I don't know if I'm giving this place 5 stars because I was so sick of eating Yellowstone/Glacier national park veggie burgers, or if the food was actually good, but I'm standing by my experience! We came in hungry, looking like shit (after a whole day's hiking), with no reservation and the staff still let the 6 of us in! I'll definitely be thankful for that. The food and drinks were surprisingly good as someone who's grown up eating Indian food my whole life. The entire party, both vegetarians and hardcore carnivores, really enjoyed the experience and were very satisfied. The restaurant is beautiful from the inside as well. Jackson hole continues to provide some of the worst service and food I've experienced anywhere in the world. Food was forgettable, not bad but not great. The Indian food here is presented well, but it lacked flavor. Lots of creative dishes to choose from so that was a plus. LOVE this place! First of all, it has a sexy/cozy/relaxed vibe that I love. Think low lights/candlelight, great hip music, young people having fun. Excellent service from the hostess to wait staff. The food was not phenomenal, but I would still come back. Let me explain. I had the potato tikka masala and it tasted nothing like any tikka masala I have ever had. I'm finding that the food in Jackson is just mediocre; we've been to 7 restaurants so far and none had food that I would give more than 3 stars. This was after I researched and chose the "best" restaurants in Jackson. Back to the tikka masala. Even though it didn't taste like tikka masala, the potatoes were cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfect amount of salt/spice. The sauce was still good and I ate almost all of it. I would come back again and hope that I could find a better entree. I would 100% recommend the Teton Tiger for its great vibe and service. The cocktails are supposed to be amazing too! First night of our long weekend in Jackson, and we chose the Teton Tiger for dinner tonight. All I can say is that it was awesome. The atmosphere of the place is really fun. The vibe is that of English influenced India, with an extensive library, cricket gear, and various pieces of artwork on the wall. There are booths which give a sense of intimacy for dinner, and there is soft music playing in the background. It's just a warm and cozy atmosphere. The service was really good too. For dinner, my wife ordered the Tikka Masala, and I ordered the Red Curry Duck, and I got it fried (rather than roasted). We ordered both of our meals #2 on the spicy scale (which ranges from zero to 3, where 3 is extremely spicy). The Tikka Masala was really good. The level of spice was perfect for us. Tingly on the tongue, but it didn't burn our faces off. It had a sweet taste, which was interesting, and different from traditional Indian restaurants. The Red Curry Duck was extremely good. The meat was cooked perfectly, as it was tender and flavorful. The crispy coating was delicious, and the red curry sauce and veggies made a great combination. To be honest, the star of the dinner was the appetizer. We got an order of Chinese Dumplings, and they were amazing. There was shrimp in the dumplings, and the sauce was over the top delicious. Loved it! As an added bonus, we were there fairly early on a Thursday, and it was Happy Hour. Our glasses of wine were half price, and we got a "two for the price of one" for our meals. How is this bad? Thank you TT!!! So I would definitely recommend the Teton Tiger to anyone who is looking for an Indian/Asian fusion sort of dinner, or just something a little different. Teton Tiger is one of the best Asian spots I've been to in quite some time. We ordered the Dr. Tigre cocktails to start (tequila-mezcal blend, ginger and tamarind syrup, lime, absinthe rinse), the tiger dumplings as an appetizer (chicken, cabbage, ginger, garlic, sweet soy, cilantro, fried garlic, & ponzu), the shanghai noodles with beef (udon noodles, house stir fry sauce, ginger, garlic, Napa cabbage, & green onion), and green curry (coconut milk, green curry, basil, zucchini, bell peppers, bamboo shoots- served with jasmine rice and flaky flat bread) which were all amazing. The green curry was a bit too spicy but very flavorful regardless. All in all, Teton Tiger is a delicious spot to come eat and drink at for any occasion. read more

The worst food I have ever experienced! First, the portions were super small!! Way too small! I got a ramen dish, which costed me $24 and they put in 16 oz container. The taste was terrible. I used to love this place. But they recently changed their menu and increased prices on everything by about $5 per item. There now is not a single entrée under $22. And they keep removing Indian food staples from their menu (like Samosas?!). They also force a 20% gratuity/service charge, which is just weird. This used to be Jackson's only Indian restaurant. Now it's just really expensive Thai food with a limited menu and extremely small portions. And if Thai is what you're after, there are far better options within walking distance. read more

Great food paired with marginal operations. The food here was absolutely the best we had on our whole trip. We had the lettuce wraps, egg rolls, green curry with chicken, and General Tso chicken. The standouts were the egg rolls and GT chicken, but everything was good. The service was spotty - it seemed like the person first taking care of us handed us off to someone else. We got the lettuce wraps quickly, then nothing for a very long time. Someone finally came up and asked if we were waiting on something (we were - our egg rolls). Those seemed to be forgotten, and came out about 5 minutes later. Many things were coming out of the kitchen with the deliverer approaching each table, asking if it's what they had ordered. There seemed to be a lot of confusion in the back. When it was time for the bill, the chaos ensued. We were first given a bill that only included the first two drinks we had ordered. I flagged down a server and let him know that we had been given a bill for only a small part of our meal. He disappeared and we sat for another ten minutes. Trying to flag someone down was next to impossible. I got up and went to the host desk and finally got someone to see what was going on. After another ~5 minutes, we got our actual bill. No "sorry" and no explanation beyond "two servers thought the other had closed it out." So - yes, the food is absolutely great. The service and operations definitely need some work. read more

I'm catching up on Yelp reviews and this one is long overdue, but better late than never! My Jackson foodie adventure led me to Teton Tiger for happy hour on a Friday and I arrived around 5:35pm. The atmosphere is loud, dimly lit, and had a cool English/Indian pub vibe. Word of advice, do not sit at the seat on the far left side of the bar during winter as it gets very cold so they must take the trash outside or something. It was a packed bar by 6pm on a Friday night for happy hour as there were people standing behind me towards the end. I ordered the Mama's Midnight Ramen, which was decent. The broth was good and had a little kick, but none of the flavors really stood out. I've had better ramen in Chicago that is cheaper than $20. I get that this is Jackson, but the cost of living in Chicago isn't too far behind. Service was meh as the bartender never came back around to me. I guess it was busy, but I would have ordered another drink before I went to the Moose hockey game. Overall, Teton Tiger is a cool Asian fusion place with decent food. We were delighted to see a place offering Indian cuisine while on our trip to Jackson. For pick up, you are required to order online. Their prices seemed high ($22 for butter chicken!!) but we thought that's perhaps expected at a place like Jackson. We ordered Seoul Street Ribs, Chicken Butter Curry and Garlic bread basket. The quantity of Butter Curry was shocking and so was its taste. Chicken cubes had food colour added to them and the curry was just very strange. Naans were okay and the rice that came with the curry was sticky rice and not basmati that typically goes with Indian currys. Ribs was the only dish that was of any grace. Since the food was overall very disappointing, the 20% gratuity on take out order certainly pinched. Bottom line - if you regularly have Indian cuisine from better places then do not try Indian food here. read more

Teton Tiger is a fun English/Indian/Asian fusion place in Jackson Hole. My friend and I were visiting and our local host took us here on a Thursday evening. It was pretty busy when we stopped in around 7pm but got a booth right away. The decor has a British influence (check out the cricket paddles). I looked at the menu online and thought for sure I wanted to order the ramen, but seriously everything on the menu sounds amazing. We started with drinks--I got the Bombay Buck with vodka (you can also order it with gin or tequila): coconut milk, ginger syrup, fresh squeezed lime & pineapple. It was slightly sweet and fruity, with a tropical vibe. I loved it! Definitely would get that again. To share, we ordered the samosas and Chinese dumplings. Be sure to ask how many come in an order for each share plate because I think the samosas only come two per order, so we had to get two orders. The samosas were fried perfectly and served with mint and tamarind chutneys. They were good, but pretty much the same as other samosas I've had, nothing mind-blowing. The dumplings were raved about on Yelp and they were tasty but really delicately flavored. I was hoping to get a lot more flavor with the filling. They were steamed just right, though, and I loved the big chunks of shrimp just hanging out in the bowl with the dumplings. I asked our server for a recommendation between the Shanghai street noodles and the ramen and she was swaying me more towards the noodles. I ordered them with one crown spice (the range is zero to three crowns, with three being extra hot). My friends got the butter chicken and the drunken noodles. I loved the consistency of the udon noodles in my dish but the sauce was a little overly sweet for my taste. The amount of beef in the dish was really great, though--lots of big chunks that weren't too tough. The dish had zero spice, so I was wondering if they got the level wrong. I had a few bites of my friend's butter chicken and it was probably the best butter chicken I've ever had. The complexity of the flavors in that dish were amazing--so rich and tomatoey but also spiced really well with some interesting flavors I couldn't place. The spice level on that was more noticeable (also a one) without being over the top. I would definitely get that next time and skip the udon. Overall, I enjoyed the vibe of this place and most of the food I tried. It was a unique mix of different types of food and I would definitely go back to try the ramen and I might even get the butter chicken too. read more

A naan basket with a chicken tika masala & the fried duck in mango curry. Ordered both a two ( medium) it was hotter than expected for someone who likes it hot. Teton Tigers menu offers a wide variety like their website mentions 'offers a little something for everyone'. Indeed, that is true! We ordered dumplings which were pretty much mix of all the flavors, felt like I was eating a rock and with no real taste whatsoever, it felt like it was brought straight out of microwave and not sure about the 'local ingredients'. The reason I gave a three is because The Pad Kee Mao is okay, duck dish (forgot the name) is okay and the service is good. I didn't take any pictures as we were disappointed with the starter itself (salty rock dumpling). And their spicy level is wayyyy off, although they do warn you. We ordered spicy level of 4, only to taste it was may be 1 or less than that. If you are looking for mix of various cuisine, this is the place to go. For me, it's a no no! I would rather have an authentic cuisine than a cuisine-wanna-be. read more

Wow, wow, wow....what a great little place in Jackson! My husband and I started with the Thom Kha soup (delicious) and the vegetable samosas. They were both flavorful and well prepared. For our main entrees we had the chicken tikka masala and the green curry with prawns, garlic naan, and raita. It was all spot on and wonderful. We would definitely recommend to anyone to try Teton Tiger. There's also ramen, dumplings, and I'm sure many more tasty dishes. The staff were friendly and well trained. Ambiance adorable. The place has a nice relaxing design by using old cabinet door panels as side wall decor along with book shelves on top of each booth. We came during lunch hour. It seems only one person that do the hosting & serving. Food is pricey , I guess it is expected in a tourist area like this town. We came with party of 8. It takes a while for the food to come out. For us, 8 orders, we waited between 45 min to an hour before our food are served. I am not sure if it is a norm pace here but for Southern California area, it is considered very slow. The ambiance and decor of this restaurant was really unique and stylish. The menu had a wide variety of Asian dishes with unique twists. I especially appreciated the number of dishes with vegetarian options. However, I'm rating a 3 based on the poor service we received. It didn't seem like we had a consistent waiter and we were mostly ignored from the beginning when we were waiting to order, after we got our food and ran out of water (and were never given a refill), and when we were long done with our meal and had to get up and flag a random staff member in order to pay our bill and leave. Maybe it was an off night, but it could have been a very memorable experience if we had some service. read more

But, takeout orders were getting prioritized over the people eating at the restaurant. 1) Takeout orders were totally overwhelming the restaurant, and were being prioritized over dine-in guests. My girlfriend and I, along with 2 other tables, ended up having to ask for the check and our food to-go as we all had waited over 2 hours without getting our food. Cool place! My brother-in-law and I stopped in here for dinner on a Monday night. There was a miscommunication, and the dish he ordered was out of stock. Our server, Tigger, came over to apologize and went above and beyond to make it right. He ended up getting the kimchi stirfry and said it was 10/10. I had Mama's Ramen and it was absolutely great as well. We were both so impressed by how kind the service was and thoroughly enjoyed our experience here.
