On Mothers day my family had a five oclock reservation , we finally got seated around 6, we were a table of seven people, We were seated in a very awkward area where everyone needed to pass us by to either deliver food or clear tables etc, the one thing I was most upset about was if you have a table of seven why would you only place a kitchen order for 6, After all the people were served the waiter was confused as to where my order was, it turned out he never placed it in the kitchen,, Now after the table was cleared from the others I had to ask for it several times and had to get the manager involved. Just prior to us leaving my food finally came, This however dampened my Mothers day at your restaurant. Even after was told my meal was compt I would have enjoyed not eating alone. Our server was not friendly or engaging, and seemed annoyed to be serving our party of 10 and 2 children. The food was not cooked as ordered, and needed more seasoning. Really was craving a steak and did not want to cook. So my daughter and I headed to Texas!!! For a chain it is what it is. We walked in and the hostess and host were goofing around, chit chatting about life. The female felt her story was more important than greeting us, the guy on the other hand grabbed menus and just walked away. So good on him, a lesson for her I guess. Let me start with the potatoes that were not mashed. It may had looked mashed but had huge potato chunks the size of a potato. The steak cook to choice but seasoning was overbearing, so much fat, very chewy. I did not like it at all. The shrimp was good. Seasoned well and cooked. The atmosphere was decent. You could have conversations without issues. The waitress was good for being new. The manager came over and checked in. This made me laugh because it was a check in. Let me say that the thick juicy pork chop was thin and dry, the chili just tasted weird but not like chili. Wouldn't mind the pork chop being thinner but over cooked and dry doesn't work. I love love love this place. Their bread is so soft and fluffy, their butter is so cinnamon-y... it's to die for. I have no self control and end up eating so much bread I don't have space for the delicious entree!!!! Please come here with self control, my best advice. I always order the largest steak medium rare. Amazing. Good steak is when you don't have to use steak sauce to force yourself to down it. This place has good steak and flavoring. It's juicy and just the right amount of seasoning that it's not overbearing or anything. Their blooming onion is good, standard throughout the food industry. It wasn't amazing, it's enjoyable. But I couldn't eat anymore because the bread was too much. The kids meal was a good portion for my two year old. We got the grilled chicken. So I would normally not even leave a rating for a large chain like this but we ate here and had noticed a few things worth mentioning so here we go. Normally on a trip here I would get a ribeye but it was lunchtime so I decided to go with a burger. Four people at our table got burgers. Mine was to be medium rare, two medium, and a medium well. Mine was the closest to temp but was still a bit under, while all of the other 3 came out rare. I would normally overlook this but being a steakhouse and focusing on temps all day everyday, this is something you'd assume wouldn't happen here. The server left the few people with chicken tenders meals and the other with a ribs meal (as well as mine) their food while the other burgers were re-cooked. We now have 4 people eating from our party and 3 people not eating. If something like this were to happen again (which it shouldn't at a steakhouse) I would suggest leaving the other diners their sides at least so it wasn't such a major separation of people eating to people waiting for food. The burger itself was honestly pretty good for what it's worth, just a frustrating experience as a whole. read more

First time in a Texas Roadhouse - good food at reasonable prices. We went on a Saturday evening when it was very busy and it was a bit chaotic up by the host stand. The online waitlist system does seem to work pretty well though. For our entrees, we had the Prime Rib (impressive!), 1/2 Slab Ribs (not bad) and the Pulled Pork Dinner (just a little dry). My party of three arrived at this location at 8pm on a Sunday. We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant away from other diners. The section they placed us in had unmopped spills, garbage all over the floor, tables that needed to be bussed, and a presence of flies. It took about ten minutes for our server to arrive, but it seemed like no one told her she had a table. Our server was polite, but seemed distracted or absentminded. After dropping off our appetizer, she disappeared and we were served by three or four other servers. There was more than one issue with our meal. The wrong drink was served to our table, plain shrimp came with a sauce, and a medium fillet arrived well done. The service was very quick to fix everything for us, but by the time the replacement steak arrived my party was finished eating. The food was good. The cactus blossom had a pleasant flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted fresh, homemade, and reminded me of my mother's. The medium fillet was well seasoned and VERY juicy. I would not say that the meal itself was bad at all, but the dining experience left much to be desired. In the future I may avoid dining here and opt for another local steakhouse. read more

Foodis ok, but they run a special with the gift card that seems like a scam, they want you to buy a gift card and get another $10. Well I do this deal with most restaurants. When I went to purchase 2 $50 gift card I was told I could not use the card to pay for my meal I would need to use it on another visit. My girlfriend and I decided to go for some appetizers after a day of facials. We both had a few drinks and for appetizers we had the bullion onion and potato skins loaded with bacon and cheese. And a few orders of there complimentary rolls. We enjoyed everything, we did tell our waitress we would like to place to go orders at the end of our appetizers, that we would call he over when we were ready to order. She must of came over 6 times to see if we were ready to order yet.... It started to really annoy us , to the point we just ordered. I would like to report several occuring issues/complaints with the manager Alexis at the Stroudsburg Texas Roadhouse location. Being a manager is a professional position with a multitude of training I'd assume, and acting professional/polite has not been remotely possible with Alexis. Over the course of the time she has arrived at this location, she has grown increasingly rude. It began with simple profanity laced with anger such as "Do your fucking shit" or "Get to fucking work" and this wouldn't be a second or third time warning, I would understand that asking somebody multiple times to do something is taxing, but she would began the first sentence like this. Recently she cursed out two bussers for ordinary work, (Leaving a buss bin behind to catch up on tables is completely normal and allows more time to be on the floor, which gives them a bigger window to then muck both bins). Some of the unprofessional vulgarities said were, "Why is your shit here"; "You're supposed to get your shit together and go bus tables." Instead of asking questions she begins with profanity, she does not seek questions but throws rage and anger around. Multiple servers were in shock and also commented on this claim. After the Busser she was yelling at was trying to explain himself, she shut him down following with "I don't know why the fuck you bussers always have to give attitude. I find it insane that this behavior can still continue, in a professional role such as manager. read more

I was super hungry, so I stopped in at this restaurant. When I walked in, I walked past the host stand where several workers stood. They were consumed in what they were doing, so they didn't notice me. I went to the bar, and Santina was my bartender, and she was cool. I had to ask for her to clear the area where I was sitting. Some friends recommended to dine to this place when visiting them. I'd been meaning to try this franchise when we were in Texas 4 years but did not get the chance. Today the opportunity is given. As what I heard they are known for their hot breads, best to eat while waiting for the rest of the order. They are not lying. It is soft and tasty . I think everyone is wishing to deliver the order longer for full enjoyment of the breads. Our server was sweet and efficient. We were a group of 8 but the order did not take long. I am satisfied with my order expectations. My steak is cooked on how I wanted it. Juicy and hearty. The veggies on the sides complimented my meat. They could smother my meat with onions, mushrooms , cheese or gravy for extra charge but I want my steak clean and simple, thanks though for the offer. The ambiance is Texas environment. I would like to start by saying this is the first yelp review I have ever made. I purposely downloaded this app to comment on the service, food, and scene. The only reason why I give a 1 star is because of the waitress and waiter who were very very kind to us . We arrived there at 6:30 (approximately) we were seated like normal. We were greeted by our very nice waitress Aleeah. We ordered our drinks and our son's food along with appetizers. We ordered our dinner which was the 2 for 48 ( the 12 Oz ribeye and the 8 Oz sirloin medium) my son got the kids steak which was medium as well. When my son's steak came it was tough to cut, but because he's 7 and eats how he wants too we paid it no mind. The adult plates came out and the potatoes were cold cheese not melted, shrimp cold and rubbery, my husband's steak was well done and tough. We told the nice male waiter and the waitress about it and they brought over the manager. My husband was explaining how upset he was with the meal and said "s#it" and she automatically thought he was being "aggressive" and told him he doesn't need to curse in which I then interrupted and told her that's just who he is and he's visibly upset about food he will have to pay for. She then attempts to listen to our grievances and when I mentioned the issue with my shrimp she said well I already ate the steak making the insinuation that I wanted her to take off the entire meal, which was not the case. She was immensely condescending about our situation and made it seem like we were looking for a hand out. Not only that, instead of de-escalating a situation that was clearly NOT her fault, she made it worse by making my husband look like the aggressor because he said the word "s#it". Mind you he was very VERY calm, quiet and understanding that it was the chef and not the manager nor the waitresses. What gets me about this situation is, she was supposed to take his meal off because he literally did not eat it. She did not do that she took $8.00 off and gave us a voucher for a meal for next time in which we gave to the table next me WHO HAD THE SAME EXACT COMPLAINTS!! Came in at 12 on a Saturday afternoon. Our server Amber was patient and attentive. For a group of 12-13 people, she made sure each of our table was well taken care of. For that, I give Amber kudos Food: Mango Margarita with extra shot of patron - Tasted like mango-flavored water. I was not a fan, but I didnt expect much from this AppleBees type food chain. I probably wouldn't come back for a while if at all. flys also bombarded us our whole dinner. idk, it was only 8:30pm on a Sunday night. i feel like we got seated in a closed dirty section and forgotten about. Tonight was horrible. The server missed my wife's ticket so they brought dinner with no steak. NP it happens but our server came back 3 times in 25 minutes to say it is almost done. Even forgot my chili side which took 10 minutes to after I told her. Server never came back to about drinks. She came the table next to us but kept her back turned and walked away without stopping. She finally came back when she saw me call another server over. Again said it's almost done. Told her to forget it. My wife's baked potato was cold as well as my chicken as waited for her to eat. Unfortunately the day of my birthday, I had a server named Dimitryi, that was absolutely terrible. First off, he took about 10 minutes to come to the table for drink orders. By that time, we already knew what we wanted to drink and eat. We ordered an appetizer (I received a birthday coupon for a free appetizer, which he does not honor at the end of the meal, but we will get to that). Then I ordered their salmon entree, boyfriend ordered a steak and a side of chili. The grilled shrimp appetizer arrives cold. The chili arrives ice cold. By the way our server does not bring these, other people working at the restaurant do. The entrees come. They're fine. But you can tell they've been sitting awhile. We get our food to go because fortunately we are full from the rolls. I tell the server that I had a coupon for my birthday. He asks to look at my phone where the coupon is. He then runs off (I didn't know he had to go to the other side of the restaurant to investigate my coupon). He's literally gone for about 5 minutes!! He then comes back and says he cannot honor the coupon because it does not mean all appetizer even though it clearly says so a birthday coupon. He also doesn't bother saying happy birthday. I didn't want to make a big deal and my boyfriend just gives him his card to pay. Worst birthday dinner experience I have ever had. Delicious food and very nice staff! Definitely a restaurant to go to!! Location: it is located in Poconos. I was just visiting and I believe there is other locations! The interior is obviously texas with the horses and cowboy style. Service: Our server is nice and they greeted my mom happy birthday! Such a wonderful staffs to spent the night! Food: Everything is delicious and good!! But the FREE BREADS are the best!! They are freshly baked and when it comes they were hot and the butter that comes with it is just perfect! My family and I visited this location on Easter Sunday while vacationing in the Poconos. It was great! We were a large party, so we called ahead to join the wait list. Once we arrived, it was very busy but we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. We were immediately served their famous bread, which was fresh and hot. I would come here for the bread alone! Our waitress was friendly and patient. I ordered the sirloin steak with grilled shrimp, with the mashed potatoes and green beans on the side. Delicious! My whole family enjoyed their meals. The best part....the price!! My meal was only $19.99. At most other places it would have cost at least $30. You really can't beat their prices. We stopped for a quick dinner at the bar here last night. I got the "early bird" dinner for $11.99 (can't beat that!!) of a single pork chop and 2 sides (baked potato and corn). My hubby got the prime rib for $22 with a Caesar salad and baked potato. He got a coke while I got a glass of wine. I would've loved to have White Zinfandel but they said they don't carry that (why???- the reason I knocked off one star). So I had a white wine instead for $9. Our food came quickly and was delicious! My hubby remarked that his Prime rib was not fatty and fine perfectly. He also loved his salad which was chilled just to his liking. My pork chop was also delicious, not dry at all. The potatoes are huge and loaded with butter as is the corn. I forgot to mention that we quickly chowed down the 4 dinner rolls we got first! They are served warm and buttery with a side of cinnamon butter-- YUM! The service at the bar is friendly, professional and always aware of our needs. Lindsay, the bartender, is terrific! The place is decorated in the rustic Texas style; the bar area has booths plus the stools-- and there are lots of TVs, mostly tuned to a variety of sports stations. I have to admit I've always been weary of this chain . First off, the name sounds like a motel out of a horror film and secondly, it's a chain. I came here for the first time and I've been won over. It was a crowded night because of the holiday weekend and it's close to the ski/water park attractions. There is a call ahead service to reduce your wait time, which we utilized. We ended waiting about 25 min after our designated time, not too bad considering the waiting room was completely full. As soon as we were called, the hostess gave us the opportunity to pick out uncooked steaks from the meat counter. After picking them out, there is a ticket that is placed on the steak to "reserve" it for you. We were given hot soft bread with softened cinnamon butter. The bread was very good and we happily asked for seconds. The steak came out really delicious. It's nicely charred on the exterior and tender on the interior. The steak had grill marks on them which is probably why it tasted so good. The cut is good and the steak is fresh. I highly recommend picking out your own steak prior to ordering to ensure you get the cut you want. I've eaten at the Outback a few times and I've been disappointed each time with their cut. The steak came with 2 sides and was about $15 for the 14 oz to about $25 for the 20 oz. it's $2 extra for smothered mushrooms and onions. We also ordered the fried pickles, which I highly recommend.
