Came here as I was staying in a hotel close by. Sat right down at the bar on a Wednesday night. Bar staff was super friendly and professional. They called me by name during the entire dinner. Tuesday nights= kids' meals for $0.99!!! We have never been big chain restaurants fan, but now that we have a toddler, the convenience of a restaurant like Texas Roadhouse can't be beat. They delivered us to our table with a basket of rolls, which equaled instant happiness for our toddler. My husband's filet was excellent, as were the sides: carrots & broccoli and a baked potato. My bbq chicken was equally as good, and I loved the corn and mashed potatoes. The cheeseburgers on the kids menu were large (we took one home) and well cooked. Haven't eaten here in a while, but I'm happy to say all is still good. They have now added an empty bucket on the table to throw your peanut shells in. I kinda liked throwing them on the floor! Anyway, we had a 6 oz sirloin, country fried steak and roadkill. Steak was cooked perfectly, the fried steak was generous with a lot of gravy on it. My Dad really liked the roadkill. If you like meat with a bunch of toppings and cheese, this is for you. As usual, the rolls were fabulous, although the serving size of the cinnamon butter has dramatically decreased. Usally a great experience at Texas Roadhouse, but something was off today. The stake that we ordered was not right. We asked for medium plus one, yes that is an odd request but they usually are good at getting it right. Ordered kids cheeseburger, it came without the cheese! We have frequented this establishment multiple times giving it more than one chance, this last time was the straw that broke the camels back. The server was rude and impatient and rushed off after every time she came to the table which wasn't often. Our food was cold and the salad was old. We go here pretty often and the food is always good, the rolls are the best and the steak is cooked perfectly. The service is always amazing every server we've ever had has been awesome and a manager always stops by to check on our table which is great. The only complaint I have are the rude hostesses. Two different times we've had a problem with two different of the teenage girl hosts, they are very rude and could use more training on how to appropriately talk to a guest. Went to this establishment on June 26 with a party of 8 Veronica was our waitress. She was overwhelmed with all the tables she was servicing and ultimately the actual birthday girl food was poor quality and everyone else was as well. O e person didn't even get their meal while everybody else had gotten their food and was eating. The second time on the June 29 it was worse. It was a party of 5 one of which was pregnant and she put us in a tight booth she barely fit in the seat. The waitress I forgot her name started out bubbly then quickly went sour. She was overwhelmed as well and instead of just sending the food back when it was overcooked and cold to get fresh food she just got the manager who was quite rude herself she acted like we were bothering her. To say the least we won't be back at all my food steak was horrible as well that $27 meal was absolutely disgusting. The Kenwood location is always been a horrible experience. This Texas Roadhouse has more ups and downs than other restaurants in the area. Food quality is generally pretty good but in our experiences the service is getting worse And time goes by. Lots of standing around and chit chat between the staff instead of focus on the customers. If there is a waiting time it's not worth the wait with all the restaurants in the area. Hopefully good service returns soon as it's a good value when service is good. read more

Worst service, food, and overall dining experience I've ever had. To start off with the noise was so loud that we couldn't hear each other while sitting next to each other. Glasses and silverware were dirty and had to ask for another glass of water because something was floating in it. Never got our appetizer, all of our steaks were over cooked and the macaroni and cheese looked like it came out of a box! Couldn't tell the server so it could be fixed because as soon as our food was placed on the table she walked off and we didn't see her again until 30 minutes later when we flagged her down to ask for our check because of said noise was so bad that all three of us in our party had headaches and just wanted to get out of there. I will NEVER return nor would I recommend this place. We drove 25 minutes to eat here and left feeling very disappointed. read more

My hubby loves this place and I had a yearning for prime rib, so off we went to Texas Roadhouse. There was only a 5 min. wait on a Sunday night, and it's in a shopping center so parking was no problem. Our waitress was great - friendly and efficient - what more can you ask? I wanted prime rib medium rare and that's what I ordered. She came back a few minutes later and was truly apologetic. They only had medium cuts left :o( Not her fault. She said it was an extremely busy day. Will definitely come back to try it. So I went with the ribeye, just like my hubby. Got the choice of 2 sides, baked potato and a side salad. The steak was cooked as ordered, and it was very juicy and flavorful. The sides were sides - nothing special but good. Hubby loves that they have peanuts in the shell. Plenty of beers to choose from; not many wines - though we were happy with our glass of reds. Overall an a-ok experience. read more

This is Texas Roadhouse, and therefore a chain. The workers, in general, are very nice. They serve Texas-sized portions, which means any dish is enough to feed two people, and the food is excellent quality. I would say that the prime rib is my favorite, but the country fried steak, ribs, and sirloin steaks are very good as well. I don't have any real complaints for this restaurants, except it gets too busy on weekends, which adds to lines and waits, as well as slower service. Overall, this is among the best chain restaurants that I have been to. read more

I had dinner here a couple of days ago for by buddy's 30th birthday celebration.... We had a group of sixteen... I have been to this location before and had a decent time. This time however was less than ideal. Long story short the food took what seemed like forever to come out... I had ordered the 5oz salmon with mashed potatoes... When my food finally came the salmon was literally cold on the inside and mushy.... Not even close to being cooked thoroughly... They did remake it but at the point I just asked for it to get boxed to go as I knew it would take another twenty minutes to come out... So I sat there waiting and eating mashed potatoes while everyone else enjoyed their meal... They discounted the meal itself by 50% which was less than adequate because the consumption of the raw fish had ruined my appetite anyway. The remade meal ended up wasted and I had a stomach ache for a couple of hours... I called back to express my disappointment with a manager who was less that sympathetic and simply offered to take down my info incase anyone else in the restaurant reported feeling ill as well. I don't think I would return to this location and I'm taken back by the lack of customer service and lack of consideration for ruining what could of been a nice celebration. read more

Want to start off by saying the food was great, no complaints there. It was more the service side that was terrible. It took so long to get everything, the server even came up to tell us that he put the order in late, assuming that was because he was talking to another table for 20 mins. The table of 4 next to us were sat, order taken, and got their food before we even got silverware. When we got our check, we had to wait another 10 mins to get something removed that we didn't order. The waiter tried to apologize for everything but it was too late at that point. Terrible experience overall and won't be back to this location. read more

It was a okay night at the Texas Roadhouse in Kenwood. The wait wasn't incredibly long because we did it the right way. The waitress was very nice even though there were a few mistakes like missing straws and napkins but it wasn't a big deal. The bread and cinnamon butter was great! Very tasty. The wait for the appetizers and drinks wasn't long but the sweet teas the whole table ordered was not sweet. I had to get a lemonade instead after trying two different sweet teas. The lemonade I had to substitute for the sweet teas was great. The appetizers were okay but very over seasoned. The Cheese fries could've took away a few years of my life with how much season was on them. The boneless wings were great and so was the blooming onion. The wait for the food was not that long. Many of the plates ordered by my table were too salty once again. My baked potato was over salty, my girlfriends was also too salty and so were two orders of fries with the entrees. Overall, the orders were okay but over seasoned. The atmosphere on the other hand was great. Many customers and a bunch of yeehaws. Felt warm and comforting and never felt like a burden to my waiter. Waiter was extremely nice again. She understood her mistakes and apologized. I understand her because it was a busy night so I tipped her well. Overall a 3/5. read more

Texas Roadhouse was my favorite low price steak house until last night. I am home on college winter break and was meeting family and friends for dinner. I ordered the T-bone porterhouse steak medium rare. This is the largest steak offered at the restaurant. The first steak that was brought to me was well well well done. I have worked in the food business and don't like sending food back during rush hours but this steak was way overcooked. I ended up asking for a new steak and to my dismay the second one came out barely cooked. It was purple and cold. I couldn't believe this was how they cooked the biggest most expensive steak on their menu. By the time I got the second steak, the rest of the table was close to finishing their meal, so I decided to bite the bullet and take it home to cook myself. To be fair the steak tasted great after I cooked it myself at home. Being a broke college student, I only go out every once in a while, and I will not be going back to Texas Roadhouse. I prefer to not pay to cook my own food. Server was great, can't control what the kitchen makes. read more

I don't mind waiting for a table when they are busy, but when the staff consistently tell you that it's gonna be a "15" or "25" minute wait and it is over an hour, you know there is something wrong. I am extremely unhappy with the new management this place now has. First of all, the servers are unpredictable one weekend you can come in and feel at home and the next they are all moody and disoriented. Who are you guys hiring to work here now a days? I remember having this amazing pregnant lady serve me she was always so kind and generous to my husband and I. Im assuming she got the hint and left this establishment because the way the workers are treated is unacceptable. Being a server for 12 years I would never let my boss run me raged like that! We have been to this Kenwood location numerous times and the food and service are always excellant. The staff are always friendly and the manager makes it a point to stop by your table and ask you if everything is ok. We have been here for lunch and dinner and the food is always consistent, great steaks and great sides and great prices and the portions are large so we always take a box home. read more

This place is dirty, loud and the food is awful. We went early on Saturday evening (around 5:30). We ordered right away, I got the country fried sirloin asking the waitress to make certain that it was not fried hard and dry; with a baked potato and salad. My husband ordered the catfish. Our food came out before our salad. I asked the person serving the food where the salad was, she looked at me like a deer in headlights said I'll send your waitress. My steak was so hard and dry with a strange taste to it. I complained to who I assume was the manager she took off the salads which was included with the meals. Big deal ! Never again. After a long day of cleaning and moving out of my house, I wanted to sit down and enjoy a nice meal at one of my favorite restaurants. As a Texas Roadhouse host/server at a different location, I have expectations when I dine at another location. I was sat with 5 people, was brought one basket of rolls with one small butter. We had to wait 10 min to get another basket. We then asked for another one since they were only bringing one at a time, for five people, but we never got it. Everyone at the table ordered Caesar salads except one person. All of them barely had any dressing on them, so I was going to wait to eat it and ask for more dressing but never had the chance to because the server never came back. Lastly, we all ordered medium rare steaks and all of them came back medium well to well done. My boyfriend offered to switch me steaks because I was so frustrated, but his was also medium well. The server never bothered to ask if the steaks were cooked at the right temperature, and after still waiting 10 min to ask for a new steak, I had to go outside for a breather because my anxiety was so bad. My boyfriend sent the steak back while I was outside. After 15 min I came back in- still no steak. So I waited 10 more min- no steak. So I went to the car. I told my boyfriend to get it togo because I did not want to eat after all of my friends had finished their meals and were ready for checks. There was no discount given and I have tried contacting the restaurant about my awful experience and have had no luck. I never have bad experiences at a TXRH until I come to this one. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience here, but it will be the last because I will no longer be giving them my business. The bartender made a delicious margarita for me so I will leave one star. read more
