So this review is solely based on the chicken fried steak... It was... OK... The CFS was fairly tender with a nice crust I was truly hoping for better for the price point... more on that later. The mashed potatoes were spot on... 10 out of 10... do not miss out on these. The cream gravy served with the CFS and mashed potatoes had an odd flavor about it... again, it might taste good to the next person, but a bit odd for me... that said, it had a great consistency about it. The house salad was good (and very cold).. another can't miss... 10 of 10 The fried onion ( forget what their name for it is) is really good... I did not care for the dipping sauce as it seemed to include horseradish, which I do not like. The rolls and butter... well, you know, they are great... Anyway, I thought the price point was a little high ($16.99), I would prefer the CFS to be a little more recommendable. But overall really not that bad in this day and time... I just had a lunch meal here. I had the 8oz fillet with a side salad, veggies, and a sidekick of shrimp. Pros Steak was perfectly cooked (medium), juicy, tender, and nicely seasoned. Vegetables were cooked but not overcooked and mushy. Six shrimp came as a sidekick order. Properly cooked and tasted fine. Service was good. Cons Small cup of veggies (broccoli and carrots). May have had some butter drizzled over them but altogether almost no seasoning. Tall mug of beer was $9. Not sure if that was a large or small beer (maybe the only size for on tap beers) but the price to me was high considering you can buy a 12 pack for not much more than that. Bucket on table now has a bag of peanuts in it rather than just being filled with peanuts. Seems like they have lost some of their original panache. I was afforded the opportunity to have Carlos L. as my waiter I have been to this restaurant numerous times and have never received the service that I received yesterday. This young man was awesome and flawless ,He constantly came back to the table to see if there was anything else he could do to make our visit pleasant, his manager needs to really consider him as being a supervisor or maybe a lead over a group of individuals that make up a team so that some of them may gain the experience that he has. Came here for Father's Day and left frustrated and disappointed. The service at the host stand starts off confusing. They dont take names or give clear instructions so multiple parties can get confused thinking it's their turn and cause some difficulties. Not a huge deal but a little inconvenient as parties work out the confusion without any real direction. Once we sat down it was a little hectic, we got orders from people's tables, but we told our waiter and he seemed to make sure the others got taken care of. Salads were missing some ingredients- none came with eggs and really only one had very many croutons. Chili tasted pretty good and the rolls are still tasty. Unfortunately that's the end of what I stayed for. Myself and family have severe allergies to animals and someone allowed a chihuahua with no vest carried in by another customer. My remaining family asked for it to go. We got the rest to go and the food was bland. My husband's steak was not good and not cooked how he ordered. He couldn't even finish it. My chicken fried steak was soggy and cold and get didnt include the fixings for my baked potato. My parents said their food was also not very good and they didnt feel well after eating theirs either. I called and talked to a manager apologized for the inconvenience and told me that it's not their policy to allow dogs and that they would send me vouchers to help make it up. Today, March 6, 2026, at approximately 7:13 p.m., I placed a to-go order from your Burleson location. My order included a steak, Texas Red Chili, and green beans. Texas Roadhouse in Burleson has always been a pleasant place for me to dine, and I have consistently had good experiences with both the food and service. However, this was my first time using the to-go ordering area, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. When I arrived home and began to eat, I noticed that my chili contained items that did not appear to belong in it. As a result, I no longer felt comfortable eating it, and my meal was ruined. Because of what I found, I refused to eat the chili altogether. I have attached photos for your review so you can see exactly what was in the chili. The service wasn't top notch but it wasn't the worst either, which I can't say I expect the best of the best service in such a public area. Least I can say is that the service was good. The positives... The wait staff was very nice, genuine, and very attentive. The time we arrived was before the big lunch rush so we were seated within 90 seconds. The negative I was jonesing for a cheeseburger so instead of ordering the steak, I opted for the burger. It took 25 mins to get the meal. When it arrived the fries (cheese and bacon over the fries) were completely dried out and hard. My guess was they sat under a heat lamp to long. The burger was burnt. I mean truly charred an inedible. It took me some time to get our wait person back as the restaurant was busy by that time. They apologized and asked how I prefer my burger. I replied "medium". When the second burger arrived, it was beyond well done and pretty black on the face by that time I just wanted to get out of there. So we asked for to go boxes and left. Normally I go to the roadhouse in Mansfield because of how tragic this one tends to be but my wife and I are feeling under the weather and wanted comfort food we didn't have to drive far for. We placed the order online and the app said the food would be ready be 6:07pm. When we got there we waited until past 6:20 outside in the 90+ degree Texas heat because for some reason this steakhouse has an outdoor to go area like they're a $5 taco truck. Got to the front of the line and asked if we could get rolls because there wasn't an option to add them on the app. The girl behind the counter charged us for the rolls which I already thought was annoying because they normally come free but I just assumed that it was a convenience fee or something since it was take out. Nope. The order already came with rolls, which she just happened to not mention and charged us for extra instead. Got home and the cactus blossom was close to impossible to eat because it wasn't cut anywhere close to the base of the onion, and the rolls that we paid extra for were completely stale. But to be fair I should have known better. Everyone knows this is the worst roadhouse in the metroplex. read more

I have dined-in once and ordered from the To-Go app/window twice in the last 2 months. I've ordered steaks, various sides and rolls each time. The To-Go staff and waitress inside were all friendly, helpful & polite. The To-Go orders were both late (one 40 minutes late). The ridiculously skimpy portions of honey butter served in the small cups instead of the larger tubs like every other Texas Roadhouse's provide feels cheap. Each item was in its own package. Did not receive a side item or the requested topping items. The server even asked us to leave a good review for the items all being in the bag. Sadly they weren't. The managers at this place are ridiculous. My 5 year old grand daughter ordered the buttered corn with her meal. As she started to eat we noticed something in the corn. Upon closer investigation we discover a 2" long pierce of metal mixed in with the corn. We made our waitress aware and she took it to advise her managers and kitchen staff. She returned a few moments later and told us that she couldn't do anything about our bill but offer us a card for a free appetizer on our next visit. Which was fine with us because we weren't looking for a deal on our food and we declined her offer. We finished our meal and paid our bill and our waitress again offered us the appetizer card. Again we decline but did mention that we found it odd that no manager or kitchen staff had contacted us about the problem. Our only concern was that someone might ingest a piece and injure themselves. They didn't seem to care as we saw corn going out on other trays. This type of service or lack there of speaks volumes about the establishment. Texas Roadhouse has finally opened in Burleson. It's been open about a week but the parking lot is still packed. Don't let that deter you because there was no parking but a party of 3 or 4 had no wait at 5:00. Yes, that's early but I sure didn't want to wait around all night with a baby. We were taken to our table with fresh hot rolls and honey butter and our super sweet server ( Maybe Yami?) was very attentive. She was on us before we could get the baby situated. Btw, I ordered iced tea and it was the best I've had in a long time! Sounds weird but it was refreshing, not overly strong like so many. We started with fried pickles and they were thin, crisp pickle chips. I think they move the food so fast so they can get people in and out of there. So I kinda felt like they went straight from the fryer to our serving basket without draining at all. A little greasy but not bad. I ordered the full rack of ribs with French fries and mashed potatoes. Ya, double starch; Why not, I had rolls too. The ribs were good. Kinda smoky but not overwhelmingly so; tender and sweet. The French fries were steak fries. Thick and a bit greasy. Also not bad. The mashed potatoes were totally buttery and amazing! They do have a little bit of potato skin in them if that doesn't bother you. I'd give them a shot for sure. Also had a fresh house salad but I didn't take a picture of it because... it's a salad! Our server was so amazing and attentive. They were busy but she was there each time we needed something. The food was good and they move the food quickly to facilitate a fast table turn over so hopefully you won't have to wait too long. First, it was our first time to go. Our bartender server/waiter was great! The bread was awesome. I ordered the vegetable plate. I received my salad first and the lettuce was BROWN and old. I picked out all of that and ate the rest which was very little. We received our meal and I knew just by looking the fries were either re-fried or cooked in old oil. Couldn't eat them. The Mac & cheese had zero flavor. A waitress had come by so I showed her the lettuce I took out. She said she would let manager know. Then our meal came 10 minutes later and same waitress came by and asked her to take my vegetable plate away and she did ask if she could get me something else but I said no because I've heard bad stuff about that. Anyway, she mocked me as she walked away; which really was extremely rude. I never got mad or rude about the meal to her, so her doing that was uncalled for. She told our original waiter about it and we got the bill and they didn't take my meal off. I was very upset but my husband had already paid the bill electronically so I chose not to say anything but leave this review and he agreed. Updated after we ate. My wife had the steak cobobs on a stick super salty and way too much marinade. My ribeye was ok but just average like a Cracker Barrel might have cooked it and super thin 1/2". And the rolls were cold. When this branch opened it was pretty good. Now it's just average at best. I'll drive to FTW worth the next visit I make to roadhouse. My wife ordered a medium well steak. It came to the table and felt like a frisbee it was so done. The waitress was terrible as well. She stood literally feet from us and acted like she could give a shit about serving us or anyone else as she carried on conversations with her fellow waitstaff while my wife waited on a drink refill. There was also a dad with two daughters across from us who apparently had tuberculosis. He was coughing up a lung then turned to my wife and said, "What do you want me to do?" as she looked on with concern. I wanted to tell him to fuck off and die, but, you know, the daughters. He decided to berate one of them right in front of us, which was classy. My steak was cooked medium well. I ordered medium rare, so perhaps their level of doneness is one standard deviation off, who the hell knows. We won't be going back to that location. Do better, Texas Roadhouse. You can't just throw the rolls on the table and be done. Lucky for you, Tech won the Big 12 Championship game while we were there, and shitty food and service wasn't going to put a damper on that. I grabbed some cocktail napkins and finished doing the bussers job. The booths was wet and had food in it. There was gunk from the previous table all over the table. From their drinks and their food. I grabbed more cocktail napkins and started cleaning that up. As I was the server came to the table. She saw me cleaning the table & didn't offer to get a rag for me or clean it herself. She took our drink order. We had to ask for "fresh baked bread," none was offered. Our waitress brought our drinks took our order and left the section. I got up and got us some appetizer plates. It was at this point I went to take a sip of my water. My glass had gummied sticky stuff inside and outside the glass. I pointed it out to the waitress & she brought another glass. My daughter ordered rare 16oz Sirloin & I ordered a MR Fort Worth Ribeye. Food arrived. My daughter ordered her steak R, hers arrived medium to medium well. My Ribeye was rare, I ordered it MR-M. Usually when I order MR at Texas Roadhouse it cooks more in the window and arrives closer to medium. My daughter said she was too hungry to wait for a steak cooked the way she ordered it and ate a cold steak. Guess the line person was having a hard time getting employees to run food at that moment, because it had obviously sat on a tray not under the warmer for too long. I however cannot eat rare beef. A few moments later the waitress comes back by and inquired how everything is. We didn't mention her steak was over cooked. I had to send my Fort Worth Ribeye back. When the manager brings the cook up out, she asks me to cut into it to make sure it was recooked correctly. I cut into it and it was MW. She could see the disappointment on my face and said she could have them cook it some more. I told her it was supposed to be MR. She told me the upcook ticket said MW. My daughter is nearly done at this point. My sides are now cold but I'm hungry and didn't want to be there all night while the kitchen guessed how to cook a steak right. I can make a MW work, so I declined a recook. My waitress had already came by and informed me the kitchen was pissed, but we're cooking it up. I begin to cut my steak and eat the mushrooms with each bite. I got about three bites in when I noticed a hair. One that looked like a pube in my mushrooms. I thought it was mandatory for kitchen staff to wear nets over their hair & beards? I was so grossed out I couldn't continue. The waitress comes back by and sees I'm not eating. She asks if I'd like to speak to a manager. I told her yes. Dani came by. I explained to her how our experience had been. I forgot to tell her about my daughter's steak. Dani told me she would remove the steak from the ticket and bring me by something to help with my next experience. My daughter comes in town once a year. Dinner was a catastrophe. The hostess, the busser, the cook, possibly my waitress with the MW upcook were all off tonight. Tonight was not "Legendary food." It was not "Legendary service." It most definitely was not "fun." It was Legendary a horrible experience. I won't be back to this location. Its mind boggling the training this place requires of their staff, yet just about every member we had interaction with directly or non directly was not Legendary. Kent Taylor would be highly dissatisfied. I highly recommend getting some secret shoppers here soon, neither service or story are up to Kent's standards. I've always had great experiences at this location. This time, we were provided with outstanding service by Ty. He was super attentive and friendly. Our food came out very fast and we had refills brought to us before finishing our beverages, we never had to flag him down because he was constantly checking in with us, which I appreciate.
