The Ceaser salad was the best Ceaser salad I ever had! The short rib empanada and the gnocchi was good as well but the gnocchi was covered in scallions. That wasn't stated on the menu or by our server when I asked if onions were in the dish, so unfortunately I did have to send that back and have it remade then ate the rest once I got back home. I also tried the Black Angus NY and it melt in my mouth like butter. They were busy and it did take a while for the food to come out but the wait was worth it.

I had the filet with the carrots, and I can honestly say they were the best carrots I've ever had! The seasoning on the steak is truly amazing, and both times I've eaten here, the steaks have easily been some of the best I've ever had. Everyone at our table loved their drinks from the bar, and the bartender was incredibly friendly. It was also really cool hearing about where the food is sourced and the thought and care that goes into the ingredients. If you haven't been to Lonely Pine since the new ownership took over, I highly recommend giving it a try. When it comes to rating a chain restaurant, I can honestly say this is definitely one of the better ones. There used to be a Texas Roadhouse on the west side where I live and I used to go there fairly often. They closed that one many years ago but I recall really liking everything that I tried on their menu. Yesterday was my first visit to one since that time, at least 15 years ago. This would be a 5 star review but the only thing holding back on that is the fact that in 15 years absolutely nothing has changed on their menu. This is not to say they don't offer a good variety of items, it's just that it's the exact same things from way back when. It would be great if they kept the old basics (which are good) but add some new, different things once in a while. On this visit I had the filet medallions w/ peppercorn sauce, rice and fresh veggies. This was truly a great dinner. When you hear the term 'medallions' you think smaller cuts of meat. This is not the case here. These medallions were more like 3 individual filets and they were cooked perfectly. The peppercorn sauce was really good but could have used a few more actual peppercorns. The rice and veggies were exactly the same as I recall from way back when. This is not to say they weren't good, it just the same. A little variety here wouldn't hurt. read more

We had a fantastic dining experience at Texas Roadhouse thanks to our server Angela, who was training a new server named Sam. Angela was incredibly attentive, friendly, and clearly experienced--she made sure everything ran smoothly while guiding Sam through the process with patience and professionalism. Sam did a great job too! You could tell he was eager to learn and made a real effort to ensure our table was well taken care of. Together, they made a great team, and their positive attitudes added to the fun, welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious as always--hot, fresh, and exactly what we ordered.
