4/22/26 Tonight we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. So we put ourselves on the waiting list at 8:16, arrived at 8:21 and was seated. They have the best Waiting List system. Our server tonight was Dakota. She was absolutely delightful. She introduced herself to us and took our drink order. She just had a cute way of talking to us and using hand motions. She was back very quickly and we were finished deciding what we were going to order. My husband bought the Herb Crested Chicken with a Caesar salad, and extra rice. I had the 6 oz Sirloin and a Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Butter and Brown Sugar and green beans. Our food was wonderful and Dakota was a jewel! I hope to see her again! read more

This place was absolutely packed on a random Tuesday night, so they must be doing something right. I got a sirloin and sweet potato. The steak was a thick cut and pretty good. It could have been a bit more seasoned for my taste and was a tad over cooked. Still, I ate every bite. The hot rolls are an obvious favorite. The star of the night was the server. We had eight people and every table was full. He was always there with refills and was both pleasant and professional. One of the best servers I have had in a long time. This is very casual dining so come comfortable and enjoy! read more

Let me preface this by saying we are fans of Texas Roadhouse, but hadn't been here in a while. Sat at the bar on a Tuesday night. Plenty of room and service was great. We both ordered the 6oz sirloin, medium, but my wife's steak was way undercooked. She didn't say anything but didn't finish it. My steak was a thinner cut so may have stayed on the grill the same amount of time but was a true medium. Green beans were the best I've ever had. Chili was tasty but not hot - more like lukewarm. Our overall experience was fine but nothing to write home about. We will go back and hope the kitchen has more attention to detail next time. read more

It's an old fashion steak house who use to have peanut shells & straw on the floor but no longer, the peanuts came in a bucket-still fun. Started off with tall, cold beer, Manhattan cocktail, & delicious rolls w/whipped honey cinnamon butter. Dinner is started with a salad, steaks were cooked perfectly, grill shrimp, side dishes delicious, we passed on dessert. The staff was very attentive, ambiance was comfortable & entertaining. We haven't been to Texas Roadhouse since we left Texas 4 years ago. So, this was a touch of nostalgia for us. We were stunned to see the place crammed at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. But there was plenty of staff and we were promptly greeted with a basket of fabulous warm rolls and sweet butter. We each started with a side salad. Lettuce, shredded carrots, shredded cheese, a token cherry tomato or two and egg. Nothing special, but a good start. My wife ordered the 6 oz sirloin and I went with the 8 oz NY strip. She added a sweet potato, I chose the standard baked potato. So you know, the loaded sweet potato (an up charge) adds marshmallows, brown sugar, sour cream and about a thousand other calories. She passed. Her steak was a disappointment. Chewy, mealy and slightly overdone. I felt it was on a par with Outback and that's hardly high praise. My strip steak was tender, perfectly seared with a crisp bark and expertly seasoned. Winner by a knockout. The baked potato was excellent. Kosher salt on the skin made it nice and crispy while the potato was done all the way through. Some margarine. A little salt & pepper. Ouila. A final thought. Roadhouse has payment kiosks at each table. And to keep you entertained, there are trivia games. Wanna play? It will cost you $2. Hardly a deal breaker, but full disclosure wasn't obvious. read more

Worst service than your typical IHOP. Called a day before to request reservation, denied because they dont do reservations, only waitlists. Called an hour before I came to be put on the waitlist. Once I got there with 3/5 members I was told that in order to be sat I had to -wait- for the full party to be here. 5 mins later full party gets there we are guided to a booth that seats only 4 while there is a booth that sits 6 across from us . Asked to move but instead they offered a chair in the middle of the busy isle for one of us to sit. Told them no , they said we would have to -wait- for a bigger table to open. Left, drove 10mins on the freeway to Buca Di Beppo off of Hurstborne and Taylorsville. Dont regret my decision. If you want good food and coldstone icecream that is a block away then I highly recommend going to Buca Di Beppo, Pier 17 or KPOT which are in the same shopping center. If you want Mcdonalds playground ambience, and employee's with tshirts saying "i love my job" while theyre all frantically walking around bumping into you and giving you desocialized stares , goto Texas Roadhouse on Shelbyville. read more

My wife and I ate at your restaurant today. The the Coca Cola was good. The salad was mediocre. I ordered my baked potato with no sour cream and I got sour cream. But the main thing was. I ordered a. Large rib eye steak. Medium. And when it came to my table. It was rare. And it was full of gristle. I can eat rare steak. But I can't eat it if I can't swallow it. So. The waitress came and I told her, and she took the steak back. About 15 minutes later. He looked like a manager came and asked me to cut into the new steak. To make sure that it was OK. Well, the new stick wasn't a rib eye. It was a sirloin steak. I know the difference. In the new stake was well done. It was not as grisly as the first stake, but still it was tough. And it arrived too late for me to enjoy it. So I ate my baked potato and some rolls. And decided that I didn't want that stake. I told the manager and to the waitress that the steak was well done. Not a rib eye. And I wasn't gonna eat it. No one offered to remove that steak from my bill. And I'm not asking for a refund. I just want you to be aware that your staff in Middletown doesn't do a very good job. And I won't go back. To any Texas Roadhouse. Ken would be ashamed. ps. I tried to leave this. Our group of 10 ended up at a large high top table sitting near the bar area. It was an especially busy night since many patrons were apparently there for a fundraiser dine-in the same as our group. We waited for a table for about 40 minutes and cooled our jets at the bar in the meantime. Menu had the expected beef steak options; however, we had some vegans in our group who were able to be accommodated with multiple options. I went with a steakhouse filet salad comprised of mixed salad greens topped with tender filet strips (requested medium), Bleu Cheese crumbles, bacon bits, red onions, tomatoes and croutons, and served with a side of creamy Bleu Cheese and also Italian dressing. Presentation was great and the filet was cooked medium and perfectly per request. This went great with the ice cold beer in a frosty mug. Waitstaff were wonderful and handled our table (and more) like a champ. Our waiter was able to attend to us when needed and then some -- waters, drinks, plates, silverware, straws, butter, rolls, food service, refills, to-go boxes, final separate bills with credit, cash, and change. His attitude was a 10+. Great dinner and glad the restaurant was willing to support a great cause. Plan to return. read more

I'll have to give my experience a 3 star tonight. Texas Roadhouse is a very busy joint and I have no issues with them usually. My problem this time was just the food quality wasn't where you'd expect it to be. My food (Beef Tips Plate) came out just warm. Everything tasted as if it had been sitting for a minute before they brought it out. My silverware was dirty and the glasses we had our drinks in felt gritty on the outside. This is not the usual experience that we have at Texas Roadhouse so I'll just chalk it up to a not so stellar night but wanted to let you guys know. read more

Ok, so we've lived in J-Town for over 7 years and haven't visited Texas Roadhouse in all that time. (P.S. You have to say it like Peter Griffin. "ROOAD-House"). We visit that area of Middletown quite frequently and when we consider eating there the parking lot is jammed. This time (Black Friday) we decided We Were Going To Eat There -- no matter what. We've eaten at several other locations in the past and were looking forward to this. When we arrived there was a flurry of activity around the hostess stand as we added our name to the list. Our estimated wait was 10 to 20 minutes, so we stood and waited as others came in and while servers and seaters escorted guests to their tables and brought those amazing rolls get the dinner experience started. There is a decidedly country motif going on here, and I am A-OK with that. Horses and saddles and cowboys dot the décor landscape with the overhead music being....of course...country music (both Old Country and contemporary). As soon as we were seated Angel came by to introduce himself as our server. We had had enough time to decide what we wanted and ordered as we placed our drink orders. Angel's menu knowledge was impressive as he was able to steer us down the path to a perfect meal. The amount of teamwork and hustle in this place is nothing short of amazing. Team members taking orders, delivering meals, cleaning tables as soon as they're empty, and getting people seated seems almost chaotic, but it works...and it works WELL. I am 100% impressed with the staff at this location. I spent many years doing what they do and I appreciate when a team works as well as this one does. In a rare occurrence my wife and I ordered the same thing (New York strip). It took about 10 minutes before our food was delivered, and it was delivered hot and accurate. I was impressed with my New York strip. Seasoned just right and it was as Medium as a Medium steak could get and it was deeee-licious. The baked potato (is there a better side to go with a New York strip?) was perfect, but could have had a bit more butter. As busy and as packed as Texas ROOAD-House was, this was a great visit. We waited for over an hour to be seated after they told us it would be a 45 minute wait. When we asked when we would be seated they told us we were next MULTIPLE times, then proceeded to seat numerous large parties and smaller parties as well. At first we tried to give grace because we were a larger party and it was a busy night. After being lied to multiple times and not being sat for almost 1.5 hours we decided to leave. Everyone in the party ordered different things from the menu and everything was served as ordered. Of course it is a steakhouse so football games were playing and it can be loud. Texas Roadhouse located just off the Gene Snyder exit of shelbyville road in the Middletown commons shooing center in Lousiville Kentucky. Texas Roadhouse is my favorite chain steakhouse. The complimentary cinnamon rolls are my absolute favorite dinner rolls and they make great steaks and actually cook them correctly. This location like other Texas Roadhouse locations always is very well staffed and pretty large on the inside. The decor screams southwestern theme that you would expect from an establishment With the word Texas in the name except they do it with a local flair added to it. My personal favorite dish to get at Texas roadhouse in there Fort Worth ribeye. Very tender and delicious tasting steak. They also have a great New York strip and some tasty ribs. However it tough for me to not get the ribeye as it is very good. This particular location isn't the closest to me but I have dined here on a few occasions when out and about in the Middletown area of the city. They have always given me too notch and quick service. Overall a very nice Texas Roadhouse establishment. I always enjoy eating at this franchise and in my opinion it is the best non "top dollar" steak house the city of Lousiville has to offer. read more

We LOVE Texas Roadhouse! It is always so fun and lively, even when the weather isn't great. The servers are always great, and despite it almost always being fairly crowded, even on a Tuesday at 2 pm, the food comes out within a reasonable amount of time, meaning not TOO fast, but not too slow. I am partial to the cactus blossom, my husband loves the Texas red chili, and he also loves the ribs, bacon cheeseburger, and pulled pork sandwich. I tend to get the mushroom jack sandwich for lunch (hold the mushroom...I'm that person) but I love the herb crusted chicken with a baked potato and green beans for dinner. My wife ordered Chicken and had to ask three different times for honey mustard. The waitress was very unattentive. I used to really love this location. This is one of our go-to restaurants when we want to pick up food or dine in. With prices these days, you get a lot of food for your money. They do a wonderful job with carry out; they are on top of the details. And the steak is even better when you eat-it there. We usually get the sirloin steak, cooked medium, a baked potato and side salad. The rolls are always good and I like mine with whipped butter instead of the cinnamon butter. Tonight I finally tried the rattlesnake bites and I can see why they are called the best appetizer there. So good!! This place is always busy for a reason. Second try get steak that is edable but not New York strip. My brother who is a retired meat manager at Grocery Chain in midwest verified. I had 6 ounce sirloin at Dixie location on Friday and it was good. I believe issue is management and staff at St. Mathews location. Looks like this location is off my list for future dinning, Indiana and Dixie handles larger tables better. read more

This is the first time I've gone back to edit a prior 5 star review but I feel obligated to do so as I was highly disappointed in my last visit to this location nearly 3 weeks ago now. I don't often order steak at restaurants for fear of it being cut poorly or cooked incorrectly but with Texas Roadhouse, steaks are cooked properly every time I've been and if the steak looked horrendous, the kitchen manager wouldn't bother sending it to the table. Not on this occasion! I ordered my usual 12oz ribeye w/ potato while my wife ordered the 10oz ribeye w/ potato both cooked medium & medium-well respectively. Started with house salads that are normally decent quality but on this trip, they seemed a bit dated which I found odd at 6pm. Shortly thereafter, our steaks arrived and believe it or not the 10oz cut was larger than the 12oz cut? My ribeye was a whopping 1/4" to 3/8" thick, came in 2 separate pieces and appeared to have fallen between the grill rack where it rested for 10 mins or so until it was a crisp shade of black on one end. I immediately knew that no steak of this thickness could be cooked as requested, not to mention, this is a steakhouse! I would expect a ribeye of this quality from Waffle House but not TR! So I questioned the server if this cut was always this thin? She asked what cut I ordered and I stated "ribeye" to which she replied, "yes that's how ribeyes are cut". Upon being given that reply, my mind was made up that I would no longer be visiting TR for a long time to come, if ever again. I am not one to complain as I assume any business would put its best product forward in all cases. In this case, a business centered around steaks, served me the equivalent of a "minute steak" at your local grocer and basically told me that's how it is when I asked about it. I came to meet a friend on a Monday for dinner around 6:30. The parking lot was no issue. Plenty of parking spots open near the entrance. Regardless, it was loud inside! The place was crowded! And the staff kept singing happy birthday about five times to multiple groups that had come in. My friend told me it's always packed in here. Dang! At some point, we were yelling at each other over our meals since it was really loud! I did enjoy the country music they played in the background though. The rolls were nothing special, but the cinnamon butter made them 10 times more amazing! We also shared potato skins which were topped with melted cheese and bacon. My friend requested extra bacon, which was absolutely perfect! It's kinda filling to eat. They aren't skimpy on the potato like at TGIF's. I'd totally recommend this as an appetizer though! I ordered me country fried chicken. It was alright. Kinda dry. Presentation is lacking with a lot of their food. I got a side of apple sauce and a Caesar salad. It was like they carelessly threw the croutons on there. It tasted good though! I will add that having a salad as a side is kinda nice. It kinda sucks to have it tacked on to the bill sometimes. My friend got the steak with shrimp. She added a house salad as a side and steak fries. She typically orders this and is never disappointed. I also got sweet tea. Yum! I drank the whole thing. Fantastic! They give you so much food! I took two bites of my country fried chicken and called it quits! They even have complimentary peanuts on the table! Wow! The staff was amazing! The food was so greasy that my dogs wouldn't eat the leftovers of which we had plenty. Our appetizer and my house salad arrived before the Bread that they are known for and even the butter was nasty (all cinnamon no sweet). My boyfriend cut into his chicken fried steak and oil ran out of the meat. the ribs maybe fall off the bone but that's only because they cooked they to death and slapped BBQ sauce on them. Our server looked like he was coming off a heavy trip total space cadet. Needless to say we will not be returning to this location and we had tried for 2 years to get into this place but never could because it was so busy. After a long hot day out in the Louisville son you decided to grab dinner. Which of course started with a frozen hurricane margarita with an extra shot of Patron. My friend grabbed a beer Dinner started with roll and a honey butter that were hot and delicious. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. They were actually served after our meal got to the table. Needless to say we never ate them. I ordered chicken Critters with loaded mashed potatoes and corn. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. Corn and loaded potatoes were great. Unfortunately, my friends luck was not so good. She ordered steak and french fries. The first time they came out they were so salty she couldn't eat them. The server was very apologetic took the food back had her steak remade and the fries unseasoned. The fries were fine however the steak was still very very salty. They tried a third time and the flavor was good not too salty at the stake was very rare and she had ordered it medium. So we decided to take it home and finish it on the girl. The waiter did take the steak off the bill. So even though there were some issues it's getting map correct, the staff was more than helpful and apologetic read more

What a horrible experience! This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. However, tonight was awful. I called ahead for a party of 7 to celebrate my daughter's birthday and was told that would be no problem as long as our party arrived together. But when all our party arrived we were told we had to wait, despite multiple large tables being open. I asked the hostess if we were able to be seated at one of those tables and was told no. We continued to wait and during that time a party that arrived after us was seated at the table I asked about. At this point I asked to speak to a manger regarding why tables were being sat in front of us considering we had a full party that has been waiting. I was addressed so demeaningly was told that it's just how it was and he didn't have an explanation or any recourse. What a horrid way to treat a group trying to celebrate.
