I go to Texas Roadhouse once or twice every week I work out of town I went to the Somerset ky one I ordered a 8oz steak potato and Mac and cheese and I ordered cheese and bacon for the potatoes and the Mac and cheese didn't get it even though I paid almost $3extra no big deal but I went go ahead and eat as soon as I bite into the steak it medium rare I ordered medium well so I decided to take it back the mang acted as it was no big deal he took my plate back to the kitchen and came back with a steak that was burnt when I said it didn't look like a 8oz steak he said it's the same one I bought back which not gonna lie it made me upset because I thought he would cook a fresh steak but he was very rude I had to have one the carry out girl to get my bacon and cheese he simply didn't care his name was Devin needles to say I won't eat there ever again I was going to post a picture of my steak but it's not giving me the option to do so just remember if you go there check your food before you leave really up set I stay in a hotel all week and I like a good meal but it won't be at this restaurant ever again it read more

Did not have a good experience at all ordered the Steak kabobs and was supposed to come on a bed of rice and didn't ... and the green beans... they were good ... rice finally out stated they had to make some .. couldn't understand why you delivered the meal without it. This place is our "comfort" steakhouse. This the most consistently exquisite steak around - despite numerous trips, they're always grilled to mouth-watering perfection! I recommend the 20oz Bone-In Ribeye and splitting it with your loved one... perfect couples dinner. Ya know, for an easy meal for the fam, Texas Roadhouse is pretty good. We went here today for lunch. Quick side tip: Texas Roadhouse is open for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We were able to get a table quickly, and our server was quick to bring out drinks, rolls (my favorite!) and peanuts. And best of all: Everyone was able to find something to eat. I got the Chicken Critter Salad -- eating "critters" is not very appetizing, but this included crispy chicken tenders on cold greens with jack and cheddar cheeses, egg, tomato and bacon. I'm not normally big on salads, but this one was great. My husband got a pork chop that he liked. My kids each got the mac and cheese meal with applesauce on the side, with milk. And my in-law's shared some ribs. Everyone was happy! Texas Roadhouse isn't generally my jam, but in the right circumstances, it definitely hits the spot. (It's also HQ'ed in Louisville, so there's a bit of "local" with it as well.) It's a good option to have. read more

Texas Roadhouse is one of my favorite inexpensive steakhouses. That being said, this visit was disappointing. The first thing I noticed as we were being seated is a lot of employees standing around, which was odd to me. Our server was great, and the food was prepared correctly. Just disappointing with how they've decreased portion sizes. The portions were much smaller than they have been before. The potato was small and dry. The steak was not flavorful. If you've read my other reviews for Texas Roadhouse you know the atmosphere just isn't my thing. Saying that, my mom chose it for her birthday lunch and our party of 8 were well taken care of, including the "yee haw" announcement. I opted for the 6 oz sirloin and it was cooked as requested, plus a salad and upgraded side of mac & cheese. This is more than enough food coupled with the rolls and butter. The team also honored a couple of free items on coupons, including the kids meal and onion starter. Our server was energetic and friendly, plus got our order down solid and kept us happy with requests throughout the meal. I really appreciate someone that understands their energy impacts the experience and expectations. Waiting areas are inside and outside, although people come outside to smoke near those seats. This is a busy, busy location due to the mall and neighborhood surrounding it. Be careful in the parking lot, and watch small kids coming and going to the car. read more

Within this dinner I had the most cheerful and enjoyable time. The food alone was fantastic, perfectly cooked and filling! However that isn't the only thing! The server was just about the best server i've ever experienced. Jonathan gave fantastic attitude, conversation and overall great energy. I came with my friend and we found talking to him about personal life , job life etc was as easy as if we were close friends! And thanks to him our experience is definitely what will bring us back! This is my favorite Texas Roadhouse Location in Kentucky. It's moved since I was a kid, but still resides in St. Matthews. They maintain the Texas Roadhouse standard, providing high quality fresh cut steaks, and amazing service even on the busiest of nights. This place is extremely clean, well kept, and modern. I always recommend a traditional cut 12oz New York Strip, or the Filet Medallion Trio! Their spins on Long Island Iced teas are also some of the best, and their margaritas are worth raving about too! I hadn't been to Texas Roadhouse in years and was excited to finally get out with friends and enjoy a good meal. Our waiter was very pushy from the time we sat down until we left. The steak was delicious but it's very unnerving when you can't relax and catch up with friends without being pushed out the door. Next time I will go to outer loop. read more

Last week I took my boys to one of their favorite dinner places, Texas Roadhouse, and it did not disappoint. My kids love the steaks. Visited 26 February 2023 After a failed attempt at a nearby restaurant due to long waiting time, I decided to eat at Texas Roadhouse. I was able to conveniently get on the waitlist using my mobile phone. Once I was in the parking lot, I was notified to check in with the hostess. After checking in, it was a short wait until we were seated. It seemed a bit crowded from all the guests waiting outside to get in, but it was not overwhelmingly loud or crowded once inside. Once we were seated, our waitress, Angel, greeted us, brought out hot rolls, and immediately took our drink orders. We never had to wait long. We then ordered our entrées, which came out soon thereafter and was hot and delicious. All the dishes were brought out by another staff member, and the only error was my nephew's entrée missing the fries. Angel walked up while the food was being served and immediately noticed the fries were missing. She quickly went to get some. Even before our drinks were empty, she was already bringing out refills. Had another great visit here. I like to this this is the best roadhouse location in the area I have been to. On this occasion, I got fried pickles as an appetizer. They were delicious! My entire was bbq chicken. It was tasty! I normally like to go for fries but since I'm trying to be a little more healthy, I did corn and vegetable medley for sides. I had a roll or two as well, you can't go wrong with those. Another reason why I like this location is the service. The service is always very efficient. Tonight, I may have just placed my LAST take-out order with this Texas Roadhouse. In addition to the $6 tip, I paid $29.67 for my meal. The salad was only lettuce, two croutons, and cheese. The meal included a horrible, overcooked, old-tasting, reheated, brown (instead of white) baked potato. While the steak was ordered to be cooked to a "medium" temperature, the outside of the steak was crunchy, and the inside was cooked to a well-done temperature. The server (bartender) provided excellent service. Since I know this restaurant provides much better food to their dine-in customers, take-out orders are now a thing of the past for me. When I need a take-out/pick-up order I will go to places that take better care of all their customers, not just those that can send low-quality food back to the kitchen. read more

Went for my Dad's birthday. They had prime rib on special starting with 12oz. Huge portions for $30+. My dad loves the blooming onion because it's not spicy, but it had a lot of pieces that were very overdone; wasn'tmy fav. I got the smothered chicken, which was tender & flavorful. Of course, the yeast rolls with cinnamon butter are always a crowd-pleaser. I don't typically do chain restaurants, but had to per Dad's birthday request. We had Katyana. She was very attentive. For a Saturday at 2:30, it was still fairly busy. It is very loud, so if you have anyone with hearing aides or a child with ASD, I would recommend asking staff to seat you in a corner in the back where it might be quieter. read more

We have always had mixed experiences at Texas Roadhouse. Some great, some absolutely terrible. Over the last couple years, most have been generally bad. We haven't eaten here in a while and my Wife decided she wanted to give it another try. We were seated quickly, the atmosphere was lively with a pretty full restaurant but the music, tv's stationed around and plenty of staff kept things enjoyable and flowing smoothly. Our server Taylor was friendly, attentive, and provided great service. We were immediately served with hot fresh rolls and cinnamon butter and our drinks immediately after. We ordered some cheese fries which also came out hot and fresh. Off to a great start. We ordered a couple steaks with sides which all came out cooked as requested, well seasoned, good sear, and very tasty. We were very pleasantly pleased up to this point. Every good restaurant manager/owner knows that dessert can make or break you. It's the top off to the meal and the last thing the customer is going to be left with remembering. In the past, we have never once gotten a good dessert from here so we normally just don't order them. I've been on the carnivore and keto diets for quite some time and splurging for the holidays so even bad desserts are pretty decent to me at this point. I pulled up their menu on my phone to look at the photos and the apple pie looked pretty dang good. See photo attached. We ordered that and what we were served with was a travesty that looked nothing like it. I would describe what we received as a bread pudding soup concoction with half melted ice cream and way too much sauce that looked like black tar. I took a bite and it tasted about like it looked. Took a second bite to give it a chance and it was just bad. Tasted like it had been frozen and everything was just a wet mushy mess and was weirdly over hot in some places like it had been microwaved. I was hoping that Taylor would ask if there was a problem or if we liked it, but she never did. So, we used the kiosk and paid the check. If a restaurant is willing to serve slop like this, I'll pay for it and move on. Not gonna make a stink about it. BUT, People should know what they are getting into before they order it so here you go. See photo. She just now came by as I was writing this review and asked if we were finished with it even though it still looks exactly like it did in the photo attached and again never asked if anything was wrong or if we liked it. I get it, it's awkward, I never brought it to her attention forcing the issue, and she otherwise did a fantastic job but there's definitely room for improvement here. A couple small improvements in dessert quality and server awareness of issues like this would go a LONG way Texas Roadhouse. 3/5 read more

Big fan of the Texas Roadhouse chains. The ribeye is One of my favorite steaks. Based off food and value most Texas roadhouses are going to be a 4 or 5 star for me. This location was solid. Had nice sized seating area and since we were dining in during the covid pandemic they did a really good job of following protocols and using safe practices. Rolls and peanuts always good. My steak I got left me a bit disappointed this time. I love there ribeye. I order it medium usually. This time it was over cooked pretty badly. So wasn't as tasty as usual. I did try the chili side for the first time and I did enjoy that. So I'll probably start adding that to my side rotations when visiting the roadhouse. read more

Texas Roadhouse Shelbyville Rd was so disappointing today!! . My grandson asked to have his 14th birthday there and I hate that the experience and service was horrible. There were 8 in our party and everybody's food came out wrong. My grandsons requested a "well done" burger with just pickles and ketchup his order came out medium rare pink inside with lettuce and tomato. Had to send his burger order back to the kitchen and he finally didn't want it after they brought out wrong again!! BRI our waiter appeared to be irritable and her energy was way off when she came to our table to get our orders. My husband and I ordered food to go and they sent his Caesar salad home full of overloaded Caesar dressing and it was soggy and wet. We had to toss it when we got home. Loaded baked potatoes came home not loaded and we spent $80 and when you're spending your hard earned money on restaurants you should expect great service. We had to ask BRI for "To Go" boxes and bags over and over. BRI kept walking off fast and EXTREMELY RUDE!! When time to pay she pointed to the kiosk on the table (which I had never done before) and didn't explain how to use it she kept walking off fast and showed no interest in helping nor explaining! And not to mention it was not clean the floor and chairs were very dirty! I will never visit that particular Texas Road House Shelbyville Rd. ever again! Wow! I cannot believe its been over 2 years since the last time we ate here, but it was. Time seems to be moving at the speed of light lately. It was a Saturday evening when we arrived, and the place had a wait, but strangely we got seated before many other couples waiting before we arrived. We sat and immediately was served those delectable rolls with that amazing cinnamon butter. I ate one, then another, before he asked us if we wanted more rolls. It was hard, but I didnt get any more rolls. They tasted just like they did 2 years ago. Fantastic! We love those rolls! I ordered Country Fried Chicken covered in brown gravy along side a loaded sweet potato. She ordered the Sirloin. We also had salads as another side, one Caesar and the other house. The House salad was much better than the Caesar. They add sliced egg in the house salad which is pretty good. She said the Caesar was a bit dry and requested a bit more dressing, then it was much better. The service surprisingly is always good at least for us. I have never had bad service at Texas Roadhouse since it opened long ago. Texas Roadhouse seems to have it down to a science as they did back when it was on Dutchman's Ln, which by the way we miss dearly, as the new location just doesn't have that ole magic the old one had.
