The hotel was shutting down in a couple weeks for renovation. This is still no excuse for limited service and lack of customer service at the restaurant. The current website for Amanda's says "Restaurants are open to both Aman guests and non-residents" we made a special drive up to the property with the intention of enjoying a night cap at the Grill. We also noticed they lack the ability the keep the lounge clean as there was stale food and glasses that looked to have been sitting out for some time. Impending remodel or not this is not the type of service to be expected from an Aman property. Due to this experience we will not be visiting any Aman properties through out the world. read more

Just the view itself is worth the trip and money. Breathtaking views of the mountains and gorgeous native American ambiance. The mushroom appetizer was one of the best I've ever tasted. My halibut was dry and surprisingly it came with bacon lardons which I pushed to the side as I'm generally a pescstarian. I had to say something to the waiter about that. The decaf coffee was french pressed and delicious but the baked Alaska was amazing. It could have been bigger since we were sharing but my waistline was glad it wasn't. Luxurious perfection in Jackson Hole... Where to even begin. The property itself, Amangani, is spectacular. From the moment stepping into the soaring lobby, down to the cozy restaurant with incredible views -- everything is beautifully appointed and luxurious atmosphere (but in the most subtle and tasteful ways). The service is very unique to Aman, in that it has extraordinary attention to detail and refinement, however always very comfortable, friendly, and understated by design. The restaurant experience is second to none in Jackson Hole for every meal of the day -- often filled with surprise and delight. The execution is without any exaggeration, incredible, at every meal. Dinner: An amazing experience every evening across the entire menu, coupled with wonderful wine/cocktail offerings. The menu has spectacular diversity that is creative but also cohesive -- all perfectly executed and presented. Pictures speak louder than words, so there's quite a few attached. Lunch: Everything from Elk Nachos to "Fish Tacos" (pictured), again, not quite what was expected but an insane plate of sea bass conveniently in taco form. Afternoons by a crackling fireplace have never been so comforting and delicious. Breakfast: The "French Toast" is a really cool interpretation (there's really no way to put it into words so you'll just have to find out) as is the "Croissant" sandwich which unexpectedly comes looking like a waffle, but is the most satisfying croissant sandwich ever. If you're lucky enough to be able to go to any Aman resort I would go. We recently were in Jackson hole and went to dinner here and the food was great. Highly recommend the bison Wellington. The service is non rushed and was great and the ambiance is fantastic with the grand Tetons front and center. read more

The service is very good; the people are very kind. They have a fireplace of real wood and the view outside is nice. Food is pretty good, especially the steak and truffle fries. However, it is a little slow for the food to come. Even when we are the only customers, we have to wait for a rather long time. We are staying at the Amangani resort for 4 nights. We have been having dinner at the Amangani Grill every night. What a great experience in every way it has been. Micheal has been greeting us every night and taking care of us as if we were family. Nico has been such an informative and warm waiter who enjoys educating the guests. Andrew the talented chef has been making DELICIOUS food every night. The dishes are Soooo Good that my family and I, love our dinners and we all so look forward to it every night. To go away on vacation and choose to eat your dinners all at the same restaurant is not something to take lightly. So disappointed, after a fabulous brunch here last visit to Jackson. The staff is fabulous and attentive. The food was marginal at best and the prawns with soba noodles were not fresh and nothing worse than seafood that tastes "off". My pastrami rubuen was just ok, and was not grilled properly and rather soggy. The best thing was the sweet potato fries. High marks for presentation but if the food doesn't taste good what's the point exactly ? You can not lose with this location and maginificent view for lunch! Beautiful view, but that's where it stops. Breakfast is fine other than horrible coffee. The Illy coffee in the room or the coffee in the lobby is better. Half the servers our amazing and the other half you are inconveniencing. Lunch and dinner I would go to town over eating here. We waited up to an hour to receive our entrees to only send both back. Haven't been here (ashamed to say) in many, many years -- it kind of flies under the radar but is so, so quietly elegant. We ate lunch twice here during our stay so have a pretty solid feel of the place. Lunch at the Amangani is an experience. It's peaceful, beautiful and serene. Atmosphere is chic, minimalistic and views are breathtaking. The highlight for me was the homemade warm bread and salted butter. The bread was a white bread, with a crispy crust and a soft middle. The butter was the perfect accompaniment. The winter squash soup was rich and creamy without actually having cream in any of it! There were these cinnamon slightly sweet croutons on top, and even though I do not typically enjoy croutons, I loved these. The bison papperadelle was one of the driest pastas ever. A side of sauce helped but there was no excuse for how dry this dish was. This should be removed from the menu. Lamb stew was good and so was the pork tacos and the Brussels sprouts salad. It is more expensive than most other places in Jackson, but it was worth it. read more

We were left wanting.. so much more. It all started out well. Our wait staff was polite, knowledgeable, attentive and on point. But something magical happened when we ordered our food. He disappeared. Some table magic show perhaps? No genuinely he just buggered off. Chaos ensued. A friend had bought a bottle of champagne that was poured once and then we had to hunt it down to find it again. My wife's friends appetizer did not materialize. We had to flag a bus boy down to order wine and finally when we came to pay our check (which to be honest we could have left and nobody would have noticed) the instructions on how to split were so massively incorrect it took us forever to correct. 5 star venue, 5 star food. Let the Yelping of Jackson Hole COMMENCEEEE!!!!!! So we went to Jackson Hole for Xmas week. It snowed a ton. This is one of a couple of "fancy" restaurants we went to (Snake River Grill was the other) while we were in Jackson. Your food options here are on a par with a major/mid-size metropolitan area: sushi, thai food, bar b que, etc. Jackson also has it's share of would-be five star establishments. This is one in that last category. I felt like the vibe they are going for is "modern westerns stuffy." Our Christmas eve dinner was reasonable in price. The crowd here is more international then other Jackson "five star" type spots. The food was uninspired in the extreme (still serving the walnut/dried fruit/blue cheese salad... in 12/08... in inexcusable) but the meal was salvaged by a wicked awesome filet (agreed upon by both wife and I) and some hilarious antics by the guests (french lady chewing out the staff in multiple languages for not being seated in the main dining room.) For what it's worth, when the Beckhams come to Jackson, they stay at the resort attached to the restaurant (the Amanghani.) Also: both their coffee and hot chocolate are supplied by Sysco. I am a tough critic, and don't post often on Yelp for this reason (it's not nice to bash other peoples businesses online, unless they do a really lousy job!) Amangani Grill was so good that I have decided to make a post on their behalf. The breakfast is the best I have had in recent memory - great salmon, fresh juices, delicious yogurt with honey and some other stuff mixed in, kobe beef eggs bene was pretty good, too. We came here for breakfast one morning just because we wanted to check out the hotel. For all the hype for this place I was surprised how understated and homie this hotel and restaurant felt. I kinda liked it. The service was pretty good and our breakfast was top notch. I had the smoked trout eggs benedict. The coffee should have been better I must say though. The view was breathtaking as most are when you're looking at the Tetons. I would definitely come back, maybe dinner or lunch next time. What a disappointment. My fiancé and I went here for dinner to celebrate our engagement. Since it's a 5 star resort we had high expectations for the food. It started out well, great ambiance with a live pianist and the baby beet salad and cocktails were delicious. From there it turned south. The wait staff wasn't very welcoming and each course took forever to come out, which we wouldn't have minded except that my entree was lukewarm when finally served. I got the roasted cauliflower which was sorely lacking in zest and flavor. It was a giant piece of overcooked cauliflower served with an equally large piece of incredibly bitter and burnt endive and on a bed of bland couscous and lentils. My fiancé got the pork chops which we were told by the waiter were exceptional. They were overcooked and the bed of spetzle was hard instead of tender and had a lot of flavors going on yet tasted boring. For dessert we got the blueberry lilac sorbet and the cardamom orange creme brûlée. The sorbet was delicious and the flavors were spot on. The creme brûlée has too many strong flavors that overpowered what is supposed to be a delicate dish. It was also runny. Overall, we were disappointed that our special night was such a let down. This caliber of a restaurant should be serving incredible food where every bite is savored, not food that you feel like you have to eat because you are spending so much on it. WOW! The decor of the restaurant is very very cool!!! The view is spectacular. The staff is very welcoming, they understand customer service. Lets talk food... We went with a group of 6, as you can imagine everyone had their opinion... BUT everyone was happy with the flavors and the food. I highly recommend the pork tacos! We celebrated my sister's significant birthday at Amangani Grill. The staff was very accommodating in preparing a special dessert and making this a celebratory occasion. We were made to feel most welcome and were encouraged to take our predinner drinks out on the terrace to enjoy the view. The restaurant itself was cozy and while not busy, the patrons were seated so as not to intrude on one another. The food was good, not the best we've had at an Aman resort, but good in comparison with what we had at the Granary next door the following night. What made this a 5 star review is the service and ambiance. The wait staff were courteous and attentive without being obtrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would we go back? The most beautiful location in Jackson, but... When we were taken to our table both seats were covered with bread crumbs. We looked to the host for guidance and none was given so we brushed as many crumbs off our seats as possible and sat down. The food was fine but the atmosphere was severely marred by a crying child. When this went on for over an hour we commented to our waitress (who was excellent) and received a comped dessert (which was terrible) from the manager. The Amangani Grill is an expensive restaurant with entrees starting at $45. We expect the food, service and atmosphere to be top notch. If you do as well, skip the dinner and enjoy drinks in the lounge. read more

My favorite restaurant in the Jackson area! Great service from the valet, hostess, managers and servers. Food was excellent! We had the scallop ceviche, glass noodles, arugula salad, bouillabaisse, elk steak, angel hair pasta, risotto, creme brulee, sorbet and ice cream sandwich. Pretty nice view, and swanky spot, but my chicken came out later than that of my companions' meals and was still pink inside. The starter salad was light and lovely and the huckleberry ice cream was a delight. Otherwise, the meal was nice, but not outstanding. For the price, I wonder if the Granary offered lunch items? The service was great, but the food was so-so. My starter was the cold soup and the taste got very tiring and sickening after a few bites... My sister ordered the foie gras and she said it tasted as if it was straight out of a can. My father and I ordered the short ribs for our appetizers and it was way too salty for the both of us! We had to send them back and ask for less salt! For such an expensive restaurant you'd expect excellent food, but we all thought for the price the food was not worth it. read more

We had an incredible dining experience at Amangani this week! The new menu is fresh, creative and exciting. We loved the King Crab with Trout Roe, the Seared Sashimi with Yuzu Sorbet, and the Pho. Our personal favorites were the Idaho Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Sage Butter, and the dry-aged Tomahawk Buffalo Served on a Himalayan Salt Block. Execution was perfect and service impeccable!
