I'll be more specific next time....but this time--- oh Fido!! Per 'the lady' - "your dog became anxiety & bit his tongue".... that's a lie (she was lying to much, she couldn't even talk right!), my dog does not have anxiety and we've never been told by ANY groomer that we have an ANXIOUS dog. 'The lady' even went so far to say he bit his tongue and we tried calling both of you! Lies, Lies, Lies!! Not a single missed call or message on my phone! The lady even went so far to say you can bring them back....WHAAAAT! FOR WHAT!?! JUST GIVE ME A REFUND $175.00. I'm not letting anyone from FIDO rough them up again! FyI- my white dog is only 3 - he looks like a old man. We wanted a TEDDY BEAR CUT! #FAILFAILFAIL

The girl at the front couldn't get our phone number correct or what service we had asked for. This was to be our 3re time here. Everything on line was confirmed when I booked the appt. Fast forward 2.5 hours. No notification that Toby was ready. No text, call or email. When we started to call after 1.5 hours there was no answer. Just a recording. We continued to try to connect also by text- per their website . My husband finally went down to get Toby - when he got there he was told- they were behind and hadn't gotten to him yet. Unacceptable- no phone call advising, not answering the phone for over an hour- unacceptable, and then to boot - usi g the excuse they were behind. I'm not sure how that's except able when for that groomer Toby was the first one at 10:00. And not even an apology. 2.5 hours of him being in a cage. Ignored. And no communication. Then I get a text that my appt was cancelled. They have a policy that they charge without a 24 hour notice. I have a good mind to send them an invoice as well. We will not go back- the last time they neglected to call after he was done. And he spent 2 Hours waiting for us to call. service was poor. Communication - horrible. 1-

When I received Grizzly post tidy up he was shaking, still wet, and digging his claws into me. Once home I had to blow dry him myself only to discover he had 2 cuts. One inside of his ear and another on his inner leg. I expected a tidy trim but he had been completely shaved from belly button down and his entire tail hair had been cut off into a stub instead of trimmed. The groomer nor front desk associate mentioned anything and when I called to speak with management, I was told they would call back. It's now been 2 days with no returned call or concern for their negligence. $170 later and my dog has an uneven and unattractive underbelly and backside, shorter ear fluff (when we never asked for this to be cut) and trauma from being nicked in the process. For the price you can go somewhere that will actually care for your fur baby and communicate when things don't go as planned.

But after we got home, we noticed two patches on Murphy's back, which was concerning. What bothered us most was that no one mentioned it to us at pickup. Even if it was minor, we should have been told. Just sharing this because better communication would have made a big difference.

So happy & very grateful for Jacob & Kontota Mobile Grooming. We are new to TX & needed to find new…read moreeverything. We have a senior mini schnauzer who has hearing deficits & is a very loving but Omega personality. For months, we searched for a groomer here but were denied (unfamiliar senior dog w/ special needs, sign me up!). We ended up having to go back to his original groomer whenever we visited friends. It seems a good groomer is hard to find & are in high demand. Then someone mentioned looking for a mobile groomer so I could be around if he needed reassurance while processing yet another new situation. Dexter was picked up after the holidays from a new boarder & definitely traumatized & very dirty. Long story short, Kontota returned our call promptly & scheduled our guy for the next day. Jacob showed up on time, listened thoroughly & despite the cold, made our guy feel as comfortable & safe as possible (btw, you cannot stay in the van but it was a nice thought my friend had). In the end Jacob went above & beyond & worked so hard. No mats & my boy is so much happier & showed up at our door to run around the house to play. What magic does this young man possess to take an older deaf traumatized dog & deliver a renewed wagging pup scampering again? Completely worth every penny & he is very happy to have Dexter as a repeat client. Our little old man is going to settle in just fine. Thank you Jacob!

I do not write negative reviews lightly, but after today I feel other pet owners should be aware of…read morethe direction this clinic has taken. I currently care for over 21 dogs and have used Hooves and Paws extensively for years. In the last six months alone I have spent thousands of dollars here. They have handled nearly every aspect of my dogs' veterinary care -- including litters, C-sections, puppy evaluations, vaccinations, tail docks, dew claw removals, sick visits, and routine exams. In addition to owning many dogs, I am also a breeder and active exhibitor in the conformation and performance dog world, so veterinary care is something I take extremely seriously. I also own a grooming business and have referred many of my grooming clients, friends, and family members to this clinic over the years. Because of that long history and the amount of business I've brought through their doors, what happened today was incredibly disappointing. My dog has been urinating on herself and I suspected a UTI. She was last seen at this clinic about three months ago, so she is an established patient in their system. I called the clinic first thing this morning and asked what I needed to do. The receptionist told me I could collect a urine sample and bring it in for testing. So I did exactly that. I drove there with the urine sample, only to be told when I arrived that they would not test it unless I paid for a full exam as well, despite the fact that the dog was not even with me and I had followed the instructions I was given over the phone. Had I been told an exam was required, I would have simply brought her in so she could receive the treatment she likely needs. Instead, because of the incorrect information I was given, she now has to go another day potentially uncomfortable and possibly in pain while I make other arrangements. This is exactly the kind of experience that has become more and more common since the clinic went corporate. Prices continue to climb and it increasingly feels like clients are being nickel and dimed at every opportunity, even when it contradicts what they were told beforehand. What is most frustrating is that this situation could have been avoided with simple transparency. Had I been told on the phone that an exam would be required, I would have scheduled one or made other arrangements. Instead, I wasted my time making a trip based on incorrect information. After years of bringing significant business to this clinic -- both personally and through referrals -- today was the final straw. I will be moving all of my dogs' care elsewhere, and unfortunately I can no longer recommend Hooves and Paws to my grooming clients, friends, family, or fellow dog owners in the community. When a long-time client who manages a large number of dogs and regularly refers other pet owners feels this way, it should be taken seriously. As someone active in the breeder and dog show community, conversations about veterinary care come up frequently among fellow exhibitors, breeders, and pet professionals. Experiences like this inevitably become part of those discussions, which makes situations like today even more disappointing.
