I found a used truck online that was at Texas Auto South in Webster TX, near Houston. My sales person was Brooke Cathey. We completed all the PW in advance. Upon arrival Brooke met me and we drove the truck. I wanted to look at another so we drove another truck. It was a better fit...4x4, newer and better shape. Brooke made the PW changes and I found an added charge on the invoice . Brooke had it removed and I was on my way home in about an hour. Four days later the AC went out. I went back to Brooke and she got me into service immediately. The AC compressor needed to be replaced...an expensive repair. I expected a big bill on my new used truck. Brooke got me a loaner vehicle for the night. I returned the next day and to my surprise the repair was free of charge. I have done a lot of outside sales work and owned a dealer license in TX. This dealership's sales practices and service department are easily the worst I've ever encountered. You definitely want to read this whole thing before even considering doing business with them. The pricing is a scam, because there's mandatory dealer add-ons that you cannot buy the car without, coming out to around $2000+ dollars (ceramic coating, tints, lo-jack, etc). They also stated that all the maintenance was completed prior to sale, which was a lie (more on that later). Upon inspection of the car (2020 Alfa Romeo Guilia), we noticed there were poorly touched up scratches in the paint, the front parking sensor was dangling, and the hood latch release from inside the car was completely broken; the salesperson stated those would be fixed after the purchase. Prior to purchase we made sure that the dealer annotated all of those details, to include doing a full buffing of the paint prior to doing the ceramic coating. We were told after the fact to schedule an appointment to bring the car in. 3 days after buying the car, the engine oil maintenance light came on (meaning the fluids were not changed, as we were told). We scheduled an appointment to bring the car in and after leaving it with them for about a week to fix the hood latch, the oil change, the ceramic coating and the front sensor. After coming back to pick it up, none of the items were fixed. We fought for a loaner car and ended up leaving the car another week until we were called and told everything was done. Turns out the hood latch wasn't installed properly, and the car wasn't even polished and ceramic coated all (as promised in writing, easily identifiable by the swirl marks and the Texas Auto Sticker that was supposed to be removed). In summary, you're obligated to pay dealer add-ons that don't get done, the service department is terrible, and all they care about is selling cars and forgetting about their customers after. If I could go back in time and never set my eyes upon the abhorrent sight of a dealership, I would. Shame I can't give 0 stars. read more

BUYERS BE WARE!!This is the worst experience ever! Do not deal with this dealership. This is supposed to be an online shopping dealer and they are truly a typical lie to get you in the door used car lot!! I live in San Antonio and I did the trade appraisal online and Patrick Anderson communicated with me and I asked him to be transparent and not play any games with me being that I am not a local and had to travel 3.5 hours to be in person. Patrick told me I need to come in person so they can see my trade in. I asked what about the online appraisal and he said I should get close to what the online appraisal was. We set up an appointment for me to come in person, As I was on my way about an hour in route, Patrick called me and asked could I go to Car Max and get an appraisal because they are affiliated with CarMax and would honor my bid and I told him no because I'm already in route and did not have enough time to veer off and do that also. When I get there Patrick is magically busy with 3 customers knowing we had an appointment and sets me up to work with someone else. Everything that Patrick told me was a lie to get me in the door. The lady he paired me with told me they appraised my vehicle for 20k!!! I was very upset and asked to speak to a sales manager. Christian Karamitsos, whom is A very incompetent source for authority, disrespectful, very unprofessional (possibly racist because of the immediate attitude he presented as soon as we met) I was speaking calmly about the information that Patrick mislead me with and Christian began to interrupt me while I was explaining my grievance and when I showed him the screenshot of the Texas Auto value for my trade in, this idiot blatantly told me "I see what you're trying to do but it's not going to work here you can leave!" Unbelieveable! All I was trying to do was purchase a car with a smooth, hassle free, transparent process. This company is falsely advertising OUR BEST OFFER on your vehicle trade in. When I input my vehicle information on clean value it gave me a value of $27,100. On average condition, 24,625. I screenshotted this info, not knowing until today that I was sent a separate email showing a value range of $19,700-24,625!! The manager Christian was so incompetent and racist that he could not even convey to me in a professional, respectful manner that I was sent a separate email with a range. Instead he accused me of trying to do what this dealership had done to me was lie! Christian could not even justify why he low balled my trade in to $20k from the online value. PATHETIC!! read more

Because I have some seriously challenged credit I was told I needed a HUGE down (11600). I told them I need till mid March. They agreed, but I still wanted to test drive before I gave them money to hold it for me. I was told if they had to hold it 2 weeks, they would keep my deposit, even if when I finally drove it I didn't like it. So I gave 500 deposit to hold the vehicle until I could come look at and TEST DRIVE the vehicle, THE NEXT DAY(Saturday 27February2021). Unfortunately I was told Saturday the financing had a hiccup, by the time that hiccup was straightened out it was late in the afternoon. I live in Round Rock Texas so I moved the Test drive to Monday March 1, 2021. I received an email that morning (1 MARCH 2021) confirming my appointment, so My wife and I drove to Texas Auto South...3.5 hours. They KNEW I was supposed to be there. I was promised, Jeep detailed, full of fuel, ready to be test driven. NOPE NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. Just before we arrived I was told the vehicle would not be available today. Since we were almost there we continued on. Everyone seemed nice, professional and eager to complete our business. Mo Nazzal was quick to offer to compete the purchase and even offered to deliver the vehicle to my house, We declined because we wanted to test drive the vehicle. Our sales representative graciously offered to drive us to their sister lot where the jeep was being worked on. Another hour drive (each way). We finally looked at the jeep, yes it had issues, but I was told they would be addressed. We looked at it for maybe 10 minutes (no test drive was allowed). We were drove back to Texas Auto South. Again the offer to deliver the vehicle to my house was made, which I declined because I wanted to take delivery at the dealership to ensure that all the issues were corrected. I was told it would take 2 weeks to complete the repairs, so I agreed to complete the down payment (very hefty due to my dismal credit) when I returned mid March. Here is where I went completely wrong...We gave them another $500.00 that day (March 1, 2021). So in total 1000. MY fault, I agree. Because of all the earlier issues, I should have walked away. Today is 8 MARCH 2021, I have not taken ownership of the vehicle, but over the last weekend I went through the CARFAX extensively, apparently this vehicle was in a serious accident, CARFAX recommends it get inspected by a frame shop. I figured based on this information and generally its the right thing to do is to give me my money back, its not like the vehicle was exclusively reserved or even available for purchase. This entire week the Jeep has been listed for sale still. The jeep is still undergoing repairs according to MO NAZZAL as of today (March 8, 2021). I still have not signed any pay work. I called today to cancel the order, because of the horrible carfax, I was told by MO NAZZAL I could only get $500.00 dollars back but the other $500.00 (That part is non-refundable). He instructed me to go ahead and write a bad review. We argued for quite some time on the phone, I was not polite by any means. Yes I made mistakes, I gave these folks $1000.00 on a Jeep that is still listed for sale, that still isn't ready to be sold, so it cost me $500.00 for them to secretly hold it for me? Texas Auto South is the epitome of those stereotype. I purchased a lemon from them and despite they purchased it back I was $12000 in the hole. Below is an abbreviated email that was sent on Sept 11, 2023. "Christian I want to start with a high-level recap of the series of events Timeline of Events: June 2023: Purchased a vehicle from Texas Auto. June 26th: Reported issues with brakes, oil sensor, and other lights. Texas Auto found no problems (despite that delayed maintenance leads to increased repair costs, decreased vehicle life, and increased safety risks.) August 20th: Vehicle overheated, becoming inoperable. Contacted Texas Auto representative with no response. Had the car towed home. August 21st: Called Texas Auto for guidance. Was told at 11 AM to tow the car to their dealership. Late August to Mid-September: Vehicle remained at Texas Auto for over 3 weeks. Received conflicting information from Texas Auto and the warranty company. Warranty company advised canceling the purchased warranty due to inapplicability. Mid-September: After nearly a month, towed the car from Texas Auto to Porsche dealership for a third personal towing expense. Porsche diagnosed immediate needs for brake and oil changes, identified two recall items, and found the coolant issue. Mid-September: Car Note due for a vehicle not in my possession. Received a quote from Porsche, which was half of what Texas Auto had estimated. Informed Texas Auto that their loaner vehicle would need to be retrieved from my location. Late September:  Discovered a faulty headlight with a replacement cost exceeding $7000. I am writing to express my deep concerns and frustrations regarding my experiences I've had after purchasing a vehicle from Texas Auto in June 2023. Within days of my purchase, I reported multiple issues with the vehicle. From brake problems to sensor malfunctions, the car exhibited numerous red flags. Each time I sought assistance, I was met with either opposing information or inaction. My trust began to deteriorate after my vehicle was with you for over three weeks, during which I received conflicting and confusing information from both Texas Auto and the warranty company. The warranty company even suggested that the warranty you sold me did not apply to my vehicle type and recommended I cancel it. Desperate for a resolution and not confident in the direction I was receiving, I had my car assessed by Porsche. Zero stars Purchased a car last year price online was 37,995 SAMIR IN FINANCE upped the interest rate from the bank also said a 5,500 warranty was required or the loan would be pulled also watch out for your down payment to magically not be reflected on the contract. Then take your money. Once the car messes up on you, within your warranty time, they give you the run around and say they'll have someone call you. No one calls you. They'll keep this up until your warranty runs out and then say there's nothing they can do and that's it negligence on your end if anything is wrong with your car. No one wants to let you speak to a hirer up and everyone is a manager. RUN RUN RUN or come with your own mechanic!!! I got the hi tech plan after talking with him and many many times was told "if anything goes wrong with this car over $200 this will cover it" because $200 was the per instance deductible. Well let me tell you lots of things have gone wrong with this car....and nothing is covered. Not even a rear coil spring. Get real. You can't get anyone to call you back. This review is only for their service department. I purchased a car care Groupon about a year ago where it was $59 for 10 free oil changes and a bunch of other free things (brake checks, tire rotations, 1/2 hour of labor, etc) at Texas Auto. I've now gone there a few times to get my oil changed and my brakes checked once when they were squeaking a bit. I've had great experiences each time in their service department. The staff is friendly and attentive, and haven't come off as pushy. Each time I've gone, I walked in without an appointment and the whole thing only took about 20-30 minutes, which is definitely acceptable for me. I get full synthetic oil, which ends up costing me about $6 (since I pay the difference over the regular oil price that's quoted on the care care Groupon). Definitely a good deal! When I got my brakes checked (for free with the Groupon), the technician inspected the brakes and drove my car around their parking lot a few times. He then explained to me how they looked great to him, and that he's actually seen a lot of Ford Focuses from my year with squeaky brakes, but not to worry about it. He did the old "drive in reverse and pulse the brakes a few times" trick, which seemed to help subdue the squeaking a bit. I was worried going into the shop that they might try to use my free brake check as a means to claim something was terribly wrong with them, and was relieved to get an honest response out of them. This most recent time during my oil change, my battery cranking amps registered a little low on their test. Rather than try to push a new battery on me, the service lady said that it seemed a little low, but that it shouldn't be low due to its age and recommended talking to Ford since my car would still be under their standard warranty. I haven't had any experience with their sales department, so I can't comment on that aspect of their business at all. However, their service department is definitely worth considering based on my experiences there. read more

Went to get a tune up on my Audi. After about a few weeks my car started messing up. Took it back to them 3 times in the same day cause they wouldn't give me a proper diagnosis on what's wrong. Then Tuesday comes and they say it's all fixed just a bad ignition coil. That was a lie cause they didn't torque my spark plugs down. Charged me 415$ for a tune up but yet put the cheapest ignition coils in that keep burning out. Just went to 1st stop auto has to get car fixed right way had to pay 215.65$ for the issue and now they refuse to give me my 215.65$ back at Texas auto. Craige is this biggest Asshole u will have to deal with as well. Telling me if he gives me my refund and never come back but yet wants me to wait when he is good and ready. Watch out for these guys. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to sell you a car. They assured me that the SUV that I purchased was never wrecked or damaged. They stated that it went through a tremendous inspection and passed before selling it to me. Long story short. It had a defective headlight. It has been wrecked and has cost me several thousand dollars to repair the suspension. It leaks oil. That's also cost me a few thousand in repairs. Do you research before you buy. They are dishonest and they don't care once you take the vehicle. If anyone wants to get together and star a class action lawsuit against these guys, I am all for it. Sales representatives (I dealt with two) were very helpful. Very straightforward. I had the "typical" car buying experience where they'll work out the deal once you show up on the lot but resist details and commitments before you show up. But they were better at working things out in advanced than most, which I appreciated as it was 1.5 hours to the dealership. Only reason it isn't a 5 star rating is the $299 "dealer service fee" tacked onto the purchase which is in addition to the standard Texas $150 Documentary Fee. However it is still a 4 Star rating though because the $299 fee is clearly listed on their price protection certificate through TrueCar so they are not one to surprise you at the end with never mentioned fees. They worked with me, skipped most of the sales nonsense everyone dreads going through at the dealership, and moved quickly after the deal was concluded. WOW. Car shopping is usually one of my least favorite things to do, but these guys may have changed that... I kept seeing their vehicles showing up while I was searching on autotrader and decided to take a look at their website. I landed on Texasauto.com, and of over 600 vehicles to choose from a solid 90% were cars I'd love to own. I had been actively shopping since Harvey came through and flooded most of Houston, and experienced the usual car shopping experience all over town; people saying cars were still available just to get me on the lot, changing prices and marking stuff up once I was there, and of course the usual "buy or die" mentality hammering me with texts, phone calls and emails long after I made it clear they didn't have what I was looking to buy. Texas Auto is different- they were patient, super helpful and actually ended up helping me get a better rate than my aggressive credit union was offering. Their inventory looked and felt nicer and better cared for than anywhere else I had seen in town. I know I'll definitely be back- check them out if you're looking for your next car, truck or SUV. read more
