Today we were actually on the way to IHOP in Saginaw, but decided to give Texan Diner a try since it's been a while. When we arrived right before noon it was popping with people! All the tables were occupied so much so that there were no menus available. Not a problem since we used Yelp to peruse anyway. I haven't had a Monte Cristo sandwich since Sweetipies Decatur closed, and theirs was a smidge too sweet for me. So why not try Texan Diner's? It's savory with the bacon, eggs and Swiss cheese all packed between deliciously made French toast, and topped with powdered sugar! It's served with jalapeno raspberry jam which gives it a little more sweet, not overly. It's a huge sandwich and my goodness I devoured it. My daughter enjoyed her Rajun Cajun sandwich which is what I almost ordered. And my husband said his meatloaf was delicious (what he ordered four years ago). Our toddler got a chocolate chip pancake plate which she asked for more, of course! Customer service was amazing, our server was Olivia! Thank you Olivia!!

I had to laugh...restaurant was described as fancy. While my sis was having her Nails done I decided to give this rest a try. I've seen it many times but the name and location didn't grab me. Ordered the meatloaf, prepared at the restaurant with gravy, Garlic mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, green beans. I couldn't help but notice the dessert case and went for it. What arrived was scrumptious! Excellently prepared and tasty. The blue negative critique is the greens beans, potato's and Mac n cheese arrive "cold". The meatloaf and gravy was piping hot. Regardless the food was delicious. Meatloaf was wonderful, Wrapped in bacon and topped with breaded stringed onions. The gravy was homemade. It's billed as a shiner Brock brown gravy and it compliments the potatoes and meatloaf perfectly. Th green beans are freshly prepared and seasoned. Mashed potatoes had the right amount of garlic. Enjoyed them. The highlight was the Mac N cheese. It was cheesy. Yo could taste the cheddar. Superb! Finally, Triple coconut cream Pie with coffee. It turned my whole day around. Both were fantastic and tasty. Classic lesson for today...don't judge a book by its cover. I'll be back...with family and Friends!

Omg, never been here before- but Damn this is definitely the best breakfast I've ever had! The pancakes were so soft and easy to cut into!!! But waitress was so nice and funny with cracking jokes with us. Love the open space and it was very clean and airy. Definitely will be back!

From the moment I walked in, the service was outstanding. I chose to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, and my waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. She shared the restaurant's best sellers along with her personal favorites, which made choosing easy. I went with the California Benedict and an espresso martini, and both were absolutely delicious! Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

It was so loud that when they came to grab it before I was down they didn't hear me and took it. Food wise, I what I ordered was not good or cooked properly. I asked for something else. They said they would still charge me for the first one. (Took two bites). I would've been glad for them to try again. They said they don't do that. So I was charged for it and didn't eat it regardless that it was improperly cooked. Then they added gratuity for the food I didn't eat and the over charged drink. My daughter got a cinnamon roll and it tasted like the pan they didn't clean well enough when cooking it. I mentioned it. Nothing done. Don't expect this place to be a nice place. They auction the food to tables since they don't know what food goes to who. It's the little things like You ask for something like salt and pepper and they deliver it to the end of the table to pass it down rather walk two feet and hand it to you. (Yes the person was sitting on the outside). Same with hot sauce. With how loud it was it was hard to talk and the people next to us were hollering. Definitely not a nice place to take a family to sit and enjoy company of all. Plus with the "policy" of not replacing items so not taking care of customers...beware. I even told them I expected more from a place that looked like it would be a great place. They did nothing. Don't think my family will be going back. Update: I stepped out early and come to find out they told my family to leave since our reservation wasn't long enough? Waiting 20 min for water and a pen for the bill since it was already gratted and then the family needs to leave. Horrible customer experience.

Food was kind of late getting out, so Ayonna comped us the Bougie biscuits appetizer - they were fantastic. The blueberry, cinnamon, & salted caramel butters were equally amazing. Probably the best biscuits ever? Certainly the best butters I've tasted. We polished off our bottle of Prosecco as peach, pineapple, passionfruit, and blueberry Mimosas. Juices were flavorful, but didn't taste fresh-squeezed - still good. The Carnitas hash was served steaming hot, packed with flavors. Wow! Ask for extra onions. A lot of food! Pro tip- walk next-door to the Sicilian butcher and grab a fresh toasted Lobster Tail pastry filled with Nutella and wash it down with a cappuccino from their bakery-coffee shop.

My latte with oatmilk featured weak tasting coffee. Lattes need a nice strong brew. My entree of chicken and waffles was lackluster. I went with the boneless chicken and it was plain with very little flavor except for the huge pile of maple syrup under the chicken. The chicken sitting on top of a lot of maple syrup was unpleasant for me. My waffles looked amazing, but tasted bland and were dry and lukewarm. The hubby's food of chicken benedict also fell flat on flavor. Again, the dish was presented, beautifully, but food should always taste as good as it looks. Maybe we came on an "off day" for flavorful food? Well, like I wrote, service was stellar and the space does have a nice vibe. I just wish our food and drinks had been equally satisfying.
