I had a very disappointing experience with a To-Go employee during my visit I am almost certain her name tag said Caitlyn but she was a short curly red head. From the moment I placed my order, she had a noticeable attitude. After I finished ordering my first meal, I let her know I had one more family pack to order. Instead of responding professionally, she said, "What else do you want?" in a rude and impatient tone. Throughout the interaction, she repeatedly rolled her eyes and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her simply by placing an order. When it was time to hand me my receipt and order, she did so aggressively instead of courteously. What made the experience even worse was the way she treated her coworkers. She was disrespectful and rude to them as well, creating an uncomfortable environment for both customers and staff. I understand everyone has difficult days, but customers deserve to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. Never have I had a filet cut thin like a sirloin but they said it is - compared to my husband whose filet looked like a thick, nice cut ‍ My husband is convinced it's not- and his was done perfectly and tasted like it was a filet while mine was chewier and tougher. Texas Roadhouse is the best restaurant in Statesboro. Since retiring, my wife and I have made dining out a regular part of our week. We've tried many of the restaurants in, and around Statesboro but none comes close to Texas Roadhouse for quality of food, service, and ambiance. The food is absolutely delicious. My favorite is the Prime Rib. It's always cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and delicious. So is the Chicken Alfredo. My wife's favorite is the filet. Same story, cooked perfectly, and delicious every time. We generally sit at the bar. The service is quick, and friendly. The staff are all open, and genuinely make you feel good about being there. The ambiance is warm, and cheerful. We always leave in a good mood, which isn't the case for many restaurants in Statesboro. 4th of July Saturday at like 12:15. We walked right in and were seated promptly. Our server, Noel, was very friendly and had an excellent personality. She told us all about the new dirty sodas (we got vanilla cherry cokes) and upsold that!! (from retail business owner) she did great on the up-sale. The rolls were great as always, salad was good, cold and crisp. Our main course was just as we requested. Good and fresh! Steak was cooked to perfection. Noel was very attentive and friendly. If you don't mind yelling over the music and letting everyone hear your conversation except your intended listener, go here! I think the servers are excellent at lip reading. Service: not a great hostess but I'm confident that'll improve with experience. For one, she could've stated that with only two of us, the bar is first come, first serve. 09/24 It started off shakey, and it was apparent they had recently opened. I asked, and they said 2 weeks. They are still working out the kinks in the front of the house. Taylor, our waitress totally moved what would have been a 2.5 star to a 4 star. She had her misses and forgot a few things, but it was her overall demeanor that won it for me. It's my birthday, and I hadn't had the best day. So I decided to come eat my heart out on those fresh baked delicious rolls hoping it would pivot to a brighter ending of my day. Ive only ever been here 3x now, I rolled on in a little late at night, towards closing, and as a server myself I felt really bad. But everyone there was so welcoming. So friendly, especially my server Nancy. Aka Nancy drew. She was by far the best server I've had at any restaurant I've ever been to. She was so friendly, upbeat, kind, super attentive. She was Very caring about how my food came out. And even cracked a few jokes. I walked in on the verge of tears. And left with a full belly and a warm feeling in my heart. We showed up and after being sat by a window, looked at the menu and then ordered our meals: my lady got the 6 ounce sirloin steak and baked potato. with several other add-ons; I ordered an 11 ounce sirloin steak with baked potato with extra sour cream and whipped butter/margarine. Martha ordered her steak medium, and I (Roger) ordered my steak medium rare. After some 15 or more minutes with nothing but rolls to eat, our steaks arrived. Looking at them, I told the waitress to wait as i first cut my steak, on the end and then in the middle; and then cut my lady's steak. I asked the waitress, as i held up the cuts from both steaks if she would consider these pieces of meat cooked medium and medium rare. Without blinking she looked at me and answered honestly, no, and then ventured that both were cooked a solid medium well done. About myself: I worked as a professional chef for over 20 years, running as executive chef, or leading the line as sous-chef, at some of (at that time) the best resorts and restaurants in America. I know meats, I know cooking methods, and i know what a customer at one of my restaurants would expect to finfd at my restaurants. At this restaurant, the response to taking a pleasant time with my lady, with both of us being hungry, expecting to eat and then go home after a very long time in town taking care business and shopping and then going home to fall asleep in our recliners. Oh. As no manager had made his or her over to our table to offer at least some platitudes over this dining disaster: being that both of our main courses of our meal had been turned into shoe-leather, I asked to speak to the manager. She listened as i expressed my frustration at being served something so unlike what your menu promised. She then turned around and went to to the kitchen to check on our new steaks. That did NOT happen. Instead we waited, starving, being offered nothing to make our wait less unpleasant. When our food arrived, the front end manager simply stated she hoped we enjoyed our meals. At this time, as one restaurant professional to another, I asked her what she felt she should do. I never put words in other peoples mouths. She stated if the meal had arrived ruined for the second time she probably would "comp" them. Somewhat surprised, i aksed her if she didnt think that should be done after the first negative experience. She said no. I then explained this was not what my 25 years inb the restaurant business had taught me. She made some comment which meant that they had plenty of customers and that she wasnt worried that bad experiences like ours might cause the restaurant a problem. Instead of arguing with her, we put our meals in to-go containers and paid for our full mean and returned home. I am blown away by the service of this Texas Roadhouse. I was looking for a place in Southern GA that serves a lunch prime rib, nobody does it aside from them that I could find! Prime rib is a tradition for me and my husband's wedding anniversary. My husband is deployed and would be missing our anniversary 2 years in a row. I called this restaurant to see if they would be willing to reserve a quiet spot for me and my husband while we have a meal together on video call. He would be having dinner while I was having lunch. Tara, the marketing manager, was happy to help. I come in for my reservation, and I am brought to tears. They gave me an entire room with a white table cloth, a rose, and a candle with two plates, two wine glasses, and two sets of utensils. It was magical, just like he was there with me. The dinner was incredible. A decadent prime rib with a peppery seasoning, au jus, creamy horseradish, mac and cheese, bacon green beans, and a marshmallow loaded sweet potato for dessert. It was all so perfect, I could not have had a better day with/without my husband. Thank you to Tara and Maurice, and my lovely waitress for making me feel special during a very lonely year. My husband and I are fairly new to Georgia and love the wonderful hospitality down south. I had been out of town for two weeks and my husband picked me up from the airport. It was our 29th wedding anniversary and we decided on Texas Roadhouse. Since their opening we've been there a few times and the food is always good. Our server Jaeden was professional, gracious and prompt. He made us feel extremely welcome with his beautiful smile and kindness. He took our drink order immediately and continued to check with us before we placed our dinner order. This location is always extremely busy (which just shows how good the food and service is!)This restaurant is doing everything right. Not at any time did any of the staff appear rushed or frustrated. Jaeden was excellent and engaging from the drink orders through the entire meal. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the side dishes were prepared with just as much care and the portions were very good. Our dinners were delivered by the manager himself, Maurice, and he was so friendly and engaging! He noticed a picture frame on our table that I had given my husband as an anniversary present and questioned us about it. We told him it was our anniversary and he reacted so warmly, he's a genuine epitome of customer service at its best and it shows through him and his entire staff. Maurice really stands out as a team leader. We just loved him! We couldn't have asked for a more special evening. The food was great, and the service will keep us coming back! I have been a fan of the roadhouse for a few years. I first stumbled upon one in Waco, Texas and I was kind of delighted to find a steakhouse That served good quality steak for a reasonable price. The side dishes are also both generous and flavorful and I definitely came away with the next days breakfast and more. years later I started noticing a few popping up in Southern California so I would go early, wait in line and always consider that I got a very good value for the price. I first learned about great meat early in life. once a year my father would ordera half a steer shipped from the Chicago stockyards. He used to own a hotel in Toronto, so he knew the good suppliers. I may get an argument, but I maintain that the meat quality was better in those days. It's not too often that I will eat steak now that you could almost cut with a fork it used to be that tender. I'm certainly not saying that the roadhouse is anywhere near that quality but at least you'll get a decent steak pretty consistently so when I saw a restaurant was opening in Statesboro where I currently reside, I couldn't wait for the day it opened. For the first chance I had it was very crowded as usual. If you were taking someone for a romantic date, this would not be the place, but if you want a good time and a very decent meal, I would recommend it. they bring the food to you very promptly And they seem to have plenty of staff to really cater to big parties and short wait times. Next, I tried the take out. I ordered the hamburger and I found it. It wasn't the best that I've had. In fact, it was very mediocre. The meat wasn't tender, and the bun was soggy, and therr was gristle in the meat. When I came back for a third visit. I ordered the ribeye and I was surprised that it was again maesakI still love this place for the ambulance in excitement of being with people that are in a great mood and are you able to bring the children to experience the excitement and good food. I will keep coming here and consider the past two experiences that maybe some growing pains with the statistical nature of ordering thousands of cuts of meat. I hope the restaurant can stick with the formula that has made them great over many years and opening many new restaurants. The final analysis it usually comes down to a few important words in describing a good or great Steakhouses and that is service, quality and value. Made reservations tonight for a party of 14 with two of the party members being young adults celebrating their birthday. I arrived as my party was waiting and was told we could not be seated until everyone in our party was here (3 people has not arrived yet). When the fully party arrived we were told they were pushing tables together but were then seated at 3 very large booths. luckily we just were hungry so we sat down accordingly. The manager and a waitress was disrespectful to three people, questioning why we had people "coming in and out" when in reality it the party of 14 trying to accommodate in to the booths. Those three people in our party ended up leaving due to the treatment by the staff before they could even order their drinks. Later we were then question why there was 4 people in one booth (due to 3 leaving) and not 6, the manager exclusively said that these were meant for 6 people not for. Luckily we understood her however maybe she missed that we had 14 people, not 18! The (said) manager continued to bundle in three different areas of the restaurant with other employees talking with angry expressions and giving at our tables each time. This led to other staff members starinf as well. I will say, my server Brek remained calm and collected during this situation (he's the only reason I'm even giving a star and no this did not affect his tip whatsoever) and he even managed to joke around and make us laugh. I could understand frustration if the restaurant was slam packed but it was not. It was 2 hours prior to closing and we had reservations. People have bad day, I understand. We were kind and just wanted to be seated and served as any normal person does when they go to a restaurant.
