First time at this restaurant, the staff was very nice , sat down and ordered a appetizer and unfortunately had a eight legged spider in our food call a manager over and asked me where it came from? Ordered our food and got the wrong order? Again lots of apologies. The company took 7.99 off our bill ? Felt bad for our waitress it was not her fault and still left her a 20% tip. Felt like the manager could have done better. Will probably not go back.

Loaded mashed potatoes are very good no lids for cups tho very good meadium steak

I spoke with a very friendly young lady who made changes to the reservation for us over the phone. We entered into the restaurant from inside the hotel area of the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. The hotel is beautiful and the ambiance at Ruths is a comfortable fine dining. Surprisenly they wern't busy for a Friday evening. Our waiter, Michael, came over shortly after we were seated and brought us a bottle of the 14 Hands cabernet for around $60. We wern't starving so decided to share the wedge salad, had a 8oz petite filet each, and a side of asparagus. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious, however, my steak was very undercooked and had to be sent back on the grill. I asked for medium rare to more on the rare side since I really don't like overcooked steak. It came back out very quickly and was still slightly undercooked but was still very good. The service was excellent, food was very good although very pricey, and the staff were all friendly and professional. I would definitely go back.

I was dressed very well with a dress, cowboy boots and wore a very expensive cowboy hat as part of my outfit. When the hostess seated us, she told me I needed to take my hat off in the dining room. I questioned her and said I wore the the same hat at the same Ruth Chris a few months ago and nothing was said. She said "then they must not have been doing their job". I was upset and offended. The dining room was full of people wearing jean shorts, t shirts, tennis shoes and ball caps but she chose to tell me to take off my hat that was part of my outfit. For one thing, women do not have to take off their hat during the national anthem and my hat and outfit was very upscale compared to others in the restaurant. They obviously do not adhere to their own policy and need to make exceptions where appropriate.

Overpriced and underwhelming…read more In any other city, this place would have its lunch eaten by better operations / food. ~$125 per person (before tip) for 2 steaks (ribeyes), 3 sides, and 2 Diet Cokes is a bit much considering the quality of food. Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.

We arrived at 4:55pm for a 5pm reservation and had to wait outside in the cold / rain for 5 minutes with several other guests. It would've been a nice gesture to open the door 5 minutes early let us all take a seat in the foyer. Our waiter was a gem.. really friendly, knowledgeable, and made our experience better. The cocktails and refills took QUITE a long time, but once they did arrive we really loved the French75 & the espresso martinis. All appetizers were good: the truffle fries, oysters, and escargot. The biggest bummer of the night was that all three of us ordered filets and all 3 of them were cooked incorrectly. (I've attached a photo of my "medium" steak with bleu cheese crumbles.) We mentioned this to the waiter but nothing was done about it. I ended up scraping the bleu cheese off and trading steaks with my husband to get closer to the temperatures we ordered. They did taste good, and we enjoyed the spinach and au gratin potatoes as well. Overall, I'd choose Ruth's Chris over Bowdies any day. Ruth's steaks are always perfect, their fresh bread is delicious, and they have more options on their menu for the same pricing as Bowdies.
