Let me start by saying Kimmy our server was awesome! They ran out of rolls (our favorite rolls anywhere) so she gave us an appetizer for free. Then they had a mixup in the kitchen, so the kitchen manager came out personally and apologized for the mixup! I don't know how many times I have gone to other restaurants only to be severely disappointed with the service. Despite all the mixups, I will come back to Texas Roadhouse again and again because of the spectacular service by Kimmy and the management there! We love the fresh hot rolls served when you sit down. The place is a little noisy for us but worth it for the delicious food. We love the deep fried pickles for an appetizer. Steaks are cooked just as we ordered. The salad is cold, crisp and fresh. We love eating here but we try to go when it's not so busy. read more

Very glad we tried it! Did the call ahead seating so had no wait on a Friday night. Big menu with lots of options in steak, prime rib, chicken, salads. The value is incredible. This place looked better than it was. I've had fast food hamburgers with better flavor than the meat I got here. Admittedly, I got an item called "roadkill" because it was a cheaper option (it was $9), but you know, why put something on your menu if it isn't good? My wife got the shrimp kabab, which was decent (she shared with me), but it came on a bed of rice that literally tasted like it had been soaked in butter. I'm dead serious. It was gross! We were also given what we're pretty sure were canned veggies heated in a microwave, which were terrible. And like other reviewers have mentioned, there did seem to be a lot of birthdays. read more

If it weren't for the ridiculous wait, I would give this place five stars. Both times I've gone (because you can't make a reservation, and their rules with call-ahead seating are complex), I've ended up waiting in an extremely crowded waiting room for more than an hour. While that's a testament to it's popularity, I feel like the owners almost encourage it, as reservations would eliminate the problem. Still, the fact that I'm giving it 4 stars shows that once you are seated, the experience is completely different. The service is great, the steaks are amazing and cooked perfectly to order, and the side dishes compliment the meal perfectly. If you want a really good steak, I would recommend going early for dinner, before the rush starts (5:00 would probably do it). They have great food for a chain and the atmosphere is awesome. I've always had really amazing waiters - but the hostesses are generally cold and a bit frantic (I get it, it's always crowded and noisy) but luckily you only have to deal with them for a minute or two. People come here for the bread, too - which is good, if you eat bread. Their desserts aren't anything to write home about, but you're not here for dessert, right? Definitely call ahead before you go with a group - especially on weekends - but heads up, they don't seat you til everyone is there (common policy, I think). read more

I don't understand the hype. I've been here a couple times because someone else paid. Their rolls and honey butter are pretty good but will decrease your life expectancy. Everything else I've had is just so-so. It takes them 'forever' to take your order and serve your food. Don't go with kids or waste your money on steak. The rib-eye was small, thin, cold, and overcooked. The ambiance is dark, loud, and crowded...and of course there are peanut shells everywhere. When we go for take-out, they got my order wrong, over-charged me, made me wait in the restaurant 20 minutes after the food was supposed to be ready, and then I had to drive back after they left things out of my order. Got the steak kabab. Though it was a little overdone it was delicious as always. The atmosphere is a little noisy and rowdy but this makes it easy to have conversation with your party. Our food was good but service was terrible. They made several mistakes in the kitchen which they rectify. One of our sides never came out and we were going to have them take it off our bill but last minute the 4 year old wanted it so we had to wait for her to eat it. Went for lunch on a Sunday when many places were closed. The service was excellent and the food came out just as we ordered. The kid's steak was actually really good, which is important to me since I end up finishing their food. The steaks we have ordered came cooked pretty well. The service was prompt and friendly. However their side dish option were lacking in flavor and freshness. Heaven forbid you order the corn. I love Texas Roadhouse! I come here at least once a week. My favorite thing about coming here(besides the rolls!) is the quality of the food and the Service I get every time. The wait is nice and reasonable for how busy they tend to get, especially on weekends. The location is always clean and the service is great! I love some of the Waiters here. Came in for my birthday and had an amazing experience! The host were super cute and friendly and so was our server. Both super cute blonde girls. Waiter was extremely nice and efficient. Food was to die for. I had the filet salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had. I honestly can't think of one thing I would of liked better. 5 out of 5 stars.
