This is my second time visiting Texas de Brazil for dinner. My good friend likes to eat here for his birthday. The price for the salad bar and all you can eat meat is $45. I find it to be expensive for the quality. The service is not spot on. We had to ask for water and spoons for soup. The waiter forgot several items that we asked for. It also took quite a while before anyone came to out table initially for drink orders. There was also a leak in the ceiling. There were metal tubs with napkins catching the water drips and yellow wet floor signs cautioning guests and staff. This puts me off when I see it in a restaurant. They do have an extensive wine and drink menu but the waiter never took the time to explain any of it and I did not order any wine. Most of the wine is very expensive and must be ordered by the half bottle or full bottle. There were some cuts of meat that I found tasty. Most of the pork loin was painfully dry, along with the chicken breasts. I like my steak rare and they did bring me some rare meat when I asked. The lobster bisque is pretty good. I like that and the bread. Texas de Brazil is a fun experience I suggest going for lunch, it is about half the price. It is loud and at times the people bringing the meat can interrupt conversation when they offer another cut of meat. I won't be back, unless my friend wants to eat here for his birthday again next year. read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I have visited Texas De Brazil locations in both Huntsville, Alabama, and Birmingham, Alabama. Tonight was our first time visiting this location even though it is closest to where we live. We arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 and were immediately seated. Our server was fantastic. Neither of our drink classes ever even reached half full, and she was so attentive and helpful. The guys bringing food around to the table came so often we had to flip our coins over to red before we had even been there 10 minutes. We will definitely be back! read more

I highly recommend trying out Texas de Brazil. The salad bar and selection of meats is great. Make a reservation or be prepared to wait on the weekends. Tip: If you like your meat cooked a certain way, tell your server and they will make sure you get it cooked that way. read more

SOOOO GOOOOD! I went there with some friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was exceptional! The salad bar was nothing like I have ever seen. There was everything from lobster bisque to sushi. Then a troop of carvers come around with chicken, lamb, beef, pork, and sausage. All of the meats tastes really good. I would defiantly recommend this place for a memorable night out! I can't say enough about this place. This weekend was my first Brazilian steakhouse experience. The meats are top choice, cooked to perfection. The coffee rubbed pork was my favorite. The only thing I could say was not great was the rub on some of the meats was too salty. read more

Oh Texas de Brazil. I really do love this place. It is a carnivore's dream and works out for non-meat eaters as well. The salad bar is endless, delicious, and cheaper than eating the pounds of meat they bring out when you get a normal plate. I just eat a few pieces of meat from my husband's plate and take a few trips to the salad bar to enjoy my weight in cheese and olives. Judge me. The deserts are fabulous. Creme Brûlée is my favorite one. The service here is sketchy, but not terrible. read more

This was my 1st visit to Texas de Brazil. I did research prior, so I expected this to be fun and tasty time with my family. My group was about 14 people deep so our waitress Hailee (I think) Was superb! She was very attentive and answered all of our questions. She was helpful with the group of teenagers we brought with us as well! The buffet​ bar in the middle, I am not a fan of. I went into knowing I would need to get much from this bar. The Bacon was great! But the best part of the meal was the MEATS GALORE! My husband tried the sirloin​ first and so did I! We immediately fell in love, but wanted to pace ourselves before we tried all the other varies meats, The guys came out with Lamb chops, Garlic Steak​, Flank steaks, Beef ribs! This was quite a good time with my family. I'd also like to add the Garlic mash is great as well. Add more items to the hot bar in the middle and you'd get a 5 from me. We arrive about 20 minutes​ prior to the restaurant​ open time due to weather issues. The staff was nice enough us to come in and wait it out as they prepared the dining area. I am a meat eater so this place hits the spot! Service is top notch and drinks are good. It is a bit pricey in my opinion and the salad bar can have a little more verities, not saying that it isn't good but maybe some more soups to choose from. read more

Love this place! They like to over crowd sometimes, and you're poking the neighbors behind you when you eat. The food is excellent though. Even though it's a little under done for MY tastes..it tastes wonderful. Melt in your mouth kind of good. It's very well worth it. Our servers have always been attentive, and the Goucho's are prompt and full of service. I've only ever been to the one in Memphis, but if it's any indication, I'd love to visit more of them. read more

Fabulous! Let me start by saying there kitchen had caught on fire right before dinner service started. That didn't stop them. They pulled there catering grill outside and still cooked and managed to serve delicious food. The filet, lamb, and shrimp ceviche were my favorites. We had reservations at 3:45 for Mother's Day lunch at the Memphis Texas de Brazil. I was assured we would be seated promptly. My wife and I arrived 5 minutes early. We checked in and were told it would be a few minutes. 40 minutes after our reservation time, we were still waiting. When we inquired, we were spoiken to rudely by one of the women at the check-in desk, and ignored by the other. A manager came by and when we asked about our reserved table, we were told he was seating large parties first and we would have to wait. When we were finally seated, we waited another five minutes for a waitress. She was polite. The salad bar had multiple dishes that were empty. There were no bowls for the soup - and finally, two wet bowls were set out. We waited 15 minutes for potatoes and the baked bananas. We had no spoons, no salt and pepper, and I finally went to another table and "robbed" it of condiments. A large poster at the entrance promised an "unforgettable experience." Food quality has really dropped from our last visit. Meats were almost all cooker medium well. Server kept telling us they would bring out some rare but meats continued to come out overdone. Service was average. Would not consider the meal worth $45 anymore. read more

The food was great, atmosphere was nice. Staff were all very nice. So my rating was going to be five stars. Until I stopped to use the restroom. It was incredible disgusting in there. Only one stall had toilet paper. The other stalls had at least three empty toilet paper rolls in each, letting me know no one had been in there for a long time to clean it. I had to go into the storage closet to get myself and another lady toilet paper. Once I saw the conditions of the bathroom, made me think of what the kitchen might look like. Smh. Will be back to another Texas de Brazil... just not sure I will me back to the Memphis location. read more

Texas de Brazil is in my top 5 of favorite restaurants. It is a bit of a splurge but well worth it. The steaks are tender and juicy. You can make a meal just from the salad bar if you wish. My favorite is the lamp chops. They are cooked to perfection and so tender. We have visited on several occasions and will be back for more! read more

I love this place! Went here for a date night & we scored because we had a 1/2 off coupon. It's basically $50ish per person. Make sure u make reservations because we tried to do a walk in once & they were booked. I usually go for the bacon wrapped filet Mignon & sometimes the Parmesan chicken. I do like the sausage too but I try to save my appetite for the more expensive meats to make my money's worth. Make sure you don't forget to flip your card to green so the meats come to you. Love the plantains that already come on your table. Not too fond of the cheese puffs. The salad buffet is pretty awesome. My favorite is the lobster bisque. You get a desert in the end & my hubby enjoyed his cheesecake. My chocolate cake was ok. But overall a great experience. Highly recommend if you're a meat eater. Just hopefully you don't get stuck upstairs like we always do & have to maneuver your way up & down those stairs w/ food. Try doing that w/ heels. read more

The most fabulous meal I've had so far since living in Memphis! I have also been to the competition, Fogo de Chao, and I personally might give Texas de Brazil just a slight edge. The buffet selections at Texas de Brazil are not as plentiful as Fogo de Chao, but that's ok.....I'm not here to pig out on the buffet items. I'm here for the meat! I've read numerous posts about Texas de Brazil overly salting the meat. My wife and I did not find this to be true at all. It may have been salty, but everything was flavorful.....even more so than I can recall the meats being at Fogo de Chao. Desert was out of this world as well. I ordered the chocolate cake, and my wife had the cheesecake. Both were two of the best deserts I've ever had! Yes, this place is uber expensive. I think we dropped easily $120 on dinner for two, and that was without any alcohol. But this is a special occasion place, and somewhere I hope I can come to at least once a year. read more

The front desk staff was very rude and asked the other person how long is the wait time , we were like shocked when she said another 30 mins. Great experience, if you live in Memphis or in the surrounding area I'd recommend to try it at least once. My favorites are the leg of lamb and the filet . I saw so many reviews gushing over the lobster bisque that I had to try it, well to me It was good but nothing to call home about. The service at this location was fantastic. The waiters were prompt and made sure you were able to try all the many types of meats. This is not a typical wine a dine style of restaurant. You are given a circular placard to flip once you are ready for a different/more meat item. If you have never dined here be prepared for at least $150 for two people minimum(excluding parking). One word..... Amazing! Texas De Brazil is full of surprises! There's no menu involve so the choices of meats are unlimited! What makes this place so interesting? A circle card is placed on the table beside each guest. This card can be tricky but the waiter was excellent in explaining the whole ordeal! The card is green on one side and red on the other. This basically tells the servers you want more meat if the side is up and no if you are full! Please be aware that the severs will load you up with food as long as the green side is up! Unlimited sides are available with a feast for the salad bar! You name it sushi, zucchini, shrimp, squash, rice, black beans, and much more to consider for your salads, oh and did I mention the lobster soup! Please try this place, I could go on and on about the great food but my battery life is almost in zombie land! this place has so much to offer right in the heart of downtown Memphis!............ Oh and parking isn't that great! The parking is $13 bucks across the street from the restaurant but I guess it's well worth it! read more

If you like meat, this is without a doubt the place to go. If you're going for dinner I would suggest skipping lunch, as you will be fed as much filet, lamb, roasted pork, ribs, chicken, sirloin, flank steak and more than you could ever imagine eating. The salad bar is amazing too, with a wide selection of pastas, seafood, and fresh cheeses - just save room for the meat! The Parmesan crusted pork is amazing! I was thoroughly impressed. I had flank steak,filet mignon, bacon wrapped chicken, pork loin, lamb chops,etc. Every thing was cooked to perfection. Every 5-10 minutes some one comes to offer you all kinds of meat prepared to your liking. The salad bar was devine. We had an office party there a couple of years ago - all of us ate the buffet. Certainly get all the beef you want, but sirloin was the top cut offered and it wasn't so tender. First of all, they accommodated my very short notice reservation. I made a reservation a week prior at a Texas De Brazil in Yonkers New York on accident. I'm dumb and didn't realize it until that location called to confirm my reservation. Anyways, I called the Memphis location at 1pm on a Saturday and asked if they happened to have anything open that evening and explained how dumb I was. They quickly gave me a spot at the time I wanted. I was so surprised and pleased. One of the best places I have ever eaten at. The staff is amazing. Anthony is a great waiter! We never had to ask for anything, he knew exactly what we needed and when. The food was amazing. We were offered different cuts of meats cooked differently to fit our taste constantly. They try REALLY hard. But it remains burdened by its chain status. Chimichurri I suspect was frozen and reconstituted. Sausage taste and consistency of old work glove. Oddly enough, they make killer lobster bisque. Platanos are very well done. Nice ambience except for the buffet decor which is just missing a naked girl with her sushi bits. I really enjoy this place. We have been two times and each time it was a good experience. The Salad bar is amazing, flank steak is untouchable, and the desert hits the spot at the end of the meal. Absolutely amazing cuisine! ...from the chimichurri to the Brazilian vinaigrette to the picanha...!!! My Dad was half Argentine and always made churrascaria on the weekends and these gorgeous meats that the guys in their gaucho outfits cut up for you table side was an experience...!!! Believe me when I say that everything was a gastric wonderment...!!! All was prepared to perfection and I mean everything...!!! I took my wife of 25 years for our Anniversary dinner and we were both blown away...!!! April, our server, was a delight!!! So attentive and warm...she was a definite part of the experience...!!! Texas de Brazil, is a wonderful place and a great concept. I've dined at this Memphis location twice and I've had nothing but perfect meals and service each time. The service from the waitstaff is topnotch! The waitstaff smile, they are respectful and professional. The food is absolutely amazing and I couldn't get enough! I've only had the salad bar and not the meats. The salad bar is the largest I've ever seen and it contains much more then what you would expect. I saw and enjoyed everything from appetizers, grilled and pickled vegetables, soups, shrimp, cheeses and your everyday salad items. My favorites on the salad bar are the lobster bisque soup, there are two or three strong tasting cheeses I loved, the one type of sushi they offered, the jasmine rice, the portabella mushrooms, the steamed asparagus and the usual mozzarella cheese balls. I did not consume any meat because I am picky about steak. The steak I've seen on the pitchforks and on friends plates appeared to be juicy and flavorful with every bite. None of my friends complained about their steaks! Texas de Brazil, also has grilled chicken and sausages. The atmosphere is nice and fancy, intimate and it could be considered romantic. Texas de Brazil, is great for entertaining and large groups. Over all Texas de Brazil, is a super nice establishment and I am sure you'll have a wonderful time and meal. Parking is best at the Peabody Hotel garage. You can pay self park or you can do the valet parking. There is also another parking garage near Beale and it is literally a three minute walk. read more

This place rocks. The salad bar is the best I have ever seen and enjoyed. The selection of meats was perfect. The service was perfect, right on when you flip from red to green fresh meat is there, perfectly cooked the way you like. Friday staff. The Carmelites plantain is phenomenal.
