Came to this specialty store during my birthday month to receive a birthday treat. Received a cute box filled with delicious goodies. The young lady who assisted me was pleasant and knowledgeable with the ingredients inside all of the choices I made for my gift box. These delicious chocolates are so rich yet not overbearing on your palate and you can also taste the different notes each piece consists of. Honestly, I want to give Neuhaus a BIG shout out. My daughter in law and I walked in and met the most friendly person behind the counter who welcomed us in and offered us one chocolate of our choice. We each chose a chocolate and walked around while eating, looking at the beautiful chocolate all around us. There was a GIANT chocolate town house, which was really cool. After browsing we left. I came to this Neuhaus location with a friend last week. I first fell in love with Neuhaus when I tried them in Belgium, where the company was founded. My favorite flavor is their plaid or which is made with a hazelnut ganache. The chocolate is rich and top tier quality. Their Hudson yards store is on the first floor of the mall and has several premade gift boxes as well as individual chocolates for sale. They also sell ice cream in the store. When we were at the store, there was one sales associate present. He helped my friend find the right chocolates to suit his tastes. He allowed my friend to try one of the flavors. My friend ended up making a small box with a mix of hand selected items. For 9 pieces, it came out to about $16. The chocolate is not cheap but I think it makes a nice treat or gift that anyone can appreciate. read more

I love Neuhaus. I had it first in Belgium and now I'm hooked. It's difficult to find in the USA and I was excited to see two of these stores while walking around and shopping (the other was around 5th ave area). I immediately went inside looking for my favorite little hazelnut praline delights and bought some. It's pricey - but the chocolate is sooo delicious! Staff inside was friendly and no line when I was there so it was a quick in and out. This is a small shop so it doesn't have as much selection as the one on 5th Ave but it had all the items you could count on. read more

This little Belgian chocolate gem of a store is a go-to spot for us when we are looking for a gift for someone. It is a nice surprise for them to see chocolates from a company they have not seen before. They are like a Belgian version of Royce. I am not a huge fan of this type of stuff, but I was really impressed by the level of quality of the products. The staff here are excellent. There are 1 or 2 main people that seem to know everything about every chocolate, know the Neuhaus story, make great recommendations, etc. The prices are not cheap, but I think they are pretty reasonable considering the quality and specialness of the product. read more

I tried the raspberry dark chocolate and bought the pistachio bark, raspberry chocolate bar, and coconut chocolate bar to take home. The prices are reasonable for NY. I got a chance to visit Neuhaus's flagship boutique a week after they open at the Hudson Yards and I was not disappointed. They have a friendly informative staff, especially Dominique who gave me the grand tour. it is brightly lit and spacious shop and a large glass display case of chocolates. Also on display are giant chocolate Christmas trees surrounded by chocolate gift boxes. They offer anyone that comes into the store a free sample any of there chocolates, and I settled for a caramel praline with a pecan nut topping. It was real good very tasty but not too sugar sweet. The store has the seasonal Christmas selection with a special new holiday version of the Premium Chocolate Advent Calendar it's named the 'Countdown to Happiness' box with 25 date popups that creates a winter Christmas theme once they are all open. They also have the standard chocolate box offerings with one new item of the Wine Pairing Collection. If you at the Hudson Yards you should drop by just to score a free chocolate. read more

These are some of the world's best chocolates. They literally melt in your mouth. Moreover, they are not cloyingly sweet. Along with Teuscher and Jacques Torres, Neuhaus is in my top three favorites. I had to take two stars away, sadly, because I turned and left today when I saw a maskless employee yucking it up with customers. I went upstairs and bought a pound at Li-Lac, which is tasty chocolate, but not nearly as good as Neuhaus. But it was closing time and I needed a chocolate fix. I'll keep buying Neuhaus. But online. Shame on Neuhaus for this public health oversight. read more

I know Neuhaus chocolate is good. But we weren't really planning on buying anything when we wandered in after lunch on a Saturday. However, the nice woman behind the counter offered us samples, and handed us each an "irresistible." They were aptly named, as we ended up spending 20 mins choosing a 16 piece box of chocolate. We went back again the following day to buy birthday gifts for family. We're hooked. read more

People here are so rude. I just bought a small chocolate for V day and asked for a ribbon. They made a such a rude face and said "no" "no" the old guy who was saying not didnt even look at me. I wouldnt come here since there are many nicer place with nicer customer service in the mall. So if You dont spend over 5/60$, they wont treat you like a human. Such rude guys here. read more

Husband and I love Neuhaus chocolates especially champagne truffles. We dropped for a couple of truffles. The counter person gave them complimentary. That was really nice! great, but not the best, IMO. While being excellent and one of the biggest names (read Corporate) in Belgium, I do not think it is the best. Check out Dumon and The Chocolate Line as well as some of the smaller shops in Belgium. They are a bit smoother. I often worry about import shops that open in foreign countries (i.e Beer) and try to reproduce the flavor with local products rather than original. I do not know if Neuhaus imports all their products, materials of makes them local. The counter person at the location we went to (Hudson Yards) was very helpful, accommodating and efficient. She advised us on flavors with great patience. She even advised us, we could get two free truffles just for signing up for their e-mail list. overall, excellent but my personal preference is other Brands. read more
