I am stunned this wonderful restaurant has not been rated yet! This is truly a hidden gem in Monument. The atmosphere is fun (although loud!) and the staff is friendly, helpful, attentive and fun. But what really shines at the roadhouse is the food. The steak is as good as it can get- by far the best steak I have ever tasted! My husband and I have been to numerous 4 and 5 star steak houses and restaurants but we both agree that nothing even COMPARES to Texas Roadhouse in Monument. Besides the steak, the mashed potatoes are wonderful, and they make one of the best margaritas in the area. Very disappointing. When you specialize in steak, you should cook it correctly. To start off with, the rolls were as hard as a brick. Our medium fillet was raw. Our medium tenderloin was well done. The brown sugar that goes with the sweet potatoes was old. We were one of five families in the restaurant, and the waiter told us, "since it's not that busy, they probably aren't paying that much attention in the kitchen." OK - so the food is always good - very consistent with the Texas Road House quality. Our server (we try to always request him) Austin, is fantastic. However, all of our servers have been energetic and very in tune with our table. IN ADDITION TO THE FOOD - Texas Road House is a TERRIFIC supporter of our public schools here in D 38. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly. Too noisy to carry on a conversation ....poor acoustics in all Texas Roadhouses.

It's a fun filled place. If you're into cheesy happy birthdays; I'd suggest to go there. They make you saddle up on a fake horse. It's funny and kids seem to love it. You get this giant bucket of peanuts and you're encouraged to throw the shells on the floor. It's great! The rolls with cinnamon butter are absolutely amazing. I'd recommend the blooming onion appetizer a steak (country fried or not) and a 24oz of goodness. Not an environment to meet for the first time for business, but defiently a place to meet after business. read more

OK food, but nothing too special... For a cheaper experience, you should just go to Chilli's which is in the same shopping center (Practically next door, kind of), or take a drive across town to T.G.I. Friday's, because the food is fairly pricey for what you get... At a similar price point to Texas Roadhouse, but WAY BETTER food, is Texas T-Bone on N. Academy across the street to the Target shopping center. At Texas T-Bone the portions are really good sized, and the food is WAY Better! Avoid this place if you want to spend your money wisely. read more

The service in incredible. Of all the Texas Roadhouse locations I've been to, the staff here has been incredibly friendly right off the bat. Our hostess took her time to let us pick our cuts of steak, which we've never been able to do at any other location. After finding out that this was our first time at this location, a manager greeted us at our table and brought us a sample of the sides they offer. Our server is great and gave us all the different choices for sides and add ons to our orders. I will definitely be coming back to this location. read more

Great service! Perfectly cooked steaks. Abigail, the manager, came by to check on us and was very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. Great service! The steaks were done perfectly - nice medium rare for my ribeye and s perfect rare for my son. Excellent! Only downsides - the ribs were somewhat dry, even with extra sauce, and the Caesar salad dressing could use more flavor. But the excellent service, even with a packed house, made it totally worthwhile. read more

We're here last Friday, with my two sisters, my folks and I. We ordered two appetizers & one of them was rabbit bites(have no idea what they are with their dippy sauce, simply delish.) Everybody order their meals, but I ordered the 10 ounce prime rib dinner with Caesar salad and mix veggies. And I really didn't care how long it took me; I was so enjoy it, is so moist and juicy( no pun) I had to enjoy it right then & there. I was the only person at the table whom finish my meal, a great prime rib. The only sad part is; I didn't take pictures during the meal. So you got to get going in and try it yourself but be warned they run out fast on the prime rib. read more

Never a bad dinner when I travel. Each Texas Road House has its personalities and charm. I usually sit at the bar and eat. Every filet I've ordered had been delicious with sides being good too. Service has always been great. For the price it's a place to eat without all the extra BS. You pay for way you get and what you get is a steak and sides. read more

We went there for my mom's birthday last week on a Sunday afternoon and the staff acted like they had never served a party of 8 before. The chili had crunchy mystery meat in it and the staff was unapologetic. read more

If I could give this place ten stars I would. The people who work here are always beyond friendly, including the hosts, wait staff, bussers and all the management. But that's just the cherry on top of the pie.. The food here is ALWAYS delicious, I've been numerous times and never had a problem and I've tried pretty much everything. An entire family of 7 plus two additional Friends went at 6pm to have a great meal and was totally disappointed with both the service and the food at this place. I ordered a 16oz. prime rib Medium Rare and it came as Well Done with no juices in the meat whatsoever. Both the manager and the waiter apologized, but they coouldn't provide a medium-rare prime rib. Sad, very sad to say the least. I won't return there again and neither will I take my friends or Family there again. I'll stick to my 8th street COS roadhouse and hope this does not re-occur there with their prime rib. As for service, we got no refills for all our drinks... and the waiter had to be flagged down to get his attention...I believe his name was Lee. Sad... very very sad for this place. read more

Always good service and seems to be the only steak place in the Springs Area that can consistently cook a steak the way I like and they always have prime cut beef. I've had every cut on the menu and some that aren't. All great. LOVE this place. read more

Went here the other night while on vacation visiting my sister! This place was awesome! Everything we had was delicious. Tonight we went to TR tonight for early dinning special ... Before 6p.m. .. Ordered the 6oz steak for dinner for 8.99... Received bill and did not receive the early dinning special but rather full prices for a 6 oz dinner and an eight oz dinner... When bringing this up to waitress we were told there was nothing she could do because she conveniently heard 8 oz and that if it was the wrong size I should have said something when we were served.... Like we should know the looks difference between 6 and 8 oz steaks....!!!! Especially when we ordered and pointed to the menu to that which we wanted!... Our fault she made mistake... I was steamed... Manager wouldn't even come around once there was this problem and we did ask for her....one star is too much... I wish they had negative stars. read more

Great steakhouse. Nice place to go with the family every once and a while. Always pretty busy at dinner time, and they're pretty organized with dealing with waiting customers. Fantastic bread and butter appetizers. Typical onion blossom type stuff. Good steak, not too expensive. read more

I wanted to hate this place (you know the Texas roadhouse theme stuff) and there are better higher end steak places BUT when I'm on the road traveling - I know I can get a GOOD steak (i can even pick it out myself), have it done right (seared/blue rare) & have edible side dishes (as long as you order them right) & their ribs & shrimp make nice options too. They are open late & are on most of the major interstates/easy access. Great option for Paleo, low carb folks on the road. read more

DIRTY! The restaurant needs a deep cleaning...and the manager needs to be replaced! My husband and I went and ordered dinner when we noticed the window blinds and window sill were so dirty it was disgusting. We spoke to the manager who promptly indicated he would have his cleaning company get "on that" as soon as he could connect with them! He babbled on about how he contracts with an outside company to clean the restaurant and how he doesn't notice it's not clean because it's so familiar to him! WHAT?! Last night Texas Roadhouse brought food to our hotel which was offering shelter to people that were stranded by a blizzard. They didn't ask for any money - they dropped off rolls, potatoes and ribs for people that had no food - it was an awesome gesture of kindness!! read more

I would give 0 stars if that was possible. We have been going to this location since they opened. This was our 3 strikes your out trip. We went for my husbands birthday because he has a free app coupon. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 beers which came very quickly and by a very friendly bartender. She then took our order and this is where it starts to go south. We order the free app (loaded French fries) and 1 dinner. The salad comes before the app and the app comes with the dinner. Apparently they don't know how apps work. We asked for the manager and we're given the eye roll by the waiter. My husband at this point goes gets pretty angry and tells the waiter get the GD manager. The waiter then walks off with the food. . The manager finally comes over after about 5- 10 minutes and we get chastised for cursing at the waiter. We ask why the app came with the food, she doesn't know but will take the food off the bill. We were confused since we didn't get any food. She seems confused by that and goes to find out why he took the food. After about 10 more minutes and the whole bar area looking at us we decided to leave without the manager ever coming back. Came here with my 4 kids age ranges from 4-16 because we were given a gift card for Christmas. We decided to try a Monday night dinner to take advantage of kids night. I was expecting a fun night for the kids given that it was "kids night" But no. Far from it, as there wasn't much going on. In order to get the $1.99 kids meal, an adult entree must be ordered per $1.99 meal (understandable, I have a 4 and 9 year old who would use this). They have 11 great dinners for early birds from 4-6 for $9.99 which I decided get, but my waitress said you cannot use this deal for the $1.99 promotion- ok, so I have my 16 and 14yr olds order from the regular menu to go along with two $1.99 kids dinners and I got one of the the $9.99 dinners-or so I thought. Our waitress Tracy was terrible- forgot to give us bread, didn't fill our drinks (we had to get up and ask) and forgot to mention that at the end of our meal, the kids get free ice cream because apparently there was an ice cream bar. We get boxes, get the check and I notice my meal came to $11.99 not $9.99. When I let Tracy know, she said I couldn't get that dinner because I was getting the $1.99 kids meals and I guess you can't combine promotions (would have been nice to know in advance as I was pointing out the $9.99 dinner to her as I ordered ) My daughter ended up finding an ice cream bar at the entrance (that I guess was happening for kids night- I thought, okay how fun- now that makes for a good kids night) she was so excited and begged to get ice cream. As I headed over and take her, I notice there's no ice cream only toppings. I asked for the ice cream and I was told we were supposed to order our ice cream with our waitress (who again, failed to mention this to us.) I mentioned this to the hostess who then went and got us two to-go ice-cream bowls which was nice, but my two others were not allowed to participate because they didn't get a kids meal. Doesn't matter that they ordered an ENTIRE adult meal. I was pretty livid at this point. Food portion was decent, food was fine I ordered 6oz steak dinner (nothing that would bring me back, considering service) bread rolls with butter were probably the best when we finally got some but again, nothing that would bring me back. We had an unpleasant experience and I didn't think the whole $1.99 kids meal with all its restrictions was all that great. read more

The smell that permeated this restaurant on May 23 2011 was terrible, it smelled of port-a-johns at a fair. We were the 3rd or 4th table for lunch and it took about an hour to get our food, which was good, but because of the smell and how slow it was I wont be back. read more

I took the family to Texas Roadhouse for lunch on a Sunday and we came away wildly disappointed. I ordered the bacon cheese burger and it came with almost 1 pcs of bacon! I thought this was a mistake and asked our very helpful server and she said it must be a mistake. Eventually the manager brought me two 'extra' pcs of bacon and when I mentioned how it had one very small piece on it she said clearly irritated that I said anything "Well that is how we do it". She continued on, acting as if bringing me two extra slices of bacon put her in the same category as Santa Clause and the Easter bunny. Her poor atitude made an already mediocre hamburger into a one star disappointment. My wife had the chicken fried steak and it was pounded so flat and so over cooked that she described it to me as battered beef jerky. They made a new one and when it eventually came out (after the rest of us where done eating), it was better but extremely salty and not worth the money, time or hassle. Ultimately I do not recommend this place. Perhaps if you keep your expectations low you won't be disappointed, but this is not fine dining (or even good dining) as you might assume by such a high rating. Food wise I'd give this place a three star, but after dealing with the manager, I give it one. If you can't prepare decent food, at least have a good atitude. We will not be going back any time soon. read more
