We've always patronized Texas Children's Pediatrics. We recently switched from the Kirby location to the Cinco Ranch location. Two reasons being the distance as well as switching from a male pediatrician to a female doctor. When we arrived, the office was clean and well lit, nicely decorated for the kiddos too. The staff was very welcoming and put us at ease. The lady who checked us in also helped us with signing up for MyChart. It's a convenient way to view and print out your child's medical records, shot records and to make appointments. So Sarah was the nurse that walked us in to our appointment. She was sweet to my daughter and did the weigh in, height check and vision exam. She had a relaxed demeanor which was a positive because it made my child more comfortable. She was nervous because she knew this appointment she would be getting several immunizations. Dr Wang is a gracious pediatrician that I definitely recommend. She is warm and accommodating to her patients. She knew my daughter was still a bit nervous but it went away during the course of the physical. Dr Wang was totally understanding and kept up the pace of conversation with my chatty kid. She also answered some concerns that I had and also spoke at length about the immunizations that my daughter was going to receive. There was also a nurse practitioner in training present. They ask for your permission to allow these people in training to be present at your appointment. I think it's a great thing because people have to learn. The nurse came back to administer the shots and was pretty quick administering them. The entire appointment was thorough and my impression is that the staff cares about their patients. Anyways, the atmosphere was a positive one and I am so pleased that we decided to go to this particular branch of Texas Children's Pediatrics. Totally recommend Dr Wang. read more

A nice bed side manner for panicked parents goes along way when your baby has 104 fever. My guest from out of state had a disgusting experience. Do better you are a CHILDRENS hospital a doctor/staff giving the "dont care" attitude is not ok. A simple "i know your worried about the high fever but let me explain why we are sending her home etc etc etc" we didnt tell you to work in the ER or in your profession that was your choice, be better caring human beings. This has always been a great place for years but I'm not sure what happened to management for such a decline in service.... I was on the phone for over 20 minutes twice just holding for someone to answer. Today I called again at 8:20 ish am and no one answer the phone, it says the office is closed when it opens at 8am. Not professional at all. I tried several times and close to 8:30am I got the automated system and it's 8:45am I'm hoping I get picked up soon. I hope their service improves soon to what it used to be. We will miss Dr. Gonzalez who has moved offices and has been our only pediatrician for nearly 10 years now. read more

I have been taking my daughter since we moved to Texas when she was 3yrs. Dr. Wang is excellent she is very thorough with my daughter check ups and always answers and questions that I may have in regards to her health and asthma. Dr. Chen is our other go to Dr. when Dr. Wang is not available. I would recommend both to anyone that is looking for a good Dr. The staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

Associated with Texas children's , my daughter has never had a bad visit. Through countless catheters as a baby to disease state explanations, we've had nothing but excellent care. Since they are wired in to TCH, your records are set for specialist visits as well. I highly recommend Dr Michael Wexler, and have in occasion seen Dr Chen, who is also very knowledgeable (but might need more bedside manner). read more

This TX Children's location is amazing! Over the years, with moving and all, we have been to a lot of their locations. This one is the best in my opinion, by far. We see either Dr. Neumann or Dr. Black and we love them both! I think the staff is friendly and professional. I will say the hold times are long but I'm not sure I can blame that on them, call volumes are high bc it's Texas children's. They manage this place well and overall I'm always very happy with the care!! read more

Dr. Shah is an INCREDIBLE pediatrician! I have seen her since I was born and just had my final 18 year old check up. Not only did she take great care of my health, she is so genuine and caring. It's rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. My children have seen various doctors from this office, first with Dr. Wexler, who is possibly the oldest of the group and has the most experience in pediatric care but also tends to "play down" on parent concerns. Then Dr. Clark who's no longer with the group, for the longest stretch of time. We miss him dearly for his ability to explain things, his caring atitude and patience. Yesterday my son saw Dr. Black for the first time who was kind, soft spoken, and fast to follow-up after sending my son to Texas Children Hospital for X-rays. He called me with results and recommendations on the same afternoon. His degree of care and responsivenss was impressive. The reason I rate this office 3 out of 5 stars is because of the way it manages time of the patients. Our appointment was 9:40 AM but we didn't see the doctor until 10:55 AM, an hour and 15 minutes later! This is not the first time that we had to wait this long. Way back in 2003 when we first started with this office, we not only had to wait for a long time but we also had to deal with rude receptionists. Every time we visited the office we thought to ourselves about changing to a different office altogether but never did only because ah, being too lazy! Each doctor seems to have four staging rooms so even when you are called in, there's still another 20 to 30 more minutes before the doctor comes to you. This is the part that angers me every time. The message that we get from the office is that patients' time has no value. Don't they realize that parents who take their children to them have other business to tend to also? Why do they schedule several patients so closely together, if not on the same time slot? Why can't they allot each patient with more time to reduce waiting time? One good final note...Yesterday I noticed the office has been rennovated beautifully and staffed with new faces in the front office. These new ladies were very cheerful, courteous and helpful. At least we didn't have to deal with rude people! read more

Dr Black and staff are always very accommodating and never leave us waiting. The things I appreciate most are a separate area for newborns to wait to keep them away from the general population in the lobby and their affiliation with Texas Children's. read more

Don't bring sick kids here!! Used to be good but service has dropped. They wouldn't see my son because it had been over a year since his last visit. I can't help my son doesn't get sick often. What does it matter anyway? Told me to go to the er instead. He had a fever and was lethargic. All I wanted was a checkup and antibiotics. I found someone else who could fit me in. read more

They made me wait two hours for what was suppose to be a wellness visit. But in return they only did a physical and said I have to reschedule for the shots due to miscommunication. What a waste of time. The doctor told me the long wait in the exam room was due to the fact that I was a new patient. If that's how you treat your new patients then how are you still in business? It is really sad how you can have such a great team in the back office, consistently brought down by the disorder and attitudes of the front office. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Mammen and Dr. Davis, both of these ladies are phenomenal when it comes to the care of my children. I would recommend them to any and everyone, BUT i do warn you....DO NOT expect the same type of service from the front office. The ladies that handle the appointments are not only rude, but they never have a same day appt for a sick child. Oh and FORGET about trying to have records sent in a timely manner, it took them THREE weeks to fax a letter to my childs school about a simple allergy, BUT only after calling a ridiculous amount of times! read more

My daughter has gone to TCPA Katy since day one, she is now 10 yrs old. We see Dr. Gonzalez and have always loved him. He is kind, he is knowledgeable and he seems to truly care about his patients. My daughter has asthma, under control, we see the doctor for her yearly well check ups and we discuss her asthma after the yearly physical. I got a call from this office asking if Dr. Gonzalez could call and do a quick check in on my daughter for her asthma. I agreed and Dr. Gonzalez called me and we spoke for a couple of minutes. My daughter is fine and needed no medications. The doctor was also aware that her birthday was approaching the next month and we would be coming in for a check up, he mentioned this to me on the phone. I got a bill from that office for $105 for that phone call. I recently changed insurance so they did not have the information to bill so that bill came to me. I was outraged that a Doctor would charge $105 for a phone call, that was suppose to be out of the kindness of his heart wanting to check in on his patients. I would have refused that call if I knew they would charge for such a thing. I called and spoke with an office manager and let me know that many parents were upset and shocked when they got this bill but this is the standard charge. Wrong, I have asked around, only TCPA. It is not about the $105, well it is but, the real thing that upsets me is that this office, this man they are making money in time when people are struggling to keep businesses open. We are quarantining at home, we are living in a world where everything in uncertain, we are scared to death that our children are going to get sick. Our Doctors should be our shining light, our protectors and for him to call me and make me feel safe, and that he was looking out for my daughter and turn around and try to make a buck is outrageous. I am truly more hurt than mad, the man that has taken such good care of my child for 10 years has turned on his patients so he can make more money. Don't fall for this, if you get a call from TCPA they do not care about you, they want your money. read more

I HAD been going to this doctors office for 12 years. It has gone down hill fast!! The front desk is so rude and don't even greet you with a hello much less a smile. Dr. Fotouh is the only one in the office that seems to care. The room techs are in and out with barely an explanation of why you are here. I just think they have too many patients and not enough tech help. When the office was smaller it was great. I went in not to long ago to have a paper filled out for school on PRIOR information and they wouldn't fill it put because my 12yo was past due for an exam. They dropped my insurance last year so we were forced to go elsewhere but they still had the previous records. So I had to explain the situation to the school and had to delay testing. So sad this place has gone down hill so much pretty much due to staff. read more
