Were greeted and seated quickly. The waitress was really on top of everything and pleasant. We had the pork sampler that was excellent, along with bbq beans, and broccoli and garlic toast. The broccoli was just right- NOT overcooked and mushy. The amount of meat was generous and not small portions like so many places are doing these days. Sonny's consistently fails at delivery. They know their 3rd party delivery is a failure yet they don't care enough about the customer to correct the problem. We will NEVER order delivery from this location again. Spending over $100 for a family of 4 and tipping the delivery driver 20%+ only to get a partial order. We are always disappointed to only receive a partial order. When calling the restaurant, they blame the delivery service and say 'they' always mess up!! Why use them then? I love Sonny's , it is my favorite BBQ. However, this was our first visit to this location because we were on this side of town and I was disappointed. We arrived at 11am and were seated promptly. Our server took our order and returned with our drinks without hesitation. Let me state they seemed to have enough servers and they all seemed to be on top of their game. However, the downfall was the kitchen, it took 25 minutes to receive our appetizer and 41 minutes to receive our food. We were not the only table from where we were seated I could see others waiting along with servers waiting on their food for their customers. Once our food did arrive it was not of the Sonny's standard of which I am accustomed. It was not hot but warm, my bun was stale and my sweet potato could have used a little longer in the oven. This looked to be a new building and it was clean and nice parking lot. We will continue to support Sonny's but will return to our usual location at 8313 Chellie Rd. read more

Never order delivery. Always blames missing food on delivery service even though order placed through Sonny's website. No accountability. Throwing money away. Many times ordering and missing big items like full order of chicken wings, sandwich meals or extra orders of side items...even missing bbq sauce from bbq place. Done with delivery. In town visiting family and in need of an after church lunch spot. Waited about 30 mins to seat a party of 20 so not bad at all. Our server Brittany was friendly, attentive, and handled our large party with ease. She even came outside with us after our meal to take some photos for our group. We got the sampler platter, corn nuggets, smoked wings, and Turkey sandwich among other things. The bbq was delicious! And don't get me started on the sweet tea and lemonade. As a longtime customer of many different Sonny's BBQ locations, I must relate that my last few visits have been quite disappointing. The quality of food has gone down considerably while the prices have risen. Today's visit saw my table not wiped down and sticky, my sweet potato undercooked and the sweet tea anything but sweet and heavily watered down. The pork barbecue was decent (although it used to have a much better flavor) though on the bright side the corn muffin was rather tasty. Added to this they now have a new digital tablet which they have you sign in their presence, and they hover as you figure their tip. I guess this is supposed to guilt us into leaving a larger tip? As I mentioned above, I've been coming to Sonny's for many years, although after these last few unsatisfactory visits at a few different locations I must say it's high time to look for a new barbecue restaurant. Worst meal I've ever had a Sonny's . Baby back ribs apparently refrigerated then steam to re heat . Had awful smell and flavor . No smoke flavor either. Beans were pretty much tasteless as well . The smoked chicken was lacking BBQ or smoked flavor . Usually falls off bone . Not this . Was tough and chewy with no smoke color . The color was orange like and undetermined flavor . The ribs and chicken were tender and had a nice smokey taste. The chicken was good its wasn't overcooked or dry. I was glad that the table had 4 different bbq sauces, smoky, sweet, hot and regular. I like to mix all of them together to get a nice blend. They had good side dishes and the food was really worth the price. I ordered the Pit Master two meat BBQ plate with 1/4 chicken and Brisket, baked beans and onion rings. Restaurant is nice inside, very clean and great ambiance, wood walls and rustic decor. Ordered cut brisket to try their true smoked meat platter. Meat was tough, not tender at all. I get that brisket is a fatty cut of meat but this just wasn't cooked well. 3/10, Smokey flavor was ok. Corn was cooked in something different and had an odd taste, I can't describe other than different. 1/10 Baked potato was well cooked for a while and shriveled, it is only 7:10pm but potato had been done for hours and sat in aluminum foil until served. 2/10 Beer was 2 for 1, so that's good 10/10. Lastly the corn muffin was a hit, saving grace 10/10. Manager literally spit water from his mouth onto female server in the bar area! Super gross!! Well Sonny's hit it out of the park with this sandwich. Grilled hamburger with candied bacon cheese and onion straws, bbque sauce and the usual fixings. Burger was moist and right off the grill. I enjoy Sonny's. I came here this time with the mindset of fit eating. Not really omg I'm on a diet I need a salad, but hey I lift weights hard I need protein. I looked around and I settled on the Pork 3 Ways (A trifecta of favorites. Pulled Pork, Sliced Pork and Sweet & Smokey or House Dry-Rubbed Ribs). Yes, the choice was a little on the fatty side, but I wasn't in the mood for barbecue restaurant chicken. That stuff is always too dry. Especially at Sonny's. I had green beans and corn on the cob as my sides. The pulled pork was delightful. I like how not-dry it was even without a baseline sauce. The sliced pork was also awesome. So moist and flavored with that good smoke. The ribs were the best part. It wasn't fall off the bone, but it was slightly nudge off the bone. All I can ask for from a chain place. All of this I was able to eat with delight and not have to douse it all with sauce. The sides were good, too. The corn was corn. Standard. The green beans had a meaty flavor in the cooking liquid. I could taste the porky umami, and it was nice. Overall, I enjoyed my trip, as I always do. The price was right, and the server was super great for my unruly table of 10. Kudos to Katie. Come here. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Sonny's! I wasn't sure what to expect with a chain BBQ restaurant, but I was really happy with their prices and the quality of their food. They have great lunch prices, and a nice big salad bar. Service was really good, and I like that the drinks are giant so you don't have to get a million refills. We tried their sampler which came with pulled pork, sliced brisket, roasted chicken, and St. Louis style ribs. The chicken was super moist and very delicious, crispy skin too. The ribs were awesome, super tender and the right amount of seasoning. I also tried their baby back ribs and those were the winners! You could barely lift up a rib without it falling off the bone. $10 for ribs, 2 sides, and garlic bread is a steal! Their sides are great too! I loved their corn on the cob, french fries, and mac and cheese. We always fight over the garlic bread too, its buttery and delicious. The items that we weren't the biggest fans of were the sliced brisket and the pulled pork. I thought the pork was a little fatty and the brisket was kind of bland.
