I'm not normally a big fan of chain restaurants but, if I had to choose one, this would be it. I've gone to this location several times and every time the service is always on point. Staff is friendly and servers are always attentive. Hard to pull off when the place is constantly packed but the workers here are always the best. Now on to food. I have not tried anything I didn't like so far. I've tried the ribs n fries appetizer, steak salad, pork chop, and ribeye. I'm not a huge fan of ribeye but my wife is and it's always cooked to her liking. The ribs appetizer is more like a meal, no complaints if you like messy fingers! The steak salad is always good. The shocker though- the pork chop. This is hands down the BEST (besides my mom's of course) pork chop I've ever had dining out. It tasted like I was at a award winning cook out. This place is so good! It's a chain steakhouse but it's reasonably priced with quick service. They gave us complementary rolls which were warm and fresh. The appetizer bloomin onion type of dish was really good. I got the "roadkill" which is basically chopped steak smothered with cooked onions and mushrooms and cheese. It's a very underrated dish and very easy to eat. The dish was only 10.99 and it had a wonderful flavor. Great seasoning! The waitress was awesome too! read more

Had a fairly good meal here. Of the 3 steaks we ordered, only one was overcooked, rare came out medium-well. They did make a new steak and it was sent out promptly. They were busy but we did call ahead seating which was very convenient. The house salads are always served on a cold plate with cheese, tomatoes, eggs, and croutons - DELICIOUS. Their ranch dressing is so good. If you're on a budget, go for the sirloin, yes it's not quite a tender as the filet but it is still remarkably tender for sirloin! From beginning to end, Texas Roadhouse in Ephrata is a nice experience. The parking lot is huge and customers are treated warmly upon entering the restaurant and throughout the dining experience. This "early-bird" diner has never encountered a wait although peak dining times are surely challenging. Face it, this place is popular, especially with fun-loving, loud young people so be prepared to encounter boisterous times. The aura of the place is lighthearted and giddy. The waitstaff is incredible -- very efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Food quanity and quality are good, especially the steaks, spare ribs, herb-coated chicken, stuffed baked potato, green beans, and warm rolls with honey and cinnamon-enhanced butter. The food tends to be salty which appeals to me. I've never experienced or witnessed a failure when it comes to requested level of doneness for beef. Cocktails and beer are nicely executed. I like this place. It's the second or third time I've been and it's usually consistently reasonable. If the rating process was more precise I would do 3.5 stars but when in doubt round up. Our server was a nice young guy and he gave me a good recommendation (I got the smothered chicken). The baked potato was very well done. (I put only butter on it). The way it's cooked with the sea salt on the outer layer is the tits. I'm watching what I eat and my whole Dinner was 450 calories and I have lots of leftovers. I think where Yelp reviewers go wrong is they compare the restaurant they're reviewing with their favorite restaurant ever. Restaurants should be rated accordingly, right? I took some pictures of some funny stuff they have as decor. Like there's a mother jumpin armadillo that is arched like he's treacherous in crane-attack mode. I am a stroke survivor and had to park far away because the handicap spots were filled with cars without handicap plates or tags. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be 50-60 minutes longer than the estimated 30 minutes. We were told we couldn't sit and wait in the hostess area, and the lobby was packed with no seats available. We felt intimidated and left. We will never go to a Texas Roadhouse again!y family of five joined the wait-list at 4pm. Estimated wait was 30 mins so we headed right over.Half of the handicap spots were occupied by cars that did not handicap plates or tags. We were forced to park a significant distance away. I am a stroke survivor and this was difficult. We went in and I sat by the hostess station.We were then told it would be 50-60 minutes longer and we could not sit and wait in the hostess area. We were told to go into a packed lobby (NO SEATS AVAILABLE) or wait in our car.The car that was out in the parking lot fairly far and not to ,emtion the deep freeze we are having! My wife and I came here from a night out of shopping at the Tanger outlets. I would say when we order the buffalo chicken tenders our order was brought out too fast and the food was cold. I order the 12oz steak for my entree and her chicken and mushrooms with special gray. The way was nothing special my steak was smothered with onion and mushrooms which I thought would be on the side. The plate was too small to fit my steak, fries, and sweet potato. The sweet potato was the best thing feature. Overall I rate this subpar because the next day I woke up with food poisoning. I'm in pain now writing this but it be must said, for I don't know if it was the buffalo tender bites or the steak. But obviously it the last thing u ate that night and I will not be going back. I question their sanitation practices and do hope this does not happen to anyone else. Went for my wife's birthday - did reservation on their app- was seated in minutes of our arrival. Server was pleasant enough, but the wait time for everything was EXTREMELY long. We had also ordered a child's meal to go when we ordered our food - we finished & still had to wait an additional 1/2 an hour - so we could get the food & pay the bill. We were there 2 hours - 1 appetizer - 2 meals & then the child's to go meal. Even the manager stopped by - because we were there so long. I was in Lancaster for a shopping trip with my cousins from Italy and it was time for lunch. They make the trip each year and it was my first time tagging along, so I asked if they had a usual spot to eat. They replied, "Subway." I believe my reaction was something along the lines of: "...." They pulled the blink-and-stare right back at me, not understanding my confusion over their eating habits, and then asked if I had an alternative suggestion. I tried to steer them toward one of the local, hearty Amish buffets. They weren't feelin' the idea. So then I pulled up the trusty Yelp app, mentioned to them that there were many chain restaurants around, and selectively listed off a few that I don't hate. When I got to Texas Roadhouse, they both perked up. As it turns out, they love-love-love steaks. Like, love steaks. A lot. It was a Friday and, fortunately, they have started to offer lunch on Fridays too. We walked in and the place was fairly empty, but a host greeted us with excessive cheer. My cousins didn't notice; they were too busy gawking at the display case of raw steaks. We were seated at a big table with a bucket of peanuts, and my cousins were happy. (As we were leaving, my one cousin snatched a peanut from another table and stuck it in her pocket. it was hilarious.) Our server was extremely friendly and efficient. My cousins didn't take long to decide on what to order. They both chose steaks, and they both exclaimed that they were among "the best they have ever had." I took a photo of them with their steaks and all. I, on the other hand, had the chicken critters (okay, seriously, weirdest name ever) with a side of mashed potatoes and a caesar salad. They were good, but the portion size was way too big! How could anyone possibly eat that much. This turned out to be a great place to take my family, and they were raving about it the next night at our huge family gathering. I'm not quite sure why this place has such low reviews. I didn't actually go in but ordered take it. Had some chicken salads, wings & that sweet bread they give. Their friendliness & service was on point, that's a big deal to me. The salad was extremely tasty, I asked for extra grilled chicken & they were not shy with the amount. The wings were nothing to complain about & their sweet bread with their dip is a nice touch not being overly sweet. This is about the second or third place that I see get a low rating but turns out to be pretty good. Granted, some places truly deserve it because they suck beyond understanding. We waited 45 minutes for our meals to be served. My steak was rare & I ordered medium. I sent it back & it came again rare & burnt on the outside. I told the manager I didn't want it. We love visiting Texas Roadhouse when we are in the area. The display of meat when you walk in is awesome. My son likes watching the chef cook thru the glass. The service is great and the servers are friendly. Prices are really reasonable. The bread is tasty and addictive if you add the spread. I had the BBQ chicken and I love it. It comes with two sides. I usually have it with a bowl of chili and a baked potatoe. Hubby has steak and no matter which one he gets he loves it. We definitely will be back. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience dining here while in PA. They give you complimentary hot bread and peanuts to enjoy while waiting for food to come out. Steaks were so delicious and cooked to perfection. The wait was long but they were truly working hard to clear tables quickly and seat people on a Saturday night. Their margaritas are huge and filling so plan accordingly. They are also reasonably priced. The ambiance and decor was both family friendly and bar friendly. So you can see a mixture of crowds throughout. The outside area was a parking with a view (and a manure smell as well...) so you couldn't truly enjoy it haha It's not so terrible once you get over it. read more
