Stopped by for the anniversary truffles. One of our favorite chocolate shops in NYC right outside Rocketfella Center. Small but packed and staff were helpful.

Three and a half. The only reason for that are the prices. I do appreciate Swiss chocolate because I grew up there and ate this but I don't recall having spent that amount of money for it. I do remember pretty stores and they changed them for the seasons as I recall. I decided to come in and grab a few items for the parentals since they introduced me to it and didn't go all the way to nyc. So I did and enjoyed the experience!

Happen upon Teuscher in the Rockefeller Center area and didn't regret it. Very nice selection of truffles, solid chocolate, etc. Especially appreciated the dark chocolate selection. Going to add this to my short list of places to visit each time I am in NYC.

Super adorable (and flamboyant) chocolatier right by Rockefeller Center. Very interesting and extensive selection of all sorts truffles, pralines and just chocolates in general. Champagne truffle is one of their signature items. The lavender truffle is definitely something special, but I probably wouldn't get that again.

Beautiful chocolate shop. Dropped by to try their Champagne Truffles. The employees are quick. The shop can get crowded. It is right in the middle of Rockefeller Center. I love the decor and festive colors throughout the store. After taking my first bite, I was quite impressed. The truffle has 3 layers. The outside is a thin layer of light milk chocolate. The 2nd layer is a smooth and creamy dark chocolate ganache. Finally, there is a Dom Perignon Champagne cream center. The champagne center is light. The truffles are then topped off with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. I appreciate that the truffle was light, not too sweet and prepared with quality ingredients. At $8 for 2 pieces of truffles, I can't say that I'll be dropping by often. However, these chocolates would be a wonderful gift for that chocolate lover in your life. A definite treat.

The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! An absolute must visit for beer lovers who find themselves near Bryant Park! (Also non-beer lovers since they offer so much more too.)

It didn't wow me. Tasted pretty much like your standard chocolate almonds. I recently decided to give this place another shot to try their highly-raved macarons and OMG... didn't expect a macaron to change my life. The chocolate ganache is heavenly. My favorite might be the "Sylvia", which is milk chocolate ganache + hints of caramel. The worker behind the counter was kind and helpful. I purchased two macaron sets, informing her that one was a present. She graciously offered me an extra gift bag.

How have I never written a review of this remarkable chocolate shop?!…read more La Maison du Chocolat is my all-time favorite chocolate. I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
