About $9 for half a dozen donuts, not cheap but not overpriced either for this area. The person working was so friendly and chatter with us for a few minutes! Donuts are fresh and price on par with DD but 1000% better. The glazed yeast donuts are light, soft and fluffy on the inside. It melts as you take a bite. Delicious donuts - over 60 types of donuts and only $2! They close at 3pm. When I got there around 2pm on a Thursday, many varieties were sadly sold out! Yes, they have ginormous Texas Donuts (3 times the size of a normal donut!) and cronuts (croissant/doughnut) as well as cake, yeast (with fresh filling) donuts. They are a decent size (smaller than Dunkin and Good Company, but larger than Sunday Bakehouse) and very reasonably priced at only $2 (boutique donuts are typically $5). The Glazed Chocolate and Maple cake Donuts were moist, fluffy, and delicious! I've been chasing the after church high of a Shoppers Food Warehouse doughnut for nearly two decades now and my goodness, I think I have finally found it! Located in the old Midnight Treats spot, Texas Doughnuts offers the lightest, fluffiest, doughnuts around! I stopped by this morning to grab some treats to surprise my daughter and the person at the counter was so kind, so peppy, and so informative! My kiddos were obsessed with the cookie monster, fruity pebble, and oreo doughnuts. I loved the buttermilk one myself -- perfect for a morning coffee. The counter person mentioned their doughssants were one of the best selling items and I'll be sure to grab one next time! My half dozen doughnuts came out to about ten dollars which was an amazing value! Loved supporting this local spot. read more

I usually have a strong aversion to donuts because I find all except Krispy Kreme to be dry and lackluster. I ate all the donuts in the box because I had super low expectations, but saved the last mega donut for a picture for this review to proclaim its greatness. They looked like your average grocery store donuts, but sure did not taste like them. All the flavors we got: buttermilk, Oreo, plain glazed, chocolate sprinkle, Bavarian cream filled, raspberry filled, tasted light and airy and not dry at all. The plain glazed was the fluffiest of them all. I don't like my donuts cold/room temp, but they tasted so good even in 17 degree weather, I would go back for more. I recommend sticking to the regular sized donuts than the mega donut for better glaze to donut ratio. The cashier had a positive energy and it's always nice to be greeted with a smile. Wow just wow. Not even a donut girlie but these blew me away. My toddler and I got there Monday (MLK Day) at 9am and the line was short and inventory was full! There was a half dozen option which wasn't enough, two donuts were gone before we even made it out of the parking lot. The cream donut was filled fresh in front of your eyes! And the cake/old fashion was another favorite. The only negative about this place is that it lives rent free in my head and I will think about it every weekend. read more

So happy that another location opened in Vienna! I remember being delicious when I stopped by the Centreville location years ago, and it did not disappoint. The owner is super friendly, helpful, and hilarious! He guided me through the menu and gave recommendations. All the items were so fresh and delicious!! I always enjoy a classic original glazed. Theirs is quite similar to Krispy Kreme - very airy but still crispy on the outside. You can even get the big Texas style that's like 4 times bigger than a normal one!!! The croughnut (croissant + doughnut) is also a must get. I love the sausage kolache with jalapeño and cheddar - reminded me of an Asian bakery style hot dog! read more

I'm so happy that this place has finally opened. I am not much of a donut person but always love Krispy Kreme. Heard a lot about Texas Donuts so want to give them a try. This is pretty much a take out place. There are no table or chairs to sit. When I got inside, there was a small line already around 7:30 am. But I didn't have to wait for long. It is so hard to decide which donuts to buy. I ended up getting Red Velvet, Buttermilk, Glazed and a couple of Kolache. The donuts taste fresh and light which are great. I will try the Kolaches later for lunch. Definitely better than Dunkin Donuts for sure. Will be back next time to try other flavors. A great addition to Vienna for sure read more

I first learned of Texas Donuts from Christopher G. and was blown away by the delicate yet deliciousness of their donuts. Now that there is a location closer to me, I find myself coming here every so often specifically for those glazed donuts -- the taste x texture never misses, even when it's almost their COB. My child loves their Cookie Monster donut as well as the sprinkled one. The kolaches are delicious as well but the glazed donuts (they even have a giant version) will always be the perfect sweet treat. It doesn't leave you feeling greasy or heavy after either. The owners are also friendly and quick with service. Did I mention the great pricing? It is super small and casual inside, with plenty of parking available. Service was very fast when I was up to order. Not the biggest place and minimal room to stand around or dine-in, but serves its purpose as a grab and go donut shop. I ordered a dozen for $17. It was Monday morning and someone after me ended up buying $800 of donuts because they loved it so much! They came in Saturday and came back two days later! I really like the donuts at Texas Donuts! I went on a Saturday around 12:30 pm ish, and the popular donuts were all sold out, which was a bummer. But I ordered the glazed twist, chocolate glazed old fashioned donut, and the maple glaze donut. I really liked the glazed twist, it had a decent amount of glaze and was super soft. The chocolate old fashioned donut was also quite good, and I liked how it was crispy on the edges. Service was good and we were able to get our donuts pretty fast, even with a line. read more

Ok, now I finally get what the fuss is about! These donuts are so much lighter than Krispy Kreme, fyi, you Krispy Kreme fans. I used to love Curiosity Donuts when they were at the Whole Foods at the Boro, these are a close second! The sausage kolache, is unique, yes reminds me of an Asian Bakery hot dog bun, but I like the snap of the sausage here, making it appealing texture wise too! I do feel that the bun surrounding could be on the softer side though, but it's pretty comparable to ideal. Didn't get to try the cronut because they sold out - now it's got me curious, because they must be spectacular to have sold out!!! Thanks for coming to the Vienna hood, Texas Donuts!!! Came to get a dozen end up paying over 10 bucks extra, they only have limited regular doughnuts then try to push specialty and end up charging more, and the doughnuts are,,, whatever,,,, I mean nothing special!
