A fun and unique experience with so many options of meat. The salad bar had a huge selection with several unique and tasty options. The couscous and roasted garlic were our favorites. I also really enjoyed that Brazilian cheese bread the pallet cleansing bananas they bring were also delicious however we found the majority of the meats either overcooked or over seasoned. To me the bacon wrapped chicken was the star of the show. It was delicious especially when mixed with the Caesar salad. So for my wife this was the first time eating at such establishment. I have done this type meal in several places out west and knew what to expect. I gave three stars but I am still not sure that rating is deserving. So for the good: 1. The individual servers bringing the meat around were very nice and made sure we had plenty. 2. The various forms os steak had great flavor and taste. 3. Food/salad bar was well rounded and included all the right items. It was a nice touch with some over the top items as well Now for the bad: 1. Our waitress seemed to care less about us. No offer on refills for drink. 2. The offer for desert was in the form of passing by. No bringing out the tray and explaining the various types. 3. At one point our waitress disappeared for over 30 minutes. The real bad- 1. In speaking with the manager we received a half hearted apology. 2. We had an offer from Texas de Brazil that was not honored. 3. When talking with the manager she gave some half hearted excuse but let's be honest she could have done more as she was the manager? Came here at opening time on a Friday. Got seated right away. The restaurant was very clean and the employees were friendly. This was a tail of two dining experiences. During the first 30 minutes food came so fast, we were turning multiple servers away. Then when the restaurant got busy, we kept waiting for food. The waitress came by and asked what types of meats we wanted. Those meats never came. We were offered some chicken, pork and lamb, but not the cuts we wanted. Kinda sad that the steak the restaurant is known for, pichana, was offered only once in over one hour. Same with the flank steak. The shrimp skewers never came to us. There was some consistency issues with the meats. I got two of the bacon wrapped filet. Both were tough. While my wife's were good. Some of the sirloin was also tough. Drove from Mobile to visit scottsboro, and because it's my father in laws birthday we decided to celebrate his birthday at the as de Brazil since he is from Brazil. We came with a party of 7 to celebrate his birthday, we spoke to the server that we were celebrating his birthday he said ok. At the beginning we were getting some of the meats served to us, then all of a sudden I believe a large group of people arrived and ear service stopped. Nobody came to our table for about 20 minutes, other table around us were waiting as well. I had to speak to a manager to tell him about the service, then the food started to come but I should t had to ask the manager about the service. The food should continue to come. after the food started to come, it got a little better, and then the we were asked to bring the bill. we then asked if they could sing happy birthday to my father in law and they said that it's their policy and they don't do that. I understand that, we then asked about the dessert and he said that they don't offer birthday dessert either. Because of the inconvenience of not serving us food for about 20 minutes they could have at least offered a free dessert but they didn't. Very disappointed with the service provided, I have been to Texas de Brazil in Texas, Birmingham and this one in Huntsville and we were not satisfied at all. Been a fan of Brazilian style steakhouse and first time trying this chain. The restaurant was clean and very busy on this evening especially with what appeared to be several proms happening in the area. Food was plentiful as you expect from a Brazilian steakhouse. I will say the seasoning and flavors were spot on, but did have issues getting the doneness that was preferred, I believe a lot of this was do being seated at the end of the circuit the servers take to serve the food and so we were passed by several times or received over cooked meat. Still would love to try it again and see if they couldn't get it perfect! read more

Over the years, I have been here numerous times and as I've mentioned, I've always had excellent service at the bar, and enjoyed their house wine as a short shopping break alone, or with various friends. The bar appetizers, although not varied, are good, and the service and patrons are friendly! Our family visit post-nephew's high school graduation was less than stellar, however. One of my sister's and I avoid red meat and also do not have large appetites. Post high school graduation she and I ate a light-ish dinner at Kona around the corner in Bridge Street, and wanted to join the family at Texas de Brazil for family time and to congratulate my nephew on his accomplishment -- sounds like a good plan, or so we certainly thought! When we joined our family at Texas de Brazil, I made it clear to our server my sister and I would be on one check, separate from the main party, and that we were not there to eat, did not need plates, and were only having beverages. I had a glass of white wine and sister had iced tea. Period. Well, I may have had a second glass of vino. When our check came, we were charged full price, as if each of us had eaten dinner there. It took me forever to get a. to speak to the manager and b. to get him to remove the errant charges from my bill. Also, he never offered an apology. Other than that glitch, which my family didn't know about [who wants to be a joy killer at a celebration??], the family's service seemed good, and my nephew enjoyed really chowing out on what appeared to be some delicious meats and sides. We went for an early Valentines meal last night. Our server was great. She kept our drinks refilled. But the guys bringing around the meat were not consistent. They always brought meat to the same tables. We were skipped multiple times. Our server did notice and had them bring us meats at one point (she could tell we were not happy). The FOOD! The food was so good and the quality was 100%. The salad bar is one of the most unique and quality-deliciousness I've ever seen and tasted (get an extra plate for the meat while you're at the salad bar.) I especially loved the lamb. When the victuals server came by with the fillet mignon, I told him, "I was waiting on the lamb guy." Within seconds he came back with the lamb. The best lamb I've ever had in my life!! I sent this to corporate first but after 8 days and no response I'll post it here. To TDB customer service, I wanted to share my recent experience at TDB on Thanksgiving, and while I do understand that the holiday is a tough one for the staff, I feel like it's important to speak up. We were those people who decided to eat out, hoping to make the server's (who we know from other restaurants) day a little easier, enjoy familiar faces, and avoid cooking. It's a place we've always loved, especially my 8-year-old, so we had high expectations. Unfortunately, this year's Thanksgiving dinner was a huge letdown. We had a reservation, but still ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated. I don't mind a short wait, but when it's that long despite a reservation, it's frustrating. While waiting at the bar, I had to ask for more ice in my margarita, and when I got my Old Fashioned, I was surprised to see a maraschino cherry in it--at $16, I expected better. The bar service wasn't great either, and I had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. The restaurant felt chaotic. There were tables piled high with plates, that clearly hadn't been cleared or reset, and the staff was obviously overwhelmed. From the bar to the bathrooms, it seemed like the restaurant was just not keeping up with the demand. The staff definitely needed more help--this was obvious to anyone paying attention. When I asked the young lady with the headband if the host ever stepped in to help during busy times, she laughed and said, "Who, me? Oh no, I don't do that." Honestly, her attitude was dismissive and rude, and she shouldn't be the first person customers interact with. I overheard some complaints from the staff about not being fed by management, and by 4 PM on Thanksgiving, that's just not acceptable. As for the food, waiting an hour for rice was beyond frustrating, and receiving raw chicken was completely unacceptable. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was another issue--it just felt dirty. I understand it's a busy day, but it seemed like the restaurant was completely unprepared for the rush. The staff was clearly overworked, and while I sympathize with that, the overall experience just didn't meet the standards we've come to expect from TDB. At these price points, it's not unreasonable to expect better service, cleaner facilities, and properly cooked food. Here's my suggestion: Set a reasonable expectations, limit the number of Holiday reservations, and make sure there's enough staff to accommodate guests without overwhelming them. Set clear expectations for table times, maybe 2 hour max and make sure both guests and staff are treated with respect. I really hope this feedback helps the company understand where things went wrong and makes room for improvement, because I know TDB can do better. read more

My wife and I were very disappointed with our visit on August 2, 2025. We were genuinely excited when we made the reservation, having had a great experience there a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short. While we were seated promptly and visited the salad and sides bar, it took more than 20 minutes before the first passador approached our table with any meats. We received two selections--Brazilian sausage and Parmesan chicken, both of which were very good--but then waited another 10-15 minutes before another passador came by. Although we could see them working the floor, they appeared to be actively avoiding our table for the first hour. At one point, I made eye contact with a waiter and began raising my hand to signal him, only to watch him turn abruptly and walk the other direction. Our service coaster remained green the entire time. We had allotted an hour and 45 minutes to eat before heading next door for a movie, but due to the lack of attention, we ended up filling up on sides. After more than an hour with minimal meat service, I asked for the check. Our waitress didn't return for 15 minutes, so I handed my card and bill directly to a manager. Even then, it took another 15 minutes to receive the check to sign. We could see her walking around with it in her pocket. Ironically, once our coaster was turned to red and our napkins were on our plates, the passadors began stopping by regularly. We had more visits in those final 15-20 minutes waiting for the bill than we did during our entire first hour. This would be frustrating at any price point, but it's unacceptable for a $125 meal (before tip). I don't blame our waitress--she appeared overextended--but the overall experience gave the impression that they deliberately hold back meat service to get guests to fill up on sides. Out of all the sides, salad bar was picked over and items missing. Chaotic atmosphere, people unhappy and yelling up front and back of house wasn't cooking meat properly. I've been to many Brazilian steakhouses and I expect a medium rare but I don't expect the animal to still have a pulse. Despite being a large table we were barely waited on and instead of offering any help at all and our family being very pleasant and considerate of everyone. If we were told before we were already seated that half the items were gone already we would have gone somewhere else. We came here for a late afternoon lunch on Christmas Eve. It's located in Bridge street, right next to the cinemas. So we came and watched a movie and then went to eat. Reservations are highly recommended to ensure you can get a table. I used open table to reserve several weeks ago. When you walk in you will notice the decor and the delicious smells. We were quickly seated and served. We both tried one of their caprihanas. I got the coconuts one and my husband got the original. They were really good. The salad bar is full of goodies that will quickly fill you up before the meats even start coming, so don't over do the salad bar. They have a good variety of meat that comes around. I was disappointed they no longer serve the rack of lamb and told us we could pay extra for 4 or 8 of them. When you're already laying about $40-$50 per person for the meal, which is supposed to be all the meats, I think charging extra is a bit much. Very bad experience.. I should have known from the beginning when they said they called us to be seated .. which wasn't the case at all. with it being mother's day i assumed they'd rearrange the seating to accommodate more guest . However they sat us very close to the salad bar which was kind odd considering people needed that open space to get back and forth to the salad bar . But nonetheless i guess because we wasn't in their rotational area they continued to by pass our table all the people around us was being service and again we continued to get overlook . after waiting for about 10-15 without being served i alerted my waitress and she was kind of nonchalant about things which started my frustration during the course of the evening. so after about and hour being there im assuming it was the assistant manager that stop by my table and we explained what was going on . at which time we may have had 3 or 4 people come by our table but shortly after it was another 30-40 mins before anyone else came by .. while im watching a gentleman walk passed my table. going to another table and after stopping him he told me he couldn't serve that dish to me and when i ask why not his response i can't .. which left me at a lost for words . and after speaking to the manger he was very unapologetic but offered to only charge us the salad bar which in this case was over price .. Amazing food here. It's not cheap, but they keep bringing you food until you beg them to stop. Everything we tasted was delicious. We had the salad bar along with filet mignon, flank steak, leg of lamb, and parmesan chicken. That rub they use on the leg of lamb is fantastic. Both cuts of steak were juicy and flavorful, but I'd definitely say the filet mignon was my favorite. Really enjoyed the chicken. They have so many great choices, and the salad bar has a lot of great choices as well. We had salmon and roasted mushrooms. The rice and potatoes were great as well. Our server Nicole was outstanding and very attentive. This is more of a special occasion spot. We averaged around $75 per person before tip, but this was a great experience. read more

Being our first time dining at this restaurant we wanted to be sure what we were getting ourselves into. We call ahead and made the reservation as requested. Coming into the restaurant, being Saturday night, it was full. However, we were seated promptly, which was nice. Being seated in area where a large party was, it was very loud. The restaurant is beautiful, and out in the main dining area, the noise level was not as deafening. Having 3 different waiter come and say, " I will be your waiter tonight", having waited for 15 minutes for anyone to notice us again, the 4th waiter to come up was the actual waiter. We explained how it was our first time in the restaurant, please tell us where the different "bars" was located and what to expect. So waiter gestured toward where the "bars" were and the plates were located. NO SWEET TEA! Not accustomed to full service restaurants in the South, not having SWEET TEA, I ordered a Sprite/7up type beverage. So waiter gestured toward where the "bars" were and the plates were located. We were off and moving. The Salad bar was nice, however it was slim pickings. A lot of the platters were almost empty or empty, so trying new things was not happening. Arriving back at the table, our beverage had arrived, two steamed glasses, which are customarily used for wine was filled with a soda, and a blue water glass. With no true salad fork, but two dining forks was situated at the table, with a type of steak fork with a dinner spoon. I digress, The moment we set back down, the meat brigade began. Never mind our silent token for come feed me meat was still on the no side. Half way through our salad, our waiter came with the complimentary house-baked cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes and fried bananas paired, which was told to me as the waiter did a quick pit stop at our table and off she went. We looked forward to the hot bar. This night it was not as the website described. If you need anything other than Jasmine Rice, Feijoada Black Beans, Sautéed Mushrooms, Lobster Bisque; your waited needed to be told, which we were not told by our waiter until she heard us mention French Fries might be nice. Then as quick could come, she slowed down just enough to sit the freshly cooked fries down and to refill our ice packed glasses with soda. Neither my husband nor I knew we were expected to eat off the same plate as our salad. Even though our salad plate was the size of the dinner plates, really? We were then told, indeed they expected you to eat off the salad plate or you could go and get a new plate. Something in the Intro 101 which seemed to be omitted by the waiter during the crash course of What To Expect. I decided to get another plate. I didn't feel the medium to rare steak or lamb's blood to co-mingle well with my potato salad. The meat brigade began, and encircled the table like a well choregraphed chorus line. With Brazilian Sausage, Pork Ribs, Lamb Filet, Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, Spicy Sirloin, Parmesan-Crusted Pork Loin, Filet Mignon Wrapped in Bacon. Trying a bit of everything, once. Then the second go round, my favorites were asked back for an encore. This go-round the Lamb Filet came out almost raw (outside was charred to crispy critter but inside was raw). Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, a little tightly wrapped which made the chicken, dry tasteless chicken wrapped in seasoned bacon. The sirloin was cut for me had a gristle down the center of large portion of fat and a little taste of beef. I thought let's not try anymore, it could get worse. Desert time, a lovely try of sweets were flashed before my eyes. Great looking Carrot Cake, Key Lime Pie, Pecan Pie with a couple more. We ordered the Carrot cake and hubbie ordered Chocolate Mousse Cake. Coffee or various hot beverages to accompany our desert were offered. During the desert, the tally for the night came: 2 - dinners at the price expected 2 - cokes - $9.00/$4.50 each...7up out of a wine glass 1-Carrot cake: I think it was priced around $12.00 or more - I hope this was not made by your chef. 1-Chocolate Mousse Cake: looked good...about the same price. So at the end of the meal: $159.95 for two persons. Having re-thinking over the experience, I would not have ordered the $4.50 7UP. Nor would I have ordered the desert if I had known it was not included in the meal (Which was not mentioned prior to the ordering. Nor in our crash course at the beginning of the meal.) It's sad that a restaurant that specializes in serving meat doesn't know much about preparing meat. The outside of their meats have seasoning, but the inside is bland and boring. They clearly do not utilize marinades, and only treat the outside of the meat. Then they carve it so all you get is mostly the inside. The Brazilian BBQ we ate in Vegas at the Mirage resort puts Texas De Brazil to shame. I will never waste another dime at this place. read more

Our waitress, on the other hand (darker complexion with dark brown/black hair), instantly looked at us with contempt. We weren't dressed in three piece designer suits, but it's not like we came wearing dirty sweatpants either. Unfortunately this attitude of "your not good enough to be here" from our waitress continued throughout our dining experience. She handed us a 20 page drink menu and expected us to immediately have our order picked within 30 seconds. There were three of us, only one drink menu, and none of us had dined at Texas de Brazil before. It was literally a book of 20 pages of mixed drinks, wines, liquors, dessert cocktails, etc. to flip through before we made a decision. When we ordered our drinks we asked if we could please keep the drink menu at our table since each of us was anticipating ordering a second cocktail. She waited until we went to the salad bar (immediately after) and then took the drink menu from our table. Needless to say, we did not order additional drinks. She did keep our water glasses topped off, which we were thankful for. However, the food was nothing short of excellent. The salad bar was fresh and all the sides were hot and delicious! The lobster bisque and potatoes au gratin were my favorites! All of the servers bringing different cuts of meat were exceptionally kind and answered all of our questions. They were very friendly while still being professional. Based on this experience I do not believe we will be returning to this Texas de Brazil location. I love the idea of an upscale buffet where for a flat rate fee per person you can get the taste of various delicious meats. When I say meats they choose only the best cuts of meat, and come by your table to cut the meat fresh. I went to my first Texas De Brazil in Colorado and was amazed by the entire experience and the quality of the meats presented. This location missed the mark for me. Some of the meats were really juicy, delicious and fresh. Unfortunately others were a little overdone, tasteless, tough, and/or dry. Yes even the filets were full of gristle and fat! Every sample I tried. Save your money and go to Texas Roadhouse. Then come back here for some really great desserts. A pound of lamb chops, a pound of ribs, a pound of bacon wrapped filet minion. You can seriously order pounds of meat from $9 a pound to $28 per pound. Get a wide arrangement of meats and you can have leftovers,and all the meat you could ever dream of or want. The sides, also by the pound. I typically order 4 pounds of meat, a pound of potatoes, and two orders of lobster bisque for the low price of $100 or less. $100 for amazing lamb chops or filet ? Yes absolutely give me all of it. So the actually taste of the meat: you have to order the lamb chops, these delicate amazing chops are seasoned and cooked to perfection. The perfect bite or two per chop. The picanha is delectable, a 1/2 inch of fat around perfectly cooked steak. Yes. However one of the most flavorful steak is honestly the flank steak. Cooked to perfection, extremely tender and amazing flavor. The bbq pork ribs are fall off of the bone, the sausage is amazing seasoning with a crunch of the skin. Perfect bite. The potatoes au gratin are sliced thin potatoes deep fried (seems like it) then baked in a cheesy cream sauce. They are the perfect side with all of the meat. The only think we have t been extremely impressed with is the lobster bisque. It doesn't have any pieces of lobster in the soup and is more of a tomato cream bisque. The Brazilian cheese bread is just so so as well. It's good but nothing to write home about. Overall, check it out but really if you want more bang for your buck, order it to go. I've been coming to this location since it opened. I will first say that the service we received from "Wille" was without par. He was cheerful, fast and anticipated our every need. His service could be rated at 5 Stars. Regrettably, that is the end of the good... The food service has been on a steady decline and I think last night it augured in, well at least for me. We practically had to chase down the meat servers to be served dried out miniscule portions on our plates. The selections were limited as well, and they no longer offer the lamb chops without paying an up charge. WTH? The restaurant was not even 1/4 full, and it was still early. Phenomenal experience! My wife and I had never heard of Texas de Brazil until we were given a gift card so we decided to give it a shot. We enjoyed the finest salad bar I have ever had and the meat selection was nothing short of amazing. Everything was prepared perfectly and the staff was most enjoyable. The entire restaurant was clean and the ambiance was excellent. Our server, Kelsie did an outstanding job and we wanted for nothing throughout our entire experience. It sounds exciting, hut when they cram 8 people at a 6 top with the world's most inattentive and useless waitress, it turns into an experience barely saved by the outstanding food. I have sat at my table with a green card up for over 30 mins and had no one come by. I have had friends say they also sat there for 20-30 mins with no one coming by. Bobby was the crown jewel of our night! We had been waiting around 20min to be seated (our fault for not making reservations) and were starving when we were seated. Bobby was one of the first people to a knowledge us and ask us what kind of meats we prefered, then proceeded to bring what we requested and checked in on us everytime he passed by to see if there was anything that he could bring us. He was more interested in making sure we were having a good time and more attentive than our waitress. So friendly and welcoming, he made the trip special. Also, thank you Ashley for checking in our table at the end of the night. We would definitely return, as long as Bobby was there. The food was great, only improvement I can think of is a wider variety of non alcoholic drinks, a choice of only 3 coke products is a bit limiting. Open that up by making the Spirite into spritzers with strawberry puree. This experience was a big change from the last time we went, it was clean, the atmosphere was nice but the major change was the level of care we received from Bobby made the trip special. read more

1 star = would not go back (ever). Seating = 1 star. First table on the left. Cash register/computer right behind my head. Uncomfortably close. Had to squeeze in and out each time to get up. Which is often due to the set up. Could hear conversations of staff being trained on the system behind my head. Terrible ambiance. Food = 1 star. Green beans are questionable. Plastic taste. Meets - totally random. No process for getting the cut you want. Up to total chance if you get anything good in any timely fashion. Service = 1 star. We arrived at 3pm when they opened to celebrate our anniversary. 1) ladies bathroom was horrible someone had gotten sick in a stall and the other ones had no toilet paper so either not cleaned at closing the night before or no one checked before opening 2) kept only bringing chicken or sirloin even after I asked for filet. 3) finally brought filet and it was soured. For $50 a person I'd expect GOOD food and a clean restroom. Won't be going back. read more

Well this is disappointing. This was our first time here and our expectations were HIGH. We built this trip up by making a reservation via Open Table on Friday morning. We were both buzzin' about the awesome meal we were going to have on Sunday night at 7pm. We get there and the host asks if it's our first time here + are we celebrating anything. I said yes to being a first timer and was met with a Kristen Stewart blank expression. We get told it'll be a minute and to go take a seat. We stayed in said seat (impatient sigh)... for 40 minutes. As someone who FASTED ALL DAY for this one glorious meal, this was deflating. While we were benched on the sideline, I heard more than one server go by their tables stating how understaffed they were and that's why it was taking so long for everything to come out (another le sigh). Alas, we get a table. A server comes by and her introduction includes a "heads up we only have 3 servers, apologies in advance". Cool. She leaves to go get us drinks. We just go ahead and get two plates and flip the cards to green and go for it. The MEAT GUYS were great. I liked everything I had and I thought it all tasted awesome, especially the flank steak. The mashed potatoes were really good too! We asked for a second helping of this *unlimited side* and got it...30 minutes later. The food was awesome but the service was unforgivable. You can't ask people to pay a minimum of $45 per person and never -refill drinks -never check in about side items -flip tables in an efficient manner Also.. why only 3 servers on a Sunday night? Everyone looked so stressed out. If this is a special occasion restaurant, it has to be treated as such by your staff. Hire more people and train them in high end customer service. Your price tag doesn't match your McDonald's "gon head" service. Chick Fil A is 1/4 the price of Texas de Brazil and treats all their customers like saints. I (unfortunately) wouldn't come back here after this experience. read more
