I have come here since I was a kid and have never had a negative experience. I'm 32 now and can say that I still enjoy bringing my family here. The food is good and reasonably priced. It is a very family friendly atmosphere with a lot of novelty items on the walls that add flare. The best way to describe it is the way Chili's used to be. Your always greeted with a smile and served popcorn while you browse the menu. They serve their drinks with bendy straws and fancy small cubes ice that just makes drinks taste better. We were in town for the Soccer State Cup. We had dinner here on the 1st night. We were a large group and quite disorganized. We asked that each family pay for their own meal. Several people were assigned to care for our group. The service was very good. They had a tremendous amount of patience and did go ahead and write up each order separately. The food was also very good. We come from very different backgrounds and have different likes/dislikes but all seem very pleased. I have no idea what the "popcorn" reviews are about. First of all the service was good. We got there about 7 on a tue & it wasn't busy. We ordered a porterhouse ($23) & a ribeye ($21) that took almost 45min to get to our table. When it arrived I noticed that there were multiple sets of grill marks on our steaks. I instantly figured the cook had no clue how to cook a steak medium rare because he kept flipping it when he shouldn't have. I don't know why it surprised me when I took a bite & realized it wasn't seasoned... Now I might be judging them too harshly because we normally go to The Broken Bit in Quartz Hill & not many steakhouses can compare but I still wouldnt recommend this place. I'm not a fan. Visited last night for my brothers birthday. We had the longhorn club and the chicken tex mex quesadilla. The club does NOT come with avocado so we added it at an extra $1.50. We had to search for it when it arrived and got a teenie tiny sliver of avocado on each half. Disappointing. The quesadilla was worse. Canned olives and canned ortega chiles with dry chicken on a quesadilla. No bueno. It was just not good. The flavors don't go together. Had to slather sour cream and salsa on it to get it down. Perhaps we should have ordered a steak since people comment that is good, but, based on this experience we are not likely to return unforced. Sad. One the bright side, I gave them an extra star for the salsa. They replaced the popcorn with chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. read more

The experience starts with the most amazing service ever and delicious popcorn. The hot wings are the best of anywhere j have ever had. I dare you to try the blue cheese dressing! I typically don't like blue cheese and this is the most amazing blue cheese I have ever had. Then our stunning main course arrived! My trip tip and chicken were cooked to perfection. Went today with my sister, her 2 kids and a friend. Told it was a 20 min wait for a table, which was fine. A man came by and asked if sitting in the bar area was ok. You bet. Except for Melissa, who works hard and was made to apologize repeatedly, the service sucked. Extremely slow. My nephew's food had to be sent back (cheese on a plain cheese quesadilla was not melted). Used to be a frequent customer of Texas Cattle Co. Food was always good. Service was always great. Recently had heard some complaints about the place with regard to service,especially for groups. Went there for a birthday party Thursday night. One would think that when reservations are made for a large group and the banquet or party room is going to be used, more than one server - and at the very least one dedicated solely to the group - would be assigned. Well, not so on this visit. For two of us who were part of the larger group, it was over 20 minutes to get 2 iced teas. Ordering was interesting. Delivering the food was even more interesting, but not enjoyable. Our sever had to "announce" or ask who had what as each item was brought out. Just the same for aligning most, not all (because she did remember a few), the checks. Food was OK, not super. Just that the service was sub-par. Despite the issues with the service being not great, at least the server remained friendly. read more

We rarely eat out in Lancaster for a good reason. That reason is "Wita" also known as "Mom". She's not my mother but I swear by her Mexican food. Before I get carried away and make a list of her culinary miracles, let's move on to my intended review for Texas Cattle Co. Texas Cattle Co. seems like an all American fastfood slash restaurant with this theme that I can only describe as cowboy-ish and Texas ranch-ish. I can see the effort but the end result is kinda cheesy. We ordered Pastrami Sandwich, Chicken Wings, French Dip and a cup of Clam Chowder. Chicken Wings had the right amount of heat but I think the cooked chicken was standing aside for hours before they combined it with the sauce. The sauce was a bit too salty. I liked their French Dip. They roast beef were tender and their bread was fresh. However their "au jus" is too salty even for me. My New England Clam Chowder was thick, creamy and........ salty. It was too salty that I wasn't able to finish my food. That is a first to me. I've always preferred more salt to my food but this is too much even for me. Not that I expected anything but this dining experience was disappointing. read more

My daughter in law ordered a steak Medium rare and it came out rare. She asked to have it cooked up a little more and the manager said they don't take steaks back to recook any longer. Had dinner again and we loved it. Our waitress was very friendly and was very understanding with my 17 month old kid. I had a patty melt that came with fries and a raspberry tea. Wow, this place is a GEM. After four solid dinner visits I can give this place a 5-star review without hesitation because of its consistency in service, quality of food, and taste of food. This is a REALLY good steakhouse serving up top-notch beef and this is coming from a guy who eats at Ruth's Chris at least once a week. My coworker and I were kind of shocked at how good the steaks are here that we haven't tried anything else on their menu but steaks since then. The RIBEYE at this place is its superstar; big, juicy, perfect grill marks, smoky charcoal flavor, and served with really good toast and the perfect baked potato (option to have bacon and cheese in it for extra). The service has always been quick and friendly and last night the owner came out to chat with us a bit. Parking's easy to find, portions are huge, and prices are really fair for the amount of food you get. This is one of those places where the mediocre reviews are undeserved. We stopped in because on line they say they offer gluten free options...but they DO NOT and when we asked they looked at us like we were from Mars. Friendly helpful staff. Decent food. The popcorn was nice and I love that the drinks are served in mugs with crushed ice. I had the Tex mex quesadilla with the beef barbacoa it was nice in flavor and big in size. I added a side of guacamole but was disappointed to find out it wasn't freshly made. So disappointed, this place is an overpriced sizzlers. First our nachos came out without sour cream and guacamole. On the menu it is listed. I had to ask the waitress for it. Her response was "oh they must have forgot, do you want me to bring some out?" SMH . The onion rings and fries were salty. My daugter had to ask twice for ranch and she finally brought it out when she was done eating. The waitress asked "how was everything?" And I responded honestly and her response "maybe next time ask for no seasoning on the onion rings and fries." We were charged extra for onion rings and my daughter didn't even it them. My daughter had a kids hamburger that was so dry and it was the bun, patty and pickles. I also had a .50 cent charge that said jack and when I asked her what the charge was for she said she didn't know. She also asked "do you want me to give you .50 cents back?" LoL well if you incorrectly charged me .50 cents ya, I want them back. I paid $71 for food we couldn't eat and bad service. Ken got the Brisket. He was not impressed. It was over cooked. He liked the sides and the chili bowl that came in a sour dough bowl. I got the French dip with Swiss cheese added on it. I loved it! 1st visit. Ordered Tri-tip bbq. The sauce was overpowering. Wife ordered top sirloin-had to send back because too much gristle in it. They brought another which is as ok. Garlic mashed potato side-served in a boring little cup and no taste with a sprinkle of cheese on it. Boring like in a mix. Wife had steamed veggies side-once again in a little white cup. No taste. Like out of bag of frozen veggies at Costco. Salad with my meal-wasn't chilled. Overall the food was boring. First and last visit. I am not a picky person, but even I didn't really sit up. Ate half my tri tip and didn't finish anything else. The garlic bread was ok and had a Guinness-that was ok. Their bar next door was closed and my wife noticed there weren't many cars in front. Yikes! For the $$ ($43and change), go to Scrambles, Lancaster or Denny's in Palmdale-not the ones in Lancaster. Oh, try Hibachi Grill in Palmdale. Less cost and better food. read more

It's a goofy cowboy place, but for a family dinner even with a big group it gets the job done. Definitely a place to take the kids for a decent meal that won't take too long. The staff is fast and competent and the food is solidly Good. Not spectacular, but really... it's pretty good. I usually get one of their large salads and my wife likes their burgers. The kids get a free popsicle or ice cream and everyone's happy. Beer selection is not outstanding if you are into Craft beer, but I've always found one worth drinking. read more
