There is a four hour wait before being seen and you have to wait in your car. You have 5 minutes to come in once receiving their text message or your appointment is canceled. Even with the 4 hour wait you can't leave and come back. You can only sit in your car. The main issue is they incorrectly diagnosed as covid when it was strep. They even had the strep test come back as positive. When I went back there they wouldn't change the document. They told me the providers, which were the only ones who could change it, were too busy. Norma from there was unfriendly and didn't help resolve the situation. I was advised everyone who gets a covid test is diagnosed with covid in order for insurance to pay it. Very disappointed all the way around. There was no resolution and the whole time talking to Norma she had an "I don't care" kind of attitude. read more

My husband brought our son here Tuesday evening for complaints of cough, congestion, ear pain and fever. They were sent home after the dr that saw him stated that "everything looks clear". We ended up taking him to his pediatrician the next morning, 15 hours later, and he was diagnosed with double ear infection. We asked his pediatrician if this could have just shown up over night and he stated "that with the amount of drainage, redness and swelling in both ears that it was highly unlikely". Our son suffered another night because this urgent care missed the diagnosis of double ear infection. He is on antibiotics thanks to his pediatrician and starting to feel better. This is beyond frustrating as a parent when your little one isn't feeling well. I have reached out to the clinic to resolve the issue multiple times and no one is returning my call or email. read more

I brought my toddler to NightLight because her pediatrician was on vacation. The lobby was clean and inviting. Tina was welcoming and friendly. I also appreciated the decor and the activities available to keep the little ones occupied while we waited. The nurses (Shametra and Erica) and Dr. Owens were spectacular with my daughter. They showed her the tools that they were going to use on her and modeled on her hand how the tools were harmless. This put my baby at ease. During the visit, we had to irrigate her ears. The nurses, myself, and my husband had to hold my daughter down so she wouldn't move her head around. Of course, she wasn't having it. But I noticed as we were holding her, that Shametra was stroking my baby's head to comfort her. That small gesture meant the world to me. I was very satisfied with my daughter's visit. I brought my 5 month old daughter here Friday night due to her wheezing. She ended up having stridor infection. The doctor gave her a steroid by mouth and told me she would send a prescription for the albuterol to my pharmacy. Before we left the nurse handed me a nebulizer and my discharge sheet. I confirmed with the nurse if the prescription was called in or would I need to take it myself and she told me it would be called into my pharmacy on file, which they confirmed it when I was in the room. I planned to get the prescription the following day (sat) because we did the breathing already in the room with the nurse. So Saturday morning I go and pick up the prescription and they said there was nothing under my daughters name. I called the urgent care once they opened up and I was transferred to the lab, no answered so I left a voicemail. I called back to see how long it would take for a call back about the prescription, the front lady who answered said by tonight (sat). Few hours later and still no call back. So I call again Sunday and still sent to leave a vm. This time I called the front and told them that no one was returning my call about the prescription I needed! She wrote down my name and daughters information on a sticky and she she would give it to the head nurse and assured me I would get a call back by the end of the day. Still no call back! Luckily I had the same meds left over from when my son had to use the breathing treatment or I would of been screwed. Still never got a call on Sunday or Monday. On Monday I called my daughters pediatrician and she wrote the script I needed. But I will never ever go to this urgent care ever again!!! What if I didn't have the extra medicine from the past? Completely unprofessional and complete laziness from this company. You are dealing with children's health! read more

Where was this place when my son was a lil munchkin?!?!? This place rocks! My little nephew wasn't feeling too good today & a fellow Yelper recommended NightLight to my sister. They accept walk ins, but you may also "check-in" online which is pretty cool. The very 1st thing I noticed when we sat down was how extremely clean this place is, like spotless. Not too easy when you've got a waiting room full of kids & some aren't feeling well. There were quite a few families there, but our wait wasn't long at all. The ladies working the front desk were very nice and kept things moving. The physician who examined the lil guy had excellent bedside manner. He was quick, but very thorough and gladly answered all my sister's questions. When you're dealing with a sick 2 month old, the last thing ya need is a rude doctor that's rushing you out the door. For this to be an urgent care facility, I was pleasantly surprised by the great service. I have way longer waits at my son's PCP. In my year of working here, I got to work first-hand with some amazing pediatricians in an environment that is both professional and kid-friendly. Some notes about NightLight: * NightLight Pediatrics is an after-hours clinic (5pm-11pm on weekdays, noon-7pm on weekends & holidays, 365 days a year), so their primary function is a back-up in case your primary physician is not available. NightLight keeps close contact with your primary physician so they will always be up-to-date with your child's heath. * Does not take appointments, so just walk in! * Since this is a pediatric clinic, NightLight can only see patients under 18. * NightLight accepts most insurance (Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, Humana, Texas Children's CHIP, etc - see their website for the full list). However, the *ONLY* form of Medicaid they accept is Texas Children's. You can also expect to pay the "Specialist" or "Urgent Care" rate, depending on your insurance. * Since NightLight doctors do not know your child as well as their primary physicians, they are *NOT* authorized to give out medical advice over the phone. Let me just tell you how satisfied and amazed by the team at Nightlight Clinic. Took my daughter in after days of having worsening issues from a Tuesday trip to her normal pediatrician. Pediatrician claims she didn't need a antibiotic but my toddler continued to worsen. Talked to the nurse and she recommend that I take my daughter to Nightlight Clinic. Nightlight opens at Noon on Saturday and I was the first patient in. No appointments and no waiting. Receptionist was friendly and attentive. The decor was beautiful and nice little touches all over the place. The medical assistant was friendly and also attentive. The person who made this trip just Amazing was Dr William Ba Chu. This doctor looks young but don't let that throw you off. He was AMAZING with my daughter. He conversed with her and not once did she cry in his presence during examination. He came to a quick (but not hasty) conclusion after listening to her lungs that she had walking pneumonia and had the prescription faxed over immediately. He conversed with me and made it an office visit and not just a "up and go" which I appreciated. Never have I had a doctor be as attentive, sweet, and kind as Dr. Chu. My toddler sees several doctors due to her condition and I am just proud to have met Dr. Chu at Nightlight Clinic. Hopefully, we won't be seeing them soon but if you have to go to a after clinic location, this is the place. read more

My daughter had symptoms of a staph infection so we took her in at 10:30 after checking in online. Within five minutes of arriving she was getting her vitals taken and put into a room. The doctor came in was very professional and help calm her down before she worked on a staph infection. We were in and out in 15 minutes and even had a prescription to go to the pharmacy and pick up immediately after. Both times I have been to this location everyone is very courteous and professional and they definitely cater to kids. Are two year old loves the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling of the front room! Obviously are primary care pediatrician is the first choice but when they are closed we will definitely go to Night Lite Pediatrics. read more

My only complaint is that I wish they were open later. They currently close at 11pm. My kids are notorious for getting sick late in the evenings (with sneaky ear infections) or after office hours on the weekends (with anything else!). I am so grateful for Night Light Pediatrics! I've taken my kids there MANY times and have always left feeling like the MD or nurse practitioner has given a thorough evaluation before diagnosis. They are affiliated somehow with Texas Children's Pediatrics, so the documentation goes directly to my children's pediatrician without me having to worry about it. That is a huge burden off my shoulders, especially when it comes to having to return to the primary doctor for a follow up. The waiting room - as well as the exam rooms - are very kid and family friendly since they are a pediatric urgent care. Don't waste your time or money taking your kids to a regular urgent care. Their way with kids is impressive and the location couldn't be more convenient. Night Light is walk-in only, so arrive right when they open if you want to be seen immediately but don't think your child requires ER assistance. read more

Diagnosed my son with the flu without giving him a flu test ( I asked about the flu test and he said Texas has a shortage of flu test bs) prescribed him with tamiflu didn't even check his breathing or ears to see if it was a possible ear infection. Receptionist was rude & inconsiderate. Nurses: Melissa was ok, just "doing the job" started to take my daughters vitals, luckily Adam hopped in and asked to take over. Very kind, caring, and patient enough to tell my daughter a few jokes, just to see her laugh( having a fever of 104) after taking us to our room, he offered water and informed us of the wait time. At the exact hour of being there, Dr. Patel came in. Very direct and knowledgable, didn't take more than 5 minutes to diagnose with an ear infection. Prescribed antibiotics that would be sent to the closest 24 hr. Pharmacy automatically. When I went to the pharmacy, had yet to be sent, called the clinic and the rude receptionist answer declaring that it was sent and nothing else can be done. I drove back to the clinic and requested the prescription to take it myself. Adam was still smiling and said he's ready for more kids, the receptionist said - "ugh be careful for what u wish for" Melissa came up with the prescription carelessly handing it over saying , "don't know what happened, here u go" Customer Service is not the best, the important part is that Dr.Patel was knowledgable enough to have a cure for my 5 yr old. My son's normal pediatrician is closed on Sunday's and it's nearly impossible to get an appointment on Saturdays. My son had the flu which came on very quickly, temp of 104! I got there around 11:30 Am on a Sunday. I was a little worried because there were already 8 other children in the waiting room. We were only waiting for 20 minutes before getting in a room and 10 minutes in the room. This is AMAZING for Urgent Care. I wait that long at our normal pediatrician's office. I am very satisfied with their customer service and the NP was very kind and educational. I definitely urge you to take your children their if you are worried on the weekend or at night and can't make it to the doctor. Much better than the ER. read more

I have been here twice. Both times, there diagnosis was wrong. My 2 year old had a fever that occurred out of nowhere and our doctor's office was already closed so we decided to go here instead of the expensive ER. When they checked him, he had a temp and they told us that he had an ear infection. I didn't think he had an ear infection because he was not pulling on his ears. They prescribed antibiotics for him. I got the antibiotics but I did not give it because I suspected he did not have an ear infection. The next morning, I took him to the ENT doctor to make sure it was an ear infection. The ENT doctor said he did not have an ear infection. He just had dirty ears. I'm glad I did not give the antibiotics when he had no need for it. Another occurrence happened with my other child. He sounded like he had croup or stridor, so we took him here because our doctors office was already closed and it was late. They checked his lungs and ears. Again, they said he had an ear infection in both ears. I was not convinced about the ears because again he was not pulling on his ears. He had congestion that I know. But they were not concerned about that. They were only concerned about his ears. I said we have albuterol at home. So they only prescribed antibiotics for his ears. So the next day, I went to our pediatric doc and he checked his ears. Again, he did not have any ear infection. This place just gives antibiotics for no reason. They did not do a flu test, RSV test, or any other test to check and confirm a diagnosis. I would be hesitant to come here. Yes, the ERs are expensive also. So I would try to find another place that is better. Sounds like they have a motto of- If they look sick, then give them antibiotics. Because antibiotics kills everything right? If you are in doubt, get a second opinion. read more

Night Light highly recommended to us by an RN, I can see why. The staff was caring, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.. and flexible, they suggested a catheter for my 2-1/2 year girl as they needed a sample to test for a bladder infection. But I kindly declined and they understood, were very cooperative and gave me a test kit to take home. We hardly had to wait at all, the paperwork was very easy and reasonable. The online reservation is wonderful. There was about a 5 minute wait when I got there. Which is MUCH better than a 2-3 hour wait at Childrens hospitals!! The staff was kind and patient. The doctor was very kind when my son started projectile vomiting in the patient room. She patted him on the back and told him it would be ok. They didn't make us stay in the room, like they have in the ER. They put us in a clean room while they closed that room for cleaning.
