We hadn't been to Billy G's in quite some time, but was on my list to visit soon! We love that they have a huge patio and are so dog friendly. We hand a bit of a wait, but that was to be expected since it was a nice (but very hot) day out. The patio was busy but not packed. The hostess was aware that we had a large dog, but still placed us in a very odd spot on the patio - with high rise tables squished together. We also had a decent amount of sun, so we couldn't stay long as it was just too hot and we didn't have a lot of space. They did also seat an elderly woman at the high top table behind us, who came in with a walker. I found that odd too - to make her try ti climb up in the chairs. Thankfully we were there to help her. Service was ok. Our waitress visited our table a few times at first but then disappeared for a long time before we could get another drink or eventually our check. Aside from the seating and most of the service, our visit was fine. Food was good. My drink was very strong but still fine. It was definitely a different experience than i remember from the past, so I was a tad disappointed. I really avoid this place because every time I come, the food is not good. However there was an event that I'll was invited to for happy hour and of course I came. Our server was nice and attentive. He was always there agent we needed him and he checked in with us. The happy hour drink specials are nice. $7 wine and sangria. I want going to order anything because I dislike the food. I didn't listen to myself and ordered spinach dip. How bad could it be? Well, pretty bad. Our was bland and too creamy. The chips were hard and not salty like you would expect them to be for tortilla chips. I didn't complain, just ate a little and that's it. The drinks were really good. So many gnats around, it was awful, and we sat inside. They have a really nice patio for live bands. So for me, the food is always a miss but the drinks are good. read more

We went on a Friday night around 8 p.m., and despite how busy they were and how nice the weather was, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated so quickly! There was live music on the patio and a great crowd, which gave the whole place such a lively, fun atmosphere. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night. We ordered a margarita and a glass of Prosecco, and both came out pretty quickly. Our food followed shortly after and everything arrived hot and fresh! The sausage and peppers pasta was fresh and absolutely delicious. The pork steak was MASSIVE, bone-in, and incredibly tender--it literally broke in half when I picked it up to box the leftovers! The cornbread that came with it was moist and savory rather than overly sweet, which I really enjoyed. We also tried the garlic shrimp appetizer. The shrimp themselves were clearly good quality and cooked perfectly, but the sauce was a little underwhelming and could have used more flavor. It definitely wasn't a complete miss, though, because the shrimp weren't overcooked and still had a great flavor on their own. We've frequented the Chesterfield location a few times (for pickup), and have been pretty satisfied. Unfortunately, this location did not live up to our expectations. It was a busy Sunday, so our food came out much later than expected. 40+ minutes for 2 sandwiches might be a bit much on a regular Sunday afternoon. If the food has been on point, that could have been overlooked. However, my husband's burger was overcooked, and my chicken sandwich had two terrifying pieces of lettuce and no sauce, which I requested on the side (mayo instead of aioli). The chicken was cooked perfectly, but unfortunately lacked all seasoning, including salt. The food was subpar, but had so much potential with a few tweaks. Unfortunately, you don't frequent a restaurant for the potential. Anyway, the fries were pretty good. We requested whatever condiments were available, and received 2 small containers of ketchup, which for us personally, wasn't enough for our food. Location was cute, particularly the outside dining area. Parking was a pain. Service was friendly enough. As of now, I don't feel like we'll be returning to this particular location. read more

Came here for a late on a Sunday lunch after a failed attempt to order at two other places nearby. We were able to be seated outside quickly, but inside there was a 20-minute wait. We had a trainee as our waitress, who was just okay. Friendly enough but failed to inform us that food would take over 45 minutes after ordering due to large parties inside, and she failed to keep us informed during the wait. The more senior waitress waitress to our table was better after she realized what was happening. (We had two young children at our table who were getting hungry and restless!) Food was fine. I ordered the Cajun Benedict, which didn't taste particularly Cajun. I think it was just the andouille sausage that made it Cajun. The portion size was good, and it tasted fine. I took my oldest daughter here for lunch, she was in the area and is expecting so thought she may appreciate some rest time. I'm familiar with the local chain but it was my first time here. We both tried different burgers with fries, I just had a standard burger with cheese and I always ask for my fries to be crispy. Some times that turns out to be an effort in vain as my goal is to get the hottest fries possible. It worked here. My daughter is a GF eater and ordered her food that way. I mean it's really hard to mess up a burger but both were fine. With the GF my daughter got fries and she enjoyed them as well. The server did well, when we got there we were the 2nd party being seated (just opened at 11) and we had a quiet place to talk but by the time we left it was quite noisy. This is a family type place during the day, or at least it was that day, with nothing (no curtains or rugs) to absorb the sound so it became tough to talk. I recommend Billy G's for a casual lunch or dinner and the gotcha here is parking. There's construction going on so some of the closer parking is not available. (August 2026). read more

First, kudos to the manager on duty Sunday evening February 1st; I think his name is Jethro. We had some last minute changes to large group reservation and he was most accommodating. Our server Tillie, was wonderful. She brought water for everyone and took orders for drinks and appetizers. Beverages came out right away; and salads & apps were served promptly. The restaurant was nearly full, but it didn't take long at all for entrees to arrive, all at the same time. Everyone enjoyed their selections. I ordered house salad plus chicken, very good and with a generous amount of grilled chicken. The BBQ ribs looked fantastic, definitely trying that next time. Came for lunch with my sister, we had a short wait but nothing outrageous for a Friday afternoon. We split the spinach artichoke dip, my sister got the shrimp tacos, and I got the French dip. Came here on a Saturday night at 10pm. Was able to get seated right away. Staff was very friendly and loved talking about the history of the restaurant and St. Louis. Food was very good. I had the Brisket plate, small pizza and gooey cheesecake. Brisket was very tender and flavorful. Pizza was St. Louis thin crust. It looks light but it was nice and heavy. Gooey cheesecake was definitely the right choice. Wish the slices were bigger though! Tonight was an unacceptable outlier! We've enjoyed Billy G's for years, and they have one of the best patios for live music. We've generally had good experiences there, a few that were so-so, but tonight was awful! The sign out front reads "see hostess inside for patio seating, so we made our way to the hostess stand. I asked the young lady that greeted us if we needed to be seated for the chairs along the railing, or just tables? I was told "just the tables, other chairs are open seating". Then I asked to confirm that there were servers for the chairs on the railing, to which she replied "yes, but only for drinks and apps". Perfect - that's what we wanted. We proceeded to sit at two bar stools along the railing in front of the stage, and waited to be served. And waited. And waited. And waited. No one ever acknowledged that we were there, much less took our order. The waitress serving the three tables next to us visited them repeatedly, but never so much as made eye contact with us. After about 20 minutes, I walked back to the hostess stand and asked "do you know who is supposed to be our server? We've been there 20 minutes, and no one has helped us." The hostess said she'd check into it, and I went back to my seat. Over the next 15 minutes, the same server visited the three tables near us, but never acknowledged us. Then, another server waited on a lady sitting at the fir pit. I'd hoped that maybe she was going to help us, but she took the one order and walked back inside. WE WALKED OUT! Like I said, once loved the place. Not sure if they can't keep good staff, or if their success at the location has left them feeling like they no longer need to try, but the place has definitely lost the magic it once had. read more

Had a wonderful brunch experience at Billy G's with some friends! We were seated right away and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. They had a Bloody Mary, mimosa, and coffee bar that was fantastic. I got the Bloody Mary and they had several different mixes to choose from along with cheese cubes, pickles, banana peppers, stuffed olives, crispy bacon, and so much more. For mimosas they had different fruit juices along with fruits. We orders the BIG cinnamon roll for the table and it's H U G E and yummy! Highly recommend ordering one to share. Very quick for a sit-down service! It was a sports bar/casual atmosphere with a lot of televisions to watch sports. Mainly golf. Pretty good bar, good food, everything was above average other than this silly bearded bartender with an acorn necklace and calf warmers like he was about to go run an ultramarathon- it was every bit as ridiculous of a sight as you could ever imagine. This jerk apparently didn't like the fact that my friends and I got rowdy for our team's game and he clearly labeled us as absurdly drunk and quit serving us.... I can PROMISE you, we weren't. Were we loud? YES! Were we having fun? YES! But did we do anything that was disrespectful or dangerous to anyone else? Not at all. This guy is a stick in the mud, and we won't be back. Don't come here if you want to have a good time and expect to do something other than golf clap for your team. When you're in Kirkwood, you cannot go wrong when you dine at Billy G's. We both enjoyed an Extra Dry Vodka (Tito's) Martini, with olives as a garnish. They were so good, I had to have a second one. My friend remained strong and only had one, but she enjoyed hers as much as I did mine. They truly were a masterfully made cocktail. My friend is doing low-carb, so she ordered their Backyard chicken wings and chose Bleu Cheese for dipping. The wings were a BBQ dry-rub and must of been good, she cleaned those bones like a pro. I went with their, Gianino's Salad with Gianino's House dressing. I went with the starter size, but added Grilled Shrimp. The salad is a Romaine and Iceberg mix with, STL style cheese, (code for Provel) mushroom, green onion and pimento. Adding the shrimp was a smart decision, it truly made it a great lunch. We visited Billy G's for our monthly book club. The location had easy to find parking and we didn't have to wait long for a table. The music and atmosphere were so loud that we couldn't hear each other from the opposite sides of the table and even had trouble hearing the server when he took our order. The reason for the 3 stars was the food itself. I am not a picky eater but was taken aback by how salty the burger was. A couple of us got a burger and we all had a hard time with the saltiness. I was also surprised the burger did not come with lettuce, tomato, or onion. I asked the server after we got our food and was told it would be an additional cost, and that I only had lettuce on mine because I asked for a lettuce wrapped burger instead of the bun. It was surprising to hear lettuce tomato or onion wasn't a standard offering for the burgers. I don't know if I'll return to Billy G's, the service was nice but the food and atmosphere were not something I would pay for again. read more

They have some pretty great happy hour specials. $6ish dollars for house wine, beer, well cocktails, and cans. We ordered some white wine and ended up getting dinner, so no HH food options for us. I love their house salad, so I got that with chicken. My mom got the chicken spedini and always has great things to say about it. Our server was so busy but still attentive, definitely appreciated. I recently visited Billy G's on a Saturday night at 5 PM with a group of 9, and we had made reservations almost a week in advance. Almost immediately upon arrival, we were seated at a spacious table towards the back of the restaurant. They were packed! Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard all night, but I would have loved to sit out on their comfortable heated patio. The fire and string lights looked so cozy! My table ordered a variety of drinks, including their seasonal Harvest Margarita and Angry Orchard. Everything was great! The Harvest Margarita is made with Una Vida tequila, lime juice, simple, topped with apple cider, and it's served in the cutest mason jar with a cinnamon-sugar rim. I was impressed by their expansive menu! I debated between several different menu items before deciding on the Con Broccoli, which includes marinara + garlic parmesan cream sauce blend, broccoli, mushroom, and mini rigatoni. I ordered it without mushroom. The portion was HUGE! I easily could have split it with my friend who ordered the same thing as me. It's always nice to take home leftovers, though! Service was a bit slow, but totally understandable since we had such a large group and it was crowded. Our server also mixed up all of our checks when it was time to pay, but once again understandable because of our larger group. She resolved everything quickly. read more
