Paid this owner a good amount of money to damage my belongings. This owner has a ton of reviews that all say the same thing... The owner tried to blame his movers carelessness of screwing up my fridge by removing the doors and putting dents in the sides because it was a last min move. Then why take my money? BS... The owner won't take responsibility for anything caused by his movers. Hires cheap labor and he is getting paid well. Im filing a claim on his insurance. Absolutely do not use this company for any reason! We used them for a cross Texas move. We paid for three guys to move our items and only two showed. The two showed two hours late. They damaged the walls in our previous home. The owner of the company, Roy, refuses to compensate for the damaged wall and told us that "you have to budget for damages during a move". We have no recourse because the two movers have our belongings and will not release them until we give cash. We cannot dispute the work in anyway unless we want to lose our belongings. Most of the work this company is doing is under the table. We absolutely regret using this company and fear what our belongings look like once we receive them. I will update the review then. Update: The actual movers were nice guys in a tough situation. They are not properly equipped to move an entire household. We have made multiple long distance moves and this was by far our worst mover experience. I forgot to mention previously that the truck sent was too small and we were offered to pay for a U-Haul and additional time. We have unloaded everything and there are multiple items damaged. Everything negative written about this company is true, I experienced all of it. I am still finding damage to my belongings. Items that I requested have gentle handling, and assured by Roy they would, were just piled with everything else. Had they been damaged no compensation would have been enough. Broken plant stands, not to mention badly damaged plants. All of which I asked Roy about before the move. I am an 83 years old woman and I needed their help and trust. Absolutely awful. Could not have been worse, and I hate hyperbole. Roy is wholeheartedly and intentionally dishonest and will say anything to get your money. One major selling point was his touting how all of our belongings were insured and would be taken care of, regardless of mishaps. We wanted everything moved in one day so we did not have to take extra time off work. Thousands of dollars worth of damage ON TOP of literal FRAUD: we were quoted $2,880 for a COMPLETE move from Ft. Worth to College Station. We were not shopping for a discount; we wanted the best company for the job. After less than half our belongings were moved, Roy (owner) quoted us $1,400 to move the rest. That's illegal. Roy offered to send his largest 48' trailer AND a 26' truck with 5 movers in order to get our move completed in one day. They were set to begin between 7-8am. 4 guys showed up reeking of weed well after 12pm with one medium sized trailer. I don't care what you do with your own time, but when you're stoned and break my belongings, it becomes my problem. One of the first things they did was shatter my Mac Display, which they don't make anymore, because THEY PICKED UP A DESK WITHOUT MOVING THE SCREEN. After about 4.5hrs of these unprofessional movers mis-prioritizing our belongings, they told us the trailer was full. Roy called after 5pm to explain the situation. He expected us to go rent a 26' truck and have his guys finish loading what should've already been taken care of if he delivered what he promised! This was before he told us it would be another $1,400 if we wanted him to finish the job he was hired to do. We told them to move what they had loaded. We did not have one single complete room for us to setup in our new house. Not only were they amateurs, but they were careless, lazy, colorblind and illiterate (see below). We packed up 90% of our belongings and color coded the boxes as well as added labels for every room in which we expected them to be moved. The movers not only asked where every. single. box. went, because they refused to look at the colors/read the label, but they started LITERALLY throwing our stuff into our new house and "stacking" boxes and furniture sideways. Pieces that were not broken on the journey were destroyed as they brought it into our house. List of items damaged/destroyed: 27-inch Apple Thunderbolt Monitor, Ashley Furniture Bookcase & two Ashley Dressers (they broke a leg off a $1,500 dresser), three brand new clothing racks, and several other smaller items that we're discovering as we unpack. We're also missing items from the move (they stopped somewhere for over an hour along the way) on top of having things taken from the old house when these guys were the only ones who knew how to get in. We're currently working with a lawyer to deal with Roy and Texas Movers Direct because he was unwilling to cooperate and make things right when given the chance. My first issue was that the three employees made me sign the invoice and pay the total bill prior to them unloading the truck. I was reluctant about doing this but I was left with no choice. As the owner's three employees were unloading the truck, I asked one of their guys if they had moving equipment to prevent scratching the floor. They told me that they were the moving equipment which implied that they were not planning to use anything besides their own strength. They ended up leaving a large gouge in my brand new, commercial grade, vinyl plank flooring. When I called the owner, he told me that I had to be very specific to his employees not to scratch the floor. Apparently not scratching the floor is not common sense and I had to be very specific about that request to his employees. His guys also did not move our fridge inside, they tried through the front door but was not successful. When I suggested they go through the back door, they just told me it wouldn't fit. The movers didn't even try to measure and see if it would fit. Later that day I moved it through the back door by myself with no problems and it fit just fine. Once they finished unloading the truck, I had to ask them to help unload my personal truck as they were unable to fit everything in their moving truck. This seemed to come at a reluctance to the employees, however, they did help me unload my truck. The most upsetting situation that came of this is that the owner was incredibly rude to my wife and began yelling at her through the phone. My wife was extremely upset about the whole situation and how she was spoken too. He called her repeatedly after she would hang up just to yell more obscenities through the phone. He then would continue to fight over the phone with me and escalated the situation. Lastly, he continued to text me and curse me out via text message, which I still have copies of those messages. When I told him I would post his messages he stated the BBB was nothing but a bunch of extortionists. I refuse to ever use their company again and recommend using extreme caution for anyone who considers them. Since this experience with this company, I have placed a review on the BBB website where the owner mailed me a letter stating that he did not recall any of the information I placed in my review. I waited a long time to place a BBB review and officially complain as I later found out after the move of some unsettling things about the owner via public record and did not feel safe for the sake of my family to make an official complaint. The owner stated in his letter that he has been in business for over 30 years, and I am deeply afraid for anyone who uses this company. Do not use this so-called movers. They will take your furnitures load it up then demand payment before delivery.. after jacking up the price tremendously. One of the movers was drunk. Don't use this company! If I could give less stars, I would. Complete joke and no disregard for your belongings. I have a broken refrigerator, broken antique vanity, broken antique wall hangings, broken garage door, and a big mess. Worked from 9am until midnight and still have a mess. After refusing to pay the full amount that the owner was trying to charge me, he called the cops. Needless to say, I paid $225 less than he was trying to invoice me for. It will cost me more than $225.00 to get these items fixed. Roy told me to have all my friends, family, and anyone I know to write a bad review online, so here it is. We moved my parents from the DFW area to deep east Texas, and these guys were professional, courteous, careful, attentive, hard-working and great to work with. The packing and moving took over 10 hours, and they worked hard the entire time -- except when we took a quick break for lunch. The unloading the next morning only took 3-4 hours, and they helped set up and move the furniture just where we wanted it. I heartily recommend them. read more

These movers are so unprofessional. They did not use appropriate equipment to ensure belongings were secure and were protected from the elements during transport. Stay Away! The worst moving company I have ever dealt with. Hours late. Old beater truck, not dressed professionally and that was the good part. Owner tried to extort more money than the agreed upon price. Threatened to alternatively steal and or damage my property if I didn't pay them more money. When I offered to call the sheriffs Dept. He unleashed a string obscenities wherein he maligned my personal appreance, made disparaging remarks about my mother (whom he has never met), discussed incest and then when that didn't have the intended effect he changed tactics and started a new tirade with some the most dispicable racist and homophobic comments I have ever heard in person. This is with his 2 minority employees in the background. Even though I am not a member of the groups that we which he directed his remarks h clearly intended his slurs to be intended as insults to myself. I read the two previous reviews to late. read more

Buyer beware! They made a $525 charge to my credit card, then when they emailed me the credit authorization and invoice I did not agree with the terms and conditions and asked the money be refunded just three hours after it was charged. The owner told me on at least six occurrences in writing he would refund the money, was trying to refund the money, or had already refunded the money. This started in early May 2018 and now he is refusing to refund the money. read more

I wish I do not write this. I waited over a month to let it go and still have flush-back from this man. I felt I need to tell others help make informed decision. He is one of the most dishonest people I met. He is disrespectful and derogatory. I am old enough but have never experienced such a rude treatment before. People deserve to treat each-other with respect. My furniture were handled with negligence and have broken valuable furnitures and misplaced parts. He has very poor attitude and demeanor, is very disorganized, does not make proper plan of work, does not come with materials needed for packing. Your time will be wasted while wandering back and forth. He kept my stuff in the truck captive and demanded four times the quoted invoice in CASH. I am talking about $4,400.00 in cash! Who on earth caries that much cash in his pocket? The invoice he quoted was $1,060.00 with possibility of going to a maximum of $1,250.00. I had all the evidences and thought about obtaining law enforcement, but did not want to waste my time any more since I already missed a work day due to intentional dalliance. My move experience was a daymare. I do not recommend TMD for any other person. I would like to make an exception of one man in the team who attempts to do the right thing, he probably has realized he is in the wrong team. read more

I don't get these other bad reviews...?? I had nothing but a great experience with TMD. They price was great that the owner quoted me himself. The movers arrived on time and finished ahead of schedule. They packed my entire house and everything was taken care of perfectly! I definitely recommend. read more
