Look it's hard to not like Texas Roadhouse, because dem rolls amirite? We stopped in while waiting for meds at the Pharmacy, and we were pleasantly surprised! It was five pm on a Friday night, so not yet busy - we were greeted immediately by super friendly staff. They even held onto our stroller for us. We were also seated immediately. Our server brought us bread basket after bread basket, we never had to ask. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the mango margarita is HUGE and well mixed/made, our food came out quick too. Only reason I'm docking a star is the my potato was super hard and my daughters' kids burger was cold and a bit hard too. Everything else was pretty good!

Our family went for dinner, 7 of us. We got seated pretty quick, server was okay, we had 1 drink order, 1 took our food order, and anther 2 people to bring our dinner. It was all good. It was kinda busy, buy all in all it was a good dinner service. Perhaps I'll go again ‍

I am in between a 3 and 4 Stars for Texas Roadhouse in Freedom Crossing Fort Bliss. First of all I love having the option of eating in a Steak House on post, you simply do not get that in any post. The staff is caring and I love their T Shirts. I enjoy the restaurant setting/ambiance. Their steak and sides meet expectations. I didn't love the drinks, and their salad is mediocre, but I guess thats my fault for asking for a salad in a steak house. Their drinks can improve, I got a margarita and a pina colada and both tasted "cheap" a combination of cheap liquor and too sugary. Next time I am there in advance I'll request better liquor regardless of cost.

We love this location for dine in or a quick to go meal. Customer service is always wonderful and we love the to go family meals they currently offer. No complaints here! A great place to try on Bliss!

I can't say I haven't been here before because I have but this would be the very first time sharing my thoughts . This one is conveniently located at one of the biggest Army Base in the country which is Fort Bliss, TX. The dim lights give it a cozy ambiance. The staff were really friendly, they greet you at the door with all smiles. And they are very attentive. Now let's talk about the most important thing food and drinks. The finger licking good BBQ Ribs with it's tasty sauce, so tender it was falling off the bone. We also ordered their Wednesday special the sirloin steak. I wanted it cooked medium well just with enough pink in the center and not so rare! But, I think that was a mistake because it was a bit on the dry side. Lesson learned. I have to say they had a great variety of sides though: sweet, mashed, and baked potatoes, green beans, corn and more!!! But we all know that their bread is to die for! So soft and warm then add that butter and you're in heaven!!! So, the drinks is where the moneys at. You have got to try their Sangria's I had the Sangria Margarita on the rocks with sugar around the rim. I chose sugar not salt because I wanted something sweet. It was delish! Gave me my buzz.

Service was great but the food was just ok for what you pay for. Blooming onion was good but the main course food wasn't anything amazing.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, was busy with guests, and I was seated within just a few minutes of arriving. Unfortunately, the experience began to decline after I was seated. I waited approximately 10-15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. While waiting, I looked through the menu and was surprised to find it noticeably dirty, which wasn't the impression I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. When my server finally arrived, she was polite but didn't seem particularly welcoming or engaging. She appeared stressed, which made the service feel rushed rather than hospitable. I ordered a Diet Dr Pepper and my meal at the same time since I had already decided what I wanted. It then took another 10 or more minutes for my drink to arrive. Shortly afterward, someone delivered bread with honey butter, which was excellent. However, no bread plate, napkin, or silverware accompanied it, so I had to flag down another employee before I could enjoy it. After waiting another 20-plus minutes, my steak and fries finally arrived. I had ordered the steak medium rare, but it was burned on one side, barely seared on the other, and when I cut into it, it was blue rare--nearly raw. I asked my server to send it back, and she promptly took it to the kitchen. About 15 minutes later, a replacement steak arrived. Unfortunately, while the opposite side was now burned, the inside was cooked to medium well. I let my server know this was still unacceptable, and she asked if I would like another steak prepared. I agreed, requesting simply that it be cooked medium rare without being burned. To the restaurant's credit, the third steak was prioritized and delivered by who I believe was the manager. She asked me to cut into it to confirm it was cooked correctly. Although the replacement was noticeably smaller and thinner than the original, it was cooked to a proper medium rare, so I accepted it. By that point, however, my fries were completely cold. The manager apologized briefly but never returned to check on the meal or my overall experience. My server didn't return until I was nearly finished eating, at which point she asked if everything was okay. I simply requested the check. What should have been about a 30-minute dinner stretched to well over an hour, and after a long day of business travel, I was ready to return to my hotel. I wasn't expecting my meal to be completely comped, but after multiple mistakes and significant delays, a small gesture of goodwill--such as discounting the entrée or even comping the soda--would have gone a long way. Overall, this restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and I believe the food has the potential to be very good when prepared correctly. However, the service, management's follow-up, and overall attention to the guest experience fell well below what I would expect from a restaurant of this quality. I hope they can improve these areas because the restaurant certainly has the potential to provide an excellent dining experience.

As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

I was finna get the 6oz sirloin, which I have before and it's nice. Then I saw the 8oz Helen breast anyway you want it. Mmm I think I'll get that instead. Then I'm scanning on down the list and see 8 oz chopped round. With mushroom gravy. I can't do potatoes right now but I could do rice. And add a salad bar and some steamed broccoli, still only be about $21 and that's with the ice tea. And fresh baked bread and butter at the table. So I ordered that with gravy in the rice, cuz I likes gravy on it ALL, and I did add the Broccoli for $3.95 and a salad bar for $4.95. But she let me hold putting in the order so I could get most is the salad are before they started it. So I get it fresh, not sitting on my table for 20 minutes getting cold like last time I came when I barely got back to the table with the salad and they brought my steak out. The cook FAST here. Salad bar here is IMMENSE. And so many choices for salad, Romain, mixed greens or spinach, tons of toppings and at least 10 different kinds of dressings. At least 6 different what I call "prepared" salads like macaroni, potato, carrot, pea salad, beets and onion salad, some kind of angel hair with green online and bell peppers on olive oil and black pepper and a dash of vinegar? It's so good when they have it. Two soups always, today was tortilla and vegetable, which upon inspection looked more like a creamy potato with carrots and other veggies and diced potatoes of course, maybe they just had not changed it's name plate. I make a wonderful salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. Love chilled plates. When my lunch/dinner came it was on a huge round plate, the ground round was suspiciously SMALL. I used to work in a cafeteria and we sold 8oz chipped steaks and they were rice the size of what was in my plate. It actually really looked more like a hamburger patty. It would have fit perfectly on a small hamburger bun. If I had to guess I'd say head it's 1/3rd pound burger. Which is a tic over 5 oz. Not 8 ounces. The brucellosis was a large serving and bright green, and almost still raw. I could not cut it with a fork. I had to used a steak knife. I should have asked that it be steamed fork tender. That's on me, I guess. I just don't like "steamed" broccoli that still could pass as salad bar accoutrement. There was no gravy in the rice, even thought I expressly asked for gravy in the meat and rice. So as she sat the plate in front of me and asked if I needed any this else I said "gravy" and she said oh that's right it was supposed to be on the rice, I'll get some gravy. And a minute or so later another smiling lady brought me small bowl of gravy. The sweet tea was perfect. I even had a refill on that. The ground steak was cooked nicely, juicy and hot, the mushroom gravy was very flavorful and the rice pilaf was a perfect companion to it. I forgot to take pics, sorry, I just dug right in. This is still a great early dinner price and great choices. I'm definitely gonna get the 8 ounce chicken breast your way, next time. But which way shall I choose??? Decisions, decision!

Riddle me this. If you were a couple dining out during a major pandemic, and the restaurant you…read morewere dining in had ALL the free tables you could possibly choose from, would you sit at the ONLY table that just so happens to be like RIGHT next to the only other couple up in that joint?! Keep in mind these tables are less than the designated "safe space" of 6 feet away from each other. One couple did such a thing this evening. I wanted to smack them both over the damn head with my empty dinner plate I had just finished polishing off because the food was THAT good. But...since I'm clearly using this joke of a preamble to rant incessantly, we should probably get on with the actual review, yes? Yes. Let's-a-go! As at least one other review previously mentioned, Borderland Steakhouse is the replacement of the late Original Great American steakhouse. To cut right to the chase, I'll say it is a worthy successor to its stead. While not perfect, we WILL be coming back! As per usual, le wifey got the 10oz filet with the mac n' queso (yep, that's what they're calling it) whilst I went for my all time favorite...the grilled lobster tail. Only it didn't taste grilled. Eh....let's go over this real quick. So, we start off with our respective salads. Though I can only speak to the quality of the Caesar salad, I'll just say it was fine, but nothing to write home about. 7 out of 10. Now, like I said, the lobster tail didn't taste (or look) grilled. Maybe that's because we've been spoiled by the previous installment's version of grilled lobster tail. We're talking serious char, yo! But this....this one looked more like it was oven roasted (I mean, they even keep the shell attached). Which is fine, since the tail itself was tender and fully cooked. Couldn't really ask for much more than that. Though the menu description is a bit dubious when considering the basis for comparison. Anyway, this one gets an 8 out of 10. Tried the wifey's filet also. Despite her mishap in giving me the fatty piece, the part that mattered was pretty damn good. A solid 8 out of 10 for me. The sides, while not especially remarkable, were fine also. The wife mentioned something about the mac n' queso needing some salt and pepper, but that's it. Oh! But we need to discuss the grilled mushrooms though. These things....were burnt to a crisp. I was honestly shocked! Ordinarily, I like a bit of char on my grilled goodies. But these mushrooms were burnt, dry as day-old apricots on the inside, and basically inedible. I have no idea if the kitchen staff even have the ability to maybe cook these less next time, but we didn't ask, since we were too busy enjoying everything else anyway. Overall, I'd recommend checking this place out, if for no other reason than to support another local business. Most of the necessary safety precautions are in place, minus the daft couple sitting literally two feet away from us (not really the restaurant's fault). I'm gonna give Borderland Steakhouse 4 grilled lobster tails which taste suspiciously oven roasted out of 5.

The garden salad and Caesar salad were ok but nothing to write home about. My companion had the grilled shrimp with Mac and Queso, it was ok, but the shrimp was over cooked. The Ribeye is where it fell apart, over seasoned, extremely over cooked - I ordered it medium rare, and the meat was dark through, extremely gristly, and pockets of salt throughout. Honestly one of the worst steaks I have had - we keep wanting to like this steakhouse because it's the closest restaurant to our home but it's just getting worse. The main attraction seems to be the bar and live music outside..... so it that's what you are going for you will have a better experience - but the steakhouse is a non-starter

Our waitress brought a bottle of chilled water for us and got our drink order right away. We jumped right in with our drink selections and our food too. We were all on the hungry side, so it seemed a bit long of a wait, but the food was worth it. I don't even have pictures because everyone chowed down immediately! The steaks were perfectly cooked. My sister in law's salmon was exactly how she wanted it. Salads were fresh and not slathered in dressing. We walked away full, happy and satisfied with the dinner!

We were lied to the minute we walked in. We were told it would be a 10-minute wait. It was about a 25-minute wait. The server was nice until after seating us, as she decided not to serve us. She got our drink orders wrong and delivered them to the wrong guests. We had to play the matching game by sipping each other's drinks. And she never came by to refill. We had to ask. It took forever for us to order our food. And our food didn't get to us until almost an entire hour after ordering. Ummm that was horrible. We were sitting for almost two hours before food got to us. Two of our orders of steaks were ordered as medium-rare, and our steaks were dry AF. I told the waitress that we wanted a new steak, and she brought back the steak while flashing a flashlight over it to defend her cook, saying it is medium-rare and to look at it again. Never have I ever experienced a flashlight being used over our food to prove a non-valid point. At this point, I was so freakin hungry that I did not want to argue, and so I ate the dry steak. Do yourself a favor and take a drive to Victoria's Steakhouse. We were there a couple of days prior to visiting this restaurant and they have the perfect medium rare steak! Lol I wish that I could compare photos but didn't take any. Don't visit this place. You have been warned by myself and so many other reviews.

The restaurant's ambiance is striking, featuring Tulum/Riveria Maya-inspired decor that combines elements with modern aesthetics. The use of wood, metals, warm lighting, and overall dining room and outdoor terrace displays and creates an inviting dining experience. Service: The service is attentive and knowledgeable, with server who was eager to recommend several of the restaurant favorites. Not one dish we did not like-all amazing! Culinary Highlights: Mesquite Grilled Spanish octopus was Smokey yet savory. Cooked to perfection also served with Fingerling potatoes and salsa macha The bone-in ribeye (prime) cooked on a firewood grill was a true highlight of the menu, showcasing the restaurant's expertise in preparing a distinctively rich flavor entree. Cooked with beef tallow (no seed oils) chefs kiss Smoked beef short rib was so tender and had Oaxacan quesillo potato purée with tomatillo jam. Simply did not disappoint. Street style corn with chipotle aioli had us all going back for seconds. The sweetness of the corn balances with the smokey, spicy notes of the aioli. Craft Cocktails: Well balanced and wide selection of Tequilas to choose from. I can't say enough good things! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out with friends or family this restaurant is sure to impress. Our Group agreed that it was a meal and experience that will leave lasting impression. We will be back!!!!!

It felt like a place you'd want to hang out for a while. Definitely make a reservation because it fills up quickly. Service was a little slow at times, but our server was super friendly and helpful with recommendations, so it didn't take away too much from the experience. The bone marrow was AMAZING!! Easily one of the highlights of the night. We also ordered the Delmonico with bone marrow butter, which was cooked well and really flavorful. Drinks were great too and very well balanced. Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars, pushing 5. Great atmosphere, good drinks and some really standout dishes.
