Went in on a Friday night around 5:45 and it was packed. We only waited 5 minutes for our table. My husband opted to choose his steak from the cooler presentation. We had great service from the lady who brought us to our table to the waiter. Our waiter was very good. The atmosphere was quite busy, but it still felt intimate enough to have a quiet dinner with my husband. We had a coupon for a free appetizer and we chose the Fried Pickles. They were very hot and fresh. Before that we enjoyed the peanuts and hot, fresh, and delicious bread with cinnamon butter. I ordered the Grilled BBQ Chicken with a house salad & green beans. I would truly love to show you a picture of us having dinner at this restaurant. However, it seems that anytime you go, 12, 3, 6, 9.... it's an hour to hour and a half wait. Each time there are five hostesses standing up front, and two servers in the half empty restaurant. I don't understand what is going on with this place. We tried to call just last week. Phone rang for 5 minutes before someone picked up, only to transfer us to someone else. That person said it was "as usual" an hour to hour and a half wait. First off I wanna say that our waitress was outstanding she provided great customer service and she did a good job of making sure that we were satisfied with everything a friend of mine recommended this place to me and I'm always up for trying new places. I was a little disappointed with the food I ended up getting the 8 oz steak with shrimp and even though the steak was cooked perfectly it didn't have much flavor to it. We went to celebrate my moms birthday tonight. I ordered the Ft. Worth Ribeye medium-well. Needless to say when I cut it open it was well done, and I was kinda disappointed. Normally when I go I don't have a problem with the way they cook my steaks but tonight it was different. Then loaded mashed potatoes were pretty good. I ordered my daughter the kids grilled chicken meal with green beans. The portion size was good for the price and she seemed to enjoy the chicken but not the green beans so much. The service is what really is lacking here, had a manager say let me know if you need anything then never saw him again. Server took about 10 min to get to table and didn't bring rolls until the 3rd time asking. Overall cleanliness is a 3/10, menus are not clean and silverware isn't fully clean, tables not wiped down. Our server was awesome! She was on top of things! I ordered a filet and fries. They were both great! My husband ordered beef tips which he said was not the greatest. He did mention that beef tips are a hard meat to purchase cause you never know what your going to get. Green bean were flavorful! He did like the ribs. I can't tell you about the sweet the brownies eith the ice cream is something else YOU HAVE TO TRY 100%. However, the main reason I am only giving 3 stars its because of the person who's taking care of our table, she was NOT good at all. Every once in a while she shows up and it's like she is never there. It came to a point where I had to actually go to someone else and ask them to bring the check when we were ready to leave after waiting close to 16 minutes to be accurate. After my party of 4 was placed on a call ahead list, waited for 1.5 hours, and was sat at a table designated for 2, we requested a larger table. We physically could not fit at the table, and we were constantly bumped since our legs and shoulders were sticking out in a high traffic area (we were sat in the back between the bathroom and kitchen). We asked the waiter if it were possible to move since we saw 2 open tables that were larger. The waiter told her manager, who refused to actually talk to us, and we were told that we could leave our table and our food (it was another 40 minutes later before we got a response) and re-enter the bottom of the waitlist. Further, those tables were already assigned to parties of 5 & 6. However, parties of 2 were sat at those tables. Every other table in our section was a party of 2. Snickering and foul looks, along with avoidance were displayed by the manager, which is extremely unprofessional. Our waiter did her best to accommodate. We sat at Longhorns across the street for 20 mins without anyone LOOKING AT US. Finally left and went to Texas Roadhouse across the street and boy are we glad we did. We were immediately seated and greated with warm bread and butter as we sat down. Our server, Summer, came right by and was attentive and overall excellent. After hearing this place being compared with Logan's Roadhouse I was very unenthusiastic but let me tell you, after trying it.. Sure this place is comparable with a Logan's as far as food goes.. but the difference is the service and the quality of the food. At Texas Roadhouse the food wasn't burnt, wasn't dried out and the service wasn't lacking, other than getting our ticket when we had finished. The lemon-pepper salmon, which I ordered, was in fact slightly undercooked, but not to the point where I would have to send it back. It was very good and very tasty. As for the sides I had the "fresh vegetables" which can be seen in the picture and included steamed broccoli and carrots. My other side was the green beans, which were cooked along with bacon and were very delicious. As for the service, the waitress we had always made me laugh, she was pretty cool and kept insisting that we ordered an alcoholic beverage. As in one of us ordered coffee and she said a coffee with kahlua, got it.. and when I ordered water she said the well was dry and offered an alcoholic drink instead. I enjoy when someone can make me laugh without doing it only for a larger tip. She had personality. I am only knocking off a star for the slightly undercooked salmon and the long wait for our check at the end of the meal. Texas Roadhouse is a great steakhouse. You have the option to pick your own steak. I've never done it, but I've also never been served a bad steak. Tonight's visit was the first time I've ever had a steak cooked incorrectly. They also cooked the other guest's steak incorrectly, but they made it right without any hassle at all. As for sides, they have really delicious chili. I highly recommend giving it a try if you are a fan of chili. They have their version of a blooming onion, which is generally super tasty. Tonight, I tried the rattlesnake bites for the first time. They had a bit of a kick, which I enjoyed. Their rolls and cinnamon butter are legendary. They had a special tonight: an 8 oz. sirloin, 3 grilled shrimp, and 2 sides all for $10.99. That is a really epic deal, especially given the quality of the food. read more

Service always great here , manager is very nice, I had the beef tips mushrooms & gravy with rice and a salad , don't order this , 80% of it was silver skinned discards I ate all I could and the rest was in put in napkins , I believe these " beef tips " were accidental thrown in the "good pile " while trimming other steaks . It's already good (if you buy good butter ) , Texas road house doesn't, they try to serve the honey flavored butter that's awful to me , I ask for regular butter which is whipped up butter and barely qualifies , because whipping it puts air into it therefore diluting it's taste which is why people like it , BECAUSE OF THE TASTE , it's the same thing as adding water to your coffee or coke . If you have more than 3-4 people in your party, expect to wait 1.5-2 hours for a table. Even with call-ahead seating. It's just not worth it, and my family is looking for a new steakhouse to call home. We have struck out three times at Texas Roadhouse in the past year. I think it is because they cancelled their lunch-time hours during the week, so everybody who wants to eat there is forced to come at night. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service from the manager, Mandy! The hubs & I went with friends last night. Several things came out wrong, we mentioned all of them to the awesome server, but just took them anyway. (No mushrooms on one steak, no croutons on one salad, didn't take croutons off the one that was requested, mushrooms requested on side for another steak but came on top...little inconveniences that we pointed out to the server, but several & we just fixed it ourselves!) However, my hub's steak was ordered medium rare & came out well done. Without taking one bite, he sent his entire plate back. His meal wasn't returned to him until the entire group had finished their dinner. (This time the steak was better, but still not right!) When Mandy, the manager, brought it, she simply asked if it was better! He immediately asked for a to go box since everyone else was done. Without offering any compensation for their (many) mistakes, I asked Mandy if she could take the steak off our bill. She said, was it not better?? We told her it was better, but still not right & he didn't get to eat with the group. She told us, well he still gets to take it home so she wouldn't remove it from our bill!! (But she offered a discount, for something that wasn't right or was way late...and still didn't have his mushrooms!) So, my husband gave her the food back!
