Receptionists very rude and not at all friendly. We hope they get better. Because it's a clinic for children at least say good morning...

I have to start off by saying the attention and care here is disappointing. I used to take my kid to the southwest location but we moved up to Conroe and I was happy to finally have a closer pediatrics but I won't be coming back here I'll just drive the hour and a half back to Houston, if that means my child is better taken care of over there. I've come to this location twice for my toddlers check up and this was just not it. Ms.Rollys way of performing a wellness check up is just too quick?? And not in a good way. When she was checking her breathing im guessing to hear her lungs and all that she was going so quick to the point where im like can you even hear anything with how fast she was moving? The thing that ticked me off was that i asked if i could please get some Tylenol or ibuprofen prescribed because every single time she gets her shots she get sick and has fever for like a day or two and she told the nurse to tell me to just get it over the counter. I heard her say that she could prescribe it but I'm guessing she just didn't want to? It's little things that just don't sit right with me, even when I was asking her a question she didn't look at me I felt like I was an inconvenience by being there, like I'm sorry I had to come? Dr.McPherson is AMAZING ! Hurricane Beryl hit and damaged our home so we've been staying with family in Montgomery. Our 1 month old developed a dry cough and was a bit congested from being in a different house and the staff got us in the same morning that I called.. we arrived 10min early and got sent to the room right away.. We normally go to the location on 2920 and I've never been disappointed by either location ! As new parents we're so worried about illness and being in new surroundings with the baby and we felt so reassured and comfortable going to this office.. Thank you Dr.McPherson & Staff !! When the hubby and I move to Conroe next month we WILL be back to this location :) read more

THIS IS NOT ABOUT DOCTOR MAC. Dr McPherson is my favorite doctor in Conroe. All three of my boys have been seen by Dr Mac since they were BORN. The oldest is now 21. During COVID it was almost impossible to get in, so we started doing physicals and illness and such at the small clinics. Now that my second one is supposed to start college I find out that they DROPPED all of my kids after 21 years of being their doctors office. They refused to talk to their doctor about reinstating them JUST so I could get their shots records and updates for college. I called and now that he is 18. (Literally the week of his birthday) I CANNOT CHECK HIS RECORDS or even access the MyChart anymore so now he has to figure out how to be an adult in one day instead of the gentler process we had with our oldest. Now they're sounding snide about it "being so long since he had been to the doctor" which of COURSE they have been to doctors. They are the ones who practically shut down for over a year for COVID (no big deal, COVID sucked for everybody) it doesn't mean that I'm a bad parent?! He was already Anxious being away from home and dealing with an entire new world. I've raised them well but it's just a few days of adulthood. So come on. So then.. I called the Austin location because he was in Austin at the college without a vehicle and THEY were kind enough to offer to fax it to them. By that point my kid was able to get onto Mychart with the help of another sweetheart at the MyChart texas children's office. Now WHY did my local office.... Who my kids have seen for 21 years?! WHY was it so easy for everyone else to help us?! Act like that couldn't be done? I really hope that someone gives them a hard time for something so important in their future. read more

You know I'm back for another review of this facility. I was given a notice of termination with a thirty day period to still go to their facility (not that I would after my last visit) mind you today is the 18th. The letter is dated the 3/2/2022. Signed and dated by the pediatrician. Thirty days after the second to still go to facility. The stamp of when it was mailed is dated March 15th. Letter was received in three days. On a Friday afternoon. You know I'd be upset if I didn't already find a pediatrician at a better location (NOT HERE) because this facility would have left me with less than two weeks to be seen. Without a doubt that would have been impossible because remember it takes months to be seen by pediatricians here. I recommend going to somewhere that makes children a priority. read more

Well I've never heard of such stupidity and been treated so disrespectful and inappropriately from a Clinic/doctors office as I was just now from Texas Children's Pediatrics Conroe office. Majority of Payton's vaccines have been done there and we have the record but it needs signed from a doctor for college. THEY WON'T SIGN IT. ‍ He hasn't been seen there since 2019 and would have to be considered a new patient in order for them to sign it. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL...? So as I'm trying to understand this, she puts me on hold and never comes back. I call back and no one will answer. I've heard tons of complaints with that location and now this is mine. I'd take my kid somewhere else if I had to do it all again. Terrible service and ridiculous "policy." read more

Doctor is absolutely amazing but if you want check ups on time or even your child's regular appointment to be less than an hour, i do not recommend. We are always waiting and the doctors are taking on so many patience they don't have time for their old patients. Example: My child's 1year old check up, which he gets shots at we tried to make it at his 9 month check up and they told us to wait it out bc our doctor was booked and there may be openings closer to that day they just can't see it on there computers, fast forward to his birthday month i try to schedule his appointment because immunizations should be done on time, we'll they're booked till November or December so they told us to just call everyday to see if there's any cancellations. Ridiculous but we call and the nurse Kim doesn't even ask who our doctor is just tells us no and hangs up. So that's awful customer service. read more

Welp, here goes. I hate writing bad reviews especially when it effects my future preferences. I have been using Dr Prihoda for 7 years now and couldn't have asked for a better Doctor for my baby boy. However, for emergency visits I always end up with the nurse practitioner and each time left very disappointed. This last time draws the line and I'm strongly considering switching to Texas Childrens in the Woodlands. Luckily the front office was able to get me in within 20 mInutes from the time I called and we didn't end up waiting that long in the lobby. Finally Amy comes in and explains to me my son has caught the stomach bug. My son spent the whole office visit throwing up and passing out from hIs fever. The only thing she does is tell me to give him the zofran she prescribes and give him Gatorade tsp at a time. As she leaves I'm trying to wake my son and he immediately starts vomiting and choking. As I'm trying to console hIm and hold his puke bag I overhear her tell her assistant to hurry and get that room cleaned. Her assistant tells her that we are still In there and her response "well they shouldn't, I'm already done in there." Even that wasn't enough for me to say forget this place, here's what did: After all her diagnosis she fails to tell me not to give my son Motrin (that it will only make the kidneys worse), that I need to be making sure he is drinking as well as peeing , to look for the color of the urine to prevent kidney problems , or how long this should last. I understand I should be asking those questions, but when my whole world is looking at me crying for me to make it stop, I go into mama bear mode not journalist mode. A good doctor should answer all your question without you even having to ask. That's why it's going to be hard for me to leave Dr. Prihoda, because she has always take such good care of us. However, the doctors here at the woodlands location have restored my faith in Texas Childrens Hospitals. We couldn't have brought our son to a better place for recovery. We have been here a week now and they have taken such good care of my boy. The doctors have personally brought him gifts for his bday (3 to be exact) and have explained anything and everything to me and most of the time withou lt even having to be asked! They have made this scared mama bear feel happy again. read more

We have been going to this location for 9 years and have never had a bad experience. If we cannot get into see our preferred doctor the PA, Amy can bee seen and she is amazing. We are those people that always make our appointment at the last minute but have only had one time where we could not be seen as they were totally booked. read more

Our appointment was at 11:00.. it is now 12:30 and we still haven't seen the DR. This is ridiculous. First time coming here- we normally go to the woodlands. I'll be calling around finding a new dr for our next appointment. read more

Took my daughter to be seen for upper respiratory infection. Dr went on and on about covid vaccination that we refused to do. was sent away and was told to buy meds over the counter. 15 years going here. never again. read more

We have used this office since my first son was born over three years ago. We personally use Dr. Prihoda but have also used other doctors within the office and have NEVER been disappointed. Wait times are minimal, the nurses call back or respond via MyChart promptly and, if I call with a sick kiddo, they always seem to get us in. The staff is knowledgeable and very caring. I have tried another Texas Children's Office due to convenience only one time and immediately regretted. This office is amazing and will always be my first choice in care for my children! read more

The front desk is always friendly. It's not easy to get an appointment if you like to call because it can be a long wait, but they can usually work you in quickly with a sick kid. Doctors are good! read more

The staff is very professional and courteous they care for my child's wellbeing can get appointment pretty quickly and if I call to late to get in I can always see the after hours clinic. read more

We called to set up a wellness exam and confirmed that our insurance would cover all cost of the exam. The office was very clear that it was a wellness exam. At the exam, the doctor asked questions and we answered those questions. The office changed the visit to a sick visit for billing purposes. Guess they teach the doctors to ask the right questions so we have to pay more. This is a very dishonest practice. If you call and set up a wellness exam they should only do what is asked, not initiate additional questions so they can bill you more. Because of the dishonest practices of this exam I have to pay $130 out of my own pocket. Would definitely recommend looking for a place that cares about its patients not just their money. read more
