During the recent wind storm a house-sized tree took out our power and yanked the electrical mast along with it. I was really overwhelmed wondering how to deal with the tree, get an electrician out, and then get the city to reconnect the line before I went broke on hotels. I plugged an outlet expander into an outlet and I saw a flash of light and heard a pop, and a bunch of outlets stopped working. I noticed a breaker tripped and when I would try to flip it back on, it would trip again. So I went on Yelp, of course, to find someone to repair it. I got a bunch of quotes. This company had the most 5-star reviews that I saw, for electrical work, and they also quoted me the lowest price. When the guy came over, he was super polite and professional (and quite young), I was kind of shocked because I didn't know service people were still like that, especially younger folks! (The last several service guys I've had from other companies over weren't nearly as polite or professional.) So yeah I'm super impressed with this company and would definitely use them again. Miguel and crew are some of the best and friendliest electricians you can hire here in Austin. As a landlord and owning several properties, I have had them work on my other properties as well as in my own home. The most recent project was a whacky idea I came up with to ventilate my garage and use ducting and fans I had on hand to save on costs as well as install several more outlets as my garage only had one accessible outlet for the entire garage (what......who thought that was a good idea?) Miguel also suggested installing a switch to control the vent fan I planned to install for very minimal cost which was a great idea. He worked with me to figure out what few parts I needed to connect my 11" ceiling vent fan and run it to a 6" inline fan to assist with airflow through the attic and finally push air out through a soffit vent by the trash cans. This has resolved both my humidity and lack of airflow issues within the garage, and has also seemed to drop the temperature slightly throughout the cooler nights to help with daytime temperatures. Will be contacting them back again for assistance with a mini split sometime before next summer! read more
