspect the cars! If I could give them zero stars, I would. Took my son there to lease his first car. Joe helped us (or whatever his name was...the salesman with the bad teeth and corny jokes). He told us that my son could not get a lease because he never had a car loan before. He also told us that you can't lease pre-owned vehicles anymore. That there was a lot of fraud involved and they stopped it. So anyway my son was not particular on the car because he was not in a position to spend a lot. Joe told him that $1000 down and $200 per month was unrealistic (although my son already had another dealership offer him this deal). Joe said they offered it to my son before taxes and fees. Then Joe decided to try and "work backwards" to get him to a $200 payment. This amounted to a 2006 model of the least expensive car on their lot. We left. Fast forward to the next day.....Paramus Chevy gave my son $1000 down $200 month lease on a brand new car. No co-signer. And based on his own credit and credit history. Screw you Teterboro. Went there ready, willing & able (we have an excellent credit score & a substantial amount to put down plus a trade in) to purchase a new Jeep Cherokee that was advertised on their website for a certain amount. When we got there they said that the price advertised reflected certain discounts and unfortunately we didn't qualify for them. I pointed out that NO WHERE on the ad did it say that the price was reflective of qualifying for discounts. We even heard the manager say, when our salesman went back to him with our counter offer, "what more do they want?" As if he was doing us a favor. Well I would have wanted you to honor the advertised price. We walked out without buying. The next day, we went to Smith Haven Chrysler Jeep and bought a new 2019 Jeep Cherokee. So I purchased a brand new grand Cherokee from this dealer, I shopped around and decided to get the jeep because they had that %0 financing if your credit qualify, I qualified so I purchased fully loaded altitude version for 50k. I was told that the car will be covered the first year from pumper to pumper, I only had been to this dealer once and it was for a routine oil change, until last week when all of my headlight turned off, I went to service and they ran some checks and flashes and then told me that there's nothing wrong with the car, then after another hour of waiting the service manager called me and said that my bulbs were blown up inside the headlights, he kept on saying that this is not covered by the warranty and they need to charge $130 to replace them, I told him that I shouldn't be paying for it since it's under the warranty and it's something that I didn't cause. They didn't care, the service manager DAVE, the other service rep, Mike and one more guy I forgot his name, they said if you can't pay we will put everything together and that's it just the way you brought it in. Really how can I drive without headlights? They responded will you have to pay for service, I spoked with the manager DOUG and he seemed like he didn't care either, so I ended up paying. they made their sale they sold me the car and everyone made their bonus and that's it. Everyone saw how angry, unsatisfied and unhappy I was they didn't do anything about it, they let me go, by the way they didn't even do the job the right way, my DRL ain't working anymore after they messed with it. Very unsatisfied customer, I advice people not to use this dealership because they just care about getting a car out of their lot and sell it to you, I put 3000 miles on this car in 8 months and I already started having problems. Horrific car service experience. Took 34 hours to get an estimate for two repairs ( after 3 text msg, and 6 phone calls). Took 61 hours to have my car repaired for 2 repairs that other repair shops confirmed wouldn't take more than 3 hours to fix. Customer service rep doesn't respond unless you tell the secretary you want to talk to general manager. Pricing was 2 times more than other shops would charge, but i knew that beforehand. So unprofessional that the only means of communication to send the estimate was fax. And it was handwritten with no statement as to what exactly is wrong or what exactly to be fixed. Glad to have my car back, that's the only reason for 1 star read more
