The waitress was upset that we only ordered that for our table so she was not very kind to us after that. You usually get beans for each person along with chips and salsa as you walk in, and we did not get either. When we asked if we were getting beans, she said, "not today." when we then asked for chips and salsa, she said "no." She then came back with the chips in a small bowl when all other tables got a regular sized basket. We would have tipped her the same (and well) no matter what we ordered as we were all paying separately, so no need to be so rude. This was after I gave them a THIRD chance after getting rotten tasting chicken 2 previous times. The first time, i thought it was just me and didnt complain. The 2nd time, i went with a friend and had her taste it and she said it did taste rotten so i asked for another plate. No apology or anything, just a smug "well what else do you want?" and i let those other experiences go only to get treated badly a 3rd time! Never going back again! Thanks to our awesome and very knowledgeable server, Fabian, for professionally assisting us in selecting the perfect seafood boil with just the right seafood items we both preferred; cooked with delicious garlic pieces sautéed in butter and mixed with a lightly spiced seasoning. Hook & cook, $11.99/person -- they'll cook all your fish however you want it, and it comes with sides, sauces, and a drink. I asked for tortillas on the side so we could make fish tacos. Good value, and the food they cooked for us was solid all around. We had a mix of sides -- french fries, onion rings, rice, beans, and fried okra -- all pretty good. On the fish prep: the fried was probably the best, the grilled was fine, and the blackened was my least favorite. Service was really efficient and nice -- the lady working the front counter was super helpful and very nice. The place was clean, the restroom was clean, plenty of tables for large groups, and a large bar area. I also noticed they have happy hour specials. The one downside: the salsa/sauce selection was pretty much nonexistent -- just Tapatío, and the sauces that came with the hook-and-cook were a low-end cocktail and tartar sauce. Honestly that's the one thing about the whole island -- nobody seems to have any good salsa. In general, if you're doing a hook-and-cook, I'd suggest coming here. Would recommend for that, and I'd return if I were doing it again.
