I proceeded to call my credit card company and ask what proof they gave to which the reply was un-shockingly "nothing." There was no proof. So here I am almost 2 months later still going through this bs because why..... according to them a regular customer is supposed to know to email them with issues, even though you called them and talked to someone over the phone & they mentioned nothing about emailing! This is another greedy business who cares more about profit than the value of actual consumers supporting their establishment. Will not recommend nor return. I was a faithful and loyal customer to this establishment for nearly 3 years. They had great professionalism and decent prices. I don't believe it to be fair they sell their customers defective products with no plans to exchange and work with them. I'm surprised due to the unfortunate nature of this situation the response I've been given and genuine customer care as well as support I have not received. Last week I purchased a $25 disposable hookah. After one use, it began to leak all over my table. I contacted the shop 9 days after purchase, due to not being in town. I was told there is a 7 day policy and it was nothing they could do, though the defective hookah was at my expense sold from their inventory. I emailed the company email as suggested by staff and attached is what I was told. Hookah was $25 and I've spent well over more than triple that amount supporting this money hungry company. I was told it was a cheap hookah and normally people purchase for one time usage. I'm not understanding if the hookah is so cheap why they wouldn't be able to exchange it ? It's to be used a few times, but I only got to use it once. Their response shows how much they value their customers. So found this place online through their eBay store. Ordered a 2pc brush set for my hookah. The package came and the stem brush (long skinny one) was ok, but the brush that is supposed to be used for the base was flattened and disformed. I tried many ways to poof the brush out the way it looks in the picture but it's still flat and completely useless in cleaning the inside of my hookah base. If they are going to sell products online they should either get higher quality products or at least ship the items in an actual BOX so the products do not become unusable. (See my pics below) The worst part about all of this is a I messaged them before I left this review to see if they would at least apologize and instead they read my message and hav not replied. How UNPROFESSIONAL. Will not be buying from here or visiting the lounge on my next trip to Houston. read more

I needed a birthday gift for someone and I had no good ideas beyond fondly remembering a frat party at Al-Amir in Dallas (Upper Greenville which b t dubs has since been closed) we had both attended many, many, many years ago where there were so many hookahs out it was sick bro. (I was 19 at the time, get over it.) I searched online and realized I had waited too late to actually get something shipped to Houston in time. But one name kept coming up in my frantic googling: "Texas Hookah." So I did a bit of internets and realized they were in the Med Centre area. So I used my lunch hour to drive over, shop in person, and walk out with a gift rather than paying for shipping. Smart like a fox. The nice, older man behind the counter was supremely nice and pleasant. He walked around the store with me, chatted, and he helped me find the right thing rather than trying to up-sell me things I didn't need or want. That was just A++ customer service to listen and help, rather than angrily stare at me from behind the counter. The selection is quite broad in every sense of the word. There are rows and rows of different brand/types of the shisha. There is an entire wall of different sorts of hookah from the starter kit to the modest to the more elaborate and expensive. They have all accessories you need to get something started and many of them are in the discount bin so it's easy to set someone up with everything they need, rather than just handing them a hookah and letting them know they are on their own with the tongs, aluminum foil, charcoal, and everything else. Also they currently have a check-in offer on the yelp app for 5% off of the order, which was a nice added bonus. Outstanding service. Great selection. Fantastic prices (I spent less in person for everything than I found on Amazon and elsewhere) before even factoring in the 5% discount. My favorite one line review in the history of yelp is David N.'s review of this place: "It's like a candy store for adults who like to smoke." Amazing! I have never been to a place like Texas Hookah before. Everything about it is legit. They have the largest collection and options on shisha. They have brands I can't find else where and prices that will blow your mind. I actually had a hard time choosing what kind of shisha to get - first time ever. I was also looking at all of the hooka's and they are beautiful and priced so reasonably. I paid $100 dollars for the hooka I have and I got it in Austin. It's very generic looking and only has one hose. I saw glass blown hookas, travel hookas, hematite hookas, crystal hookas and then regular glass hookas. The owners here are VERY nice and helpful. This review is long over do. This is the best hookah store EVER! I didn't appreciate this place until I moved. I tried hookah stores near my area but none of them compare so I drive 20 min to their store even if I need something as small as coal. The staff there are amazing. They are well educated on EVERYTHING, extremely helpful, and honest. I usually go in telling them what I am looking for and they end up finding everything for me. Their recommendations are always spot on. Oh and I can't forget that everything is reasonably priced. If you love hookah this will be your toys r us. Really wanted to buy from this store because of reviews and choice of inventory. However, I walked in today and no one ever acknowledged me nor asked if I needed help. Even stood at counter, two of the guys never looked at me, a third guy looked at me then turned away like I wasn't standing there.. So I walked out after browsing. Only one other customer in store and no one was helping her either. Unless they helped her prior to me entering. Took my money to Smoke Dreamz on Richmond. This place is super awesome. Low prices, ridiculous selection, and it's all about actual Hookah usage. I used to have to go to head shops for shisha, and I hate feeling like everyone in the store thinks I'm in their secret pot smoking club. I'm not. I just like hookah-ing. The family that runs the place is Egyptian (I think) and really know their stuff. Plus they're adorable and very helpful. They had a sale on Fantasia shisha, 50g for 5 bucks, and it's really good stuff. The hookah's they have range from modern western ones to ornate traditional ones, and they're all priced very reasonably. The prices are shifty. You can buy shisha from them online for at least 25% cheaper or more than in store. All the deals they have in store are generally more expensive than online and I have not received good service yet. Some friend's of mine have shopped there and not received bad service, but when the attendant tells me, "Well, do you want it or not," as his way of avoiding the fact starbuzz is $20 online and wanted to charge me $30 in store is upsetting. Their hookahs are not bad, but there are other places to get them cheaper in town and in stock. Just have to do a little research. It is nice to have a place in Houston with a large selection, but I would order online if you can wait the time it takes to ship. I would consider this a last minute place to shop if you are in need for a hookah fix. read more

I'm not a person that knows much about Hookahs but a friend recommended going to Texas Hookah to go check it out. I got a nice gentlemen on the phone that was very helpful on telling me the differences between the hookahs and the sishas (I think that's how you spell it lol). He was also pretty funny lol. The other cool thing is that he told me about the different ways you could smoke hookah since they also have a hookah lounge. Apparently you can use a pineapple and all kinds of crazy fruits to use as a bowl. Anyways I bought a cool little hookah from them a few years ago and have been buying all my hookah products from them ever since. I bought a 24 inch 3 hose hookah for my bf's bday and it came with 2 tobacco's, a roll of coals, mouth pieces, carrying case, etc etc all for a special price of $64.99. I couldn't believe it to be honest. Its not the super fancy one but it is absolutely beautiful. I paid for regular shipping opting to not pay to upgrade to 2 day shipping. Love this place. Small store, yet huge selection. Anything hookah-related that you need, they definitely have it. There are several smoke shops near my home, yet I gladly drive to the other side of town simply because their selection is much larger. I've never had bad customer service and I've been there at least 7-8x.
