Very good small sushi place in an adorable business suite section near Aspen market on the way to Jackson village. We stopped in with a local friend who knew the folks owning and working here and ordered tons of items for us to try. We didn't try a sushi roll unfortunately, but it's just bc we had ordered so much already! We tried the beet salad, the ribs (delicious but a bit spicy), the tempura veggies which were SO good and fresh and crispy and only lightly breaded, the broccolini, edamame and the dumplings. So we really had almost everything we could except sushi. All was great and my husband, who is a big fan of pork dumplings, loved these a lot. He raved about them all the rest of the night. For dessert - I was torn between a few things but went with the standard homemade chocolate cheesecake and it was delicious. The crust was a sort of coconut deliciousness that I especially loved. Service was great and the inside is small, but very classy. Highly recommend if you are a sushi fan. Believe the owner is from Hawaii so there is a Hawaiian influence to the food. read more

Kind of overpriced for sushi compared to Southern California where I'm from but probably due to cost of bringing in fresh fish . Ordered the Brussels sprouts and Gyoza to share and miso cod as an entree. Food was decent, just hard to justify the price and probably the only decent sushi place for a good while if you're in the area. Despite the food being decent, the service wasn't great. Someone at our table ordered a drinks that was disgusting by everyone standards at the table and he came off very arrogant saying well that's what you ordered. Pretty good and not too far from the Teton Village. Only complaint was how pricey it was, more than better places in Los Angeles, but that's the way it seems to be in Jackson Hole and adjacent. We focused on the sushi dishes We tried a bunch of the carpaccio's. Pesto Carpaccio was my favorite even though salmon isn't my favorite sahshimi, the pesto was really solid. We also liked the tako (octopus) carpaccio, light seasoning. Kids really liked the tombo tataki, the albacore with a carrot ginger puree. We had a handful of sushi dishes. The kids' favorite were both of the fish egg dishes. We had the flying fish with quail egg, which was solid. Also enjoyed the yellowtail sashimi. I also had sudachi sundae with a pretty good black sesame ice cream,came with chocolate sauce, and a different, but enjoyable sesame brittle. Service was solid. read more

The worst service and subpar food we've experienced visiting Jackson Hole. We made it to tons of restaurants Figs, Westbank Grill, Glorietta, Persephone and they were all fabulous. I am unclear why this restaurant was even booked the night we ate there, but first of all they gave us a time limit and it gets worse. So, we arrived there 15 min early and exactly when the restaurant opened. There was only one other table of 2 and us for a good 15 min, and when we went to sit at our table, my mom asked to be closer to one by the window, same amount of seats as our table. The host with the mustache replied that they were locked in for the night and mind you, no one but two other people were there at the time. Then he sighed loudly and acted like it was the most difficult thing to accommodate our request, finally said yes, but then said, now instead of having to leave at the time we told you, you are now cut down by another 30 min and when I thanked him for moving us, he literally said "whatever"! Appalled ! That's how we started the night and still wanted to give them a chance.....if you like being hungry when 6 courses come out, and given the smallest portions ever come here. I couldn't believe how small their black cod was and the quality of their fish was so bad. We paid $80+ dollars for Toro, and yes we are from Hawaii and have high expectations , but this tasted NOTHING like Otoro we have ever had. Toro is supposed to melt in your mouth....like butter, this was our regular grade fish and not worth the price. I knew I was taking a risk coming here, but I would completely avoid it all together and stick to figs, Italian at Glorietta or anywhere other than here. read more

Happy this place was open, not many options outside of Jackson. The wait was bad, and system disorganized, but that is forgivable during COVID times. I thought the food was pretty good, on par with good Japanese places in a larger city; the price was too high for the quality- but heck, we're at the base of the Tetons. Would still recommend going here to anyone in the area. The reason they get a 4 is that the Miso Soup was much too salty; an error like that needs to be answered by a ding in stars. read more

Where exactly to begin? Set in a strip mall-type area outside a presumably mildly over-priced condo development, Su-douchey takes the cake for everything wrong with hipsters attempting to operate a business. Let's run down the amateur-hour level of detail, shall we? 1) The menu is loving constructed by someone with at least 1 year of high school Japanese attempting to confound people with food options that are generally plainly spelled out at all other Sushi restaurants. Imagine if you went into an establishment that seemed to advertise hamburgers only to have the menu read "Hanbāgā." You think you know what they're getting at, but you're not quite certain are you? I mean, it's literally the word Hamburger typed into Google Translate - seems like it should cost $37 more; doesn't it? 2) Everything here costs about $37 more than it should. The prices are so insultingly high I honestly thought it was a joke at first; like the amount was in Yen or something (note for the junior college dropouts running the place; $1 currently equals 104 Yen - yep, found that on Google too - Are we having fun yet?). 1 piece of Sushi is $6 - 3 for $18 (math - a true strong suit of hipsters everywhere). Ramen? $18. Omakase Sushi? $34 to $54. Ridiculous. 3) And ridiculous doesn't even begin to describe to rest of the menu options. It's like someone with tourette syndrome tried to create a menu using proper nouns commonly found in a mis-translated Japanese newspaper. Here's the good news - there is no possible way this place stays in business as it currently sits. Either it folds before ski season or someone's trust fund starts running low and they have to reduce the prices and the bro-titude to actually attract customers because, hint boys; the clientele of the surrounding rental community has been to, you know, New York and even there they don't pay what you're attempting to charge for Sushi. Until then, give this place a wide berth and the disdain it deserves - they have absolutely earned it. read more

Normally I really don't factor cost into a review because that is a separate factor that normally does not affect the dining experience. However - it definitely is noticeable in terms of the nigiri vs sashimi orders. No rice is included even when ordering certain entrees. The nigiri orders are obnoxiously priced per piece. I am talking obnoxious even compared to michelin starred japanese establishments in actual cities. The seating here is horrendous. We were placed behind a partial room divider that was ugly and cramped - and my chair when seated normally was "in the way" of walking traffic for servers. There are way better options for japanese around. I would not ever return unless there is substantial improvement in the dining experience and menu pricing. Unfortunate they take advantage of their location near the resort. But I surmise this will change very soon as other much better options are soon to be available. Also - In absolutely no way is this place upscale and classy as self described on their yelp profile. If you look at their website - there is no pricing on their posted menu. That should be a telltale sign that your wallet will be taken advantage of. read more

WARNING!! This merchant is taking advantage of the Corona situation. I will start by saying the food is excellent. That is not the issue. We ordered dinner last night to take home. The cost seemed a little high so I checked the itemized bill. On the bill was a $13.00 charge for "take out." Believe me, it is not the $13.00 that bothers me, it is the principle that in these days of the Corona Pandemic when people are being encouraged to take their food home to eat, why all of a sudden this restaurant is charging a $13.00 service charge to take the food out. We have been bringing food home from many restaurants in JH over the summer and not one of them has charged for takeout. I questioned the owner and I have to say his attitude towards this customer was less than appreciated. I asked him if I had my dinner in the restaurant and didn't finish my meal would I be charged for the box to take it home. Of course, he said "no." I also reminded him that by taking my food home he saves money on dishwashing. My question was why would he charge to take the food home to eat. I let him know that if they continue to charge for takeout, we would not be coming back. His answer to me was "I have been here at this restaurant 6 years and I don't recognize your face (perhaps, it was because I was wearing my mask) and I couldn't care less if you don't want to eat here again." On their website, it encourages you to take food out, and nowhere does it say a service charge will be added to your bill for the privilege of taking the food home. "We will also begin receiving TAKE-OUT orders at 4pm, please call us to get you order in, as take out slots fill up quickly for the evening." I am sad that this happened because we very much enjoy the food, but we will not return when the attitude of the owner was such as it was last night. Had a fantastic meal here last week. A small, intimate joint with fantastic sushi and asian options. The sushi was as good as I've had anywhere and the cocktails were equal to the dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful, service was great with dishes arriving at perfect intervals. It's not cheap, but it's well worth the price. read more

Sudachi was our first restaurant in the Jackson area and it did not disappoint! We were staying nearby with our two pups and they graciously allowed us to sit outside with them. The service was friendly, attentive, warm and welcoming. Drinks were incredible.. but of course the food is where we were really won over. I've been to enough sushi places to say that this was probably not the best one, but again, in this tiny bittzy town, this was really something decent. Delightful (really modern) atmosphere. The lady guided us to seat was really sweet but the guy could do slightly better ( nothing outrages, just don't feel so welcomed). Ordered ramen and a sushi roll. The soup for ramen was a bit too salty, but the sushi was quite filling. Again, not a bad job. I personally think it was too harsh to give a one star to Sudachi. This was quite possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had. The food was marginal at best; but don't come w an appetite bc the serving sizes are incredibly petite, esp for the price! But that's not where the disappointment stems from. Our waitress was horrible. Bad mood, flippant remarks when asking about the menu, had to ask for more water ...oh, and since when do you need to ask for ginger and wasabi! Uh, we did. And even tho it's nit picky, the presentation of the rolls we ordered was sloppy. Good sushi restaurants usually take pride in their presentation skills. Not these guys. I'll never go back to this place, and be sure to tell anyone I know that's visiting JH to avoid this spot if they're looking for sushi. This review is averaged at 3 a 2 for service and 4 for food. don't think I have ever felt less welcome in a restaurant. This seems to be an elite sushi restaurant for the residents of Teton Pines vs a tourist friendly spot. From the moment the hostess saw my two children, and my two girls behave very well in restaurants, they asked whether I could keep my visit to 1 hour. I was a little taken aback and said that was fine as long as food wasn't delayed as we had to be somewhere else in 1.5 hours anyhow. I thought that was a rude greeting but the place got great reviews and our waiter was nice enough. We ordered an assortment of items from edamame, great miso soup, seaweed salad, rock shrimp which my wife loved, tuna tartare, fresh salmon and hamachi, caprese roll, and the fried chicken. Overall a solid sushi and Asian fusion dinner, nothing that will change your life. Unfortunately the dinner was spoiled by a few crappy attitudes including the hostess greeting, a waitress who snapped at my wife and daughter as they 'got in her way' as they left the table to use the restroom, as well as a few customers who shot glances our way. This is obviously not a family friendly place and had a very exclusive feel to it. I thought for a 200 dinner they could have been a lot friendlier and I will never go back. read more

Went on a Tuesday and they were sold out of their specials. Still managed to salvage a decent Asian-fusion meal in Jackson! Start with the tuna tartar on crispy rice, followed by the grilled octopus. The kurobuta pork ramen with an egg was very flavorful and filling. Also recommend the Maui cut roll to share with the table. My family and I have eaten at Sudachi a number of times. We loved the food and my husband and I were excited to go back for HH. But when we showed up during our most recent trip to Jackson, we left after an unnerving experience with the staff. They were rude, completely unable to problem-solve, and enabled bad-behaving customers. Sadly, we will not be back to Sudachi. My husband and I arrived at 5:31 for 5:30 happy hour. There were only four people seated at a bar, which accommodates eight. The hostess, after ignoring us for awhile, said that we would need to split up if we wanted to sit at the bar. We asked about the two open seats at one end. The sushi chef announced that those seats were being saved. Note, he didn't say the seats were reserved, as this is a first come, first serve happy hour. Then the waiter asked one of the couples if they wouldn't mind moving down to make room for us. The woman of this pair laughed and replied, "We're not moving!" Her male partner, followed, "that's right, we have these seats, and we're not moving!!" The waiter shrugged and simply said, "Well, I tried." Then we looked at the two open seats next to another pair. "We're saving this seat, too," one of them said. The final straw was when the hostess said she could seat us at a table. We asked if we could still order off the happy hour menu. "Unfortunately no," she said, "we only do happy hour at the bar." We left immediately and took our business to Teton Village. I understand that a restaurant can't control the attitudes of their customers, but in this case, the staff was completely unable to problem-solve and made us feel like we didn't belong. Sorry Sudachi, you lost some loyal customers. read more

Erratic and poor customer service! We ate there and loved the food (once). Came back the following week and the restaurant was virtually empty except for our party and a lone person at the sushi bar- this was at the height of the summer season. We ordered EXACTLY the same items as the week before. Everything was off- the cooked items (all 5 of them) were soggy and the flavors were amiss, except for the taste of old oil. We told the server, when she finally came out of the back, that the food wasn't right and we had ordered the same meal on a previous occasion. The server eventually reappeared to say the cook told her that THE FRYER WASN'T WORKING RIGHT and a repair person was coming to service it that week. NO APOLOGY, no offer of something else on the menu, no gratis anything. Just a full bill for food that THEY KNEW should not be served! Rude and lacking of customer service but full of entitlement. Forget it until someone there bothers to go to restaurant management school. Lesson learned: You don't knowingly serve rotten food and not give a darn! Locals talk- it's a small town. And most tourists don't frequent that neck of the woods much. Never again... too bad it's a bad situation that could have been rectified if someone there had any manners or good business etiquette. read more

Upon walking in the door I knew this place was good. The music was original, the host was polite and guided me to the sushi bar. I was then infatuated with the bar, which is crafted out of glass, and surrounding art pieces. The chefs were very friendly, and service was amazing. I had the chef create a special dinner choosing some things off the menu, and nightly specials (which were well thought out and delightful). The rice was cooked and seasoned nicely and foremost the fish was superbly fresh. I would recommend this to anyone in Jackson and moreover it holds weight against many other top sushi bars!! read more

The sushi was good and the service was great. I was surprised at the freshness of the sushi all the way in WY. The only downside was this place was very pricy. I am not a cheap skate but I imagine this being in a ski resort area they are use to charging high prices. I'd go back but not very often. It was nice walking out of my condo to a nice area at the resort to eat. Great food. Great service. Best place for sushi in Jackson Hole. Seriously, it was kinda tricky to get there from the hotel. But the bus system runs regularly and the food is worth the journey. Karagae chicken was bland. The worst part, though, was the service. Probably some of the best sushi I have ever had. We went in a group of 9 for my brothers bday. There was a bit of wait to get our table, but the owner was so nice that he sent out shrimp appetizers while we waited. Once seated, I asked the owner is they can do a platter with chef choice selections. He said that he can definitely do that, and would keep bringing out different dishes till we were done.
