The food is always pretty good. The issue is the servers. The are friendly, no doubt, but when my wife went in to use the restroom, all of the stalls were occupied by employees. *Long story short, waitress got our order wrong, we didn't have time to wait for our correct order to be prepared and were expected to pay ( and did) for something we didn't order* My husband and I went for the first time to a Texas Roadhouse. Will never go again. He hates fatty steaks so he ordered New York strip. The waitress put his order in as a ribeye. When his plate arrived he mentioned to me it looked a little thin and fatty. When the waitress came back he asked her if his steak was a New York strip, she went and checked and she had put the order in wrong. She did offer to put in the order again, but by this time I was well into my meal and did he did not want to wait for another steak to cook. My family and I came here to eat after going to the pumpkin patch, mind you we were all tired and hungry. After going to the concierge she advised us that it would be about 15 min wait to get our group of table ready and since the place was a bit busy we agree to the wait, after 30 plus minutes we didn't hear anything and so we decided to ask, and they tell us that it was almost ready our server just needed to finish setting it up so we waited another 8 minutes once we were taken to out table we notice that the place was a mess, trash on the floors and everything, but since we waited all that time we decided to stay. We had 3 booth tables assigned to us it was packed once we sat so I asked the waiter for 2 high chairs for our two babies and he comes back with 1 booster chair, so I told him like I said earlier I needed 2 high chairs. I initially did not mind theistake as he had seem to be a bit new as a waiting staff, but his other server who was working with him goes on sarcasticly says that the booster chair was for the booth so I told her that it was packed! As if she d Couldn't see it, eventually we get the seats and proceeded to place our orders. After a long while we eventually got our drinks and after awhile I ask aren't we supposed to get some bread or something, so I asked the one of the waitstaff and she says that they'll have someone get it as it may have been out at the window during the time, eventually our original waiter brings it and the second waitress comes back with additional bread and sarcastically says you did get it, and so I tell her yes they just brought it out after I've asked. Awhile later as the female waitress refills my cup of water, she spills creating a puddle ony table, she doesn't say anything or does anything so I wiped it out and paid no mind to it, after waiting a real long time we eventually get our food but since we were all tired just a few of us eats our food and the rest decided to takeout our food, once some of our plates were empty, the female waitress piles up the plates and eventually trying to carry them out and drops them almost hitting my baby niece, although she apologized she seemed like she really did not want to be a server or had any care for her customers, although we had a bad experience I still left tip on the table and my charge account but I will definitely not comeback here again. read more

Finally decided to go and deal with the wait .. it wasn't too bad , about 25 minutes . We got our drinks and placed our order . The waitress came back ten minutes later to inform us they were out of what we ordered , then everything we attempted to order after they were out of too. We were brought side salads , opened up the roll ups and the silverware was absolutely filthy. She brought us more after the 5 I had already opened and they were all dirty as well. I just got a hot cup of water and had to clean them myself ! I sat there for quiet some time waiting for utensils to eat my salad with and when our chili was brought out they didn't bring a spoon. We asked for one and they said they were short on them and they were out of them at the moment . My food came out all in separate plates , steak on one , toppings on another , and my vegetables on another . With a table seating four where do you suppose I put all these plates ? My steak was ordered medium and it was barely medium rare , I ate only the outsides and it did not have the greatest taste ... I had a very odd flavor and so did my vegetables , which I ate only two bites of those. The check was brought out and the original food we had ordered was still on the bill, good thing we checked because that was an additional 40$. The server was sweet but the rest of the experience was nothing I would come back for at all. Excellent all around service! Went for mothers day lunch on a Sunday. Yes, the line was out the door but people were seated promptly and even after being quoted 50 minutes to be seated, was shown a table much more soon than that. The waitress was kind and helpful as well as always aware of when our glasses were getting low. The service was amazing, but don't let me stop there. Started with salads with in house made dressings, which were tasty and well portioned. The steaks were well worth the drive in from Pensacola. The seasoning/rub was so amazing, I had to try and ask the waitress if they sold it, AND THEY DO! The steaks were cooked to order perfectly and were tender even when ordered medium rare. To wrap up this great mothers day meal, they even brought out a rose to give to my mom, which brought a smile to her face which I've not seen in a very long time. I go to this restaurant every other month, and this time it was a good experience. The servers, Cat and her trainee, were friendly and made sure the drinks were never empty. They answered questions and made jokes. Honestly I enjoyed them more than I did the food. However, the food was also better than normal. Nothing was burnt or missing like other times we've gone. My husband's ribs were the way he loves them, meat falling off the bone. We'll go back again like we always do. read more

this was one if the most frustrating and ridiculous restaurant experiences ive ever had! I did the call ahead to make sure we would not have to wait too long. upon arriving the girl at the front had a total of 4 different stories of why we still had not been seated. I had s party of 12 that had to just stand around and wait till they figured it out and that was OVER a 45 minute wait! it's a Monday night, I had called ahead and still had to deal with that. then we get to our table and there Is not enough chairs or room for that matter. 3 different employees just stand there for ANOTHER 15-18 mins looking at the table, then look around and back again as if there was no way to solve this problem, while we had to stand there !! people were starting to leave the party and WALK OUT because it was obvious that no one cared or was able to understand there was, no where at this table for them to sit!! it was infuriating, ridiculous, and completely unnecessary and enough that none.of us will ever go back! read more

With COVID-19 and "Stay at Home" requirements, we REALLY want to support local businesses. We have an elderly family member living at home with us (mid 80s), underlying health issues. We decided to order out from Texas Roadhouse. Procedurally sound business operating under challenging conditions with one major hiccup. When we picked up our order, everyone was wearing masks (PPE) EXCEPT the young lady handing us our order. Very odd that all but this one person was taking precautions. I contacted the manager and he promised it would be corrected. Just putting this out there for others to consider and check that they are using standardized procedures for curbside delivery. I can honestly say that my girlfriends and I had the ABSOLUTELY best dining experience in all of Santa Rosa county today at the Milton Texas Roadhouse. The three of live in Navarre and had never been up to this restaurant. Firstly, our server Cheyenne was over the top outstanding. She was helpful, generous and patient (in getting the meals we ordered made to our very particular specifications). She went out of her way to make us happy. Secondly, the meals were just delicious! We each ordered the steak kababs, broccoli and a sweet potato - excellently prepared, so tasty! I will definitely be going back up to Milton for another meal or two, 5 stars all day!!! read more

I have never ever been disappointed with any of the sirloins, the cheapest cut, but they work magic on it. The other steaks, with the exception of the filet mignon, not quite as good. We used the call ahead app and were told 20 minutes. We started checking at the 30 minute mark and were repeatedly told we were next. At the hour mark, the hostess told us they had sat someone else at our table. Talked to the manager, who offered to "put us back on the list." This place might have the best ribs and steaks, but their chicken-fried steak is worse than even Five Sisters Blues Cafe, and that's a low bar. They call their inferior version "Country Fried Sirloin." Fine. It might be sirloin, but the piece of meat was so thin that the batter was 3-4 times the thickness of the meat. I keed you not. The meat was no thicker than those round, pressed-cardboard beer coasters at a bar. You may think that I exaggerate, but I do not. I've seen bologna slices thicker than what I got. Sure, the "sirloin" was kind of large, but it was no larger than any other chicken-fried steak that I've ever had at a sit-down eatery, where you actually get a piece of meat that looks like something that you'd make at home and enjoy. The plate arrived lukewarm and barely above room temp. I was in a large party--10 people or so--and the place had a 30-45 minute waiting list, so maybe that's to be expected. But while it might be expected, it was unwelcome and contributed a bit to my lack of enjoyment of my food. The lack of freshness and heat contributed only a bit to my disappointment because, really, while the paucity of meat in the steak itself was gobsmackingly pathetic, the white gravy was the proverbial straw that broke the sad camel's back. On the Texas Roadhouse website, there is the proud proclamation that "We handcraft almost everything we serve." Navigating to the description of what I (grudgingly) ate, I find that I had a "fresh-cut sirloin served crispy and golden, topped with made-from-scratch cream gravy." Boys and girls of Texas Roadhouse, I hate to tell you, but if that gravy was made-from-scratch, your scratch done went bad. That crap had a cloying, artificial taste that just isn't indicative of home-made white gravy. And that smooth, shiny, uniform texture is also a hallmark of gravy that has been engineered to have long holding times and be easy to make. If you want to taste white gravy the way it tastes when it is actually made-from-scratch, roll down the road to Mamma's Place, where the white gravy is delicious and made with ingredients that you recognize and have no more six letters. I refuse to believe that TR makes that dreck from basic, common ingredients. It even ruined my mashed potatoes. If you think that I am engaging in melodrama, ask for a little bowl of it the next time that you visit and experience the FAIL for yourself. This experiment doesn't apply to those that think that packaged gravy is yummy...those folks' opinions may be safely disregarded. The only thing saving this review from being one star is the staff at TR. Despite the place being absolutely full and throngs of people outside waiting to get in, our servers were responsive and speedy and nice. I've been here many times, but I usually only drink beers at the bar. I may find myself eating there again one day, but it won't be the so-called Country Fried Sirloin. What a joke. read more

This place is great, good quality delicious food and great service. We went to this one in Milton on a Sunday evening in June. I was pleasantly surprised our group of 3 didn't have to wait. We just moved from Texas so the the one where we used to live was always packed, line out the door, even on a Tuesday at 4pm lol. So this was a nice surprise to be seated right away, and there were lots of people eating in the restaurant too. Friendly staff, and the rolls are always amazing. Great Steakhouse. Absolutely the best Sirloin around! I like mine medium well, which can lend to a tough steak, but not here. Always juicy and tender, and flavorful. The sweet potato, with cinnamon, and marshmallows is a desert in itself. The service is just amazing. Except for the manager, I don't remember seeing anyone over the age of 22, and everyone was cheerful, friendly and helpful. The child ( I call her this because of the way she acted) who was taking names couldn't be bothered to take ours because she was wrapping plastic around some toothpicks to give to a server as a gift. Then she wanted to break our party of 8 up and sit us at different table. No we came to eat together. Our server must have been having a bad day. She looked like she was about to cry the entire time we were there. When we finally got our food it was cold. I know it is hard to cook a well done steak. It should not come out dry and cold. I added a little salt while it was still hot and that made it better...the lady next to me at the bar added some to her also. I told the manager they should season them a little better. Came for dinner with the wife and friends. All the hostesses and servers were very friendly. Called 45 minutes ahead and had a reservation for 6:30, wasn't seated till 6:45-6:50. Our waiter was awesome. He brought everything out as soon as possible and had our drinks always topped off and the fresh rolls coming continuously. I ordered the sangarita ( a margarita and sangria mixed) because I'm a child when it comes to drinks and like them frozen. It was very weak and I even upgraded it to 1800 tequila. We ordered the blooming cactus (blooming onion) for an appetizer and fried pickles. The blooming onion was pretty good but the pickles were just average. For meals we ordered the road kill, a 6 oz steak, bbq sandwich, and prime rib. I ordered my road kill chop steak medium rare and the wife ordered her steak medium. The road kill came out medium at best, and the wife's steak was well done. (So in other words worthless in my opinion! If it's not bleeding it's not done right! Haha) The prime rib was cooked right according to our friend. And the bbq sandwich was decent. For a chain restaurant it's "decent to average" but as a steakhouse, they should KNOW how to cook proper medium and medium rare.. That's supposed to be your specialty.. Right? Just meh.. read more
