We have been taking our 3 dogs (2 doodles, 1 yorkie) to Salty Dawg since they opened on Main. Our…read morepups love going and come back looking great. Appointments are easy to get and the grooming process usually doesn't take too long. Like that they send pics of the dogs getting groomed too.

Honestly, I am only giving 1 star because ,I can't rate them without it. My pup was one of their…read morefirst pups since they first open. She has picture's on there site and even have use her pics for training and showing off that they were dyeing pups. I absolutely loved this place and the VIP room. The problem started a little over two weeks ago. I made an appointment and went in. I forgot to tell the groomer something I needed done. The groomer that called me back was not her groomer. She informed me the groomer was no longer with them and had quit. She said I will get help grooming her, weird but, okay. I left called and called back in because I was concerned about the change in groomers and ask for the owner. I was not informed that her groomer for two years was no longer there. I explained that I was extremely concerned with my pups well being at all times. She then informed me that they were under new ownership and pup would be well taken care of. I was never informed of the ownership change. They sent picture shortly after I hung up. I could tell it was going badly. I text and informed them that I didn't like how she was being groomed. I told them I would be there immediately and to stop the service. I was on my way (15 minute max ).They were confused on how to groom her after being given the same specific instructions I always give. She had a toe nail that was healing from her last visit. I informed them not to clip her nails if there was any resistance because, she had a vet visit and I preferred they did it. On my way there I received a text message that were not trimming her nails. I arrived and they brought my pup out from the private room. My beautiful extremely well kept golden doodles face looked like a blown out lions face and hair was flying everywhere. I look down start screaming my dog is walking and blood prints are on the floor. Blood is dripping everywhere. They can't deny it because ,it's recorded. They had her in that private room alone and didn't even know she was bleeding with no urgency or treatment. I even had to ask for styptic powder myself to treat my dog. The owner offered me 20% off when I got there, 50% when I complained about the groom when I first saw her my pup, and then said it was free when she was bleeding everywhere. I took my dog to her vet I racked up several bills for prescriptions including antibiotics and pain meds, cone collar, protective boot, nail trim. Oh and guess what her ears were not cleaned and plucked, and no anal expression had been done. They probably never cleaned her teeth. I would not have known because they are already in great shape. . I wonder how many times they have done this. Be very careful and think twice before you drop your pet off.
