Read the reviews. The evidence is clear this Longhorn needs a clean sweep. Replace the management who are nose-diving this location into the ground. I was at this location two nights ago and the very first thing that you are greeted with, is the disgusting 'dirty socks' stench that I have to assume is coming from the neglected flooring. It doesn't stop there. The neglect continues with shredded, torn, & tattered seating all around as well. The management couldn't care less obviously. I took a chance and ordered the Flo's fillet. I ordered it medium. It came out well done. They overcooked it, I let it slide. Then came the first bite. Something was off. You know how meat tastes when it's close to going bad? For the first time that I can remember, the lazy management never made a single attempt to come ask how things were. They probably already know the answer and so they stay in the office or in the parking lot or wherever they are. They certainly aren't on the phone with carpet cleaner companies, or upholstery repair companies. This isn't a Mom and Pop operation. This is a corporation. There is no excuse for this blatant ignorance. Now, if you know this location, you know that this is not a new problem. The stench has been evident for years! Yes, years! Now it is far from subtle! I'm under the impression that corporate doesn't read these reviews. My next stop is calling the corporate number. No more free passes for this management staff! I had dinner at this location last night when I found a maggot in my broccoli. I informed the waitress of this and she brought over a manager. I was extremely disgusted by not only the maggot in my food, but by the lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the manager on shift. When the manager arrived to my table, he proceeded to be dismissive and tell me that it wasn't a maggot. I have a video showing the maggot, there was nothing in the vegetables that would resemble a bug. In addition to being dismissive, he did not offer any consolation or apologize for my experience. It's unfortunate I had to go through this at this location, as I frequently eat here and have had good experiences with other wait staff and managers but this manager really put a bad taste in my mouth. I haven't been to Longhorns for several years, decided to try today for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised, they were fairly busy for an off time which is a good sign. They have a lunch menu with great options. I decide to go with the chopped steak with mushrooms and gravy and a sweet potato. Poor pick up experience. Feel for those living in the area since service at most places is sub par. The Longhorn in my town always excellent, including their pick up process. Here, my confirmation email stated a 6:51 time. Did my check in curbside and waited till about 7:20! By the way, others at curbside began leaving vehicles and just going in, returning with their food. In addition, ordered all flat wings, another fail there. They were cold and dry too. My family and I went here this past weekend for my Father's birthday. It started off with having to wait for our whole party to arrive which they were in the parking lot because the manager says they do not have many large tables for customers so we had to wait almost 45 minutes. Then we finally get to our table and our waitress seemed nervous she was all over the place she ordered the wrong appetizer and said if she took if back they would take it off our bill and then bring us the correct one but of course charge us for it which was okay. Then when the food started to come out half of us got our food and the other half had to wait almost 15 minutes for theirs because she told us they could not turn in but 4 to 6 orders at a time. So we did not all get to eat together. Then at the end she got all our bills wrong and messed up with who had what and she also broke a glass and the drink went all over my daughter's boyfriend and my husband cut his hand. When the manager came over all he said to us was ," I will pay for his clothes to be cleaned if you bring me the bill " ,that is all he said to us no I am sorry or kiss my foot or anything. I haven't been to a chain steak house in a long time. I was visiting this area for work and decided to give it a go with my coworker. It took a while to get some menus but we were chatting so I let it slide. After the menus it took a minute for the bartender to say anything to us but when she finally did, we were ready to order everything. We got an appetizer and our entrees in. She asked for our drink orders and I asked for the specials. After she went over them, I opted for a Texas margarita. First, it was premade *insert eye roll emoji*, then it came with salt on the rim, which she hadn't asked if I wanted or nooooooottttt. The salt was way too overbearing and I couldn't drink it. She asked if I wanted another without salt and I thanked her and said, "absolutely!" We had lunch here today to celebrate our new home being approved and because I was craving a good steak. There wasn't anyone at the reception desk when we walked in and there was another couple waiting in front of us. After a few minutes a nice young man greeted us and said they were clearing some tables and that they would be right with us. Not long after that we were seated and greeted by our server. She asked for our drink order and we ordered our meals when ahe brought our drinks and bread. The service was great and the food was delicious! I ordered the 12 Oz ribeye, the strawberry pecan salad and a sweet potato. They were all perfect and the steak was everything I wanted. Tender Outlaw ribeye cooked perfectly medium, although a bit salty for my taste with the seasoning that was ok but not great. Bacony mac cheese done well, my partners brussel sprouts reportedly very good. Had a nice char on them. Her generous portion of salmon was also cooked perfectly and not dry. Salads good, nothing special but was drained of water, ok blue cheese. Bread a bit under cooked. Service good for most part, but hate getting a bill before I'm finished. That feels rushed and unprofessional. For this type of chain, it was better than most but still more pricey than others for same type of fare at $73.08 with water, no drinks, no apps. For traveling, could have been better, could have been worse. Think made out fairly well, just another day in America where food service has gotten more expensive, table service is usually lacking, and product quality is not what it used to be as the American palate has changed to settling for less in quality and flavor not to mention service. read more

My family and I have always enjoyed LongHorn . We prefer it over the other 'steak house chains' . Our last experience here in Dothan, made us change our minds. The food was as good as leftovers since the day before... if you get what I mean. We got our checks before we got everything we ordered.. The main issue that made me write this review was the Customer Service and the SMELL! The young boy who was the host, needs to be fired. Hospitality is not his strong suit. The smell of the carpets and the tables being so greasy and sticky at the same time. We honestly should've left at the moment we recognized those issues. But we persevered. We truly didn't even ask for a manager to even complain. He knew they had messed up and he knew he could tell that we were unsatisfied and had our nose turned. We never even gave the waitress who was great, a complaint out loud about the restraunt or the host staff. The manager knew. I feel hes a good manger. Because he knew things were wrong without even having to be told out loud. He ended up giving us a card for a free appetizer or dessert at any time that we come. Have eaten at this location several times. Today is the last time my family will eat at Longhorns. It is like playing the lottery on whether they will screw up your meal. Wife and I both had Salmon, overcooked , burnt and dry and raw Asparagus. The waiter went into great detail that they cook Salmon medium and then cooked it to death. He saw that our meals were not eaten and said we did not need boxes for the inedible food he walked off. Spent $70 on a meal that sent us home hungry. Won't make that mistake again. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTING! We had a special family gathering planned for twelve tonight. We called ahead and were promptly seated. But then it happened. We could not be seated together. Imagine that. Two tables located side by side but they would not push them together to accommodate our party. This has never been an issue in the past. What happened? Why didn't they tell us this up front when we called ahead? We could have chosen a more accommodating venue for our family. I digress. Longhorn has long been one of my favorite restaurants. Here in Dothan and when traveling. After the treatment by management on this occasion, that will probably change. When we were being seated at two separate tables, I immediately requested that the tables be placed together. It would have taken very little effort. We would have been happy to have done it ourselves. The waitress called for a manager who came out and eloquently recited some pre-rehearsed corporate drivel in an attempt to justify why customers needs made no difference to the parent company and in essence, our business was not worth the effort of pushing two tables together to facilitate a meaningful family experience. Our waitress did a great job and was very attentive to our needs. The food was great as usual. However, the joy of the occasion was diminished to zero because of some corporate mental midget who has no appreciation or regard for the customers who make it possible for him/her/it to have a job. We spent what turned out to be our "not-so-special" family time with our backs turned to half the family members in the party thanks to managements hands being tied by some corporate mentally incompetent policy-jockey. Albeit managements hands are tied by company policy, there was no apology, and no sign of empathy from management for removing the joy of what would have been a special family event. Only an attitude of "take it or leave it." I am very disappointed in Longhorn Steakhouse and I can assure you, the sting of this disappointment will long out-live the memory of any service, appetizer, entrèe, or dessert served at this gathering. A few weeks ago our party of six meet at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Dothan, Alabama. I had been there in earlier years when the restaurant was newer and in better shape. Now the chairs are worn and frayed and the entire place seems in need of a facelift. The worst part for me: The place was in need of a serious cleaning. Even the waiting area had trash of the floor around the reception desk. The floor in the men's room was disgusting. Especially under the urinals. The service staff were friendly and attentive. UPDATE: this should be a zero, when we got the food back we had raw steak, no salad dressing or croutons, no salt or pepper, fries were old it was just awful. When you had the bad customer service and attitude from Managment it's just worse Just for the record. When you have a procedure in place that you will text when our food is almost ready so we can check in with our spot then we do so and the food is still 20mins late it is not the customers spot. The manager was rude and dismissive and the staff didn't bother to address the issue, blaming us for arriving early (we checked in when they sent the text not early on their timeline). I was traveling on business and I went with my instincts, go to what you know. Now I know, don't go back here. I sat at the bar to watch Monday Night Football. The bartender was preoccupied with someone or something. Once he finally decided to come by, I ordered my steak medium. What I got was a well done steak. At first I thought it was just well done around the edge, no big deal. I was wrong, all the way though. By the time I realized this I was full and didn't want a new one and it wasn't all that bad. I ate here at dinner. Ordered baby back ribs with sweet potato. The ribs were cold and very tough. They looked like regular ribs not baby back ribs. The tough white membrane was still attached to the backside of the ribs. The sweet potato was cold and the butter would not even melt in it. I eat here frequently and order the baby back ribs.
