Came here for the first time since moving to the Valley. We had been to TRs in other states. We knew it was popular so we got there when they opened at 3 pm. Despite being a Tuesday, the place got busy, very quickly. The ambiance is casual steakhouse, with wood tables and booths. It is a good sized restaurant. We were part of the first group to arrive, but it still took about 5 minutes to be seated. They tried to put us at a table for two, but my wife very nicely asked if we could move to a bigger table, and the hostess was nice enough to allow it. I could see why TR is popular: you can get a steak at a very reasonable price. They have a M-TH special up until 5 pm. $12 for one of the listed entrees, including the two sides. I had already looked at the menu before we came and my choice was on the list: a 6-oz sirloin steak. My wife got the 12-oz ribeye, still only $24. We both got salads and I got the green beans. We both got sauteed mushrooms on top of our meat and the three shrimp added to our entree. You pay $4 for the shrimp; I was surprised to learn that they charge $2.29 for the sauteed mushrooms. I must have missed that. Still, if I had to do it over, I'd still get the mushrooms. They were great. The meat was grilled perfectly, the salads had croutons, cheese, a hard boiled egg, and tomatoes. Yummy. The green beans had a nice flavor, with bacon bits added to them, but they were mushy and in a juice that wasn't really to my liking. Of course, the complimentary buns and honey butter are to die for. Our server was Brooklyn. She was very nice and attentive, frequently asking us if we needed anything else. Our water glasses were not refilled. We did feel a light pressure to not linger at the table. Nothing overt, just subtle. Maybe I imagined it. Overall, the service was great. Everything started out exactly as expected. The food was great. The rolls disappeared before I could pretend I was only having one. Our waitress was awesome. Then it was time to pay with those little tabletop computers...because apparently we've decided that customers should also work the register. That's when things took a turn. Ursula from the little mermaid was the "neighboring waitress", who by the way has the personally of a sock drawer, and was all inconvenienced that the iPads got switched around and I paid for the wrong meal. I mean, it's literally your job to bring me the food and then bring me the check. And now it's a complete meltdown - almost as if i asked her to tear down the restaurant and rebuilt it while I watched. Competed joke. Shelia, or Shayla or something like that was her name. I didn't love her. But I love the rolls. So soft. So buttery. So amazing. Ursula was not that. If we get her as a waitress, I will absolutely ask for another or to be moved, or maybe just get it to go. It's literally not worth watching her have a complete meltdown because the technology didn't work and she has to actually do her job.... Maybe work at a gas station, or Walmart? Or Dairy Queen. Love this place! Was able to get in on a busy Saturday night through the waitlist and didn't have to wait long at all. We were immediately seated and the waitstaff was incredibly kind. Fresh rolls were immediately brought to our table and our server was quick to take our drink orders. We ordered the rib appetizer, bone in ribeye and prime rib and everything was fabulous! Didn't have to wait long at all for our food order and everything came out delicious. The manager came to greet our table and introduce himself which was super cool. They were playing fun country music and there were a also a couple of birthdays in the restaurant while we dine there. We paid from the mobile device at the table which made things easy for us. I went to Texas Roadhouse today for dinner and our server was so kind and so accommodating to my exclusively breast fed infants dairy allergy, she made sure nothing I ordered would have any butter or any dairy at all on it and spoke with the cook personally to be 100% sure. She was happy to ask as well, even though it made more work for her. The food was amazing as well, I had the ribs, green beans, and fries with a delicious mocktail. Service is excellent! Every employee we came in contact with was kind and helpful. Our table was nice and clean when we sat down. Nice atmosphere inside. Unfortunately though for the food... The bread rolls & fried onion blossom was the best part of our meals. My kids had the grilled chicken and french fries and they barely ate any, the chicken was pretty dry. I had a large house salad with chicken and id give it 2/5 stars, chicken was dry and their ranch is funky. My husband had the Sirloin Steak with fries. He said the steak was tender and delicious. Let's get one thing straight...I do not go out of my way to give chain restaurants 5-star ratings. To be honest, I've had so-so, good and great experiences at this location and have hesitated to write a review. However, especially over the past 6 months, all of my experiences have been great...today being better than the rest. To start, our server Lisa was incredible. She was warm, funny, accurate, proactive and suggestive without being pushy. Never wanted for a thing under her service as she was ahead on all drink refills and swung by the table often even with a heavy table load. The rolls were hot and fresh. I still wish they served with regular whipped butter rather than the honey butter, but I digress. I ordered the herb crusted chicken with a side salad and fries. Lisa suggested it with the grilled mushrooms and onions but I'm not a fan of mushrooms...she offered just onions with a promise I would love it, and if not, an immediate replacement. Done. House salad came out first...all veggies were delightfully fresh and paired nicely with the ranch dressing. I am actually not a huge fan of their ranch dressing as it's too thick and not as flavorful as I want it to be...but this salad and ranch was a great pairing. Food came out quickly...and I was immediately impressed with how juicy the chicken looked. Well I found out that it was also exquisitely tender (no need for a knife). The grilled onions just bumped it up a notch on the delicious scale. Fries were crispy, but had soggy edges from the chicken juices...still fantastic. I am going to start this review with why does Texas Roadhouse have call ahead seating when management plans on pushing your table back anyways? My sister did call ahead seating. We were a party of 16 so we knew it was going to be challenging fitting all of us in. Texas Roadhouse isn't the best place for large parties but my nephew wanted to celebrate his 21st birthday here. We were told to arrive at 5:45. Our reservation was at 6. 6:15 rolled around... Nothing. 6:25 came and nothing. I finally went up the the host stand. My brother in law checked in a few times and their response was "they are trying to get guests out". When I asked why a few big tables have been sat before us and the hostesses response was that they only need 2 tables vs we needed 3. I saw people come after us, eat and leave while we were still waiting for our tables. The hostess also stated that the manager had basically given our tables away to different guests 3 times. No communication from the manager to the host about the switch. The hostess called management to come up to talk to me. The manager was called many times over the head set before she headed up front. Her coward self couldn't explain why she switched up tables without communicating with the host. Just a bunch of garbage coming out of her mouth with no real explanation. Then she walked off like a joke. The kitchen manager did come up and take accountability for what happened. I don't know why he was taking blame for the floor manager's stupidity. I appreciate that he talked to us and tried to make it right. Not like his counterpart who walked off like a clown. She should not be in management if she can't take the heat for screwing up. We were finally sat 6:40. They gave us 2 bs tables when the whole time they were gaslighting us about 3 tables. That's why they couldn't seat us. "We needed 3 tables". They did give us some apps to calm the flames. But honestly, you think an onion blossom is going to fix the manager's stupidity for screwing up? We had 2 servers tonight. One at each table. They were good servers but their timing was off. It started off promising and then it fell apart. We got served our dinner when the kids were still waiting for their starters like salad and chili. We were boxing up our dinner and the second half of the kids table hadn't even gotten their meals yet. It was complete sh!t show. Granted, the servers did try really hard to make up for how things started with the pony show for my birthday and my nephew's birthday. But how can you recover from that big of a flop? My food was cold. I got beef tips for dinner. The mashed potatoes were not warm and my gravy on my steak tips had already started to have a film from sitting in the kitchen from sitting under a heat lamp. Not the most appealing way to receive your food but you can't be picky when you're hungry. I wouldn't use the word disappointing for tonight's dining experience. Is there even a word worse than disappointing? I'm mad that we spent our hard earned money on this place tonight. I didn't even take any photos of my food cause it looked like complete trash. Film on my gravy, gravy splattered on the rim of my plate. "Just shove it out". The sad thing is this is my father in law's favorite joint so I know we will be back. I just know not to have any expectations in this joint. No expectations means no disappointment. My last words for this review is get rid of the manager with the shoulder length brown hair. I used to love going to Texas Roadhouse but this locations music is so loud I can't hear when they call my name. I received a "table is ready" text and proceeded to stand inside crowded by people for 20 minutes. Everyone who came in with me had been called and everyone after as well. I eventually just had to leave after 30 minutes. It's ridiculous. They need to fix their wait system or figure out a better one. The last three times I've gone it's 40 minutes of waiting after the text and then the servers are rude or the food is messed up in some way. read more

You'd think that'd be kinda trashy, right? The prices sure weren't trashy tho haha! It certainly wasn't a Dennys back then. Nowadays tho, eek! I hate to say it, but the quality of the food is very similar to Dennys, BUT with the same costs or actually, much higher now and especially these days seeing as EVERYTHING is expensive. I was stoked to eat here again bc I only had great memories of this place, but damn! The chicken I got looked more like steak strips lol, also was tough like a well done steak. Was it good? Well, you know how some times you get a plate and so much of it is crap? But then there are like 6-10 bites where you are like..."damn! Ok! This sh_t is slappin!" That's how it was with the chicken lol. The fries. Steak fries are always good. This time... they were not. Soggy. soggy. soggy. There's nothing hate more than soggy fries! Actually, soggy bread might be worse lol That brings me to the bread they serve. Rather, the rolls. Now these rolls SLAPPED! And that butter stuff they serve with it! Oooooh, chyle! Now that sh_t is GOOD! I had way too many of those rolls lol. My friends were 30 mins late. So they kept bringing rolls lol. Once I tasted that Texas Roadhouse butter..:it was ova! Is it sad that the rolls were the best part of the meal? I'd think so. The staff was super friendly. From the second I walked in to the second we all left. Our waitress, super friendly, but she rarely RARELY ever came back to the table to check drinks, ask if we needed anything. Again, very nice girl, but waitress-wise... oof, not the best. I get that it was incredibly busy. This is located at the village. Major tourist trap. So naturally this place would be busy, but I just think if one can't handle big crowds maybe waiting tables isn't for them? I actually hate saying anything bad about her, because she was so nice, but yeah, was just kinda taken aback by that. Would I go here again? Yeah...no. The quality of their food is gone. I wonder if they got bought out by some corporation and they ruined what was once great about this once amazing chain restaurant. I know my review won't change anyone's mind, but this is worth putting out into the world...especially if you remember how amazing this place once was. Again, it's at the village. Sooooo many restaurants in that area. This place is convenient, especially if you can't get a table anywhere else...but even the wait here can be long. Use caution when going here haha! I got food poisoning!!! So my family of 4 are in the process of moving from hawaii, I know i know.. WHY? We haven't had Texas Roadhouse for the entire time that we lived in Hawaii so it was a no-brainer to eat at one of our favorite restaurants. BIG MISTAKE! We logged in and placed ourselves on the wait list from the app.. we were notified a table was ready... we waited an additional 20 minutes after they called us to the "next up" area. One of my sons ordered the chili.. he stated it tasted off, so didn't eat it. I ordered the fried chicken with white gravy, mashed potato with brown gravy, and a side salad (with everything). I also ate fried pickles and loaded potato skins with ranch.. no idea what got me violently ill that night, thinking it was the mashed potato or chicken and gravy since others ate salad, fried potatos, and pickles... being on a road trip and puking/ no 2 is no fun!! We tried calling multiple times since we had a party of 7 and their online waitlist would only allow us to add up to 6 people. After calling at least four times with no answer we just added ourselves to the waitlist. Once we arrived to the restaurant we checked in and explained our situation and she said we would need to wait over half an hour for a table and was very little to no help for a fix. Texas Roadhouse fix your waitlist and your people skills. Was looking forward to celebrate a special occasion but gladly took our service elsewhere. read more

My wife and I went for an early Sat dinner.....2:30pm. Ordered two Filet Mignon Steak dinners medium. They came to table rare. Had to sit there for 5 min before I could get the servers attention. When they originally brought them they never asked if they were cooked correctly. They just dumped them off at the table and the girl took off like a jet. After cutting into them they looked like they had a heart beat. Sent both back. My second steak, same thing. Had to return it. Not waiting a third time for my food while my wife is eating. My wife's second steak was well done, dry and butterflied. Why butterflied for a medium steak? This was the worst food and service we have gotten at this restaurant. We have eaten here quite frequently over the years too. What bothers me, after TWO steaks undercooked I had to ask the mgr for a refund for my meal! For the mgr to not even offer a refund for my meal or even hand us a card for a free appetizer for our next visit isn't a very good business practice. Just horrible. As we were sitting and waiting for our second steak to arrive the table next to us had the SAME issue. The group was not happy. At the time we ordered they were busy (as usual) but not extremely busy. Server seemed to be annoyed with us because our $29.00 steaks weren't cooked correctly to our order. UNACCEPTABLE for a high profile restaurant as they are. I know mistakes are made but the second time it better be correct and for a mgr and server play it off and tell us, "it happens" isn't a great excuse. A few things first. I've been to 5 different Texas Roadhouse'. Getting a table for anything more than 4 people can extend the time significantly. Be prepared. I also noticed a review regarding the availability of prime rib. Prime rib, GOOD prime rib takes more effort that a typical cut of steak. I noticed that the Yakima, WA location rarely has Prime Rib on the weekdays. I'm not sure if its a staffing or supply issue, but I like to think that's how they maintain the quality. Speaking of, their Prime Rib is AMAZING. The only time I dont get it is when I've already been recently and need to get something else. We had an issue getting a table for six. We waited 20 minutes outside, then got a txt that we were on deck and then we stood there and watched other parties, including several 6 top's get seated. I asked the host for a status and they were having trouble finding us and then finally an "oh" and something was mumbled about us being moved but that she would we get us up next. Only 5-10 mins after that. Our waitress was amazing and had a great sense of humor. We got to see 3 different line dances while there and it makes for a great atmosphere. A very busy place! It's nice to be able to "reserve" a time before you go! We were seated fairly soon. We both ordered steaks, sirloin and New York, and the sides were wonderful! Dinner comes with a choice of 2 sides, and we tried the side salad (2-thumbs up), baked potato (2-thumbs up), sweet potato (again, 2-thumbs up), and fresh vegetables (a little overcooked but still good). The warm rolls with cinnamon butter are AMAZING! Prices are reasonable, and the staff was BUSY but pleasant and attentive. A manager even stops by to say hello. Perfect size with melted cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and sour cream. Ft Worth Ribeye w/ Baked Potato loaded and Steak Fries: That ribeye sealed the juice and moisture. Tender and savory. Baked potato was tasty and flavorful. Steak fries filled my appetite quickly. We enjoyed our meals and beverages with lively conversations. Server provided top notch customer service and offered great tips in menu selection, extra napkins, and water refills. My husband and I surprised them with covering tab. First thing I walked in and I thought I was going to be seating at the bar I asked the waitress is it okay to sit here, she replied No it's not okay very rudely she said you have to sit at the bar. The bar was very busy once a couple people left I decided to move two different spot because the spot I was in was in the corner and in very weird seating. The server decided to tell me that oh you moved, I need to tell the people inside so we don't mix up the food which I haven't like I don't have a big deal to me. She made it sound like it was a major inconvenience whatever. The order came out wrong, That's where sweet potato was everything on the side. I asked for a steak with a mushroom and onions on the side also as you can see from the picture, there's no sweet potato and the mushroom and onions are on the steak. They told me that they could change the baked potato to a sweet potato, I figured I'd at this point I'm just hungry and tired and decided just take the baked potato. My roommates and I came to have dinner tonight. We had called making a reservation in hopes to get sat with a friend of ours. My roommate called twice and spoke with the manager and the hostess confirming our time at 6:30. We came in at 6:30 and were informed that our table was given up. They had down that our time was 6:10. I understand a timing misunderstanding, but we did confirm twice. We were then met with a hostess that spoke very rudely and with no great customer service qualities. She escalated the situation by raising her voice and telling us to step to the side. She told us a manager would be speaking with us. We were then given dirty looks by many of the workers. This made us feel gross and unwanted But our server, Emilie, made the experience so much more enjoyable! She was so kind and checked in on us often. This absolutely made our night! I feel like once you have been to one Texas Roadhouse you have been to them all. We came here a week ago with family and while the service was good from our waitress everything else was just ok. Inside the restaurant again is just another location and was clean and well kept. Once seated our waitress was very attentive and we had great service. The food however was just ok...I had the ribeye cooked medium rare. The steak while cooked pretty well lacked a lot of flavor. That was the disappointment as well as a few family members.
