Great, fun environment but I've gotten some poor service there before. I used a coupon for a free appetizer with my entree and got the chicken tender basket. The waitress seemed upset about the coupon. When the appetizer came out, it was dismally disappointing. Normally priced at 8 bucks, it was like 3 small chicken tenders and a skimpy portion of fries. She was nice enough to put my sons order in first, so he didn't get fussy while we got our food. His food came out within five minutes and surely he was satisfied. Try the sangria! The family is making our annual visit to Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Mecca of baseball. We spent Sunday night in Arnold, MO and decided to eat dinner at the local Texas Roadhouse. We arrived about 8:30pm and there was no wait for a table. The hostess seated us in one of their rooms off to the side. Turned out, that section was quite crowded and noisy. Luckily for us, two large parties left a few minutes after we sat down and we had the whole room to ourselves. Our friendly waitress took drink orders and returned with them quickly. For several of us, this was our first visit to any Texas Roadhouse, and the waitress was patient while we labored over the menu. Lots of choices, various portion sizes, and quite a list of sides to select from. Once we were ready, so was she. We had ordered no appetizers and appreciated that the food arrived in a timely manner. Had to stop my step-daughters from eating too many bread rolls, lest they fill up on only bread. Our meals included two filets, a rib-eye, prime rib, and grilled shrimp, with a range of side dishes - Caesar salad, French fries, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce. Everything looked and tasted great, and all the meat was cooked to specifications. The waitress kept our glasses full, and we all left stuffed and happy. A pretty mean feat when the party includes two teenage girls that are finicky eaters. Texas Roadhouse isn't cheap (about $30/person) but was definitely worth it. read more

We just had one of the best meals including exceptional service. When we arrived we were seated immediately and or server Ryan (in the bar area) took our drink order. My husband and I ordered the Sirloin dinner, 8 oz and 16 oz. the steaks were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend trying this place, for a chain restaurant I was impressed. read more

As always, the steak was cooked exactly how I asked for it. The waitress was very attentive and brought us more rolls than we needed. We bought 1 kids meal for our kids and it was big enough for them to split (4 and 7 year old). The only downside to this visit was that we had to wait about 40 minutes for a table (which we didn't mind, as we have always had good experiences at this location), and the other weird thing my wife and I both noticed was they only had 1 blow dryer to dry your hands in the bathroom, and it was situated so close to the sink that if someone was washing their hand you could not use it. read more

Ordered food online, the order wasn't ready on time, 2 out of 3 of our steaks were 1/4 each we're not edible just grizzle. Packaging was not very efficient. No napkins or utensils were provided I expect these to be included with to go orders. I have dinned inside previous and the service & food where much better in person. This was our 1st visit to the Texas Roadhouse; we had to try the Wild Wednesday where an 11 oz. Sirloin was $11.99 with two sides. what a value for steak these days. Our steaks were flavorful and cooked just right. All of their beef is hand cut in the restaurant on display in a chilled case. The Caesar salads were huge and could have been shared. I had a loaded baked potato with cheddar cheese and real bacon bits. Our server was just great; she took the time to tell us about the restaurant; she anticipated our every need and made sure we did not run out of the home baked rolls and sweet tea The place is a bit noisy, but great for families because it is affordable. Fabulous food but I could t help but be distracted by the waitresses behind the front counter. My family's table was right behind them and one them kept looking over the wall and staring at my son and then Turing around and laughing. My son believes he knows who she was. The narrow aisles cause frequent traffic jams, and irritated looks from waiters trying to get through. Great steaks. Dinner was delicious and everyone is so friendly from the time you walk into the door, to our waitress. When they delivered our steak they asked that we cut into it to make sure it was cooked properly. Very customer oriented and great atmosphere. They have changed their Sirloin Tips to Sirion Shreds!!!!! They are not the big juicy chunks you use to receive and you can no longer order cooked to the temperature you want but to medium well!!! We wasted $30 and wont be back to order that anymore when it use to be our familys favorite ! Manager said it was a Corporate decision but I would tell corporate that it was wrong to jeopardize something that customers liked and craved!! My husband and I decided to try the Sirloin steak. I called in for carry out, Elissa told me they had a sirloin special, 8 oz sirloin, 3 shrimp, 2 sides, for $9.99. Told her would call back when we decided on the sides, asked for her again, she was so sweet, hate to say most places I call for carryout do not even know what is on the menu or bring up a special. I prefer making my own steaks, most places around here to not impress me. I picked up the food, Elissa was sweet as could be and the food was wonderful! Things happen. It's how you respond/handle it that makes the difference. Alexis was awesome! My steak came out and looked great. 3 bites in I pulled a n 8 inch black hair off the steak. I understand that even with the best precautions things like this happen so there is no reason for me as a customer to act badly about it. I signaled a waitress and asked her if she could get Alexis.. before doing so she asked me if there was an issue. I told her, she apologized and quickly took the steak away and started a new one. Soon after Alexis followed up to let me know it was on the way and she too apologized. I said, no worries, things happen. So not long after they brought me a new steak, a loaded potato and more mushrooms. The manager delivered it an he too apologized and again I stated, no worries....things happen. The steak was great! So at the end of the meal Alexis again apologized and informed us that the steak was on them. The staff at this location is absolutely horrid. I made a reservation and when I came in that night they confirmed my reservation and then sent me off to go sit in the waiting area with my party for 20 minutes. What's the point of the reservation if you can't even hold my seat? The waiting staff has a tendency of standing off to the side chatting with other staff while their section is in need of them. We started off with the cactus bloom, which was okay I guess, I wouldn't get this to share with just 2 people because its really greasy, I only took maybe 4 bites. Next we ordered our entrees, they said the sides are one of their "popular things," I wasn't impressed. My husband got a salad that was supposed to be legendary, it looked pretty normal and not exciting to me. I ordered a steak medium and it was OK, my plate was a bit oily and the steak was medium well, but it wasn't a big deal. My husband ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs and they came out looking dry as if they had been left in the sham most of the night, I understand we came in a bit late, but still don't send out tough dry ribs. Even covered in sauce I could look and tell they weren't good. He tried to eat them as we were very hungry. I'm guessing the server noticed he didn't like them because after she took the plate a manager came over to check on us, at that time my husband told her how he felt about his plate. I called on a Saturday around 2pm because we were taking my mom out to dinner for her 65th birthday that evening at 7pm. We have a large family and I was calling to give a heads up for our group. We had a group of 16. I was put through to the large party coordinator. The gentlemen was very rude. He stated that he could not take a party of 16. I was taken aback a little bit because I did not expect this response. I wasn't calling for a reservation. Just to give a heads up that we were coming in. I asked him "what if we just would have shown up? Would you have turned us away?" He repeated that he could not take a party of 16. I understand that it is a large party. We have went many places over the years and understand that there will be a wait and that most likely we will be split up and sat at different tables. I told him no thank you and called a local family owned restaurant near The Hill in St. Louis and was greeted courteously. I explained what we needed. They do not take reservations,but were very thankful that we called ahead because they can then sit tables a certain way. When we got there they were very busy and another large party of 14 had just arrived before us. We were seated within 20 minutes of us getting there. I know why I like family owned instead of chain restaurants. Me and my party of 16 will not visit this Texas Roadhouse. I have been sure to tell as many people about my experience as I can. If he would have been at least willing to listen or discuss the situation this would have ended differently. read more
