I just ordered chicken salad chick for the first time. I went through the drive through. I did the two scoop plate. It was pretty pricey. I waited 5-7 mins or so for them to scoop me two half size scoops of chicken salad, a half size scoop of pasta salad and a very mushy pickle. Last time I was in town with my daughter we saw this place just after we finished eating at another nearby eatery. We wanted to try it but didn't have time. Well, I'm back with my wife this time and this was the first place we tried. The concept is great. A variety of different versions of chicken salad are offered, sweet, savory, spicy.... They also offer sides ranging from soups to pimento cheese spreads to Mac n' cheese to broccoli salad and so on. The chicken salad varieties can be served by the scoop, on tossed salad, on toast, or on a croissant. Crackers are normally available, but on our visit they were all out! (Yikes!). The chicken salad varieties we tried, one sweet, one savory, and one spicy were all good. The loaded potato soup was really good. The spicy pimento spread was tasty, as were the frosted cookies that came with each entree. The ambiance is casual with a bit of humour incorporated. I snapped a couple pics of signs posted in the mens room before we ate, and then a pic of the cookie after we ate; but I was so hungry I completely spaced snapping a pic of the food when it was delivered to our table! Chicken salad chick is a very consistent place for 'fast food'. It's always delicious and fresh and the employees are always very nice.

My wife wanted to eat here, and I was not looking forward to it. But was pleasantly surprised. I assumed the serving size would be way less than what I wanted. But it was adequate. I got the basic sandwich and a side. Was on a good sized piece of bread with a fairly large scoop of chicken salad. It was very good. My only criticism is that the "wheat bread" was clearly not whole wheat. Looked like the bread people buy when they want to claim they eat whole grains, but don't like them. The side I got was broccoli salad, and it was also very good. My wife got a garden salad with a scoop of chicken salad on top. Very nice looking greens, excellent chicken salad. The tomatoes were not the best, but everything else was great. They bring the food to your table. The servers were great. But how does it take over 10 minutes to make a sandwich and a salad? I was very sad yesterday. As a veteran I tried to go through the drive through for a free meal. The drive through associate asked me if I could come in and order because she couldn't do the free meals for the veterans in the drive through. There was not any place to park and I had my dog with me. I want to eat better and didn't want to go just anywhere. Maybe in the future plan better for this event. I sincerely hope all of the branches of Chicken Salad Chick aren't as sorry as this one. I have ordered large to-go orders several times which means I have to go inside to pick up my order. Every time my order has been wrong. I try to check before I leave and while it looks correct I might be missing smaller items like extra topping for grape salad or lemon slices for tea, etc. Twice they have omitted large grape salads and I've had to make an extra trip back to get the rest of my order. It doesn't seem to bother them as they offer no apology. I decided to try them yet again a little over a week ago and that will be my final time. I ordered 4 cookies which I was charged for and didn't get, over half of my crackers were stale and went in the trash, there was no topping for my grape salad. This is frustrating when you buy food for multiple people and don't get your complete order. I emailed their headquarters and the reply didn't address the issue - they just told me they were forwarding it on to the Pensacola store. I could have done that myself...I was hoping for more of a reply from the "people in charge". It has now been over a week and I've heard nothing from the Pensacola store and don't expect to. I did see other complaints on here about wrong orders. Seems to me they don't care enough to try to improve. She was gruff, rude and a loud smart mouth. While we were waiting for our food two other people came up to check on their food. Her reply was, "it's coming" to both. After each of them walked away she belittled them with uncalled for comments... yes, in front of other customers. After receiving my order, which was a to go order, I noticed they had put only one set of silverware in the bag, so I asked for a second set of silverware so we wouldn't have to share. Could Kelsey just have given me a set of silverware? No. Keep in mind we are talking one set of silverware... a plastic set of silverware that you use and throw away. Instead, still other customers standing around waiting for their food, Kelsey asked me, "just how many sets of silverware do you want per meal?" I replied, "just one set." Kelsey said, "well that's what you got." I replied, "I have two meals and one set of silverware." Now, Kelsey is trying to argue with me by still standing her ground and saying, "no, that's what you got." I didn't expect it to be such a problem by asking for a second set of silverware or for such a big deal to be made about it in front of the other customers. Kelsey was not talking in a normal voice; she was proud and loud, and I guess she wanted everyone to hear her as she is now reprimanding a customer. The food is always excellent and most of the staff are wonderful. Today, August 9, 2023, an employee was rude enough for me to leave a review. I am giving this a 4 for the food but a 1 for the employee's behavior. I like to sit at a table for two when I am alone as I don't think it's right for one person to take up a table for four. Today was no different. I sat by the window at a two-top. As I was eating- literally with a bite of food in my hand, someone behind me said, "Excuse me." Thinking they were putting something in the trash can and thought they bumped me, I continued to eat. Then there was another, "Excuse me." I looked over my shoulder and there stood an employee. He asked me to get up so he could empty the trash. I said, "You're asking a customer to interrupt her meal so you can empty the trash?" His response, "I said excuse me." Really?!?! What did he expect me to do? Get up and stand there while he emptied the trash? Here's an idea-- either teach your employees to wait to do that task until they don't have to inconvenience someone who just paid more then $12.00 (plus a tip) to eat OR don't have a table near the trash can. I was told they had no order for me and the person in charge told the cashier to help the next person in line. The staff are still in training and my order came out but it was for dine in, and the server walked past me, looking around the restaurant; then returned to the front and she clarified with the cashier who took my order and returned it to the kitchen for to go packaging. (I didn't realize it was my order until I saw her talking to the cashier). I wasn't in a rush and just waited until it came out again. The food was well placed and looked attractive in the to go box. The flavor of the chicken salad was good. A pickle slice and a mini buttercream frosted cookie was also included. I enjoyed the flavor of the Sassy Scotty chicken salad. I almost always get the Lauryn's Lemon Basil but I'm also a fan of the Barbie-Q and Jalapeño Holly. I get the Classic Salad with the poppyseed dressing and one scoop or chicken salad on top. It's filling and the salad isn't anything fancy but it's good quality greens, whole cherry tomatoes and cucumber. The dressing is sweet and balanced the chicken salad well. The artichoke soup is also very good, and definitely don't overlook the grape salad. I wouldn't ordinarily order anything like that but did on accident once. The grapes are in a sweet but tangy sauce and the crunchy pecan topping is so good. It's refreshing in the summer. read more

Wow! What an excellent experience I had with the catering service from CSC. It all started with the great customer service and explanation of the different options that were available. It continued when I arrived and picked up my order. The items that I received were individually packed and separated. Presentation is so important, it was obvious that care and attention to detail went into preparing my order. It concluded with the joy and amazement of my guest when they experience CSC food for the first time. In hindsight I believe all I heard was: what do you want, is that all, that will be X$, here. I do understand everyone has a bad day; however, my order wasn't right either (meaning there was more than one miss). I had noticed the difference in customer service the prior time I went but gave it a pass. Today it wasn't just customer service but quality. I also was a little surprised to see the only steps they have taken regarding COVID were for actions the customer was to take. Then the add ins like pecans or walnuts then apples or/& jalapeño/chiles - you get the idea. But this was none of that.... at all, like none. It was flavorless, the chicken has been churned so much it's mush really dry mush like a thick paste. There was one grape, how do I know cause it was WHOLE, not chopped in half or quartered like it should be. There was like 3 pecans and they were really small. There was no flavor of salt, pepper or seasoning at all. There was no cream, no taste of mayo, the bread had none (again, see pics) and there was only enough in the chicken salad to act as a binder - none to add a cream texture. I heard amazing things about this place, so I gave it a try. I'm someone who enjoys "crunchies" when I eat...this place does not have the "crunchies". Even with the lettuce, was disappointing. The flavor of the lemon basil, buffalo, and jalapeno are nice, but some celery or onions would make it 1000x better. Also, the croissants were cold and hard.
