We had a great experience at Texas roadhouse - Waco. From the moment we walked in the service was friendly, efficient and welcoming. Our server, Joaquin is very friendly and attentive, keeping drinks refilled and made sure everything came out just right. The food was really great, perfectly cooked steaks, fresh salads, and nice and hot sides. Those rolls, you already know, those rolls!!! My husband likes the extra brown ones so he was in so excited tonight. Everything arrived hot and exactly as ordered. What really stood out was the management presence, Zac runs this location very well being there visible, checking on tables, and making sure guests are taken care of. Wait 10 minutes to get a server. Never got a server went to the bar. Had to wait about five minutes before one of the two bartenders that were playing around. I finally had to ask to make an order. Went to celebrate the wife's birthday so thought it would be a nice treat ,almost always get good food and service ,Not this time ,service was good but didn't notice we meaning two people could not eat half of one entree. The first prime rib (medium rare) came out medium well and half fat the second came out cooked correctly but was so fatty and stringy that we ether got tired of chewing and spat it out or didn't put it in our mouths and because it was so hard to cut it was so cold even with dipping in au juice it was just inedible and by then the undercooked baked potato was cold also. Again service was ok just should have been more concerned! And for people that say prime rib has fat! Yes we understand stand some but not half ,if not more and stringy like beef skirt ! I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service we have received during several recent visits to your Waco location. Over the past few months, my family and I have visited this restaurant multiple times, and unfortunately the level of service has noticeably declined. In the past, there were several managers who were actively present in the dining room, checking on tables and ensuring guests were taken care of. During those visits, managers would frequently stop by to ask how everything was going, which made the experience feel welcoming and well-managed. Recently, however, this level of attentiveness seems to be missing. Managers often walk through the dining area without acknowledging guests or checking on their experience. Additionally, during our last three visits, we have consistently experienced difficulty locating our servers. They frequently disappear for extended periods of time, making it difficult to request refills, additional bread, or assistance when something is wrong with the meal. On multiple occasions, not only our table but nearby tables have struggled to locate their server on the floor. Unfortunately, tonight's visit was no different. Our server, Gunner, was largely absent from our table for most of the evening. We repeatedly had to search for him and wait for assistance when we needed refills or had issues with our food. My wife ordered the beef tips, which arrived with very little gravy. When she later asked him to run a gift card to help pay for my parents' bill, he made a snarky comment about having to manually enter the numbers and walked away in a visibly frustrated manner. His attitude and lack of attentiveness were not the level of service I would expect from someone representing Texas Roadhouse. What made the experience even more disappointing is that this was meant to be my wife's birthday dinner. She was genuinely excited to celebrate here, as we have enjoyed dining at this location frequently over the nearly five years we have lived in Waco. Unfortunately, the poor service significantly impacted what should have been a special evening. We have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Texas Roadhouse, which is why this decline in service has been so disappointing. Based on our recent experiences, we have decided that we will no longer be returning to this location. Instead, we plan to visit the Temple location moving forward. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the level of service for future guests. read more

Contacted this location for a large group to-go order for a team. I called and spoke with one of the managers, Tre, about a week and a half ahead of our trip. He was super nice and helpful. I emailed him our order a few days ahead, and it was ready on time when I got there on day of. Tre was awesome and it was such a smooth process. Never had a chance to go to a Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in California. So today, now that I am in Texas, it's just but a shame not to experience dining in one. Reservations was made by my daughter-in -law on the app and we got in in 10 minutes . We were seated in an over crowded area that had diners conversing too loud and practically can not help hearing their exchange of discussions. Katelin gave us an exceptional and attentive service. Brought us 2 bread baskets of their tasty rolls and creamy cinnamon butter. I ordered the FALL-OFF-THE-BONE BBQ baby back ribs and it didn't disappoint. Went to dinner this evening. The parking "Gods" were with us ... found a parking spot directly across from the entrance... walked in and was seated within 5 minutes. Our meal was right in line with our luck! It was delicious! I got the steak and shrimp with 2 sides. My "Guy" got the pulled pork dinner. I can't express how delicious my meal was. That steak was melt in your mouth tender! And the shrimp had the perfect amount of seasoning. Our waitress was spot on with drink refills . So all in all it was a perfect Friday night date night! So the place as others noted was busy and they text you when you are about to be seated. We waited about 20 minutes. The hostess was very nice. It was somewhat loud. We were seated. It was my roommates birthday. We ordered a cactus blossom and got the free rolls. I didn't care really for the cinnamon butter. The dipping sauce for the cactus blossom was pretty great and the fried onion what could be wrong with that. She got the road kill dinner and liked. I ordered the country fried sirloin w salad and fully loaded baker. Everything was very good and service was very good. Neither too little or two much. I can see coming back for special occasions. I am not one to leave bad reviews on places, but the service here was horrible. Me and my family waited 2 hours after ordering our food before we even got it. we had multiple different servers coming one after another trying to take our order again even after we had ordered. I ordered a sweet tea and it came unsweet 2 times until they finally got it right. Whenever my stepdad asked when we'd get our food, and yes he had a slight tone in his voice considering we'd been waiting so long, the waitress had an attitude at him when it was her fault we were in this situation in the first place. Eventually, we got our food but by that time we weren't even hungry because our appetizers had gone to settle. All of our food was unseasoned and just not very good. Steaks weren't rare like ordered, burgers were plain when ordered everything on it, mashed potatoes weren't good. This experience was horrible and we probably will not be attending anytime soon. If I could give negative stars, I would. Oh! and one more thing, we still had to pay full price for our food. After everything. Most would assume a discount of some sort, but no. Nothing. We ate here as a family pre Christmas celebration. We arrived before they opened...and there was plenty of parking, but within 15 minutes the lot was full. When the doors open we got in line...the wait was about 10 minutes. They have a great set up in regards to service...the employees line up and they quickly move the line through and seat people promptly! We were seated and I then realized the table was just too small to accommodate my family..no problem we were moved to a bigger table without issue. The waitress was prompt, courteous, and listened to our questions, as this was our first time. The food...the food was filling...hot...and tasted great no complaints. Texas Roadhouse does not honor a senior discount. They're early bird special from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. is only good if you are dining inside the restaurant. It is not stated on their menu or on their website that it is only good for dining in. When confronted with the manager about these irregularities, the manager just shrugged her shoulders and said that is the restaurants' policy. It is very difficult to dine in the restaurant because the music is so loud conversation cannot be made by the patrons. Definitely will not be frequently this restaurant in the future. read more

I normally have zero issues with Texas Roadhouse, but I decided to get a salad and bread for lunch here since it's close to the hotel I'm staying while visiting. I ordered only a salad and rolls, my pickup time was 21 minutes. Come time to pickup, they said it was not ready. So, I waited another 20 minutes for it to be finished. Which for a salad and bread is pretty insane. What sucks worse is that the chicken in my salad had hair cooked into it. Definitely won't be back here again. read more

A year ago we moved to the Waco area. We visited the Waco Texas Roadhouse and loved how it was so much better than the Temple and Killeen locations. Even expressing how great it was to the staff. Since January 2024, our opinion has changed and tonight was the final straw. The Waco Texas Roadhouse is not about quality of service. We have had five peoples orders cooked wrong during our last two visits. The delay to eat with the others is an emotional drain on the joy of being with family. The focus goes from family being together, talking about our families. To waiting for our family members to get their food. The conversation turns to wondering when will the food come out and will it be right. During my father's first visit with us in January 2024, they cooked his steak wrong. The manager was all about making it and things rights! Great Job Sir! Tonight, my father's steak was cooked wrong three times. They took his steak back, returned it, and it was still wrong. They had to be told the french fries were now cold while waiting for his steak. The third time they came back, his steak was still wrong. MEDIUM, NOT RARE!!!!! Everything was brought to the attention of one of the three managers on duty. The one manager, knew the second and third steaks were wrong and was questioned about the bill. She never followed up with us prior to us leaving. She never brought us the adjusted bill. Instead the waiter brought us our final check. This was all after we were seated and provided no silverware to put butter on our rolls. Then when our salads were delivered we still had to remind them we did not have any silverware. They brought us plastic ware, saying the silverware was being wrapped. I had to ask two servers for pink packets for my wife's drink. The forth time I asked she finally got it.
