Very disappointed to write this review as I had high hopes. I went with a friend who was a usual and it seemed to be busier than usual. we were sat for about 20-30 mins without anyone checking on us or giving us water. We saw the server go back and forth catering to other tables. When I finally mustered up the courage to call her just to grab some drinks, she yelled at me. I've been dining in here on and off for the past 10 years. Absolutely love the food, there was one time (2025) I got their tiramisu and it had a little mold on the side. Thankfully I've never had that experience again, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Cute, clean establishment with an extensive menu. I will always appreciate eating somewhere with a nothing-is-off-limits menu for vegans. Dishes range from healthy, lighter fare to comfort foods. I recently visited Loving Hut and left feeling disappointed. I want to start by saying that I genuinely love Loving Hut and make it a point to visit different locations when I'm traveling. I've always appreciated their food and the values they represent, so I was excited to come across this location and expected the same level of integrity and consistency I've experienced elsewhere. Their website lists lower prices for most menu items, but when I arrived at the restaurant, the in-store menu showed significantly higher prices. Then when I received my check, the prices were increased even further. That kind of inconsistency feels misleading and creates distrust. When I asked about it, my server explained that she is not the owner and has no control over pricing. She mentioned that staff have asked the owner to update the website so pricing matches across all menus, but nothing has been done. I appreciate her honesty -- she was polite and doing her best in an uncomfortable situation. After I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, they agreed to honor the in-store menu price. Beyond pricing, the restaurant itself did not feel well maintained. There was visible dust on fixtures and lighting, and some of the furniture and tables appeared old and deteriorating. What makes this especially disappointing is that Loving Hut promotes values rooted in Buddhism, kindness, and integrity. Transparency and care for customers should align with those principles. As someone who has supported Loving Hut across different locations, I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works toward more consistent pricing and better upkeep. read more

I prepared better glass noodles at home and I'm not a noodle expert. The thick mixed veggies were sloppily thrown on top of the noodles and not mixed in with the sauce. The veggie ham was quite tasty and the best part of the dish! While the bbq drummies were tasty, they were smothered in a tangy sweet and sour sauce. I would get sauce on the side next time! This is a nice change of pace for me for someone who doesn't venture out to vegetarian only places much. This visit was from back when I went in August so I don't know if anything changed back then. It was a delightful taste and I didn't feel like it was anything different from the other places where I got vegetarian egg rolls. The main entree I got was drunken noodles which was just stir fried flat noodles with soy protein, bean sprouts, chives, bok choy, onions topped with sauce. For the portion you are getting, this was a lot. I think it wasn't spicy at all and perhaps I could have asked if there was an option to make it spicy but not an issue. The dish was filling and honestly just impressive on how vegetarian food can emulate meat in so many ways. I think there were moments when I was eating that I take a bite out of the soy protein and I'm just thinking; " it's really close to the actual thing! ". Love this all vegan place! It's very much a hole-in-the-wall in a small strip center in Falls Church. The entire menu is completely vegan. It's an unassuming restaurant with flavorful, delicious, healthy vegan food. Most options are Asian, like pho and curry, but they also offer a few sandwiches. We had the Golden Nuggets, which were crispy and delicious. I ate them with the sweet and spicy sauce on the table. I also had the Veggie Pho, was was fragrant and filling. It's so hard to find good veggie pho and this hit the spot. My dining companion had the Curry and really enjoyed it. It says it's spicy but it was pretty mild. 8/23/24 After eating at Sunflower Vegetarian, My wife still wanted Pho Soup. Since the previous soup so at Sunflower Vegetarian was so vapid, something succulent in the highest order is needed. Enter Loving Hut. My wife loves this place even though I won't eat here anymore. The taste of the soup she had just made my wife smile like the Joker and Cheshire Cat. The fact that this restaurant semes to know what they are doing when it comes to preparing food speaks volumes. I did not eat or drink anything because I was feeling sick to my stomach. Our server asked me why I don't eat here anymore? I told our server and she apologized for the actions of the bad server who tainted my whole outlook on Loving Hut. I was offered a free drink on the house, but declined due to how I was feeling still, because of our server, I might give this place one more chance. I will write another review should this happen. Reliably wonderful vegan food - a national chain, fyi. We usually dine in but sometimes get takeout. This location has a fairly clean dining room, but it seems mostly utilitarian. Meanwhile, the menu is overwhelming. You can have vegan versions of Chinese takeout classics like Sweet & Sour, or vegan American classics like a chicken sandwich with fries. As a meat-eater myself, I am really impressed with how Loving Hut is able to pack a lot of flavor in their dishes. My most favorite dishes are the Hue's spicy noodle soup (bun hue) and the pho veggie noodle soup. When I took the first sip of the broth, it was surprising that there were no meat ingredients in the broth. The depth of flavor in the broth makes the dish very sumptuous and I'd be happy to eat this vegan version of noodle soup over the regular meat variants. The loving hut salad is also a nice light salad that's lightly dressed with a vegan fish sauce - a great starter to any meal. Loving Hut also offers basic sandwiches that are also pretty flavorful. Based on all my visits, service is average. I've had excellent service where it was attentive and waters were refilled without asking; other times service was slow when they're busy and short staffed. But the food remained pretty consistent in quality. Overall, I'd recommend Loving Hut. Vegan food does not have to be boring and bland. If you're looking for Vegan Vietnamese food- this is a decent option! Only caveat is the very long wait and don't expect good service. It took about 30 min to get our hot green tea (which is just tea bag from Trader Joe's) and about an hour wait for the food. When our food arrived, we took two bites and the female waiter asked if we wanted boxes because they were closing. She told us very rudely to be "mindful of the time". My response was you brought our food very late and we literally just took a bite. Quite ridiculous to be honest! Eden center is authentic as it gets, has higher traffic, and we can get our food in like 10 minutes. The flavors here aren't that authentic but it's not bad. Parking is quite difficult as they only have a small number in the front. The summer rolls were good. The bun hue had an interesting flavor. The broth was much sweeter than the authentic meat version, but it had the aromas of Bun Bo hue. The wonton soup was quite good. I think better than the bun hue. The vermicelli dish was pretty standard and difficult to mess up, but the nuoc mam sauce that came with it was pretty bland. Overall, the food was not bad. I'm not a huge fan of soy protein and processed ingredients/fake meat and majority of their dishes had it. I cannot believe I've never reviewed The Loving Hut after frequenting this place since August 2012. The Hut and I go way, way back. In fact, this is likely the place that convinced me from moving from raw, to pescatarian, to giving chicken one more try before giving it up, that vegan was THE way to go. In my 10+ years of coming here, I've brought anyone and everyone to this spot, and it has never disappointed. Meat eaters, toddlers, business meetings - it always wins. Once I brought someone who ordered a side of rice with soy sauce on the side, but that was their problem, not the huts. Another very awesome vegan place near the house. What I loved about this place was the amount of options they have. Typically I'm cautious of restaurants that have a huge menu because it makes me feel like the food won't be as good but for someone dipping their toes into the vegan pool, it was nice to see they had American food as well as Vietnamese food and some items in between for me to try a little bit of everything. Its chunks of fries soy precooked broccoli lined around the plate chunks in middle with sauce just plated but not on the chunks. So there are pieces that have no sauce at all. The sauce is really sweet and offff... i really wanted to enjoy it... but it was really not good. The white rice that came with it took over the show because it was the one thing that the broccoli complimented very well. With my mix of sauces. I have had this place bookmarked on my yelp Sooo long and i wanted to love every bite but i left fake full and i didn't send anything back at all because its my first time and it could be me and my taste buds... i cannot say anything made me say oh im def coming back for.... I kinda like how unique the vegan shrimp was. 10/10 will get it again. Now why did I take off two stars? The avocado smoothie was listed as $4.50 but I was charged $5. This was not a problem though. The avocado smoothie just tasted bad. It doesn't taste like avocado at all. I didn't even finish my drink. Next problem was the samosas. The menu stated 4 pieces, but when I opened it, there was only 2 pieces. It was good though with the sauce that it came with. I will definitely come back for the summer rolls and to give the pho a try. I'll update my review again when I do. Parking was bad though. Their parking lot is pretty small. I specifically made plans to drive to Falls Church to try out their Spinach/Cheese Pastry & Golden Nuggets with both being sold out. One of the employees stated she tried to call me back (I didn't get a miss call) yet she replaced one of the items with Steamed Dumplings, an effort I appreciated. This was my third time trying another version of Lemongrass (made with Soy Protein) & it was pretty good. There are many foods that have the option to be made with or without Gluten, Soy & etc. For an Asian eatery that offers a variety of cuisine - Hot Dog, BLT, Fish Sandwiches, I took advantage of the Fried Mozzarella Sticks that were spot on. Also, my order of 4+ items was only $18. My friend recommended this place as her top vegan Vietnamese restaurant! I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan pho and the vegan banh mi. The cheese sticks were also very unique (first time trying vegan cheese in a cheese stick)!
