I opted for the mobile service, since wifey doesn't like driving around the freeways in Houston, and it was scheduled. At the end of the scheduled time, I got a call telling me they were delayed and offering to pick up the car at home, complete the maintenance, wash and vacuum it and return it the same day. So they actually Ubered a driver to my home, he drove the car to the dealership, they did the maintenance and then drove it back cleaner than when he left. I was impressed with everyone at the dealership including Mona who coordinated the process and Robert who did the driving. We know we bought at the right dealership! It's been 5 stars since delivery.

Aries from BMW Genius reached out to Sonic Automotive Momentum BMW and stated she spoke with Jordan from Sonic Automotive Momentum BMW, he responded to her stating they don't feel comfortable with selling to us. Momentum and BMW West states Sonic Automotive does not want to sell the vehicle to us and it's a management decision. It appears they have discriminatory practices. A letter has been sent to Sonic Automotive customer relations Rachael Z. requesting that she forward and deliver the email and it's complete attachments to David Burton Smith, Heath R Byrd, Marcus G, Jeff Dyke, William Belk, Keri Kaiser and Michael Hodge with the intent to gain their cooperation and empathy to remedy this matter, it's approaching week two and still there's no response. We came to them to purchase a family vehicle, BMW has been a brand that we have grown in, my wife's late father owned a BMW V12 740 LI back in 1991. This was supposed to be a full circle moment. That now my father would own a BMW chariot to carry his legacy around in Sonic Automotive brand has ruined it! My father is a hard-working man, he may look rough and exhausted, but he worked his whole life, paid his debts and duty to society, and he has a right to the pursuit of happiness regardless to someone's personal judgment of his appearance. This is gross dereliction of duty from Sonic Automotive. We will continue to escalate this matter to the point of resolve.

I've only been here twice, but my read on these guys is: 1) they are old school grease monkeys 2) they do what needs to be done on your car and they don't try to sell you other repairs you don't need 3) reasonably priced 4) the shop is not "pristine" like some other shops, but this is an appearance thing only. Also during the 1 hour, they did an AC "complete service" for $144. And there is only one mechanic on duty at the time. Shocks cost them $160 total, he told me. Give them $60 bucks credit for freon, and they charged me $500 for one hour of labor. When I questioned them (e.g., how they do 2.4 hours of work in 1 hour, why they sold me $40 shocks as "just like Bilsteins, which are always $90 or higher) they started yelling at me and things went down hill from there. Mechanic's son acted like he was going to punch me so I ended up apologizing. Which is weird, since they had just screwed me royally. It is no wonder their business is empty most of the time that I drive by and look.
